Neriel, Theatre Square

While the mage was busy holding an internal debate on whether it was a good idea to point out that the shem they found the "wallets" on did not seem like a thief, a man who seemed to command some respect from the locals stepped up and did it, which caused one of the strangers to point out the true thief, who was currently located up high on one of the buildings. Not only that, but she made it apparent that they were not a cohesive group at all.
Figuring that attention was not focused on her at the moment, Neriel moved around so she was closer to the building the thief was perched on, then pointed Spellfury.

Claw, Not Convinced, Actor Alleyway

"He didn't seem too interested." Claw replied dryly as he looked back at the scene. She was right. He wasn't much of an actor, but if people really believed he was just a weirdo in a catsuit, perhaps something could be found even for him.

Of course, that would mean debasing himself by a significant margin, but as far as he knew they were really hurting for money. "...alright, let's bite that bait. Lead the way, Miss Gaige." He finally said with a hint of resignation in his voice.

Baron, Oh No You Don't, Theater Square

Baron was about to stop The Kid from getting involved before somebody made his way onto the scene. Somebody else. Apparently not a yakuza despite dressing up as one, he commanded respect from just about everyone and easily turned their flimsy ruse up on its head. Motherfucker.

Well, the cat was out of the bag. In hindsight, this would end up horribly and they should have just stuck to the original plan that was the Tower Troupe. The magnificent opulence was about to try and make something up before Sabrina spilled all the beans. That was a bit much.

"Bitch, dun act like ya weren't in on dis fuckin' stunt too!" He replied to her rant with a scoff before turning to this motherfucking concerned citizen. "Fuck's sake, we shouldn't be going through dat in da first place! We've got ourselves a troupe, am I right? But no, we got muddafuckin' greedy there."

"Is like Miss Wash-Her-Hands said though." He folded his arms in return. "We strapped for cash, dig, Mr. Chairman? We dun fucked up, true, so I guess ya ain't lettin' us go with a warnin', but I can promise ya dat ya won't see us ever again once we're done with da money hunt."

Rooftop - Yang

"Interest free!" Yang shouted, pausing her attacks so she could have a real conversation. "Sign me up! What sort of test do you need? Is it like your buddy over there with his gun? How many bullets do you need me to punch for ten million yen?"

Matsuya - Lusamine

"I'll just have a cup of tea, thank you," Lusamine said to the waiter and/or waitress before looking back to the conversation.

"Well," she added with her ever-present smile. "That shouldn't be too hard on him then, if It seems that all Nebby needs to do is sit still." She gave Lillie a discreet, knowing look.

The Kid, Theater Square

The Kid stopped as a man stepped in front of him, looking upwards at his face. He stared back with a flat look that betrayed no worry or intimidation; Fitting since that was actually true. This man was maybe half the size of the larger man, and had little chance of hurting the young soldier. But, just as he was about to warn the man of this, somebody else interjected. It was an older man, dressed in an outfit that he was starting to associate with the criminals of this place. When the man who had stepped in front of him suddenly dropped to the ground at the sight of him, it only strengthened the idea. What was interesting was the man's reaction. Humble and dismissive of it, and willing to stand up for the man they were attacking.

That said, when he questioned the group, The Kid stayed silent. He hadn't been part of deciding to try such a thing, but neither was he going to speak before they could. Not everyone thought the same though, and he was surprised when Sabrina suddenly started shouting, giving away the whole thing and berating the others before they could even say a word. With the victim's safety assured, he simply turned and moved back towards the table to pick up the money they had won and wait.

Dio Brando, Yoshida Batting Centre

There were thirteen men inside, or rather twelve and Majima - boydguards, perhaps an inner circle. These were not the lower rungs of uninitiated street thugs, not cloying intermediaries of middling ability but high ambition. No. This was the final destination, the peak and grand culmination of twelve careers. To a man, to a woman, to two fraudulent children, this was a room of hardened killers.

Majima had been expecting us, of course, and set upon us with interest veiled behind a practiced air of impatient disapproval - our heist had been a terrible choice (which was true), the decision to see him was suicide for a normal man, who would rather leap from a rooftop than face his presence, a bat in his hands ready to dash brains from skulls, so on and so forth. He was a good liar, practiced and internalised, but was betrayed by a simple and inescapable truth; he still wanted to know what the grand game was.

"The kind a man plays for entertainment," I said, levelly, "and the only reason we're talking. You're tired of finding empty rooftops, Majima. You and I should talk in private. In sight of your men, if you think it's necessary, but away from their ears. Our business doesn't concern them."

