Van

"O-oh... nothing. Cats just make me... nervous a little." Debating on whether or not to come clean or bluff her way out with bravado, the gender fluid martial artist decided on a half-way point if only to not make Tenko too sad. She was a huge softie in general even towards people who literally wanted to kill her sadly. "But it's just the imagery of a cat and not the real thing so I can deal with it. Don't let me ruin your fun, alright?"

Wolf Place

Blinking at the ocean of dogs that was all but swarming the area and wondering what was up with whoever modded the game, 21 tilted her head to the side as she saw wolves barrel towards the group in a sort of mangy tidal wave of sorts, ill intent clearly on their expression.

Though she was an overall nice person most of the time, she'd rather not see her acquaintances get hurt if she was nearby so the biological chimera took in a deep breath before assuming a crouched forward stance with her hands held out like fanged claws with the thumb and index plus middle fingers featuring prominently. The fact that this was a simulation was also something that made the pill much easier to swallow about fighting as well. "WOLF FANG FIST!"

Oddly enough, her aura would then flare out for a moment to visualize what appeared to be a snarling wolf head that growled at the incoming actual but not really real wolves, the telltale howl ringing out rather clearly before disappearing as 21 blurred into motion of flurried motions that claws, gouged, gripped, threw, crushed, ripped, and tore into whatever came into range while standing in front of Franky, fighting wolves with the Wolf Fang Fist in a rather ironic but fitting display of martial prowess.

It was good to go back to basics- especially when you had your planet busting power levels sealed off so raw power wasn't in the works any longer. Instead, technique was what mattered when there was a hard cap to the formerly massive levels of ki one can pull out, the most practical way to make due with what was once an ocean drying up into a piddling puddle.

Having learned about that the hard way back in Val Habar, 21 decided it was high time to do some good old fashioned training and got to work by putting her copycatting ability to good use.Selecting something that wasn't all that draining on her reserves as well allowing her to truly practice close range combat without the defensive buffer of her aura being in place. Overconfidence bred arrogance and laxity after all.

Lancelot - Volskygge

The black knight saw Tiki getting skewered by two great swords, and though worried he kept calm as he saw that the young dragon was still alive and appeared to be more winded rather than on the verge of death. Half the enemies were down, but that still left half to bring down.

"That was brave of you little dragon, now stay back and recover."

And with that Lancelot charged at the now weaponless Draugr, swinging his blade to immediately take care of one of them, cleaving it in half at the waist like a hot knife cutting into butter.

Susan, Wolftime

"...Computer viruses are the topic of the day," Susan said, quietly, trying to gauge this unknown behatted woman's reaction. She expected something like aghast fear. "Have you ever seen a virus in a computer that might talk? Appear physically? Mess with video games?"

A while later, Susan's fears of digital fuckery had been possibly alleviated or only made worse. She floated above the ground as Susans are wont to do, as if hanging by the waist, shivering in the northernly cold. It reminded her of her current residence back home, and how both places aren't built for skeletal giants.

Being able to float was good, though. Meant you didn't have to deal with the incredible herd of dogs that just so happened to exist, probably caused by that virus that may or may nor exist.

Susan reached down to slip a couple of them, some little weenie-shaped ones with floppy ears, a clandestine piece of meat. They seemed happy about it, so Susan was happy.

She looked up, saying "These guys are just adorable! They must beEEAAAAAAAAH!" This was because she only noticed the wolf that was charging at her, followed by a gaggle of other ones!

Bracing against the tide of neandogthals, she felt the bite of the black, mangy wolf scrape against her long arm...but not latch on at all, somehow. She reeled, giving a nail-flicking uppercut to the wolf that almost gutted the poor thing, when two more also lashed at her.

They also scraped with their teeth, but didn't latch on at all. So...Susan did what Susan did best, and that was just avoid the problem.

Now about 15 feet in the air, she could look down and see 21 absolutely going ham on the canids like she was anything besides a scientist.

"Keep going, you're doing fine!" Emotional support was what she felt like she could offer here.

Santa, Big Problems in the Keep

"And what has my time here given me? Little of importance," she bit back at Nero. "I thought a game was supposed to be played according to its rules. What is it now, if the players must fight against the damned ball?"

Her Master's sudden, and untainted concern for her being was...refreshing.

"...My near-death in the desert was a fault of my own." Santa grunted, straining as Tessa supported her tiny body but letting her do it all the same. "I just wasted my own energy, in...contention with my son. His own Excalibur did not harm me..."

