Chaika - Tower

There was only one way to describe the surprised look on Chaika's face when she witnessed that bizarre creature coming out of the tiny pink ball the woman threw out: absolutely priceless. Her eyes shot wide open, her jaw dropped significantly, and for several seconds she tried to comprehend exactly what absurd kind of floating fayla she was looking at. She continuously shifted her attention between Lusamine and the Milotic as if the former was some sort of space wizard, and the later its space companion. She approached it slowly and, after poking it once, backed away immediately. She repeated the same process a number of times, until she was positively convinced that the creature was just as harmless as its owner.

Still, if they were going to go anywhere, she had to get prepared.

She opened her coffin once more, and retrieved two items from within: one was a small pouch full of what sounded like coins of some sort; the other was a stylized steel sword with a sheath that rather than a sheath looked more like someone had wrapped leather stripes around the blade. The one item that remained inside still caused the inside of the coffin to glow, albeit only until she closed the lid once more. With that out of the way, she... rolled the whole thing towards the Milotic, lifted it, and put it on the pokemon's back, after which she herself climbed up to hold it in place.

"Ready."

Theron — the battlefield

Theron found out, to his dismay, that the group was prepared to take the risk. He looked at each of those who addressed him in turn, his eyebrows scrunched together. He closed his eyes momentarily, and a face flashed in his mind's eye: Uldred, Senior Enchanter of the Circle, his face twisted into a terrible form by the demon possessing him. Deliberation, however, had its price; while he was trying to decide whether to trust his companions, KOS-MOS and Reimu used the Swords. So he thought, anyway; what little sensitivity to magic he had made his skin tingle, and he could definitely see the haze of magic in action.

He gripped his swords hard, his knuckles white, and waited for Reimu and KOS-MOS' wills to snap, for the demons to settle in — for the tell-tale flickering in the eyes and echoing voice.

"I hope," he told Kashira quietly, "that you are right. This is a dire risk indeed."

Forest Clearing

"Ah, such a delightful place..." Smiling and taking in the untainted nature surrounding him, Kurama closed his eyes and took in a deep inhalation to sample the fresh air... as well as the more subtle scents that ordinary humans with their stunted noses were unable to ever sample or know in their short lives. Having been of the spirit beast lineage, it was rather easy for the boy to instantly locate the myriads of scents floating about before analyzing all the ones that stood out- namely those of wood smoke from somewhere in the distance. Clearly this meant that they were close enough to civilization as it was, or barring that, a camp ground or an outpost of some sort.

That was only the sense of smell going to work too, for his ears perked up at the same time as the sounds of incoming travelers were headed their way. "I agree with the assessment, there are people coming in our direction. Be wary for potential conflict though please do not preemptively go for the violent actions unless it's for retaliation." Touching the inside of his school uniform, Kurama pulled out an immaculate red rose before holding it out in a small flourish, ready to send Youki through the plant in order to turn it into a deadly weapon at the drop of a hat. After all, it was better to catch an opponent off guard when acting decisively...

The Forest

"I hear you." Iria replied to Xardas, making sure she had a firm grip on her rifle.

She kept her profile low and sought cover, making sure that whoever or whatever might be coming could get the jump on her. She was thankful that whatever had pulled her here, into this craziness, had at least given her all that she usually had on assignment: a hunter without her armour and tools of the trade would be very worse for the wear indeed. She raised her rifle to a ready position, staying close to the nearest tree as she did.

In her line of work, it always paid off to assume that anything unknown was a threat, and this was certainly no exception.

Lusamine - Tower -> Forest Portal Area

Lusamine smiled at Chaika as she hopped aboard Milotic, and nodded when she spoke. The girl was probably from a place like Kalos, then, given the sword. She also didn't appear to be destitute, given that she likely had a swordfighting instructor and was able to afford her convenient - albeit rather odd-looking - coin storage device.