Theater Square - Koishi is the shame of society

"Oh, okay!" Koishi calls down to her partners in crime, who have just informed her that they'll be giving back their bounty of stolen wallets. She's been working under the impression that getting as many wallets as possible and then keeping them was the plan, but plans have obviously changed. What a strange way of making money this is.

Once Koishi has gathered up a double-armload of purloined wallets, she zips down to the ground feet-first with surprising speed and poise before skidding to a halt a few feet above the ground, causing the wallets to be unceremoniously dumped onto the ground in front of Kiryu. Koishi finds she's been briefly immobilized for reasons she isn't privy to. Regardless, she's more or less where she needs to be now, roughly eye to eye with the very tall and well-muscled yakuza man. No words are exchanged for a few scant seconds, but some awkward fidgeting and stony silence is. Koishi doesn't even look upset or guilty; just confused that she's being told to give back what she acquired for the group.

But more importantly, this guy could see her! That doesn't happen every day, and Koishi decides she needs to find out more.

"Hello-hello! I'm surprised you could see me! Most people can't, but it's really neat that you can. My name's Koishi."

Desco - Weeeee!

Desco followed along of course, looking with wide eyes along the way. "Oooh, is this a mafia stronghold?! Camouflage is important to a villain working in plain sight. They have to look legitimate, like this was a normal business. Of course, a Final Boss doesn't need such things except as a minor obstacle to put in front of heroes." Desco spoke to herself matter-of-factly to nobody in particular, almost off in her own world. Dio at least knew all too well how serious she was with thoughts.

Then they were inside with a group of evil looking men. It didn't intimidate Desco, plenty of demons put on this front. These were just humans too, her own mafia was a little more intimidating with dragons as bodyguards. This guy with a baseball bat though... "Um, we need to make a lot of money! Also Desco would like to point out that a baseball bat isn't very intimidating, its not really your thing. Only Big Sis can pull that off. Maybe you should get some Dragons! Or a Bazooka?"

Dio Brando, Yoshida Batting Centre

And then, with the inevitability of sin, quoth the Desco something ruinous. Through some herculean effort I suppressed the grimace entirely, though it strained something in my neck almost to breaking, and passed through the rising mist almost without a flicker. The damages were minor, nothing beyond an objective he already knew and an insult beneath his attention, but for a crimson moment my failure to foresee them was nothing short of infuriating.

"Nor her," I said, smiling through tight lips. "This is a time for adults to speak, Desco. Ignore us and play with Remilia. I will make you wait outside."

Desco frowned, Dio wanted to handle things himself. Well, she trusted him to do what was best anyway. Seems like he wanted to talk things out and Desco wasn't the best at diplomacy. Lillie ~ Matsuya

"That's good to hear...." Lillie replied with a sigh of relief.

After that, she frowned in thought for a few more moments. "...I guess I don't have any more worries right now." Then she looked down at Nebby, who since their arrival had been sitting on her lap. "...What do you think, Nebby?"

"Pew!" Nebby replied, with a blank smile that looked like it had no idea what Lillie was asking it about.

Lillie shook her head before looking back up at Goto. "...I guess that's that...?"

Qrow - The Cost of Knowledge; Arena Stands

Qrow whistled as Kage rattled off the prices, and a grin formed on his face.

"That's pretty pricey for a few sentences. I'm starting to see how you can afford a place like this."

"Unfortunately, that's so much on the pricey side, I ain't got the cash for it. Even if I win the bet I put down, and-" He leaned to his right to look around Kage, toward the arena. "yeah, I think I'm gonna win; I'm still not gonna have enough."

"But tell you what? Come back after we've had our fights, and I'll have the cash."

Qrow leaned back, and put his hands behind his head.

"I mean, that's unless you've got any odd jobs lying around. Preferably more on the legal side, but I'd be willing to blur the line at vigilanteism."

Sumireko, How Do You Advertise
That went better than expected! Even if it was just a little misunderstanding that could've ended up with her arrested or the entirety of Tokyo burnt to the ground, she and by extension this entire metropolitan area escaped unscathed!

Now, even after having drawn the ire of passerby, she was ready to advertise. A few mental muscles flexed, and the orbs of water started to dance around in the air in a rhythmic fashion, and the arrow jiggled enticingly towards the newest, hottest shrine in all of Kamurocho.

At the same time, Sumireko did a cute little dance with her sign.

