The end of the latest volume got posted! That was good. Kinda sad, but good. Wish Rin had done more...

The comment about hiding in hay piles makes me think Peco has more in common with Assassin's Creed and Hitman than platformers :x

Looks like the anime's all caught up with the manga now, so if there are plans for a third season we probably won't see it for a while, unless they decide to adapt the prequel manga in some manner :(

I don’t know, this season was such a drop in everything and had way too much drama and the new characters made things far worse.

It pretty much faithfully adapted the manga.

Blame the author? tongue

[up][up] I had the exact opposite reaction: it felt slightly more realistic than the previous season, which grounded the humour better and made for an overall better season.

A question: do the programming and debugging teams ever get actual names?

I'll have to run through, but I don't think so.

There was a diagram of the different groups, but I don't think anyone got named...

(Is doing a fanfic and I don't want to just make names up.) tongue

[up] Ahagon is the leader of the programming team and she has a name.

Nene joins them for real later, and we had a new addition to the team in vol 6 in the form of Narumi.

There's three unnamed ladies in the first season. That's who I'm thinking of anyway..

I heard the author is making 2 chapters per month, so we might not have to wait that much for a third season.

Just got Seven Seas Entertainment's translated manga (which happens to be Seven Seas' first Kirara series). This is also the first officially translated manga that decided the names are in the Eastern order.

[up] Does it come with translators notes with a line-by-line code review of every single function, method, class and struct that Nene works with, analysis on null pointer exceptions and various other errors that can occur in C++, UML diagrams, and details on which object-oriented design approach that is followed? wink

[up] It has no translation notes for anything (unlike Yen Press who gives a minimum of Japanese Honorifics note), but null pointers isn't in the first volume yet.

[up] Aww shucks, that means we won't be able to have detailed analysis of Nene's code and its significance on the narrative cool

[up] I mean, I don't recall seeing the null pointer bit in the first volume, so I can't way how Seven Seas deals with it. You mean the chapter where Umiko appears, right?

[up] I'm aware of that, was saying we'll be a ways off before we can see what happens and call upon your extensive knowledge of programming so we can do a line-by-line of what Nene and Umiko were doing.

I just wondered why Seven Seas Entertainment is making renaming Fairies Story to Fairy Stories such a Serious Business. They have meticulously changed every piece of background such that there's no sign that it was Fairies Story. As we discussed above, the original title can't even be said as ungrammatical.

[up] That's just their choice. As a fellow software developer, I figure that you should already be familiar with people having very peculiar ways of naming classes and methods tongue

As someone who just got done watching the entire anime over the course of a week, OVA included, I quite liked the first season, had a lot of fun with it and really enjoyed the characters and humor. Kou and Umniko are Best Girls btw, and Kou/Rin is my OTP.

Not a fan of Season 2 though. I like some things in it such as Hajime and Yun getting more focus and I appreciate the attempt at making the series more serious without losing it's humor. But I just don't like any of the new characters at all, and Christina, the one I thought had potential, is very underused. It just didn't entertain me anywhere near as much as the first season. I also don't know if I'll read the manga either, partially because I didn't like Season 2 much and mostly because for me reading 4koma stuff online {As opposed to reading it in an actual physical volume/book} is a bit of a pain.