As she thought, her Milotic began to head towards the portal at what was about a running pace for a human. Not the quickest, but it wasn't a flying-type Pokémon, after all. The speed it went, however, was perfectly fine. It was as fast as one could go without appearing terribly gauche. Velocity, as they said, implied one was in a hurry. If her father had taught her anything, it was that only the poor were in a hurry. Those of means could afford leisure. While the others had rushed off ahead as the girl was clambering onto her Milotic, they would be arriving fashionably late in style.

Naturally, Milotic was drawn to the sound of running water that was present as soon as they had gone through the portal. The nearby river looked pleasant enough, and the Pokémon moved the slight distance towards it so that it could lap at the water with its tongue before further submerging its mouth. Why it would ever do something like that when it could just generate water itself, Lusamine had no idea, though she had long-since theorized that it simply like the taste.

While she waited for Milotic to enjoy its drink - one had to show kindness to their Pokémon, after all, if they were going to expect them to maul their enemies - she sought to further the conversation with the girl. "As I said, my name is Lusamine, and I'm from a place called Alola," she said. Technically she had been living in Kanto recently, but that wasn't what she considered her home so much as a nation that happened to have a hospital room. And a staggering amount of terrible movies and shows on their televisions. Absolutely terrible. She'd prefer to die than to admit enjoying any of them. "What's your name, sweetheart?"

Kled- The Forest- Dem Trespassers

"Woo, it's darn pretty round here. Glad it's mine!" Yeah, I certainly like this place I appeared right with the other humans. Freedom, communing with nature!

...Killing Hikers. My favorite hobby!

And while talking bout this hobby, seems like we got some intruders coming up this day, and what better way to show them this is my property than to get some warning signs in the form of their skulls? That'll certainly show them after all. I scoff at the redheaded human saying not to preemptively go for the violent resolution. Being all nice and sweet is what got the city of Trevail destroyed in the sacking of Trevail. Expecting Noxus to be weak pansies who would accept their generous peace offerings, pfffttttt, yeah right!

Me and Skaarl hide in one of the bushes, making sure that my pocket double barrel shotgun was all loaded up and my axe ready to cut off the heads of them interloping intruders....them intruders will know not to mess with SIR ADMIRAL MAJOR KLED!

...as long as that stupid lizard doesn't get scared, of course.

Heavy - The Forest

The Heavy had heard from his new colleagues that a group was approaching their location. He replied, "Дa." as he pointed his giant gun towards where this "group" was likely approaching. A loud whirring noise emanated from the gun, echoing throughout the forest, anticipating the enemy, whoever it may be.

Hinata Hyuuga - In the Tower

It had not even been a week since Naruto left for his training journey with the Toad Sannin, yet it felt as if the village's noise had cut in half since.

...

Shaking her head, she kept thoughts of her crush out of her mind, as she tried to get herself to sleep. She had a long mission tommorrow, and she didn't want to let her teammates down by being too sleepy to pick up the slack.

She closed her eyes...

...

And when she opened them up again, her training went into overdrive.

She immediately leapt herself upright, taking a fighting stance. She looked around her. She seemed to be in a giant stone room filled with many peculiar individuals. From her first glance alone she could see a bald man with a shady look on his face; an imposing man in white robes who looked like he could almost be from Kumo, and who wielded a scythe; a blonde lady with a weirdly-shaped long hair that reached down past her waist; a large man in red cradling a metal contraption with several barrels; a smaller albino? girl in red with a sword and a coffin, a blonde and muscular man with rather gaudy clothing; a handsome red-haired young man; a lady in a skintight outfit; maybe some others; and strangest of them all was a furry humanoid... thing (a youkai?) with what appeared to be his reptilian mount.

... Her first thought was that they were all ninja. That or royalty. In Hinata's mind there was almost no other possibility she could think of.

Viewing the people around her with her Byakugan was an even weirder experience. Some of them had no Chakra to speak of, which was a shock since all living things in her world were supposed to have Chakra, even the animals and non-Jutsu-using civilians. Others did have a sort of energy that her Byakugan could see, but they looked strange and far different from any Chakra system she had seen. She was no expert, but she had a small, niggling doubt that the energies she was seeing probably couldn't even be called "Chakra" as her world knew it.

