The group made their way to a department store, where Momiji began asking for the sleeping bags she said they should get, plus other survival equipment. In the meantime, Asgore looked around the store, seeing if there was anything worth getting, but on the way he also saw Lillie's mother looking at a stuffed lamb.
"Oh, these are some cute stuffed animals. Are you thinking of getting one?" He asked her as he made his way over and began looking at the selection available, "Hmmm, I wonder if Frisk would like any of these..." he said, thinking aloud.

Claw, Blimp Being Barraged
It looked like he was finally beginning to gather attention from the carriages below. Apparently his airship was holding on tight, but as he could not really offer any fire back, he could only swerve the Kirov a little bit, hoping that someone other than Kashira would actually board the damn thing. Haven't they got themselves a Kane beforehand, thanks to the effort of good Major Degtyaryov?
"Ladies and gentlemen, I don't think there's any point for you to stay around if we have what we came for." He addressed the people still around the base. "Come over to the airship, if you feel like not being blown to smithereens by the tanks ahead."
Baron, Pixie Pick-Up
"All I know about 'em pixies is dat sum Killseekers get high off their tits on Pixie Dust. No idea what dat is, but I sure as hell don't feel like knowing." The Baron commented idly on the whole pixie deal before grinning at Tanya. "And ya dun have to sweat it. Dis here Baron worked hard to have muddafuckas quake in their boots whenever they see dem sweet duds, so I bet some bozos back at ya place piss demselves whenever a Pixie comes up."
Sabrina, Department Store
"Rather quaint," Sabrina said to the others as they headed to the department store after having finished with their meal. Like the others, she eventually found herself in the department store, looking at the stuffed animals. Soon, she picked up a stuffed cat. "Wow, these are like the Pokemon dolls back home."

Wizard Needs Food BadlyBlack Forest Department Store
A few moments and everyone else had gone off to do other things. Apparently, Lillie was on her own when it came to gathering supplies. Which would be fine, if she had any idea at all of what to look for.
No wait, she was listening to the others talk back at the inn, wasn't she? She should have an idea of what everyone was looking for. The woman with the ring was asking for what sounded like outdoor things, so...food, maybe? Food was good, right?
"Come on, Nebby. Let's look for food," she said to Nebby as she put it down.
"Pew!" Nebby agreed as it shook itself.
Then the two of them wandered off to find the food section. Fortunately, it didn't take them too long to reach a section lined with bags of food. Except it wasn't human food; the isle was clearly labeled "pet supplies." Oh well; she had Nebby, didn't she? Plus there were Mother's and Sabrina's Pokemon, too. She could probably stand to take a look. Maybe she'd find Poke Beans, or something like them.
So take a look she did. The first bag she came across was labeled "Cat Chow - Chicken Flavor" and had an animal that looked much like Nebby's current disguise on the front. She glanced between it and Nebby for a few moments. So apparently, "cat" was the word this world used for Meowth. Actually, wasn't that word sometimes used to refer to Meowth even in Alola?
"What do you think, Nebby?"
Nebby gave her a look that indicated it had just as much as an idea as she herself did. That is to say, it had no idea at all.
"Pew?"
Lillie frowned, and then shrugged, before grabbing the bag to the best of her ability. Unfortunately, it was a bag that was just about as big as her torso, and about as heavy.
"Oof! Maybe we should have grabbed a cart or something...."
She adjusted her grip on the bag the best she could, before making her way back to where she last saw the others, or at least something to put the bag in.

The shrine maiden's eyes glazed over as she managed to touch upon the power that was coursing through Kane's veins. What she found...confused her. It was if there was a vast reservoir of power within the man, but it was entirely empty. Reaching out gingerly with her senses, it was as tracing the edge of a wound the size of a canyon, containing naught but a void.
But there had been divine power there, that was for sure, and the presence lingered. A dark force lingered, its touch resonating in this man's soul. It had been an old deity, and powerful. She could feel the pain and suffering of its being, the dark and...evil nature that had once filled the chasm within Kane. Reimu did not use words like "evil" lightly; few things in the world truly were evil. But this being...
Reimu released the connection she had to Kane, and snapped back to the present. She felt filthy, as if she had been elbow-deep in something dirty and vile, and could really have liked a bath or a proper purification. For the lack of a better alternative, Reimu braced herself and started washing her hands and face in the cold snow, muttering some prayers of purification just in case.
What in the world was Kane's relation to the dark god? From whom had he received all this power, and where had it all gone? And where was the deity? In Reimu's experience, when gods gave such power they rarely let the recipient out of their sight, but this one was merely a lingering presence. And if this world truly held such an old and powerful deity, why had Reimu not sensed it when she first arrived here?
Too many questions. Rising back up from rubbing her hands with the cold snow, Reimu studied the ice prison holding Kane for now. Just in case, the shrine maiden slapped some more sealing paper amulets on the ice block. If the god decided to fill the chasm with power again, they wouldn't do much good, however.

