Exit the Gungeon
It was done.
Through grueling effort and numerous glitches in the system, the final obstacle of the Gungeon had been felled. The Dry Spider Thingamajigger exploded into harmless shrapnel, leaving mere scraps of hot brass and hairy legs - and just like that, the battle was over - and the Gungeoneers were back in the van?
No, not quite. Sadly, the Gun That Could Kill the Past did not make an appearance in this campaign, but as the ex-Gungeoneers (with no Gorgun around, sadly) came to in the azure technological void, a faint female voice announced "HOLODECK. NOW. AVAILABLE." The deed was done; the Alternates were free to access and use the technology for themselves, and this time hopefully without an interference from any glitched program.
...then came the booting out of the system; a violent kick right into the storage area. "...talk about an anticlimax..." Maria groused, picking herself up and idly dusting her coat off . "But it looks like the thing is working as it once did." The old Huntress gestured at the Holodeck system, emitting a low, pleasant drone of affirmation.
Umu, On Hercules
"It's a mark of a valiant man to find positives in negative situations, umu." Caster nodded to herself, smiling proudly. "And though Hercules suffered immense pain and guilt both, he regained his godhood and was immortalized on the night sky." She smiled, gesturing towards the ceiling. "He reminds me of myself, umu. I met him, you know? Sadly, his was the Berserker class, and most of these do not lend themselves for conversation."
"I... need a bath after that." Looking down at herself and the various signs of damage on her body as well as the slight forms of chill that settled deeper into her body from prolonged usage of the Gekkaja, Ranma furrowed her brows before sighing at the fact her outfit was once more sporting rips and tears here and there like whenever she got into her tussles.
The worst part was she still didn't get in the anger venting melee hits she wanted too. Had she been in male form it would have been a rather masculine grimace that she could have sported, but in the current cursed equivalent that translated to a somewhat endearing if rather grumpy pout, especially with her arms folded.
Tenko Chabashira - Booted Out, Again
When the freaky thing was finally vanquished, Tenko was about to cheer in triumph before she was unceremoniously thrown out the simulation. The young martial artist got up from the floor with a grunt. She turned towards where Maria was pointing. "Look like it, yeah. I never want to go into a simulation ever again anyway. Excuse me, Miss Mariah, but I'm going to the living room." And with that said, Tenko left the storage room.
Maki Harukawa - Living Room
Once again, Nero's speech didn't have much of an effect on Maki. In fact, the former assassin just stopped herself from scoffing. "Easy to say that from the outside. He may have had a 'happy ending', but that doesn't make any of the sufferings he went through..." The rest of her speech was however interrupted by the sight of another girl entering the room. Said girl was a surprise due to not only the fact that she was also a fellow former Danganronpa 'participant', but most importantly that the last time Maki saw her, she was dead. And so the young edgy girl let out an uncharacteristic outburst of surprise. "Tenko?"
Upon hearing a familiar voice calling out to her, said girl turned to see what she last expected to see: another one that escaped from the Killing Game. "Maki? You were also brought here?" To say the two were close would be a lie. In fact, Tenko did her best to avoid Maki for a short time after the first learned the latter's real talent. But still, seeing a familiar face that wasn't a guy or Angie made the aikido master's reaction much cheerier than the 'child caregiver's'. "Good to see you again. Are the others with you?"
Maki responded almost by reflex. "No..." But then she realized something. If Tenko was brought back from the dead by whatever otherworldly nonsense was happening here, could he be here too? The prospect of seeing a certain astronaut trainee made sure that Maki hadn't calmed down yet
◊. "What about you? Is there anyone else that came with you?"
Tenko, for her part, was disappointed. She hoped that she could be reunited with her other friends, if not Himiko. Still, she was taken aback with Maki's OOC reaction too much to show that disappointment. "And no? Sorry?"