And then the man wearing the ragged robes starting speaking, with an eloquence that was at odds with his disheveled appearance. Hinata slowly eased her stance as she listened. A Tower made by, and likely ruled over by, a God. A Tower that spanned across worlds. All in all, it was all a bit hard to believe.

But as soon as he talked about the prize of getting to the top of the tower (other than getting home at least), of how one can get anything of one's desire, sparked Hinata's imagination in a way that she would rather shamefully not.

C-Could she really get what she truly wanted? Maybe, with this prize, she could make people stop bullying her and looking down on her? She didn't really care about leadership of the Hyuuga clan. Let Hanabi get it, Hinata herself didn't think she would make a good clan leader anyways. But she yearned for the days when the Hyuuga elders didn't look at her like so much dirt under their shoes.

And Naruto. Oh Naruto. She was so tired of merely watching the dashing from a distance, but so very afraid to approach him with her feelings, afraid of what he might say. What her clan might say. But if he were to, for instance, maybe slow down a bit and go to her himself and confess his love for her... then maybe she would find it easier to say yes. Just one word. She-

NO!

It was at this point that she slapped herself. H-How could she possibly be thinking such thoughts, to invalidate all that she had worked hard for, in favour of merely wishing for it from a Kami she didn't even know. Naruto would be ashamed of her, she knew, if he was here right now. Putting her own desires over her team...

Her team... Sensei Kurenai. Kiba. Shino. And her family. Her father. Sister. What will they think, if they happen to find her bed empty and her missing from the village at the start of an important assignment! Her team would be worried sick, of course. She knew her teammates were not ones to show their inner feeling so easily. Kiba would just brush it off with pure bravado and say that he'll find her first, since together with Akamaru their sense of smell is the best in the village! Shino and Kurenai-sensei simply stay quiet about. But she knew they would be hurting. And she couldn't even begin to imagine how her clan will react, except maybe that they'll spin her AWOL as yet more proof that she is worthless, unfit to lead, and unfit to even carry the Hyugga family name.

She was ashamed of herself. Had she really been so focused on what she could gain, that she had lost track of her duties?

As she exited her thoughts, she then realised that many of the people around her were going into the portal without even an ounce of hesitation. She was shocked. Why were they trusting this man so easily? They had just gotten here and now they were taking him at his word and throwing themselves into a completely unknown foreign world with barely any intel beforehand!? Her ninja training was screaming at her to stay, look around and ask a few more questions.

Like all ninja, Hinata was taught to always look beneath the beneath and always consider plans and motivations beyond what people outright tell. After all, even in her village, ninja keeping secrets from their teammates, and entire clans keeping secrets from their Kages were common practice. While most people didn't see them, it was an open secret that there were always ANBU following every visitor and every major figure living in the village, and jutsu that planted listening bugs, prevented sound from escaping an area and transforming yourself into a different-looking-and-sounding person entirely were basic techniques. You could understand why Hinata was so hesitant, then.

Nervously raising her hand, Hinata began to ask the raggedy man standing before her.

"Ah, um, L-Locksmith-dono, m-may I ask how long climbing this tower shall take? B-Because you see, I-I have something of an important mission to undertake tomorrow. And my teammates and Sensei will be really worried and go looking for me if they don't see me for some time..."

???

The Doctor walks out of a door installed in the wall meant to crush him. He begins to brag to the Master about how he foiled this scheme when Emma interrupts him. "Very well. I have done the math and I estimate I have saved every planet in the known universe a minimum of twenty-seven times. However, I have grown tired of all the evil in the cosmos. The endless rock quarries. As such, I have chosen to retire." Wait a minute what am I saying? Is this me? This is wrong. This is all wrong!