Sabrina soon put down the stuffed cat, and looked at the others who were missing one particular member, "Hey, where's Lillie?"
She looked around the area and soon saw the small little Lillie carrying the largest bag of "Cat Chow - Chicken Flavor" as she could with Nebby off to the side. Sabrina soon ran over to Lillie, helping the young girl to lift it physically. She wasn't about to use her telekinesis when they were having to blend in.
"This is..." Sabrina looked at the bag's label. "...What's a chicken?"
Wizard Needs Food BadlyKashira Lavellan - Up And Away
Kashira's arms and shoulders burned with effort and each breath was a victory in itself as she hauled herself up the rope. It wasn't as though the skyship was traveling particularly high, but it was moving forward and the wind whipped and tore at her as she made the climb. But at last, her reaching hand grasped cold metal instead of rough rope and with one final burst of strength, she hauled herself up and over the lip of the opening, rolling onto the deck, where she lay for a moment, breathing hard. But her people were fighting hard down there and soon they'd be dying, so she planted a foot underherself and stood up with a groan at the familiar ache in her shoulder joints.
Holding onto the edge of the doorway, she spoke over the comms.
"Claw, when you see the others, stop the ship and take us down so we can pick them up and get Kane aboard," she said. "Then we can go back for the others. Anyone who's still in the base, we'll be circling back around to get you out of there as soon as we can. Be at the gates, or if you've had to fall back, get on a roof and signal us. And Baron, you hear that? If you're outside the base, stop the carriage so we can get everyone up here. Claw, let him know if you need a signal to guide us in the dark."
The situation was somewhat improved, although she suspected the enemy had skyships of their own that could easily challenge this one, unarmed as it was, but progress was progress. With that in mind, while she waited for things to happen, she began a quick search of the skyship, looking for anything that seemed like a weapon, although her idea of such things was rather limited.
A good traveler has no fixed plans and is not intent upon arriving. -Lao TzuSoviet Base
The man didn't need to be told twice, and started running away as soon as Guts freed him and made it clear he wasn't going to kill him.As the trio of tanks continued to rush the base, the lead one smashed into the earthen rod Toph had been angling ahead. Combined with the continued firepower the Heavy was laying down, the vehicle was quickly reduced to a burning heap of steel and oil.
The second of the tanks, the one which had been bearing the brunt of the attacks earlier, continued dead ahead and driving towards the Earthbender's dome. The third tank, though, suddenly veered off to the right. It went at full speed towards the projection of Kane which Zasalamel had created earlier, now that it was closer than before. As it approached, it made absolutely no attempt to slow down, instead ramming right 'into' the non-existent leader. And off in the distance, the Apocalypse resumed moving towards the base.
Black Forest
"Hmm.... Yes, I, I suppose I am," Lusamine replied to Asgore, not taking her eyes off of the stuffed animal. "I've missed out on giving her so many proper gifts," she muttered. "A girl deserves to have a bit of extra joy every now and then, for no reason other than her mother loving her."She followed along behind Sabrina, not wanting to lost Lillie in the store, and found her struggling with a bag of food for chickens. Or, as closer inspection of the writing revealed, food for cats, but with chicken flavor. "Oh Lillie," she said. "I'm sorry, I was so distracted trying to find you something, when I should have been getting a cart. Still...."
She held out the little stuffed lamb doll and showed it to Lillie. "I... I thought you might like this. It's very plush, it reminds me of a cloud. Or Nebby."
"Ha, that's a good one. If anything, the military are the pixies since they've spirited me away by dint of drafts and we play merry havoc upon our invading neighbors by flitting across the sky and mischievously introducing them to spells and bullets. At the very least I can have a warm shelter and enough food to fill my stomach in exchange for such frivolity though." Barking a short laughter and finding the priestess' words to be on point, I couldn't help but smile at the comparison she's put on the name of my call-sign. It took a bit more effort to decipher the Black Baron's words but at the very least he meant no harm and it was good natured ribbing so I gave a slight nod and smirk in his direction as a suitable response.
Feeling this Reimu Hakurei to have done something magical but not the sort of spellcasting I was accustomed to, a brief glance at her face was all that was needed to know that some paradigm had shifted regarding her knowledge concerning our target. Opening up the currently empty thermos from my pack and grabbing attracting falling snow towards the hollow point of the upended cap and container, a steady thrum of enchantment was all that was needed to rapidly melt the powder into clear water, flash boiling it to rid it of impurities before handing it over the physically older female. "Here, you look like you need it." Water was free after all, there was no use in hoarding it when there was so much about.
"Very well, I'll take all the remaining things that you have that I asked earlier for. Do we get a discount for buying so much in bulk?" Rubbing thumb and forefinger in the universal handsign for money, the lean woman looked quite a bit eccentric with her disheveled appearance and her deadpan face along with the fact her spine was swinging to and fro like a pendulum. It made for a queer interaction to say the least.
While her owner was trying her not-so-best to negotiate a deal, the familiar with a funny face was currently waddling about in the general vicinity of Lillie's group due to the fact he had made friends earlier with Nebby. Hearing people asking what were "cats" and "chickens", the teddy bear spat out a notebook from its stuffing to draw pictures of the creatures upon it and then labeling said surprisingly good sketches with their proper name in order to be helpful. Holding the pages open to show off to the Pokemon people, Kumagai helped out in his own silent way.
Reimu - Team Blackfruit (BFRWT)
Spells and bullets from above? Certainly things Reimu associated with fairies. But she wouldn't hold it against Tanya.
"Ah, thank you."
Reimu accepted the cup of warm water gratefully. She dipped two fingers in it to clean her face, then sipped half of the cup to regain some warmth. The rest she poured on her cold hands and worked some heat into her fingers.
The soldier looked slightly puzzled, and Reimu realized she owed her teammates an explanation.
"I have gazed into this man's soul," she said. "And I have seen the workings of a dark god. He was once the carrier of great divine power, and it has left its mark on him. But I am puzzled, because I sense no gods in this world. Certainly not one of such ancient evil. I suspect this might be related to why we have been sent for him."
The last part had only just occurred to her. This was all very strange.