If Tenko was disappointed, Maki was outright saddened by the response. ''So Kaito isn't here after all'. On the bright side, this hit to her moral allowed her to fix her stoic disposition back to normal. She then considered what to actually say to the resurrected victim of Danganronpa before her. 'Do you remember dying' and 'everything you know is a lie' didn't seem like the most tactful things to say, so the survivor opted for the most positive thing she could think of. "You seem well." She didn't have the hang on this 'social interaction' thing yet.
For her part, Tenko was confused by the other girl's emotional state but still glad to see a familiar face. "I am! Thanks for noticing." It doesn't seem like the conversation would advance much without a third party.
Old Crone, Storage
"By all means, dear Ranma. If I may be blunt, most of us could use a refresher. Or something to drink." Maria cleared her throat as she returned to her ornate wheelchair - that's always been there, untouched by any whimsical twist of fate. "And then, perhaps, we can do something about the dissatisfaction painted on your knuckles." The old crone smiled knowingly.
Umu, Living Room
Oh? It seemed as if the Oriental Rose had a fellow from her world. A long-haired Amazon, in fact. Nero cooed softly as she listened to them talk for a moment, figuring that she could spare them some privacy at least. It seemed that Maki wasn't very good at socializing - but perhaps having an emperor friend ("friend" likely being used somewhat haphazardly here) would help in livening things up.
"So, who is this jade-eyed Amazon that you're familiar with, my dear Rose?" She questioned, regarding Tenko curiously as she stood up, shorter than either of them, but with platforms to spare, proud to puff out her chest in her crimson dress.
Maki and Tenko - Living Room
Unfortunately, Maki was less invested in answering Nero's question than the nickname the shorter woman used. Or more precisely, she was invested in protesting in indignation. "And who's your rose, exactly?"
Tenko, meanwhile, was far more positively receptive to a pretty woman's comment on her appearance. She blushed a whole lot and stammered in happy embarrassment. "A-amazon, me? I mean, sure, I'm strong, but I'm not nearly pretty enough to be one. My torso is shaped like a wiener dog and I'd say my eyes are more puke green than jade..." Yeah, she was currently into the self-deprecating mode she always entered when a girl complimented her appearance. "I-I'm Tenko Chabashira, the Ultimate Aikido Master."

Lucina - Infirmary
The princess' ears had perked up slightly as Jack-O' muttered something to herself - sadly, it was somewhat difficult for a taguel to avoid hearing things. A flash of concern and chagrin spread over Lucina's face as she glanced over to see the woman's despondent expression. She opened her mouth to say something... then smiled and gave Jack-O' a light pat on the shoulder.
"Forget what?"
Having reached the infirmary by now, she set her charge down on a bench and went about searching through the drawers and containers for medical supplies. After a moment, she returned to the bench with a box of healing injectors and set about treating Jack-O's ribs.
"Our benefactors have made this all so easy..." She commented, holding up a small sheet of pictogram instructions. "But I do wish our band still had a cleric of our own.'
Hana (Holodeck -> Infirmary)
Once she had finished her drink, and once she noticed that the holodeck had seen some recent arrivals, Hana excused herself from Ragna, and finally decided to move her mech back into the hangar, so it wasn't in everyone's way; once she had done that, she shut it down, and exited to head for the infirmary, having last seen Lucina head that way and wanting to spy on - MEET with her. Yes. That's what she meant.
Slowly poking her head around the corner of the door, Hana tiptoed in, making for one of the beds and just casually sitting down like nothing was wrong, but clearly having a vested interest in what Lucina was doing.
Proud member of the AGOG community.Lucina - Infirmary
Once again, Lucina's ear twitched as she heard someone enter the sick bay, the taguel looking up from her work to see a new face.
"Ah, hello!" She gave the girl a welcoming smile, even as she applied an injector to Jack-O's side. "You're a new recruit, yes? I saw you on the holo-deck, but I didn't get a chance to greet you properly."
"I am Lucina, and this is Jack-O'." She turned to give the new girl a once-over glance, absently flicking one ear back over her shoulder. "Are you hurt? If you can hold on a moment, I'll show you how to use the facilities here."
