Asagi: She did say it was a political marriage. They do it all the time on feudal worlds, half the time neither the groom or bride even see each other before the ceremony. Some're betrothed by, like, the age of ten or five but left alone until they're old enough to be punted out to raise their own family.
It's never about love with people like this, it's about connections and business dealings. Even bloodlines were a commodity to be bought and sold.
After what we've seen here, is that like a surprise anymore, that people's lives are so easy to buy, sell, and discard for the wealthy like toilet paper?