"Yeah. Guessed that would happen. Good luck to ya." Qrow mumbled at the running forms of the prisoners.
He ran his way over to the south of the base once more, spotting a tank driving straight toward the dome of earth that he was pretty sure the old woman had hidden in. Although he was far from being a Hunt Scout, he felt that assisting an old lady would be a decent good deed for the day.
He shouldered one of the two Flak Cannons and fired it at the tank, before dropping it and firing the second one. Just to be sure.
Black Forest Department Store
Lillie gave a brief grateful look to Sabrina for her help with the bag before turning to the group in general.
"Um...do you think this will work for the Pokemon?" she asked, "I, uh...I thought the cat looked a little like Nebby's disguise, so I thought maybe they'd like it...?"
She glanced over at the little bear, who was currently holding up a sketch of both a cat and a chicken. The former she'd already guessed from the bag and also from Nebby's disguise. The latter looked like some kind of bird Pokemon to her.
"I guess that answers your question...?" she said to Sabrina, before her attention finally turned to the little Mareep-like plush Mother had apparently picked out for her.
She blinked. At this point she got that Mother was trying to make amends, and was willing to believe that she actually was trying and not just faking it. However, at times it seemed like Mother was trying too hard to try and win her back over. is felt like one of those times; weren't they supposed to be gathering supplies for everyone else?
"I appreciate the thought, Mother," Lillie replied, with a small smile, "But, um...maybe we should focus on getting supplies first?" She glanced between the plush and Nebby. "...I think Nebby would like it, if nothing else."
"Pew!" Nebby affirmed.
Icon by Civvi the Civilian!Baron, Theology For Idiots
"Heard ya loud and clear, baby." The Blacker Baron replied to Kashira's request. "Guess we got far enough away anyway." With that he slowed the warminer down before stopping it.
He was pretty poor at the whole "gods" thing, but Reimu's words left him thinking. There was a certain malevolent force that was, currently, a constant in their lives. "Ya think it could be Ruler doing all dis shit?" He scratched his chin in thought. "Like, he gets in, bamboozles sum muddafuckas and den we gotta go unfuck it all up as a test or whatever?"
Claw, Get To Da Airship!
Well, they've managed to blow up one of the tanks, so that was counting for something. Still, staying around was really pointless by now. He would rather have the folks staying at the base for whatever stupid reason climb in now rather than risking leaving them to their deaths, but... "Alright then. Whoever wants to leave now, last chance for a while." The blimp then began slowly turning towards the broken wall where Baron's ride left.