Her narrowed eyes moved over to the hall the elf had walked towards, and a note of awe crept into her voice. "But, that attack! Something so powerful, contained in a blast so simple and unrefined...with the strength of a false king of heroes, but none of the pompousness, even...!"

Arturia had a firm feeling that it was a pulled punch, and that made her concerned.

She looked over at Nero, and spat out "Go on, then. If your master is unfit, heal me, and we can be done with my whining."

Prime Meridia - Fort Hraggstad

In case anyone had forgotten this was a game, they were subjected to another loading screen as Lucina opened the door and they entered the Fort.

Leveling up grants a bonus to your choice of Health, Magicka, or Stamina. Choosing Stamina also increases your carrying capacity.

The inside of Fort Hraggstad was like that of a castle's (reference image). Once it had probably looked phenomenal, its corridors decorated with majestic tapestries and its corridors furnished exquisitely. Now, it was just dirty. Everything was dirty - walls, floors, ceilings, everywhere. The ceilings were a comfortable fifteen feet high, and the hallways were a few yards wide, giving them plenty of room for maneuvering around the random wooden debris scattered around the place, or if any fighting broke out.

"STOP RIGHT THERE, CRIMINAL SCUM!"

There was a loud, booming male voice that shouted from below, accompanied by the loud THUMP THUMP THUMP of flesh hitting stone.

"Nobody breaks the law on my watch! I'm confiscating your stolen goods. Now pay with your blood!"

THUD

A bandit flew at them from a set of stairs leading down.

Literally.

His dead, naked body smacked into the wall, his simple iron longsword clattering to the ground right next to him.

From the staircase, a helmet appeared, then a head, and soon enough a man in steel armor appeared, standing in front of the Alternates and looking down at them.

Very down at them.

The man was gigantic, and despite the ceiling being a good fifteen feet from the ground, he still had to stoop somewhat just to fit into the room.

He turned his gaze towards the Alternates, staring right at them.

"Hail, good citizen! How can I be of service?"

Jack-O', Volskygge

Watching Tiki being stabbed from both ends of her torso raised the temptation in Jack to yell something like 'oh no, not again', but she held that in on account of it being a deliberate gamble on Tiki's end. She could plausibly try such a disarming herself, but she didn't want to steal Tiki's thunder.

As Sir Lancelot took care of one of the now weaponless Draugr, Jack-O' allowed Lantern to detach from her ankle, reeling her leg back and giving it her hardest soccer kick. The metal ball was sent careening into the other disarmed Draugr's skull and putting it out of commission.

Jack-O' recovered and flashed Tiki and Lancelot a thumbs up, none the wiser to the next Draugr creeping up behind her and raising its weapon...

... or so it seemed at first. Jack-O's arm was already raised in performing her thumbs-up, so it was already in prime position for her to elbow the Draugr in the nose. The undead warrior reeled back in what was presumably a hitstun animation, but was unable to regain its bearings before Jack wrapped both of her arms around its head-

"Elysion Driver!"

-and leaped forward, slamming the Draugr's face into a non-existent wrestling mat.

Just like that, that was two more Lesser Draugr down.

Ragna, Fort Hraggstad

Ragna silently nodded her head to Lucina, as if to say 'this person get is'. But with that bit of trivia now behind them, the group began to move in, Ragna staying close behind Lucina as they approached.

The insides of the dilapidated stronghold made for a tense atmosphere, one that threatened images of hauntings in Ragna's head. Brr.

Thankfully, none of that was to be found, as they instead ran into one dead bandit and a giant in armor.

Ragna's thoughts then were something akin to 'wow... that is one big-ass dude'.

"Hey there. We... well we heard there was a bandit problem. Looks like you took care of that."

Dizzy, The Van's Living Room

There was irreverence, no signs of fear amongst any of them. This certainly wasn't what Dizzy was used to, it was almost refreshing. The bug still touched a nerve, however, and she would rather have blasted him to kingdom come than participate in any mission he wanted her involvement in.

But...

"I'm not participating in any sort of merrymaking."

... she was just too tired to bother.

So the humans didn't know who she was. Good, it was better that they didn't. A few humans began introducing themselves to her, and as much as she would've loved to tear their jaws open in response, there were other things she would've rather thought about. Dizzy ignored the greetings sent her way and retired to a corner of the living room, one without any of the constructs the humans called 'furniture'.

There was the thought of finding a way out of this mess, but it was forfeited in favor of her desire to rest her weary mind.

"If you don't mind, I'll be sitting here for a while. I'll destroy you all later."

Not even the need to appear threatening to humans was considered.

