-Well, it's pretty much as they left it. Besides Nadask being able to see the warrior woman sitting on the front porch, sipping some tea-
You pick up the phone, ARGUS
You feel a knot in your guts as someone on the other end whispers into your ear in a way that makes you feel unusually small.
Do you attempt to interpret the scratchings, or do you reject it?

-Nobody like that follows you around and means well without directly approaching you-
-ARGUS attempts to interpret the weird scratchiness on her insides-
-After a couple of seconds of worrying about whether or not dying fucked up her regulatory implants, and writing the scratching off as Bad Augmentation Shit-

We Are Our Avatars Forever (Now on Discord by invitation, PM)The Return to Centerpoint
Welcome back!
It's been about a month since you came back from Stroj, and it feels like an enemy Stand stopped time, because all you've been doing is sitting slack-jawed with your thumbs up your ass (or ass equivalent) waiting for contracts to come.
In a vain attempt to pass the time, you've all been doing odd jobs that last 10 seconds and pay you in pennies. There was that one time you had to fix a crane - that's probably the only interesting thing that happened this month; construction. It seemed like every part of the station was getting renovated in some way. Even the utility tunnels, if the "Wet Floor" signs in there were anything to go by. The crane was easy to fix, by the way; Suzu and Asmodeus's skills with electronics, Mercuria's excellent metallurgy, and Stubbs's ability to carry very big things made it an easy job.
That job paid well. Most of them didn't. Like the one time where you tried to catch a shoplifter, but Oliver got too excited and Stimmed into him so hard that he ended up body surfing him past two intersections. You had to spend money paying for his medical care, as if you don't already spend enough for yourselves.
Last week Asagi helped an old woman get a space cat (yes, a space cat) out of an air vent. Fortunately, she paid in cookies, which was better than the pay that half the group got from getting a regular cat out of a space vent the day after (hint: $0 and a fee to admit the cat to the local animal shelter).
And who can forget when Longram was assigned to troubleshoot somebody's computer and managed to somehow knock out the entire station's electrical grid for 12 minutes? Nobody knows what happened, and Longram isn't talking, no matter what anyone threatens or coerces him with.
Some of you are handling this better than others are - grateful for the quiet, or busying themselves with hobbies. But for the vast majority of you? The construction has tapered off, so the OSHA Violations betting pool has paid up. After one night where Bruce got drunk and managed to full combo all of Keytar Hero's hardest songs, the game's appeal has dried up a bit. And, impossibly, the Backdoor Sluts series jumped the shark with some episode where a dude and a foxgirl made sweet love to a bear.
The point is; the past month has been BORING. With a capital "all letters". And most of you just want something of substance to happen before you go insane and try to rob a bank just so you can feel again!

~there's a tiefling woman
standing in front of the used-to-be-front-door, her arm outstretched and smoldering a little~
???: "Uh... hi?" ._.

Oliver: SAYS YOU! YOU'VE BEEN WATCHING IT EVERY TIME IT'S COME ON!

Yeah, we're the mercenaries.
I think. Which ones you looking for?
