—Council #3 nods and turns to the other two Council members. The first one who mentioned Amanda taps a console on the table and the view of the planet zooms in to show some of its terrain
◊—
Council #3: This is planet Lucia. It was among the last of the planets the colonist ships were chosen to land upon and colonize. Apparently it's inhabited mainly by two major nations, Menagerie and Morningstar. The two nations seem to share a long-lasting if tense peace with each other.
Council #2: Unfortunately the colonists arrival was at a very...bad time, to say the least. According to what information was allowed to be sent, their ship arrived near a border town that apparently was supposedly subject to month long raids by soldiers. Although one message said that the town's people just, vanished for that whole month.
Council #3: And now the colonists are under arrest for being potential spies or collaborators with Menagerie. Which is even more confusing considering Menagerie denies such claims according to Morningstar. So, bottom line, we need you guys to help clear the air and names of our colonists before a war starts over some stupid misunderstandings by a few xenophobic soldiers.
'If you fall seven times, stand up eight.' The cry of the Undead.Council #2: For the moment, we can assume they are, since a stream of messages is still being relayed to the station, and I doubt a bunch of chainmail wearing brutes can figure out how to manage an interface without looking blindingly obvious that they don't know half of what they're doing.
Council #3: Oh, yes, forgot to mention that. You see, Morningstar's people are at a more...medieval point in their civilization, and Menagerie is populated almost exclusively by mythological creatures. No demons or angels, but you can expect plenty of nymphs, satyrs, centaurs, harpies, sphinxes, and any other manner of beast of legend you can imagine. And yes, you're being sent on a more diplomatic mission. So no blowing things up as a way of saying hello. Try shaking hands first, please?
—Council #1 looks at Fen's naked form, then nods his head almost like he's approving—
@Fen: Miss, while I do approve of a goddess's figure such as yourself, might I ask why you have no clothes?

Council #3: Actually Morningstar is more of an oligarchy, but that's beside the point. Besides the fact you're diplomats representing us, there's a point of significance you should consider. The border town was apparently in within the land of one of the major houses of Morningstar's oligarchy, House Boletaria. And they're the house that provides soldiers and weapons for the rest of the country. And apparently they're quite xenophobic. So if you intend to bring any of your more...magically inclined members, I'd suggest they try not to set anyone off, intentionally or otherwise. Less paperwork for us people, you know?
Council #2: Also while you're there you'll be investigating the town and the populace who mysteriously vanished the month before the colonists arrived. Maybe you'll pick up something to help explain if it really was raids from mythological beasts that caused the townspeople to disappear. If you do find anything, you're to report it to the capital of Morningstar, the city of Dil. No I am not joking. And you'll probably want to report in person, just so they don't take any offense or misinterpret stuff. They don't know what a phone or radio is, so they'll probably smash the poor thing before you can even get your message across.
'If you fall seven times, stand up eight.' The cry of the Undead.Six: So after we clear things up regarding the innocence of the colonists, we figure out what happened to this mystery town and report it to the Britons?

"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp."Council #3: I'd say we'd be expecting knights and nobles to be the ruling classes in Morningstar. Mainly agriculture is provided by peasants and farmers, who are taxed by the upper classes. There are five main houses, from the messages we've received. And unfortunately, Mister Six, I fear you have it backwards. You'll have to investigate the town first, and if you can find evidence that proves the colonists weren't somehow involved, then you report it. It's odd, but that's how they want us to play this little game.
'If you fall seven times, stand up eight.' The cry of the Undead.Council #2: You wanted to say something Mister Ges?
Council #3: They do know that you ultimately answer to us, yes. However we're in their eyes also some nebulous Council who they've never met face to face. So you can understand why we'd prefer you report to them. If nothing else, it's a sign of good faith, I'd like to believe.