She sat down in her corner, her wings flattening themselves over her back to cushion her. She buried her face in her knees, wishing to hide it from the peons before her.

Fort Hragstad

"If you're here to deal with this criminal scum, then you're a welcome sight," the giant man replied to Ragna, starting to smile. "These bandits made the mistake of interfering with the Legion! But by the Emperor, I will hunt them down to the last man!"

He paused, and then looked rather sheepish.

"But..." he said with an embarrassed tone. "Some of them have hidden in rooms, out of my reach. Like rats!"

Volskygge

"Ewww!" Alduin shouted. One of the dead Draugr's dismembered body parts had slapped her in the face as it flew away. It didn't leave a mark, or even a stain, but that didn't stop her from flailing wildly at her face all the same. "Eww! Get it off! AHHH!"

She flailed around so much she bumped into the lead Draugr, falling on her butt.

"Awww...." she pouted, clenching her fists.

"FEIM... ZII... GRON!" she let out a tremendous roar, one that shook the very Earth around them with sheer power. Whatever sort of ancient, incomprehensible power she had just unleashed would -

Oh, she had just made herself a ghost. She now had an ethereal look to herself, people being able to look 'through' her as if looking through a somewhat foggy pane of glass, while an aura of magical energy pulsated around her.

"Haha, stupid Draugr, neeeeee!" Alduin taunted the draugr, sticking out her tongue at it as it passed through her without even touching her.

Wolfskull Cave (Outside)

Between all of their actions, a dozen of the wolves had been dispatched in mere moments. But as the first dozen went off to wolf hell, something started to become apparent.

Some of wolves looked a little different from the rest - actually, all of them looked slightly different. While they were practically identical in every regard, when they were up close it was clear that each wolf that came was slightly bigger than the one who had preceded it. Likewise, their teeth were slightly larger and sharper as the line of wolves charged. Between two similar wolves it would be hard to tell the difference, but it became much more obvious when comparing wolves across the spectrum. The last few wolves in the pack of fifty practically dwarfed the smallest ones, standing a good head - or wolf-head, more accurately - above their kin.

While the majority of the wolf pack continued to charge, five of the wolves... stopped. They looked at the Alternates and then looked like they were thinking. The rearmost, looking up at Susan, began barking something at the lesser wolves who were rushing near him.

In the blink of an eye, several of the wolves had piled up together like a staircase, and the largest wolf took a running leap off of the top of the pile of wolves, launching himself at Susan with his jaws and claws snapping madly.

Another one of the alpha wolves barked something else at another company of wolves. The wolves attacking 21 continued their assault, only now they had an odd quirk to their attacks. The wolves no longer jumped at her alone. Instead, they jumped in pairs, with one wolf practically on top of its partner. The bottom wolves didn't seem to be exhibiting any different behavior at first. They were still doing all they could to throw themselves at 21, leaping high enough to come down at her with their teeth gnashing and their paws lashing out.

But now instead of doing so wildly, madly, they were remarkably more coordinated, attempting to grapple her limbs away with their dying breaths and twist with all their might to shove their partner at the scientist. The top wolves, unharmed from conventional blows due to the brave sacrifice of their partners, tried to use these opportunities to attack her.

Nothing's changed btw, the wolves are still free kills, figure there's around ~35 now.

Tessa - Understone Keep

"H-healing?" Tessa stammered. "Umm, if you need more energy we could go back to... um..."

She held her hands out in front of her nervously, tapping her fingertips together.

"Um... the inn...."

Tiki - Volskygge

"Little?" Tiki said with half a breath, standing up with her axe for support.

Fran - Wolfskull Cave (Pretend this happened before the above)

"Uuuu...." Fran growled in confusion at all the charging wolves. Then her eyes widened, and she looked down worryingly at the poodle she had been carrying. The poodle that she had brought with her from the safety of the city. What folly! Her own careless actions had put the poodle into this dangerous situation, when if she hadn't ever met the creature it would be safely back in Solutide. It was up to her to protect it. Cradling the creature protectively and hunching over it, she turned her back to the flood of wolves so that all they could do was hit her, not the dog.

She was a servant, a powerful magical construct that was far beyond the capabilities of a mere wolf to harm, it was unlikely that they -

"Uuuuu!" she yelped. In her HUD, her health had gone down. Not by much, only a twentieth, but... there were a lot more than twenty dogs. And these wolves could attack twice, given how her health was now down by a tenth thanks to the wolf swiping her a second time.

She didn't want to find out what happened if it hit zero.

"Uuuuuuuu," she snarled, backhanding the wolf away and turning around to face the horde. She kept the poodle cradled in her right hand, but reached out with her left hand and manifested her tremendous mace in her grip.

"UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!" she screeched madly, slamming the head of the mace into the nearest dog, its body flying back so powerfully that it collided with another wolf and killed it too.

Tenko Chabashira - Van, Worshop

Oh no. She did it again! Even after she told Liz to not upset Ranma, Tenko made the poor, adorable redhead uncomfortable like yesterday. The Ultimate Aikido Master gasped in horror at the wrong she just commited. She needed to repair that mistake right now!

She suddenly got out of Liz's embrace, whispering a quick "sorry" to the dragonic idol. She then quickly removed the jacket that was unnerving the poor girl and put in a bundle on the floor. She then talked to Ranma, sweating heavily and putting her hand toward her fellow martial artist as if she was afraid that the Saotome heir would shatter like a fragile vase at any minute. "I'm so, so sorry, Ranma. I didn't think about how you would feel at all, I just acted selfishly like some rude boy. I have to make it up to you! Tell me, what would really want me to do? And do any other things make you uncomfortable? I don't want your feelings to get hurt again by my rudeness." She was acting panicky to the point that small tears of worry were beggining to appear in the lower corner of her eyes. She had to do something to redeem herself or she would feel awful all day.

Lady (Keep)-Problem solving

Lady was beginning to question if anything in this game worked properly. She assumed this guard wasen't supposed to be 15 feet tall. He explained the issue, which made sense, given his current status.

"We'd be happy to help you out and root these bandits out." Lady said, nodding. Never a bad idea to make friends with the local authorities, helped avoid all manner of potential issues. She gave a quick glance backward to Gwen.

"I have to ask, exactly how common is it for things like.....this to happen?"

Understone Keep

The Jarl turned to face the servant as she asked him a question.

"Alas, I know not. All we know is that last week, he suddenly showed up at his usual post with that book in hand, and ever since, he has become more and more insufferable. Whatever magics that book has, it is unknown to us. Even our court mage has never seen something like it. But whatever it is, it has granted him power unlike any other."

"3 days past, an assassin attempted to murder him with a dagger to the throat. But he just pulled it back out, got up, and shoved the blade clean into the assassin's heart. We must find a way to stop him, aye, but an attack is out of the question."

"What I can tell you, is that none have seen the elf without that book on his person since he has acquired it, not even when he is sleeping. I suspect the key to stopping him is to separate him from that book. I suspect outright theft is out of the question, as he is now, he will likely notice any attempt to pickpocket him. The only way to do it, then, is to find a way to trick him into giving it up willingly. But that is as far as I know, as for how, that I could not say."

Elizabeth, Van

"Nonsense, you're adorable in it, little kitten." Elizabeth chuckled, feeling her pleased as the hug was returned by the cute girl; Her tail lashing about in excitment as she almost vibrated in place. "And it definitely wouldn't suit me. I'm a dragon, after all."

Tenko's focus on Ranma caught the idol's attention, relaxing her affectionate grip on the girl as she glanced over at the redhead curiously. Noticing that sure enough, she looked a little on edge about something. It turned out that the girl was so scared of cats, that even something like that hooded jumper was enough to put her on edge. And yet, that wasn't the strangest or most worrying part of the unfolding events.

Liz glanced down curiously as the dark-haired girl in her grip pulled away, her face twisted up in what could only be described and fear and horror. She looked on the verge of crying or breaking down as she edged towards the other girl like she was a flighty bird about to flee. Stepping forward, the woman put her hand on Tenko's shoulder. "While I'm sure Ranma is grateful for your concern, I'm sure she doesn't want you bending over backwards over this. Right?"

Umu, Understone Keep

"Oh Maestro, nothing of the sort." She waved off Magilou's suspicious list of ingredients with a laugh. "Given that we're just a little ill-prepared at a time, I'm afraid it will simply be a helping of prana with a little dash of proper taste." Once that vague description of her potion was presented, Caster got to work. In ordinary conditions, she'd prepare a potion worth more than a thousand words, a true testament of her raw potential.

But since they were inside of a simulation, she had to improvise ever so slightly. One hearty detraction from her Magick bar - and a minuscule from Magilou's - later, a potion of a rosy smell was in Caster's hand, wrapped in a tasteful red ribbon and glowing a faint red, like their health bars. "Umu! For a half-baked product, you'll find this quite a pleasing experience." It seemed Nero took pride even out of her half-baked efforts. After all, if they were an Emperor's, they could only be great even if they were not at full capability. "Drink, my darling Christian Saint. Let the fruits of my love strengthen you~ Do help her out, Dove." Here she winked at Tessa.