"Ah, I'll deal with that later. It'll be counterproductive to keep going on like this. Thanks though." Waving off the friendly offer with her own blunt if well meaning answer, the redhead then flexed her hands before languidly stretching. Once that was done with, the martial artist then headed into the bathing area while looking around to make sure no one was about before flitting into the men's portion with a towel and some new clothes.
Sypha, Living Room
When she saw all the other people start to leave the holodeck, she picked up Meridia's stone to let her listen in.
"Oh hey, it looks like the other mission has been completed," Sypha stated to the visitors from Skyrim. "I think we can finally get you all back to Skyrim now, so you should all head back over to the holodeck room again"
Sypha pointed to the room where they had just left from.
Wizard Needs Food BadlyAs the Alternates continued to while away the time on the van after the excursion into virtual reality was still being settled, the view displayed on the outside of the vessel would turn into something one would expect when warping was engaged- elongation of light and color in a tunnel where everything would seem stretched like a rubber band before everything got flung forward.
Coming out of the impromptu warping, the van itself would allow for a view of something gargantuan in the distance, what looked like a large scale but oddly spherical asteroid floating about with detritus floating in a patterned ring due to the great mass' gravitational pull.
Flying towards the thing that loomed up ahead and then circumventing the mass by going about the long way towards the other side so as to not get hit by space rocks, the group would find that there was unexpectedly a station built into the previously unseen side of the asteroid.
The outer layer itself turned out to be some sort of artificial covering with a crack running down the layering that exposed the neon lights of a docking port
◊, with one runway flashing a slowly flickering path into the maw of the mysterious port as if to beckon in the docking vehicle.
Upon landing, it would take a couple more minutes as all sorts of jargon speak rang out from the systems that basically boiled down to 'breathable atmosphere and gravity is engaged so people won't die a horrible death', with the van doors hissing open to reveal the interior. Uniformed crew members were seen scurrying here and there with various supplies and crates, holopad check lists in the hands of the surveyors while hover vehicles puttered about like busy bees to move things where they were needed.
The van itself would be connected to all sorts of wires and machines, with the crew members gently but firmly being told to get off so people could do their business. Stepping into the dock area was a neatly groomed middle aged men that held a charismatic look despite the salt-and-pepper hair he had, dressed in a dark grey commander's uniform that couldn't fully hide the firm musculature underneath. Behind him was a tall secretary that had the generalized attire and hairstyle required, though she was taller than the already big man by a good head.
The crew at hand all stopped their business to flash off a quick salute towards the man with the name tag that helpfully read Clifford Kreyuz, who simply nodded and gave them the unheard signal to be at ease before looking over the people assembled. "You've had a journey that wasn't too long but filled with rather exciting events happened to you over these last few days. On behalf of my employers, I apologize for what you had to endure... and also for what you will have to do from this point on. In any case, I am your new liaison in place of Will and I hope to have if not an amiable working relationship than at least one that is neutral enough so our respective groups can fulfill both our needs through association."
Maki and Tenko - VDF-631
The conversation in the living room was interrupted by the unfamiliar sight of hyperspace. Confused, the two Ultimates looked at the incoming asteroid with awe, Tenko moreso. After freshening up a bit, they both left the van when the doors opened. As expected, Tenko wasn't happy to be greeted by a degenerate male, but she was still too overwhelmed by the sight of the space station to say anything yet and was content with looking around at all that sci-fi stuff.
Unfortunately, Maki was both less prone to wonder and fairly angry at one of the people responsible for suddenly separating from her fellow Killing Game survivors. So she responded to his greetings with a scoff and a glare. "Easy for you to say after you basically abducted us to do your dirty work. If you have any useful informations, give them and get it over with." Tenko would probably have said something about the former assassin's rudeness if she was talking to anyone but a man.

One of the first ones off was Lady, who'd spent the majority of the time after Skyrim sleeping. She was looking around, half in awe of the station, half in deep confusion. They'd usually been given instructions before arriving in the past. Then some new guy stepped forward and introduced himself, and Lady frowned as she looked him over.