Weiss-Team BWTRFL (Butterfly)
"That's nothing to be ashamed of," Weiss said after Tanya showed her embarrassment of being called Pixie. Her face shower a more muted smiled. "Just because you're a soldier, doesn't mean you have to give up your femininity."
Reimu's presence didn't go unnoticed, as the huntress soon turned towards her.
"I remember you," she said to Reimu.
"I must say I enjoyed the tea and biscuits you offered us back at the tower. It's a relief to know that at least one person that knows about fine food . Although, I don't think I heard your name."
When the shrine maiden explained she felt strange energies coming from him, she said, " That would explain why he wasn't affected by our attacks. Nobody could have an aura that strong."
If gods like these were indeed real. Could those of the fairy tales back at her world be real?
That thought was quickly lost when the Blacker Baron speculated about the tower deity she added, "I want to believe our presence here isn't entire pointless. I'm even staring to miss Ruby's childish jokes."
Make your hearth shine through the darkest night; let it transform hate into kindness, evil into justice, and loneliness into love.In his life, particularly the more recent parts of it, The Kid had experienced a lot of big falls. But, this one was new. When he hit the ground, he didn't do so as normal. Instead, thanks to Tanya's magic, he instead found himself bouncing around the inside of the odd bubble, before finally coming to a stop in the snow.
This time it took him a little bit longer to stand properly, recovering from the spinning as well as collecting the weapons he had been holding.
With everything set, the young soldier quietly followed the others into the large machine once again. After gently placing the rifles in a corner, he moved towards the block of ice containing Kane and yanked his machete free. Moving to the side, he checked it over to make sure it hadn't been damaged. Finding it fine, he slid it back in its sheath and quietly watched the others.
The talk of gods made The Kid think of his own home, and the Baron's words prompted him to speak up. "It's possible. The gods of my land are dangerous and flighty. They may bless you one day, and curse you the next, simply because they felt like doing so."

Reimu - Team Blue Waterflower
The white-haired swordswoman asked for Reimu's name, and she realized she had not introduced herself to the newcomers. Well, so many things had been happening lately.
"I am glad you enjoyed the tea," Reimu said with a smile. "Hopefully we can repeat that soon. I am Reimu Hakurei, Shrine Maiden of the Hakurei Shrine. Communing with the gods is my profession."
"And that may be, Baron. But I don't think the Ruler is a god. If they were, the Tower would be radiant with divine energy and it isn't. Nor did I sense any deity in the vicinity when I meditated inside the Tower. So the Ruler was not the one to do this to Kane. But Kane's special circumstances may be what made the Ruler choose him as the Key."
Join us in our quest to play all RPG video games! Moving on to disc 2 of Grandia!"...God, you say?" Peering most fervently at the shrine maiden and then at Kane, a cold smile came upon my lips as the thought of where such an ability came from. "So that's it." It was only the fact that there wasn't any personal specifics known about this 'existence' that I could manage to control this horribly burning anger within my bosom, though it was just shy of turning into an all-encompassing inferno.
"It would be better if they kept their hands out of the business of humans. Nothing good happens when such 'existences' touch the world directly." What the fellow child soldier said hit the heart on the matter, capricious beings with too much powers on their hands that could get away from punishment simply due to the levels of abilities dwarfing what mortals could perform. Sickening.
Flashbacks of the sheer grief experienced due to that damnable incompetent sitting high above flitted through my mind, causing temple to throb and breathing to hitch. It was damnably uncomfortable, feeling the taint of yet another damnable being in a different world. "What's our plan now? We need to figure out something besides blindly running away from the pursuers. Establish a meeting point where the group can meet up so the good doktor can transport us out of this wasteland?" A distraction will do- nay, must happen to keep the mind sharp and free of impurity.
The matter of where Lily went off to came up and the ladies left to go look for her, leaving Asgore there looking at the plush toys and wondering which one to get, if any. They didn't really look like anything he wouldn't be able to buy at home, but he had to wonder which one Frisk would like the most.
It took him some time, but eventually regrouped with the girls, carrying a small pile of plush toys. He decided he might as well get one for Frisk and also some for the children at school while he was at it. He arrived just in time to hear Lillie talking to her mother about he she appreciated the thought but that they really should be focusing on supplies instead of things like that. Well, that was embarrassing.
"Um... I will go get a bag to put these on so I do not end up filling the cart with toys. I will be back in a minute," he sheepishly said.
He then began looking for some bags to put all those plush toys he was carrying in.
Looking into his viewport eagerly to see the results of his brilliant and highly-delayed plan, Patches either held down or rapidly clicked the missiles-button until the missiles stopped missiling over to the tanks, plural.
While people fucked around with boring stuff like cats and plush things and whatnot, Sumireko was industrious! Proving the might of the Japanese spirit, she singlehandedly saved the day by walking over to the outdoor and sporting section and basically taking the entire department in this one cart.
It might've been hard to see the schoolgirl, because the cart was piled up so high it only left her hat in view of the rest of the party. So precarious it was, that if it weren't for the slight psychic nudges Sumireko was giving it, it probably would've spilled on the floor in hilarious fashion. Just comical.
Inside the assortment were things like tents, portable stoves, sleeping bags, knives, bags, lanterns, a pair of skis, binoculars, and a wide array of things picked by the discerning eye of a teenager who had gone hiking once, up Fuji, and complained about the heat most of the way. Most important/expensive was the sole hunting rifle she packed along with the rest, still in its box. How did someone like her get her hands on something like that? Magic, probably!
"This probably ain't enough to cover everyone," she said, peeking out from behind the cart, "but it's a pretty good start, right? I love all this old-timey packaging it comes in."