Once again the Doctor is running. They say the Doctor is always running. This time though he is someone...something else. The borders are closing on Gallifrey, Rassilon is spreading his seeming despotic rule across the planet. He needs to run but there is nowhere to run. The looms! He can jump in there, be untangled, join the weaves of future Time Lords. One day he will be unweaved for one of the many Time Lord houses when the time is right. The looms? Rebirth? This isn't right either. Is it?

The Doctor is in a chair being lectured by The Master who plans to accelerate entropy. Wait no, The Doctor is actively fighting in the Time War, young and willing to serve Lady Romana. That's not right either, the Doctor is in the Tower of London. He's been there for over a hundred years. Yet...is that Evelyn? She died back in the Great Dalek War of 1903, it can't be that's impossible how is she...

"Doctor? Doctor?! Doctor, listen to me!"

Light Sword Group: Back to Reality?

The Doctor finally seems to shake out of his fog. "Clara, thank you. I needed that."

Clara seems to wipe what are some tears out of her eyes. "Oh thank god! Doctor, I've...I've never seen you like that! It's like you were completely out of it! In an almost comatose fugue. You were practically sleepwalking!"

The Doctor tries to shake some of the cobwebs out of his head. "I was wondering when this was going to happen. Clara, did you ever hear of parallel universes?"

Clara nods. "Of course you have, you're a well-read girl. Anyways, so it's almost like I'm sliding sideways in time instead of forwards and backwards, right? After all every little decision we make splinters off into a million different timelines. I've got almost a sense that's connected to the time-space continuum. I can even retain memories of alternative timelines to a vague extent."

Clara tilts her head in a look of curiosity. "So you remember things that didn't exactly happen?"

The Doctor points a finger at her, clearly impressed. "Almost! It's like a vague dream so to say. They did happen but to another me. A negated me. Well we will need to be jumping throughout multiverses as I mentioned before. The tower was a sort of hub where they coalesce. This is my third time with such an experience. If I can recognize and remember alternative timelines, what do you think this much exposure to multiversal travel has done to me?"

Clara's wide, expressive eyes show a quick flash of shock. "You're remembering alternate yous?"

The Doctor shakes his head, his eyes showing his centuries. "Worse. I can't recall which one is me anymore. What's a memory of a false self and what's reality? Am I the false self to another Doctor? It's unraveling my time-senses Clara. This is unhealthy for me. I thought the more than 200 years since my last experience with multiversal shenanigans would have cooled them down. Clearly not."

Clara puts an arm on the Doctor's shoulder. "Regardless of who or what is the so-called "real Doctor", you're mine. The Doctor and his companion in another grand adventure! You promised me you'd take me home in time to see Angie and Artie." Clara chuckles her girlish laugh. "Come on Doctor, we have a key to find and people to talk to. You know some of these people can't out-negotiate a Sontaran."

KOS-MOS, The Battlefield — Ormus

It was little wonder that Reimu was left waiting after managing to quell the God of Darkness' rampancy, as KOS-MOS herself had evidently been preoccupied with something else for the entire duration, making no effort whatsoever to control her own Sword beyond a basic amount of restraint in the meantime. Once the contrary pressure from Ialdir ebbed, however, the blue-haired woman quickly returned her attention to corralling her respective divinity, starting with a copious degree of gentle coaxing, which went approximately nowhere toward ending the Light God's belligerence. As her counterpart's softer methods repeatedly failed to affect the outcome, Reimu would be privy to a sigh of exasperation that unintentionally carried even over their makeshift bond, followed by an overwhelming exercise of will and something that was difficult to make out, but which gave an impression that it would have sounded something like:

Eione! Cease this at once, or so help me, I am turning this universe around!

In any case, the struggling on the God of Light's part abruptly stopped, and — perhaps unsurprisingly for someone whose name literally translated to "order" — she ensured the radiant deity's influence evened out into a perfectly uniform distribution. It seemed KOS-MOS was much more accustomed than the shrine maiden to regulating the elementary sort of forces they were currently dealing with, though there was no telling whether the gynoid had any experience with Gensokyo-style gods.