2B - Arena

Turning to face her last opponent, 2B inspected the man in yellow as he stepped forwards. Unlike the last two fighters, he settled into a fighting stance that was actually competent, balanced and ready. This one seemed to know what he was doing. 2B responded in kind, raising her own fists and bouncing slightly on her toes as well, shrouded eyes locked onto the man...

The fight began, and the pair engaged. Reacting in an instant to the man's advance, 2B avoided the high kick with a backwards twitch of her head, meeting his blows with her forearms, blocking or deflecting them away, matching the man's speed easily. His last blow, she caught his fist in her hand and squeezed, lifting his arm up to land a punch on his unprotected ribs.

Reimu - Hakurei Branch Shrine

Reimu studied her final (and possibly most important) addition to the shrine: an offertory box, created from a cardboard box. Now the donations could start rolling in. Stepping back a little, Reimu took a moment to regard the full shrine. The donations box stood in front of the table holding the Hakurei Yin-Yang Orbs, which worked as the shrine's shintai or object of worship. Reimu would craft some shimenawa once they had some spare cash. The board describing all of the shrine's services stood on one side of the donations box, and Sumireko's spiritualist drawing on the other.

All in all, Reimu was rather proud of it all. Nodding with satisfaction, she started cleaning up the shrine grounds while waiting for worshippers.

Theater Square

Kiryu crossed his arms and gave Koshi a disapproving glare as they appeared.

"The wallets!" One man said.

"Ok, line up and take your wallets, one at a time, and only your wallet. Then leave. I'll deal with the thieves."

With someone other then them taking charge, the crowd did as told, and swiftly enough, everyone had left. Kiryu turned to the group, looking at Koshi.

"Hello, Koshi. I'm Kiyru Kazuma. I'm not sure what exactly you mean, but of course I can see you, you are right in front of me."

Then he turned his glare on Baron and the others.

"As for you, I don't know why you need money so badly that you're willing to resort to petty theft, but there's no excuse for setting such a bad example for a child. You should be ashamed of yourselves."

After a moment to let that sink in, he continued. "How much money did you need, and why do you need it?"

Alleyway

Gaige nodded. "Cool, leave it to me!" Motioning for him to follow, she reentered the alley and walked up to the director.

"Hi there, I'm the catsuit guy's agent."

"....Aren't you a little young to be an agent?"

"Not important! Look, I'm sorry he messed up your scene, but he really needs a job. Think you can give him a part in something?"

"Hmmmm....what's he been in?"

"Oh, er, you know.....Game of Bowls, Star Cat, Catman 3...."

"Hold on, he was the guy in Catman 3?!"

"Oh, sure, totally!"

The director raised his hands in a box as he looked at Claw. "Yes, yes, I think I have the perfect part for him. I'm partnering with another director to film a horror movie. A man gets his hands on a possessed mascot suit that turns him into a raving madman bent on murdering a group of random teenagers. It's a classic setup, and there's both a massive cat craze and pirate craze going on these days. So something that combines the two is sure to be a hit!"

Gaige shook her head. "Not so fast! What's your offer for pay?"

"Hmmm....any veteran of Catman 3 isn't going to come cheep." He walked over to Claw. "How's 1 Million Yen sound?" The director asked.

Rooftop

Akiyama's mouth dropped open in shock.

"You need 10 million yen?"

He looked away for a second and mumbled to himself. "Not another one of those weirdos

Looking back, he chuckled. "Well, it's not really that kind of test. I'm not going to ask you to punch bullets out of the air, heh, and it's going to be a series of tests. I have an idea for your first test, if you're ready to start right now.....How much experience do you have working in a hostess club?"

Meanwhile, over at the fight, the mercenary was struck in the face. Yet, even as the boot impacted, he reached up, attempting to grab Lucifers ankle and swing her to drive her directly into the rooftop face first. If this worked, he would attempt to raise his SMG and shoot her while she was down on the ground with the rubber bullets.

Matsuya

"Right, excellent." He said with a nod. "So, let's get into the meat of the negotiations. How much are you asking for for the rights to his likeness?"

Batting Center

Majima laughed at Dio's words, and then snapped his finger. Suddenly, 12 guns came out and were pointed at Dio. Once this was done, Majima shook his head as he drew a knife out of his shirt, drawing it and spinning it in his hand.

"Let's cut the bullshit. Much as I'd like to just have a bit of fun with you, you've put me in a shitty position. The Tojo Clan wants their drugs back, and they want the assholes who did it dead. You went and directly asked for me, and they sent you to me, That doesn't leave much room for negotiation here. It's going to have to be you or me, and much as I'd like to play, I got no interest in dying today. There's plenty of others I can fight later one on one. Give me one reason I shouldn't order them to fill you with lead."