"A replacement? And you're meeting us....in person?"
She sounded really confused now.
"We got all kinds of excuses for why we had to talk to Will over a TV screen over the past few days, so I hope you'll understand if I'm a little skeptical of this sudden and miraculous shift in policy."
Somewhere near the back, Clifford might sense a pair of angry, murderous eyes on him. Tira was hanging around in the back, Gloomy currently in control, and no doubt her file had all sorts of giant, red print warning messages on it and such about the likelihood she was happy about this whole arrangement, and a whole other set advising against ever meeting her in person without significant countermeasures in place. All she was doing for now was glaring, however, she wasn't an idiot, even if she was alone with him, after the game shows, she was ready to assume that this guy wouldn't be this stupid and meet them in person without something to counter murder attempts.
Lady, meanwhile, wasn't done. "There any way you can produce proof that you're actually replacing him? Other then your word?"

Fiore - VDF-631 - An Unexpected Arrival
It had been a very confusing day for a certain magus. One moment, she'd been in her family estate strolling along her wheelchair, taking a break from dealing with matters related to succession and getting herself ready to assume of the head of the Forvedge household.
The next, she found herself in an utterly strange scenery. Odd machineries dotted her landscape and people, both mundane and alien, mingled and went on with their daily lives as though nothing of consequence is happening and-
Was that a space vessel casually traversing through the stars?
Those at the dock would see a young girl in a wheelchair being very out-of-place, staring at everything in equal measure of awe, confusion and fear before making a deep breath and taking on a more neutral expression. It doesn't appear she takes notice of the eccentric group yet, though she is detecting a worryingly large amount of mana being concentrated in their general vicinity.
Max, We In Space Again
Admittedly, Maximillian Caxton had some choice words for their chief handler.
The second time this establishment chose to make use of his services, it was by pulling him out of his home universe right before his daughter and her prospective boyfriend. Max didn't want to think how much time passed since then, and how spooked Jeannie must have been. Obviously, duty called, but it picked a terrible time to call.
No matter where you came from, arriving to a space station hidden in a giant asteroid was bound to invite some measure of awe. The HQ was definitely not hurting for money. He stomped out of the van with an angry frown, nearly three meters worth of incensed cyborg cop. "Look here-" Max started, only to be informed that Will was not, in fact, the commanding officer any longer. The cyborg frowned, this time with confusion. Taking a cursory look at the new commander's name plaque, he carried on.
"...what happened to Will, Kreyuz?" He asked, somehow suspecting the answer already. You didn't just get removed from the post like this peacefully.
Maria, Wheelchair Solidarity
How about that. In some worlds, people did take to the stars without losing their minds in the process.
Granted, once the novelty of traversing through space into the heart of a gargantuan space rock wore off, Maria found herself disappointed by the interior of the base. Some parts of it were interesting still, but uniformed peons skulking about and grays of technology quickly soured her on this new future aesthetic. Passing by Tira with an encouraging pat on the shoulder, the old crone localized the odd woman out: a young lass in a wheelchair not unlike hers, looking rather confused about the situation.
"Greetings, from one cripple to another." She raised a hand in a greeting and a smile, most likely raising some internal Magus alarms from her presence herself - but nothing like, say, the blond girl in a red ensemble dramatically marching out of the van right about now. "It seems you arrived just in time to meet your - our - new handlers."
Blond Girl In A Red Ensemble Dramatically Marching Out Of The Van Right About Now
"I expected a red carpet rolled out before us by muscled Nubians given how much we do for your enterprise, umu." Nero huffed as she strolled forward, clad in a fancy attire befitting the heavenly station of her presence
, little decorative crown included. "Now, since our previous 'liaison'..." Nero rolled her eyes slightly at the word. "had no need to summon us to your dusty quarters, that means more than the voice at the speaker changed. If you'd be so kind to elaborate, that would be much appreciated, umu."