{What we must understand is that this world is small, so much smaller than the reality we live in, and in more ways than one.} She cautioned Magilou through their mental link. {But that does give me an idea.} Jarl's recount of the situation confirmed that ordinary methods were off the table. "Gather 'round, my merry companions. I've some semblance of a plan, as befits an emperor. Umu."

Cell, Van

"A great hand from the sky brought me here." Cell grumbled at Neptuneman's boneheaded question. "Not that I particularly mind, but I too have places to be." Here the bioandroid turned his attention back to Meta Knight. "You said something about a Nightmare, well, I've got Saiyans to deal with."

Dizzy was being difficult. Cell rolled his eyes before grabbing a pillow off the couch and tossing it over to the brooding Gear with a lackdaisical lob. "Here, you drama queen. At least get yourself comfortable and not sit around in a corner like a savage."

"I think 'normal' left us about two loading screen back," Carmilla snidely answered Lady and pointed her thumb back towards the door they entered in from.

Kawakaze - End of the Match, now Workshop

Coming to much the same conclusion that meta knight did, and having very little willingness to push conversation in the first place Kawakaze wandered off after she had seen it end... and decided to head to the workshop to continue the work of getting her torpedo tubes replaced with rockets so that she was able to engage things ashore.

Though when she approached the workshop she was quick to figure out that it was already occupied, so once again she hung out by the door for a few minutes, before she shook her head. This van was full of people and if she kept letting the occupancy status of a room deter her from entering and or using it, she was never really going to get any where around here.

Sooo, she entered the room and gave a little wave to its occupants, she wasn't sure why... normaly she wasn't much for niceties, but she guessed if she was going to try and make do around here she should at least try.... she wasn't able to manage on her own alone.

Gwen - What In Oblivion Is That?; Inside Fort Hraggstad

Gwen grinned at Ragna and Lucina as they understood the concept from context clues alone, which may have been lost in the loading screen.

The subsequent appearance of a giant Oblivion guard put away any attempts to congratulate them on the deduction.

"Nope!" Gwen answered Lady's question cheerfully. "This is all the result of someone screwing with the game files. Especially since that guy is dressed in armour from the last game, Oblivion, which was set over two hundred years before this one."

Looking up at the Giant Guard (she needed to give him a better name), she sent him a mock salute and pulled her pistols out.

"Lead the way, White Goliath! Oh, and if you see a blonde Nord with a shock hammer, leave him to us, okay?"

Magilou- Understone Keep

With her Ward's description making even less sense than her's, Magilou stared at the smidge amount of mana she lost. Ah, so that's how that works.

("Right. Whenever you want it to or not, illusions don't last forever. There's always an end to them.")

With that bit of melencohly out of the way eventually, she joined the huttle.

"I mean, the only thing I can think of immediately is saying his library book's overdue, so I'm all ears."

Hat Woman- Wolfskull Cave

The girl tilted her head, putting a finger on her chin to respond to the Goddess. "I've seen viruses that mess with data and damage the computer... though nothing as elaborate as that. Maybe it's not a virus at, but that A.I. we were sent to stop? Of course, this could also just be how viruses work in VR." To be fair, a lot of the books she read involving a cyber world had that for viruses, so it wouldn't be too out of place.

This "Rook" must really love dogs, doesn't she? Maybe they could use one as bait.

They crawled around her feet, which is cute looking at it. Trying to move in it, however, was another matter. (Un)Thankfully, this ended when wolves came after them.

"This shouldn't be hard." She said, taking out her umbrella and changing her bonnet into a cap with what appeared to be a watch and a visor on top of it. And then... she stood there.

"... Oh bugger." She exclaimed. Whatever she was trying to do, it didn't work as the wolf charged at her. Acting on impluse, she raised her umbrella to block the wolf's bite, pushing it back before bonking it on the head. Shen then switched to what appeared to be a witch's hat, and conjured and shook a flask as the wolf got back up and charged again. She threw the flask, and it exploded on the wolf downing it.

By this time, 21 had certainly downed more than one wolf. It was... kinda impressive. Reminded her of a moment in her childhood, actually... wait, now's not the time to be setimental! They're making a staircase!

That's a thing wolves do now apparently. The diary entry tonight was going to be interesting.

"I don't know about you all, but there are a lot of wolves here!" She exclaimed as she threw some Flasks into more groups of them. Her mind was racing to figure out what was going on.