As the lead tank approached, the combination of Toph piling dirt in front of its treads, Qrow firing on it, and Patches unleashing his own tank's missiles made quick work of the vehicle. The missiles kept pouring out, though, with a flurry of them taking out the tank that had been distracted by the illusory Kane, and the nearby APCs, which were too slow to react due to focusing their fire on Claw and the Kirov. As a result, the only hostile remaining was the Apocalypse tank, which was currently ramming its way through one of the remaining undamaged portions of the south wall.

"Bulk discount?" the boy said to Momiji. "Uhh........ I need a manager...." He picked up a phone at the checkstand, pressed a button, and spoke into it.After a few seconds, and nodding his head, he hung up. "We uh, we don't have a bulk discount," he stated with all the authority of a high school student working a part-time job. "But uh, we have a senior discount? 10% off. Umm, I guess Einstein's old, right? Yeah, that's probably fine."
Lusamine
"Yes, I suppose we need to do what we came here for," Lusamine said, a bit quieter than usual. Little girls were supposed to enjoy life and have fun, not worry about anything, let alone the tools and equipment required for such a violent quest. It was her own fault, though. Maybe if she hadn't deprived her of a more normal childhood, things would have turned out differently. She raised an eyebrow as Sumireko approached, not quite sure how the girl had managed to place everything in without toppling over. She knew a thing or two about physics, and even then she struggled to come up with a reasonable theory explaining the centers of gravity and torques that would be involved in balancing the cart.
"Is that everything on the list?" she asked.
Claw, Cpt. Airship
"Mr. Baron, some sort of signal, if you please." Claw muttered into his communicator as he looked at the people boarding his ship.
"Welcome aboard, Miss Kashira, Mr. Guts." Nodding at the two passengers he moved the blimp forward, past the broken wall where Baron and the others have left. He couldn't have been too far away.
Baron, On The Ground
"I dunno about dat. He a God, right? Can't he like hide his aura or whatever?" He asked Reimu, not completely sold by her explanation. "Would made sense ta me, 'specially if he's got sum ulterior muddafuckin' motive."
"Anyway, ya homies got any flare or sumthin' to fire in da air for Cap'n Whiskers?"

Guts
Guts merely tightened his grip on the poor, struggling prisoner, flashing him a none too welcome grin. The swordsman pressed the prisoner down onto the ground such that his arms were splayed outwards. With a reverberating shing, Dragonslayer was drawn and raised in the air above the prisoner's head. With a wicked sharpness in his eye, and his toothy smile still showing, he brought the massive sword down.
Four hundred pounds of sharpened iron blade was stabbed downwards, driving itself into the chains of the prisoner's manacles, hopefully slicing them apart.
"Consider it my payment. Now get."
Racking his brain to remember the details of the map he saw back in that old man's place, he left the prisoner and headed for the armory, throwing his cloak over the rest of him to give himself some night-cover.
