Ironscales: Not what I remember hearing Greece being like
(@Longram) Eh, changes in management basically made them genocidal dickheads. Pretty much The Enclave two-point-oh. Now with 200 percent more feudalism!
Tried to get their grubby hands where they shouldn't have, bit off more than they could chew, aaaaand made themselves the wrong enemies.
Longram: "Heh, this would be interesting."
"Go on."
@Eurybe "I see."
"And from I've learned in my textbooks, Greece was part of the European Commonwealth and where this energy conglomerate, Poseidon Energy, got their project names from."
"Hades, Hermes, Athena, and Zeus being the top of my heads."

Six: Forgive me if I assume wrongly, but the weapons you've heard of, they'd likely be... muskets? Arquebi?
Something like cannons made for a person to hold. Long tube, shoots metal balls, you have to actually cram the "gaijin pepper" into it beforehand... any of that sound familiar?

"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp."Momonga: Oh, do forgive me for not being clear. When I say we do not have firearms, I mean "The Hantei Dynasty outright outlawed any usage or mention of it outside of scholarly means or specific circumstances".
So the most I can say is "maybe" in regards to that, since it sounds somewhat familiar from the history texts I have perused before on that subject.
We Are Our Avatars Forever (Now on Discord by invitation, PM)Six: Oh, it's a "rulers outlaw it" deal.
Either way, I can help you try to understand why we use that as opposed to, say, a bow. Or a sword. Just ask and I'll answer.

"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp."Six: I'd like to at least preface this by saying there's a lot of different guns. My experience lies primarily with the weapons I use, and some might be different. Do ask around.
To answer your question, though, there's a few. I think the biggest advantage, though, is range.
With a sword, you have to be right next to your target to harm them, right? Unless you're very good at being quiet and sneaky, they're probably going to know you're there.
The guns I use? The UNSC's standard-issue rifle can hit a point target out to about eight hundred metres if your aim's really good.

Six: So far as I'm aware? In lieu of anyone else to be, yeah.