Lady raised a valid point too. "Yes, well said. After all, this could very well be a nefarious plot by Rook to lower our guard and stop us with trickery and deceit, could it not?~" She asked innocuously, observing Commander Clifford's reaction.
Fiore - VDF-631 - Still suspicious
On the contrary, while Fiore was surprised by Lady Maria's initial greetings(one who seems to be far more aware of her situation than herself too while we're at it), she's less surprised to sense that this fellow of hers is not at all normal.
In her world, a magus tends to not live to a ripe old age unless they're superbly gifted, possess secrets of their own or expertly deft through the deadly intrigue of Clock Tower politics. In that regard, they commanded respect from others. That being said, the red blonde one that arrives within the group was an entirely different ballpark altogether.
A being made of pure prana, a familiar... and yet, she's far too powerful for one and seems to possess a strong sense of self of her own, not to mention her form entirely resembling that of a human. Could she be one of the fabled Servants that she's heard about in passing?
Nevertheless, she turned her attention back to Maria, having decided to focus on one thing at a time lest she'll be in a never-ending spiral of confusion and gave a cautious greeting to the grandma in return. "Greetings from a fellow disabled too, ma'am. And... handlers?"
Maria could no doubt feel the magus slightly tensing up, with something moving behind the girl's back before being out of sight.
"I don't suppose this is a kidnapping or tricks of sorts? This all seems far too elaborate to be one." Of course, she couldn't discount the possibility of this being a ploy of a rival family either, to negotiate or, worse, take her out. All the same, unless she happens to forget offending a very high-ranking Lord within the Association, she couldn't think of anyone that could conjure Magecraft this grand of a scale.

Hana (Before the Jump)
"Uhh..." Sadly for Hana, her brain had just frozen up on her as she took in the sight of this wonderful, glorious, kawaii woman in front of her. Struggling to come up with something, anything to say, all she managed was "Youlooksocute,I'llseeyoulater, bye!" as Hana abruptly stood and bolted out of the infirmary, face going a deep red as she retreated.
Hana (After Docking)
After having recovered in one of the rooms she could find, where she was definitely NOT hiding from Lucina, Hana happened to look out the window and saw the normally peaceful view suddenly speed up drastically. Eyes widening, Hana sat her butt down on the bed and braced herself...but luckily for her, there was no sudden lurch or feeling of intense movement. Once it had ceased, and she could see a massive port carved into an ASTEROID of all things, Hana's eyes widened.
"Whoa..." Realizing that they were headed for this great station, Hana quickly geared herself and headed out, going to the main area and then being ushered to the dock itself. Upon seeing what she assumed to be the commander, Hana instinctively snapped to attention, her memories of service kicking in.
Tetra
Tetra, meanwhile, was not quite as impressed or respectful. Upon being rudely awakened from her much needed nap and told in no uncertain terms to get off so the cleaners could do their thing, Tetra grouchily marched out of the van, planning to give someone a piece of her mind. Seeing who she assumed was the captain here, she fixed him with an unhappy look...though admittedly, hearing that he had taken over for Will earned him a few points in her book, since now maybe there was a chance they could actually get some things done. Taking out her pistol and polishing it to keep her hands busy, Tetra gave the rest of the crew a once-over, since there were still quite a lot of them she hadn't met yet.
Proud member of the AGOG community.VDF-631 (Lillie) ~ This Seems Familiar
"Pew!" came a sound, akin to a digitized bell ringing, that some of the group present may have found familiar.
Sure enough, it wasn't long until what looked like a blue cloud of cosmic gas, shaped somewhat like a water molecule with a black face consisting simply of two eyes and a mouth wandered onto the scene. Judging by the big open smile on its face and how it kept looking around in wonder, it was rather happy.
"Fellow! Now's not a good time to be wandering off!" cried another voice, this one sounding like it came from a young girl. Sure enough, the girl in question came running after her presumed companion. She looked to be around eleven, and was dressed in a completely white outfit consisting of a sleeveless blouse, a skirt, and a large wide-rimmed hat.