Meta Knight — Van

Meta Knight folded his arms as Cell turned away. The green insect man was probably a monster, and he had a poor attitude just like most of his kind. Not surprising. Hopefully they wouldn't come to blows at any point down the line. Meta Knight looked to face Neptuneman, the unfortunate victim of Cell's sarcasm.

"I don't know who—or what, brought me here. Or how I got here. If this is the best method one can come up for saving the universe..."

Meta Knight fell silent, just standing there quietly. His eyes subtly shifted, looking around the van.

Sea of Wolves
'

Oh dear, this wasn't good. The snarling pack seemed to get progressively more wicked and wild as the successive waves came about, even coming up with group tactics and strategic acumen that displayed their cunning CPU. Whirling in a circle to fling away some recalcitrant opportunists after getting her health chipped away due to the more sneaky actions of her opponents aiming for gaps in movement to suddenly strike, the bespectacled scientist frowned as she saw her group getting bogged down by more cautious foes.

This wouldn't do, not at all. Frowning ever so slightly before straightening out of the posture of Yamcha's self-taught technique, 21 then decided it was time to stop fighting as a martial artist and time to go about it as an intellectual. "You all should probably close your eyes for a few seconds since it might get a bit bright."

Hovering in front of the sun, 21 then used her aura to spike her hair outwards so that her smooth forehead was shown while the lens on her glasses got hidden by the glare of the reflected sun that she was floating underneath that made her overall countenance shift from nice and polite to cold and calculating rather quickly as she stared down at the terrain of fur and frost below her.

"Haaaaaaaaaaaa..." Powering up so that her aura came into the visible spectrum for a short while, 21 then splayed her fingers out towards her temple in an eccentric posture. "Solar Flare x100." And then it was like a second sun bloomed into being, shining harsh rays of light outwardly with the intensity of a military grade flash bang but lasting for much longer than the single moment that such devices were known for.

Van

"Y-yeah, what she said." Giving Elizabeth a grateful look as she all but waved her hand back and forth in an attempt to get Tenko out of her dogeza pose, the martial artist looked even more uncomfortable than before due to not knowing how to react with someone with such a wide filter as Tenko (much like most people she knew in Nerima). "You didn't know and it's not an actual cat so you're alright, okay?" Inwardly the redhead wondered what it was about her that all the crazies were funneled towards her as though she was a chaos magnet.

Fort Hraggstad - Prime Meridia

"You have my thanks, adventurers. With your help we'll be rid of this menace quickly," the giant guard said, leading the way back down the stairs. He walked down a long hallway and then came to a stop in front of an open doorway. It was a large doorway by human standards, but definitely not big enough for the guard to enter.

"The criminals are located inside," he said, pointing a massive finger at the door.

Someone brave enough to look inside could see that it was a large square room that was roughly forty feet per side, the doorway being the only apparent way in or out of the room. Inside of the room were five armored men.

Five armored bear men.

"Skyrim belongs to the Nords!" one of the bears shouted.

"Get out of here, Imperial bastard!" another of the bears added.

They all growled and looked at the door - while maintaining a healthy distance of at least a dozen feet from the doorway. While they were bulky and tall like bears, they at least seemed to speak like men.

"You are wanted for the crimes of banditry and murder, your lives are forfeit!" the guard shouted into the room with his booming voice.

"Banditry? We only fight off an invading army! If you don't want to taste our steel, you can get out of Skyrim, milk-drinker!" one of the bears shouted back, growling.

Fran - Wolfskull Cave

"Uuuuuu!" Fran shouted, raising her mace up high.

And then putting her eyes in the crook of her arm.

She used her other hand to cover the poodle's eyes.

Giving it a moment for 21's Solar Flare to burn people's eyes out, she white-knuckled the grip on her Bridal Chest. The head crackled with electricity, and Fran gritted her teeth as her eyes bored a hole into the pack of wolves.

"UUUUUUU!" she slammed the head into the center of a nearby wolf, tossing its corpse up, and then came in with another swing at a the next-closest one, clobbering it in the head. This was gonna be messy.

Neptuneman - Van

The winged girl just abruptly says that she's not interested in merrymaking. How rude! With that attitude, no one will be friends with you. And you know what Neptuneman thinks of people who don't make friends with others. They're absolute garbage. True strength comes from helping others and having others help you in return.

And then she said she'll destroy them later or something like that. So, she's a Devil Chojin, huh? She certainly has that attitude down. All Devil Chojin are known to be villainous in Neptuneman's opinion. Even if Buffaloman and Asuraman have reformed, there's a chance of them slipping back into their old ways. Neptuneman can feel that in his bones.

“That's rude, sister... Are you sure you don't want to introduce yourself?”