Almost as an afterthought, he added. "Oh, and you don't need to worry about them blabbing. They know their place, Whatever happens in this room stays in this room."

Arena Stands

"I'm afraid I have no jobs at this time. I believe you are next up once she is done anyway. When you are ready, come to my headquarters. You saw it when you entered, the large building opposite the main area of purgatory. Or, you may speak with any homeless man. Most of them work for me, and can pass whatever message you have along the proper channels."

With that said, he rose from the chair. "Thank you gentlemen for your time. Please, enjoy your time here in Purgatory."

Assuming no one stopped him, he then left, the snipers leaving once he was out of the room.

Arena

2B's opponent took the blow and staggered backward, injured but not down yet. He stepped backward a couple of steps, putting his back to the cage. Then he suddenly jumped, springboarding himself off the cage as he attempted to leap into the air and deliver a punch from above at 2B's head, once again yelling as he did so.

Shrine

No longer attracting actual anger, Sumireko would attract a few people, more curious and bored then anything else, and thus the shrine would begin to get its first few visitors. One of them, an older gentlemen, was the first to speak, as a few younger men in typical japan wear formed up behind him.

"it's been years since I've looked on an authentic shrine.....truly, this brings back memories. Are you the maiden of this shrine then?"

"Who bothers with this kind of stuff in this day and age?" One of the others behind him asked. "It's 2010, no one wastes their time with offerings these days."

Dio Brando, Yoshida Batting Centre

Twelve pistols, one tanto, a dismissive giggling laugh - whether theatrical or genuine, it was clear we were headed down the path of highest resistance. No end of trouble, said he, easier to kill us now and find his entertainment elsewhere. Still. Even if I had misread him, and he was proving exceptionally easy to misread, the fact remained. Surrounded by twelve hardened killers, we were still alive and unwounded. On some deep and hidden layer of the game, he was still searching for his excuse, his one reason.

Whatever it was he said, we had his interest, of that I was assured. I needed only to take his attention, and knew precisely how.

I raised a staying hand, so as to prevent a premature disembowelling or sucide-by-Desco, followed by a clear point to the floor for the benefit of the two who needed it. Fortunately, they were the ones paying attention. My grip on the bags tightened, and in a languid movement I set myself in steady footing.

"There is no good reason," I said, smiling, "is there? So let's not waste time. Do it. Shoot me to death and take back what's yours."

Somehow Gaige managed to turn this situation on its head and now he was being offered a job. A lucrative job. With one million from this and another one from Akiyama, that was already the fifth of what they needed to earn, and all of it overnight.

Humans Are Idiots, Rooftop

Still on her rampage and throwing aside all thoughts of possible defense, the weakened angel simply continued to use the leg whose ankle was not grabbed to pull back and then smash forward once more, aiming at the temple or nose bridge to try to inflict the maximum amount of pain possible without trying to actively kill the guy. The perspective speeding towards the ground was halted with two palms holding her upper body aloft, though the SMG was being so close was rather worrisome which was why she simply continued to kick wildly until something would give.

Qrow was halfway tempted to send a message to Yang, tell her that she was being watched, but she was the type to blab about it. He didn't think he was going to need the information had gathered on his allies, but it was better to keep his options open if he ever needed them.

Guts, Arena Stands

As Kage the florist finally left them, scruffy asked for his opinion.

Guts didn't like the feeling of being under someone else's control. Not one bit. If Kage had as much control over the homeless as he claimed, he had eyes on most of the streets. Still, it wasn't like he was blackmailing them, he was simply offering advice in exchange for money. Could've been bad advice, but it all depended on whether the individual wished to follow that advice.

When the assassins with guns left as well, Guts allowed some tension to leave him. Not all of it, though.

"He's full of shit... is what I'd want to say. He could easily feed us shit for all we pay him. But still, it's just a matter if we want to follow it. And if he says to just do what we do best..."

So maybe a sellsword could find some use here... a place with no wars. For even with no wars, conflict must exist somewhere, somehow. If he could earn his keep through any conflict, it'd be much the same as his old profession. It'd be easy.

"... I honestly can't see a way for that piece of advice to screw us over, so it's a good start. I'm not gonna pay him squat, but if you do and find that he's given you something worthwhile in exchange..."

you could share that information with me and help me out

That went unsaid.

"... you could hit some serious pay dirt."
