Since Chuck was given a couple hours to fix his, not a day, and yet he has gone to bed there wont be a last minute adition like was posible.
This means Spart has won.
Congrats Spart.
Edit: To make this clear, I dont want to hear another round of complaints chuck, I made it abundantly clear you would have to fix it tonight and you went to bed.

I'll begin procedures to start moving the plot tomorrow. First event should start on Friday the 9th.

"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp."Might as well. I don't see any issue with Serenity coming back, and even if I did, you're the GM, so I don't think I'd be able to stop you even if I wanted to considering you outrank everyone in this roleplay.
So why not become the ship again?

"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp.">Great Old One
>"She also can charm and hypnotize humans with her voice, and sometimes does so unintentionally."
Welp. Good news and bad news! Good news is, I don't have to think about how I play any more. But that's also the bad news, because both of my characters are human, and if they're around when Cthylla engages Siren Mode they don't have any other choice but to immediately fall to her beck and call, as anything else completely undermines the fact she's a Great Old One.
Now, Riddle, I know you are the opposite of an ass, and you wouldn't abuse this for anything more than punchlines, but the issue I have is 100% with the principle of the thing, that being "my characters are robbed of agency if they participate in a plot with her and try to do something she doesn't like". As you've probably already ascertained, I am slightly pertubed by this.
"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp."The only electronics she can take control over would be stuff she owns anyway, due to having become familiar with the internal workings of it. Beyond that, the idea is that she'll mostly be using it to find things where she doesn't belong in electronics, find a "path" to another electronic system that's connected to the one she entered (provided its a wired connection), or disrupting or disabling them temporarily, but anybody using the system she's in could overturn/prevent anything she does, without her having much say.
And it's so easy when you're evil... This is the life for me, the Devil tips his hat to me...In light of the enchantment shilling issue we talked about the other day, and then singlehandedly solo-destroying large amounts of a military base.
Turax's aproval has been withdrawn for not so much breaking the power scale as crushing it like it was a childs toy.
If you think this can be worked out, I am willing to listen, but he not only destoryed two orbital guns, he also leveled an armored vehicle, then fleed from an entire garrison of gaurds, ON HIS OWN.
That.... is way above what was okay.
I was really not expecting any of the structures to get obliterated like that, especially not the second tower that was just intended to slightly catch fire from the fireball. ._.
I dunno which armored vehicle you mean, mind linking the relevant post?
And the escape was situational application of an ability he can do once a day at the very most, at the very steep downside of A: Not knowing how soon he can come back (which, given he is my only character, is a pretty bad thing) and B: Needing a way to be located and picked up once he does.
Aside from the Acid, which was acquired through a fairly long played-out scene and not vetoed, everything he did was something explicitly noted on his sheet since day one, just applied in an efficient way for the task at hand.
I am totally willing to work with you on this if necessary, but I'll need a basic outline of whatg you think needs to be cut first.

Tl;DR ahead, so skip to the bottom if you don't have the patience to read.

While normally this would be a situation where I let the player and DM sort it out by themselves, I feel that the problems that Sunny is facing is not something that can be easily explained nor easily solved with a simple pruning of the character sheet, but rather an issue inherent with the character's capabilities vs the duties of this game's GM to adhere to the principle of artificially enforced balance we had all agreed upon when we had started this game. A principle that's had to have made many compromises regarding certain things, yes, but still one that the game drives under.
From the Player's perspective, nothing wrong was done. Turax's use of fireballs, earthquakes, and his ability to planeshift were all under his sheet, and it is on the DM to decide its effectivness therein. And considering Spart's a very permissive sort of DM, the result was a far larger domino effect than intended. So honestly, you did everything by the book there, and there's not much else you could have done that doesn't involve pestering the DM himself to create effects specifically how you want it.
From a Game Master's perspective, however, the inherent problem with Turax that was highlighted by this particular incident is a far harder to solve issue. It's not that his magic power in and of itself is the problem. It's that his capacity for magic as a planeswalker has no obvious ceiling, which means that his power is completely dependent on the GM's whims which makes dealing with him harder.
...And if that doesn't make much sense, let me explain it like this.
Take a character like Hathor for example. Right on the sheet, it says that "her control over [arcane magic associated with the weather] is limited, and cannot be used to do more than create small clouds or create water droplets." That's a completely definable power with an obvious and explicit limit to her abilities, even taking out factors like local conditions or her own stamina, and they can be worked with by the player independent of the GM's whims.
Turax doesn't have that. From what little I know of Magic the Gathering and assumptions I am making based on in-character dialogue, his capacity to use magic is supposedly limited by the surrounding environment. Which means that in his case, his powers either do work or don't work. No exceptions. If the GM decides the surrounding area has no magic in it, than he's just stuck as a big burly alien with multiple redundant organ systems that make him nearly impossible to kill by conventional means save for insanely powerful weapons. But if the GM says the surrounding area has magic, then his fireball spell could be spewed anywhere from the size of a chihuahua to the size of a humvee because we don't know what his upper limit is. As far as I can tell, he doesn't have one. And while I have roleplayed with you for years to know that you would not have any interest in abusing this for the sake of fun for everyone...from a DM's perspective, this is an issue that is ridiculously hard to work around.
It's the same kind of thing that I initially took issue with regarding Rhyme's character before her summoning limitations were defined (and one that I will have to preemptively work to fix for my own character Asagi since she's starting to go up in power little by little). But it's gonna mean putting a big squash upon a key aspect of the character known as Urdnot Turax. Which is not something people are really happy to do since it'll be a headache of working out all the details.
Long story short is that Turax is a Krogan with a capacity for magic heavily dependent upon the DM's opinion of the player that day, and that means he is still the game's equivalent of a walking nuke since he will still be physically capable enough to stay within the upper crusts of the game's artificial balance, even if the GM essentially tried to cut him off from his main power source. And that power source currently has no obvious defined limits beyond 0% and 1000% effectiveness.
So, yeah. If you're going to fix anything, you guys will have to work to decide how you want to handle that first.
Unless I misinterpreted everything, in which case I'll delete this posthumously. >.>

We Are Our Avatars Forever (Now on Discord by invitation, PM)Sunny and I actually talked about this pretty early and agreed on keeping the spells which Turax can cast limited to things that cost four three mana or less as represented on actual MTG cards, with anything more expensive (or heavily undercosted because early MTG had severe cost-balancing issues) than that requiring her approval.
Although I believe we never talked about this in public so since I didn't put it on the sheet, noone but her actually knows about that limit.

Considering who has the biggest intro written out, guess I'm obligated to go with Spart's.
