Ever played Limbo?

[down] Hard to say. But if I have to choose, it would be a tie between:

1. The Picaresque / Swashbuckler

2. Tragedy

3. British aesthetic / French decadent literature

4. Southern Gothic

5. Philosophical Novel

6. Irish literature

7. Persian poetry

Favorite genre of literature?

[down] I'd probably have to say Boggy himself, if he counts. Monsters who turn out not to be evil are one of my favorite character archetypes. Plus, he's kind of cute. tongue

Other than him, I'd have to say Bobby Burle for mostly the same reason (looks scary, but is one of the nicer characters) and Sally Spears for having some of the funniest dialogue in the game. I also liked Lady Weybridge for how mysterious she was. I was happy that none of these three turned out to be the killer.

What was the most "deep" thing you experienced from a video game?

[down] No. And even if they could (or even would, for that matter) redeem themselves it would take a complete change in business practices and some corporate heads might need to be sliced.

Do you think it's possible for Electronic Arts to redeem itself in the eyes of the public? What do you think would it take?

[down] The original Doom and Doom II. Graphics aside, I found that the gameplay and level design have aged gracefully. The games are still a blast to play today. What makes them special, though, is the extreme moddability of the engine. Just by downloading a .wad file, you can transform the game into a completely different FPS, or even something out of a different genre altogether.

Favorite game mook?

[down] Out of... any game? So many to choose from, and also not sure if I should go more with the boss fight or the character themselves but a few that comes to mind in no real order:

  • The Cat Battleships and Submarines from Parodius just because I like the design and they're fun to fight x3 Actually a lot of Parodius bosses, they're fun and weird
  • Also tend to really like Kirby final bosses and different kinds of phases there
  • The Amon Bonus Boss fights in Yakuza tend to be really intense stuff aside from the time in Kiwami 2 where I just easily wrecked them all with my OP infinite durability weapons and equipment
  • If Rhythm Heaven remixes can be counted as bosses, then the final remixes. Just so cool to have all the songs and minigames in the game mixed together in one

If you had to choose between living in Lilo's world or the Pokemon world, which would you choose and why?

[down]My new favorite one is a spoiler for Kirby Star Allies. It's the music for the new final boss phase in Soul Melter EX. It's an excellent example of Sad Battle Music, but if you haven't beaten Soul Melter EX yet, I don't want to spoil it for you.

There are probably some older ones that I love as well, but I need to think. I'll come back and edit this later.

EDIT: Oh! The Klonoa series has some very emotional tracks. Untamed Heart and King of Sorrow are some of the most beautiful. (And I'm not ashamed to admit that 1:42 of the former almost always makes me tear up.)

[down] I already said this before, so I'll repeat that my favorite MLP movie is My Little Pony: Equestria Girls – Friendship Games.

[down][down] I think their integration into the plot of the "Dark Seeker Saga" Story Arc is pretty well done. Besides, who's to say that Disney characters can't go serious? We've seen that quite a few times. (For some reason, cue flashbacks to Runaway Brain)