The insect-like man sarcastically said that a magical hand brought him here. He's mocking Neptuneman, isn't he? To add to this, the insect-like man said that he's got better things to do and hands a pillow to the brat. Neptuneman doubts that the insect man knows what he's talking about. Other than fighting in the ring, Neptuneman feels that talking things out is the best way to pass time in his opinion.

“And where do you have to go? You're stuck here with us, brother.”

The masked man doesn't know how he got here or who brought him here. For some reason, he trailed off before his eyes looked around the van. Is he doubting the capability of those in the van.

“Something wrong, man?

Lucina - Fort Hraggstad

Lucina was quite profoundly glad that the enormous guardsman was on their side. Never counted among the tallest, even in this group, she felt decidedly undersized beside his steel-plated form.

Sadly, it seemed that the denizens of this fort followed a theme of size, as the bandits they were after were all, to a man, bears. Lucina's ears pinned back against her head as she carefully pushed the door open and jumped aside, taking in the situation with a glance. The bandits were safe from the guard so long as they hung back, but they didn't seem confident of their chances against him in an assault. Frowning, she kept her sword drawn, but lowered, and stuck her head around the door frame again.

"Heed me, uh... bears! There is only one way out of that room, and it is through us. Lay down your arms and surrender, and no-one else need die today." She turned to glance up at the giant guard, lowering her voice slightly. "If they come quietly, you will take them into custody unharmed, yes?"

Tenko Chabashira - Van

Ranma was perfect. Of course, Tenko already knew that but the understanding and kindness the redhead just showed only made that fact even more apparent. And now that Liz said it, it is true that the aikido practitioner's outburst may have possibly make the situation even more awkward. She dried her tears and faked a cough to compose herself. "Okay, okay, I admit that I may have overreacted a bit."

But even if the pigtailed girl and Liz didn't hold the Ultimate's goof against her, it simply couldn't be ignored. She then put her right arm on Ranma's shoulder and looked right in Ranma's eyes with a serious look. "But I still insist. It's my duty as a master of Neo-Aikido to keep innocent girls happy. Even if it's a small slight, I have to try my best I can to repair and overcome it." She then gave a smile that was meant to be comforting and encouraging. "So come on. Tell me what you would really like, and I'll do all I can to give it to you. Because what I want is to make you happy."

Santa, Prankstone Keep

"I do not need energy." Santa could tell that this was, for the first time in their work as Master and Servant, an earnest proposition that was fueled by care and not more nefarious things. Such was reflected in her voice: tired, not hostile.

The Emperor's choice of wording was suspect in her mind, but at least Nero was (mostly) an honest person. After a little apprehension, she accepted that potion thing. "...I'd rather take your half-baked love than your raw. Thank you."

Just like that, the little red line in the corner of her vision went right back up to the 95% mark, and she could feel the vigor coming back to her limbs! Santa still looked like she had been struck by lightning, but now she was back in the game. While never having left it.

The topic shifted from selfishly taking the spotlight, back to the guy who almost killed her. Arturia could think clearly.

"...A trade is the first idea that comes to mind," Santa said, "but there's nothing I could think of that some cretin would pawn over for godhood. What do we have, even, beyond the shirts on our backs?"

Tippy, tappy, toppy on the chin. Thinky thinkity think...

"...Perhaps it's not what we have to give, but a service we can perform. Tell me this about the game we play: can its actors leave the confines of this room?"

Susan, Getting Eaten By Wolves

"...I mean, it could be that..."

Far from encouraging Susan, she seemed underwhelmed by Hat Lady's response. Perhaps it was because it would mean she was wrong, but it isn't our place to judge that.

"Well, you just keep on the watch for stuff that'll tell us which one it is, then."

Was 21 getting her words of encouragement? Did Susan not notice that literal pile of wolves forming up to her side until it was too late? We know what we hope the answers for these to be, but we can't tell you for sure.

Taking a faceful of proto-dog, Susan struggled to wildly claw at the hound and also keep airborne at the same time. It kept nibbling at her, not tearing her apart like she knew it should and it almost didn't stop when its sides were torn off.

It fell back to the Earth with a dying yelp that covered up the words that 21 spoke.

"...I'm sorry, could you repeat that?"

"Solar Flare x100."

"Oh, okay—"

And the Susan was very well blinded.

To keep things brief here, in her panicked grasping at her eyeballs, she created one of those meat geysers that she's famous for off...somewhere in the distance. Hopefully somewhere the dogs can smell.

Meta Knight - Van

Meta Knight took a little bit to make a proper response to Neptuneman.