She soon caught up to the cloud and scooped it up in her arms with a pouty expression. Fellow wriggled, letting out another "Pew!" of protest.
"...I'm sorry, but you should go back in the bag. Someone might see you, and...um...." At that moment she finally took notice of her surroundings. For a good couple seconds she looked around in confusion. "...Where are we, anyway...?"
It was not until her green eyes settled on the assembled group nearby that things started to make sense to her. Even so, it took another moment or two for her to see a few people she recognized, as well as the unmistakable van behind all of them. At that, one could see from her expression that everything clicked.
"Oh! We're back with you again!" she said, "I didn't think we'd ever see you again ever since Fellow and I returned home!" Then she looked around again. "...Somehow, this feels just like when we first met you...."
At that point she noticed the officer and his companion, and her expression turned sheepish. "...Oh! I'm sorry, I, we just got here, and, um...."
After a quick apologetic bow she got into line with the rest.
"Pew...." Fellow complained, still being clutched to its companion's chest like it was some kind of plush toy.
VDF-631 (Ozma) ~ What The Heck, Mate
The girl and her gaseous companion were not the only new arrivals. Also present was an older girl, likely somewhere in her late teens, dressed in an elegant emerald green dress. Her long, curly blonde hair was decorated with two large, red poppy flowers on either side of her head, and a narrow golden crown sat atop her head. In her right hand she held a short scepter, tipped with a symbol of a Z inside of an O. On her left hip was a sheath containing a two-handed longsword, which while of ordinary size seemed larger than it really was considering its wielders' rather small and delicate build.
The look on her face was one of serious confusion, and confused Ozma was indeed. One minute she'd been setting out from the Emerald District to meet with the others investigating the recent murders and disappearances around Akihabara. The next, she had found herself here, in a location so highly technological to be downright alien to her, even after spending so much time in the Frontiers.
Fortunately, it seemed like the man whose nametag identified him as "Clifford Kreyuz" had an idea of just what happened and what was going on. As such, she made her way to the front of the assembled group.
"Pardon me, Mr. Kreyuz," she said, her voice formal but what was seemingly her natural Southern-esque accent leaking through, "May I ask where I am?"

Icon by Civvi the Civilian!Van - Pre-Timeskip Wrapup
"Yes, with that other... barrier lifted now, I can see the entirety of the realm," Meridia's voice spoke up from the Beacon at Sypha's question. "I can configure all of Skyrim as needed. They can now shed these temporary vessels and return to their normal lives."
"Come back sometime if you want - n-not that I'm going to miss any of you," Alduin said, rubbing her eyes.
"All things must come to an end, joor. But while this shell of a body may fade, my spirit will live on in Skyrim," Paarthurnax contributed.
"Maybe Skyrim is for... more than just Nords," one of the bear-men said.
"By the Emperor! The Gray Fox!" The giant Imperial guard just stared at Lucina for a couple seconds before vanishing. He had... probably taken a few too many hits to the head.
"Remember, adventurers.... ~TGM." Meridia said these last few words of wisdom before the Beacon, too, turned to dust.
Did any of you watch Avengers: Infinity War? Cause man, there sure was a lot of dust in the van after all of the NPCs vanished into thin air.
Tessa - VDF-631
Tessa spent a lot of time this last week thinking about fried chicken.
It was a real problem.
Anyway, they arrive at... a space station!
"Holy cow, we're in a space station - not just a space ship that got destroyed! An actual, functional space station!" She quickly scurried over into the dock, looking around the area. "I wonder what those wires are for, they look like... no maybe they're... wow so that's how they do that... oh wait but then... oooooooh, right... wow! Oh look they have a... and a... a... ohmygod! And then if I look over - aieeeeee!"
Yep, she tripped again.
Tiki - VDF-631
"Well, I have to say that it looks like we're on the moon itself. But to be honest, I've learned that there are many things that are far beyond my understanding when it comes to all this... technology...." Tiki shook her head and stepped out of the van and into the dock.
"What indeed," she echoed the other's questions to the new man. "First we have this William conjuring us, now you?"
