Six: Get settled in, then. Not much is going on right now.
I'd recommend getting familiar with the mech bay. Those giant robots are what will be doing most of the fighting work out there. Best get the culture shock out of the way immediately.
"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp."Haken: (@Takanuva) I'll try to answer your questions, but I can't promise I will know the answers.
(@Quartz) ok so if I remember correctly there are three major theories for why mechs of varying shape and size keep showing up on Idacra.
Theory 1 is considered the most unscientific but the religious crowd normally supports it, that there is no scientific reason but rather they appear because people wish for them to appear. If no one has told you, a lot of religions on this planet normally revolve worshipping a metal giant since it's said the first sentient beings on Idacra were defended by a scythe wielding, sky scraper sized, bat looking suit of armor. I'm not really sure I believe it, but the universe is weird like that.
Theory 2 is that the boundary of space and time in Idacra is weak, so these machines are actually appearing from *our* future and are simply a self perpetuating cycle where eventually one of them is sent back to provide the basis for itself. It's often also combined with the possibility that alternate dimensional versions of Idacra are all collapsing into one version, but there are holes in that theory too.
Theory 3 is that they're actually from the past, left over remnants of a super civilization that once inhabited Idacra but either left or died out. We've found ruined cities before and there are even paintings of some of the machines we're using now. Hell I've gone tomb crawling in a few to hope and find some treasure with that shield liger over there being one of my spoils, but this doesn't explain all of the machines we find.
This is all on top of the fact that we've gotten inter-dimensional refugees and visitors from space before. For all I know, all of these theories could be true, or all of them false.

-The captain can only shrug-
Haken: personally I have my own theory, I think Idacra is a giant petri dish for someone or something. I'm not sure what the goal is though, whether to see if we can overcome fighting despite having such powerful weapons at our disposal, or to create the strongest warriors and weapons possible, hell it might just even be 'for fun.'

Solas: Figures. You sure know how to pick 'em.