"Nothing's wrong. Not right now, at least. I've just been thinking... This isn't the first time I've joined the fight to save the universe. I don't know how it's going to go this time."

Hat Woman- Wolfskull Cave

"Will do! I'm sure we'll end up causing enough of a ruckus."

Does this qualify as a ruckus? That's a good question.

"Sure, but why do I need to cov-crickey!" Even with both her eyes closed and arm covering them, that light was still peckin' bright! A bit of time to readjust, though, lead to an opening to bonk another wolf on the head. Then she got hungry all of a sudden. She could really go for some bacon, steak... bacon steaks...

A quick glance around lead to her discovery of the meat gusher. That's an... odd feature for this land to have.

Umu, Logic Bomb Initiated, Jokestone Keep

"Not that I know of, barring a miracle of technology." Unfortunately, Nero's grasp on technology was nowhere near as good as she believed it to be, but generally speaking, pulling a puzzle piece out of a puzzle and putting it somewhere else didn't make it something else. "And I think we must remind Mr. Elf of that fact." Caster smiled, rubbing her chin like an evil genius ready to unleash nefarious schemes upon the unsuspecting populous, backed up by a grand evil speech to end all evil speeches.

"Think about it. He might be a god of this universe now, but all we need to do is to rewrite the machine's instructions. Poof goes Ondolemar the Great, umu. And even if we can't" Nero supposed they - and other Alternates - couldn't. "all it takes is taking a hammer to the machine to keep him locked in oblivion, for all eternity." Hum of contentment at an explanation well-done. "So all that is left is to make him aware of that."

Cell, Van Main Room

"Tell me something I don't know, big guy." Of course he was stuck here. Cell didn't need to be reminded of the fact. "Either way, I'm feeling hungry for a spar." It would likely be Neptuneman, but the bio-android wasn't picky. It's been a while since he actually got his hands on someone. Couldn't get rusty. "One of you gents feels like picking a fight?" Or perhaps the drama que-probably not, but Cell could dream.

Maria, Back To The Real, Van

Due to some unforseen glitches, the old crone - no longer looking like she was at her peak and back in her fancy wheelchair - blinked before sighing with mild disapproval. Well, it wasn't like there was much of a change. Maria has long learned how to love herself even at the twilight of her ability - else her vigil at Hunter's Dream would be naught but misery. Slowly, she rolled her neck and looked over to where Ranma and Tenko were having a scene, together with another girl she didn't recognize.

"Good morrow." She greeted the three with a smile, wheeling over with a mildly amused look. "What's this I'm stumbling into?" Spotting a familiar petrol-chugging shipgirl, she waved her over. "Come over, come over. How had your virtual reality stay been?"

A Majin Among Wolves

"Oh dear, I'm so very sorry!" Feeling rather guilty at the fact that her warning wasn't good enough and had seared the nice Aztec cannibal goddess who was flailing around to cause gore geysers erupting up and about like some sort of demented reverse meat pinata spillage, the kindly Android 21 descended from up high with just enough ki to compress the air under her feet.

Doing so ensured that upon landing that a large and invisible 'cushion' would bloom out before erupting into a forceful shockwave to blast the mangy mutts up and about even as pink energy sparked about her fingers like tendrils. And then the built up sparks were unleashed like some sort of bubblegum pink Force Lightning to hit the wolves clumped about in front of her and Susan who she attempted to protect by putting herself before the stumbling woman.

Anything unlucky to be hit by the garishly bright attack would then surprisingly get transmuted into the gingerbread equivalent versions of themselves for a later treat. Given that everything was fake, indulging in a bit of a pick me up shouldn't be too bad... right? The magical equivalent of Coke Zero even, just empty shell of a product that was void of anything good. Still, sometimes one had to go through the motions and trick their stomach with filler.

Van

"Uhhh..." Somewhat thrown for another loop at the fact that Tenko seemed to be going the way of the Kuno and insisting upon some sort of overblown self-honor to recompense for the small slight, the martial artist gave silent thanks that the girl was a lot more personable as long as she didn't splash herself with hot water. "Er... I like... ice cream? Especially sundaes or parfaits... but I couldn't really enjoy it too much back where I came from for... reasons."

Best left unsaid was the fact that Ranma could only really eat the frozen dairy treats in her female form due to the fact that it had a predominantly 'girly' denomination back in 1980's Japan and that indulging in it would result in a slight against masculinity- especially in the madhouse that was Nerima. "...It's not too girly sounding, right?" Twiddling her fingers together, Ranma faintly wondered if it was as bad as she thought she sounded.