Lucina - Infirmary
The newly arrived girl seemed to struggle for a moment, but before Lucina could say anything more, she blurted out something very fast and fled the room, face going red.
"Good... goodbye?" Lucina blinked in surprise, a faint blush rising in her own cheeks as she processed the last few seconds. "She... must still be in shock, I suppose?" She shared a glance with Jack-O' as she went back to finish treating the other woman, putting the odd encounter from her mind for now.
Lucina - VDF-631
Stepping off the ship and onto the docks, Lucina's eyes were wide as she looked around, a smile spreading across her face. This place reminded her of the cavernous docking chamber on the Invictus - but where that vessel had been silent and dead, this was bustling with life and activity. It was a heartening feeling, to be expected like this, and the taguel's step had a little bit more of a spring as she hurried down the gangplank.
Even so, she still took care not to look back down the length of the chamber. She could practically feel the unending void yawning beyond the docks... Shaking her head, she hurried to meet the welcoming committee, already hearing the tension in some of her team-mates' voices.
"Please, comrades, let's not forget the reason we were recruited." She addressed the group as she caught up, falling into that straight-backed easy stance of hers, between Kreyuz and the others. "With the precarious state of their realms themselves, even our distant benefactors have been in peril at every step."
"With that in mind - It is a pleasure to be aboard, Ser Kreyuz." She continued, turning towards the older man and putting her fist to her heart in a salute. There was a genuine lump in her throat for a moment that she had to swallow - it seemed that they had support now, real tangible support, not just advice and instructions from a far-off voice.
Speaking of that far-off voice, the princess' smile did fade a little as she echoed some of her team-mates' questions.
"I, too, would like to know what has become of Ser Aryl. I would have liked to finally meet him in person."
Tenko and Maki- VDF-631
Upon hearing the others ask about what happened to this Will guy, Tenko decided to back them up. She may not have ever meet who they were talking about, but she personaly tought that suspecting a degenerate male was alwayd the good move."Oh yeah, how can we know you're not lying to us?"
Meanwhile, Lucina's overly optimistic speech did nothing to satisfy Maki. If anything, that amount of blind belief made her even unwilling to cooperate with Kreyuz. "I guess you're right. They may have kidnapped an untold number of people," it was then that the Ultimate noticed Lilie. The sight of the eleven year old made her glare even harder at the liaison. "Including children, separating us from our loved ones for who knows how long. But since they did that to make us fix their mess so they wouldn't have to leave their homes, I guess everything's fine. Assuming that story about gods and reality holes is not just a lie, of course." After the hell that was Danganronpa, some assholes with way too much power sending random people on a multiversal goose chase for fun didn't sound that far-fetched at all to the former assassin.
Maki then turned her head to talk directly towards the bunny-eared knight. "The only reason I'm still here is because I have no choice, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. You want to play buddy-buddy with our captors, fine, but don't try to drag me into it."
Edited by Alecoene on Jan 17th 2020 at 11:46:08 AM
Azura was, perhaps unsurprisingly at this point, in a rather bad mood. Yes, she was quite marveled at the sight of a society capable of space travel, but she was nonetheless incredibly frustrated. Her first reaction upon being told she had to step out of the van after her beauty sleep was interrupted was the spewing of a very colorful series of threats and expletives that could even make grown men cry. Fortunately the time it took her to fully wake up managed to lower her anger levels somewhat, but she was still not feeling particularly enthusiastic about this whole ordeal.
"You want to know how to cultivate a good working relationship?" the songstress asked. "Well, that's quite simple. First issue to discuss: payment. It better be extra generous. Second: I want to see some repairs going. Because rest assured, I'm not setting fooot in that thing again until I can be one hundred percent positive there won't be another abomination popping out from inside and trying to burst through the roof."
By contrast, Elesis seemed to be in a fantastic mood. After falling asleep on the floor near the holodeck, she somehow woke up on her bed, well rested and ready for anything. She took a good while to silently admire the docking station, and then proceeded to greet the evident commander of the operation with a rather casual salute. Most people seemed to be rather aprehensive of the man, however, and it showed both in how they looked and in what they said. They were technically right, but still...
