—Well, probably asking too much at first. Better to slow down and start with one question at a time.—
@Momonga: <Oh, sorry. Guess I was too excited and overwhelmed you. And, well, your ears are so...furred. Where I am from, we rarely see fur on well, any kind of Rahi. I've heard tales from Turaga Vakama of creatures like Gukko birds who have these light things called feathers, but fur is something that I've only heard from stories in the Onu-Metru Archives. But to see something with them as appendages, it's...well it's a little astounding if I'm honest! And if I can ask another question, why do you carry that sword tool around you? Can you channel an element through it?>

'If you fall seven times, stand up eight.' The cry of the Undead.-Momonga feels the sides of her head, absolutely baffled as to what he means about the ears-
Momonga: @Manakuta <I apologize, I do not know what you are talking about. These are swords. They are something all samurai carry in preparation of their duties. And I am not a shugenja, I do not "channel the elements".>
@Suzu <Because following the basics of bushido requires it? I would ask why you are only carrying your katana around, but I suppose Hoshiniha has different sensibilities.>
We Are Our Avatars Forever (Now on Discord by invitation, PM)—Takanuva takes a look between Suzu's sword and Momonga's pair of swords. One seems to be longer than either, and he assumes that's the one Momonga and Suzu were referring to, respectively.—
@Momonga: <What sort of duties? Do you protect your village like a Toa or something? I'd think it difficult to fight a Rahi...sorry, an...animal, I suppose is the word, with just a single blade, especially without any elemental powers.>
@Suzu: <Really? Your tool can dispell this...magic and whatnot? Can I see a demonstration?>
'If you fall seven times, stand up eight.' The cry of the Undead.Momonga: <Greetings again, ninja-san. I see that you are well this evening.>
@Manakuta <I protect the lands and those I am tasked to with protect with my very life. I prefer the use of my nodachi for a more serious conflict, but a samurai's blade will not break if he has lived his life according to Bushido, no matter how many times it was tempered before.>
@Suzu <Are you saying that women are not intended to fight for themselves or others in Hoshiniha?>
We Are Our Avatars Forever (Now on Discord by invitation, PM)—Takanuva looks over to the voice and spots Lisa and waves her over—
@Momonga: <.....That's quite the burden you bear on yourself Momonga. Wouldn't it be easier to protect the entire land if you had others to help share the burden with you? I don't think you should keep yourself alone if you wish to survive. My people believe in three virtues: Unity, Duty, and Destiny. But if you believe in Duty at all like me, how can you protect the entire land all by yourself?>
@Suzu: <I could create a light construct and we can see if your tool works on it, can't we?>
@Lisa: <Hello Lisa. Come on over, I was just talking with Momonga and Suzu.>
'If you fall seven times, stand up eight.' The cry of the Undead.-Momonga considers this for only a moment-
Momonga: <I fail to see the logic in that. Every samurai is expected to be capable of defending their home, even if they were not trained specifically as bushi, regardless of their gender.>
@Takanuva <I am not the only samurai, if that is what you mean. I am one of many who would give their life to protect that which is most precious in Rokugan.>
We Are Our Avatars Forever (Now on Discord by invitation, PM)—Takanuva seems relieved to hear that Momonga is not the only one defending her land. Strength together always overcomes strength alone—
@Momonga: <That is a relief to hear. For a moment I thought you were like Tahu and would try to fight all your battles alone. He nearly lost his life on more than a few occasions to his stubbornness. If it wasn't for the other Toa to help him, he might not be around, despite being the leader.Tell me, who is your Turaga...sorry, elder in Rokugan?>
@Lisa: <Momonga and I are getting to know each other. Well, actually it's more like I'm asking Momonga questions and she's answering.>

'If you fall seven times, stand up eight.' The cry of the Undead.Suzu: <That is where it stops at though, home defence.... warfare is too bloody to risk loosing us>
<The duties of a woman in the samurai caste are three fold, sire a family to continue the line, repair and maintain her husbands equipment for waging war, and to defend the household>
-her ears pin as she recites this-
@ Takanuva: <It is still risky>

-In spite of herself, the samurai fluff actually laughs at Suzu's explanation-
Momonga: <I do apologize, but that is an incredibly odd viewpoint, even knowing my ways are not your own. That is very untrue for the land of Rokugan. In fact, I am rather sure that if you told a bushi like the Lion's most revered Lady Matsu that her place was in the home, she would have run her sword into their mouth and down their throat, then held them aloft to illustrate how much she believes her place is not at the front.>
@Takanuva <Shiba Tajima-sama.>
We Are Our Avatars Forever (Now on Discord by invitation, PM)@Momonga: <So this, Shima Tajima-sama, does he guide your village like Turaga Vakama did for mine?>
@Suzu: <If you insist. And if I may offer my two credits, I must agree that the female's gender has no place defining her place on the battlefield. My sister Gali is the most pacifistic of us all, and she commands the oceans themselves if she so wanted. Trust me, her gentleness is not a thing to be taken granted for. Otherwise you'll be soaked by a waterfall before you know it. That or worse.>
'If you fall seven times, stand up eight.' The cry of the Undead.
