Six: I'm presuming Suzu was in on the meeting where everyone determined this. The way Lovisia was talking about implied premeditation.
Can't hurt to bring her up here. Talk to her about this. Make absolutely sure she understands the risks, even if she likely knows them already.
It's her family's heads on the block here. She's the only one who has the right to make that choice.
"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp."Lisa: It honestly is about our current mission, though. Partly, at least.
One thing I'm realizing is... I don't like these people. I'm not talking just about the old man, I mean that I really don't like any of them or their land. All this shit I thought was cool on a surface level, like Samurai, wizards... but it isn't. It's an arbitrary, rigid social hierarchy that hurts ordinary men and women who weren't born into a position of power. And we are lending support to it by doing this job. We are, bluntly, the bad guys in this situation.
I really want to find something else to do. I guess I'm just afraid to let go of what I have.
Lisa: Ling... our job is to directly interfere in the delicate political structure of a foreign world on the behalf of one of it's rulers. Those kinds of actions have far reaching consequences. Yes, in this case I believe it really is our job to change the world.

Lisa: Now that question is pretty simple. I'd change it into one that is more fair and just. Where men and women can stand on equal ground, and the caste system is abolished.
But that's just not going to happen. Not because of us, anyways. The change this world needs can't be started by a bunch of outsiders. But I'm not sure it's going to happen through the people who live here either, honestly. I don't exactly have much faith in them.
Ling: While I certainly understand your need to make a change to this world, you are correct in that you cannot force it as such. Imposing your own ideation of justice through brute strength would never work, and would only serve to hinder it. That is the way of tyranny.
But I am surprised at how fast you are to write off the people here. There are more than plenty of those who have the capacity to bring forth a fair and equal system, even now. And if you wish to pass on your ideas to them...
-She holds her hand and creates a ball of light, which shows images of several of the fox people they have met on it, such as Tanaka and Suzu's sister Ren-
Ling: Who is to say they will not carry them on, surviving by their own merits? As they say, justice must inevitably triumph, but it must be through the will of a populace who is willing to bear such notions.

We Are Our Avatars Forever (Now on Discord by invitation, PM)Six: I need to pull you away for a second. Long story short, Momonga brought up something and I need to make sure you stay informed.
I'd ask if you had a minute, but we're not too far out from our target, and...
It's... it's complicated.
"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp."-And so Six enters the room-
-After Suzu enters, he shuts the door-
Six: So. Remember back to when we met our... contractor.
You're aware that most of the group wants to kill him, right? Just to see if we're on the same page.
"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp."Six: I'm not going to pretend like I know more about your society than you do. You're probably already aware of this.
But just in case you're not, I've been informed there are certain... risks to what we're going to do. What might happen to your family afterwards.
Momonga?
"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp."

Ling: Hmmmmm.
A crisis of identity, is it?
I do rather understand this notion. I can see you are surrounded by the guilt of what you have lived. I can say without certainty that taking a life, in the eyes of someone like me, is always the loss of a life. It matters not their deeds or their word, once their life is extinguished there is no more. Only the mass of energy that once bound their spirit to this world.
But I can see it is not about this man or just the people of this land, but more about what you feel is worthwhile. And I can tell you wish to leave a true impact upon the world. So, hmmmmm...I suppose the only way to really answer that is that...life is not always what you wish it to be. Life is about the circumstances you are put in, and how you make the most of those circumstances. Regretting gives you time to reflect, but nothing more. There comes a point when you can only shoulder your burden and continue forth with a purpose you give yourself.
That being said, I think if you feel dissatisfied, you should not hesitate to branch out and discover what truly brings you happiness. If nothing else, I can guarantee you that no matter what you choose, it will be yours. No other man or spirit can ever take that choice away from you.
Momonga: Indeed. I know that none of what I say is provable. Or one hundred percent certifiable.
But I have seen the ways the Scorpion move. How the underhand bites the phoenix's chin and leaves it disoriented, while the scorpion flees to safety. And while the Scorpion still have shown themselves to be loyal to the Emperor time and time again, for the most part...I have my doubts on the ones you have lent your aid to.