"Well, look at it this way," she intervened. "We're gonna be stuck saving everyone either way, right? So we may as well make the most out of it while we're at it. Just look at how excited Tessa is to be he-"
And then she tripped.
"...I'll get her," the red-haired corsair announced with a sigh before turning briefly to address their new liaison. "In the meantime, some explanations would be nice. Because they're not wrong, y'know?"
She left that for the officer to ponder, and merrily went to pick up her comrade in arms from the floor. Or at least to offer her a hand to help her pick herself off the floor.

Maria, "Define Kidnapping", Station
"In the strictest sense of the world, you have been taken from your previous plane of existence against your will." Maria smiled dryly in response to Fiore's inquiry. "So yes, "kidnapping" is a correct term. Look on the bright side of it however, lass: you get to save the multiverse in the gallant company of" The old crone's eyes pointedly trailed to where Tessa was having an intimate meeting with the floor. "colorful personalities."
The wizened old eyes went back to Fiore with a smile. "Call me Maria, lass. And no, though it may seem improbable even to a learned eye, there are no tricks involved. We are indeed in space, and everyone has their wits about them." She chuckled.
Max, ..., Station Still
"Pew?" Oh they did not.
Sure enough. Max turned to see a familiar blonde girl and her... what were these called, Digimon? "Hey, kiddo. Some timing on your part." He greeted Lillie with a nod and a wave. In the background, Tessa couldn't walk straight even while sober. Maki, meanwhile, was making some insightful observations, likely speaking from experience of someone who went once through such confinement.
"...I was planning to tell the complainers that there's no point grumbling about it, but then you lot" Angry finger point at Kreyuz. "had the sheer gall to just resummon a minor into this mess of a mission. So first you're going to explain Will's absence, Chief, and then you'll explain how that fucking draft system of yours works. If I'm not going to lose patience, then someone else will."
If the HQ monitored the van, they knew there was a lot of someone elses waiting to have their patience lost.
Fiore - Station - Tempting Fate
"... Fiore. Fiore Forvedge, heiress of the Forvedge family." she introduced herself when the kindly grandma gave her name. No reason to hide hers if what she's saying is true. Speaking of...
"As much as I would love to say it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance, do forgive me for taking a moment to process what you just said."
Hailing from a world filled with secrets hidden from public eyes, even she finds it hard to believe everything being said at face value. Taken from her plane of existence? Saving the multiverse? And yet, it doesn't feel like Maria is lying and one look at the group did indeed confirm that they're an... eccentric bunch.
Overhearing some of the group's conversation with the one probably in charge of all this only makes it harder to believe this is all one big elaborate trick.
"I take that I have no choice in the matter." she concluded and sighed before hearing some making protests of their situation. She's not sure if she should feel reassured or more worried that she's not alone in having mixed thoughts about being brought against her will.
"But why me, specifically? Wouldn't there be others in my universe who'll make far better candidates in saving whole realities than a mere magus?" Not to say that she doesn't trust in her own talents when required, but something as monumental as saving entire worlds should clearly require exceptional individuals that can work together in a professional capacity.
... Right?

Van - Tessa
"Gah! Fine! I'll eat the stupid chicken!"
Tessa leaned forwards again and had a devious glint appear in her eyes. Forwards and forwards she came, her lips ever-increasingly approaching Santa's thigh, when dear God, it was a ruse! She wasn't going after the chicken after all. She opened wide and tried to give Santa's hand a playful - yet frightening - nibble.
BonedragonSpider Fight - Gungeon - TikiFlapping her wings and coming around for a second pass, Tiki opened her mouth again. This time the monster had been replaced with - of course - a giant spider. Why was it always spiders? If it wasn't mad dragons, it was spiders!
"RAWR!" A blast of electric energy flew out of her mouth and towards the monstrosity.