Having firmly wrested control of the power of Light, then, she continued making use of it's influence over heat. Being able to vibrate molecules next to people's ears sure was convenient! "Aligels," she prompted so that only the king could hear, "Is there anything confidential you wish us to know while we proceed? We may contrive a means to speak privately after moving, if needed. Cough once for yes, or twice for no."

As soon as he made his reply, she would nod in subtle acquiescence before returning her attention to Reimu across their linkage. Interestingly, it seems the legend regarding this power being used to create the sun was true. However, this planet's location does not correspond to any known sector of Space, so we are likely not standing upon an alternate version of Earth, she imparted, explaining her earlier preoccupation, In case they have escaped your notice, several new Climbers have arrived, and the nearby crow is also evidently one of our companions shape-shifted. I suggest we include them in the transport along with the rest.

Toph - Forest Path

"Ah, I can see the tower through the trees now," Creaky said. She sounded fairly happy about that. Toph nodded, it made sense, considering what she could feel through the earth. A fair number of people, probably drafted to find the keys. She smiled reflexively, after quite some time alone with Creaky, she would not be averse to other company.

"There's a bunch of people ahead too."

"Really?" The sigh that followed was fairly clear statement as to what the kappa thought of that. Before she could remark on it, however, the kappa had already hopped out of the pond and landed in front of her.

"Ugh, let's just get this over with."

Nitori - Tower and Clearing

It didn't take them very long for them to arrive at their intended destination. Nitori beamed at the ensemble that greeted them; which included a human built like a wall, a woman with weird hair, Chaika, an old man, and some other people beneath her notice.

Floating about a foot above the ground, the kappa clasped her hands together.

"Nice to see you all, I'm Nitori Kawashiro, and this is, uh," she looked behind her quickly, to see if Toph had followed. She had. "This is Toph Beifong."

Weiss Schnee—Tower—Mirror, mirror where am I?

Among the newcomers there was a white haired girl crossing her arms. Weiss was looking at everyone at the entrance of the tower with a frown. She would have a word with her kidnapper when she arrived at the top. How did he dare to kidnap a Schnee? He would regret is audacity. But then, the potential rewards meant this might not be such a waste of time after all.

"Perfect," she thought to herself after the locksmith's explanation. "With the treasure at the top, I'll show everyone that I can be a self made woman, just like my grandfather. I'll show them that I don't need the money of my father, that I can look for myself. I'll restore the name of my family." A smile was draw at her face even if the frown in her eyes remained.

She hadn't said a single word until now. Her focus was on finding someone worthy of being her teammate. The huntress wouldn't waste her time with people that would just stand in her way.

"Actually, I do have a question," the huntress asked the Locksmith, finally speaking up with audible words, Weiss took out a blue vial with a blue crystalline powder from her pocket. "Where can I buy more dust?" The fact that most other worlds didn't have dust didn't cross her mind. "I doubt this tower has better dust than the Schnee Dust company," she moved her pony tail with pride. "But I will need to restock mine eventually. Money is not an issue for me."

As she waited for the Locksmith's reply, Weiss started to think in her mind about the first impressions she had from her fellow climbers. Just the ones she had managed to see so far.

"That "heavy" guy? Please! He looks like an idiot. A dumb gorilla. He is barely able to speak. And his weapon isn't something I hadn't seen before. Not worthy of my time,''" she started to think to herself.

"The "wizard" seems too old, even older than my dad. —Although, he seems to share Glynda's fashion sense. Maybe he is stronger than he looks," she continued to ponder in her mind.

"That shy girl? At least Jaune could speak whithout stuttering. I would have to constantly save her from danger—Weiss though to herself while watching at Hinata— "She would only slow me down."

Her gaze to was now focused on Lusamine. She seemed to have a semblance very similar to hers. Only she used strange balls instead of glyphs for her summons. "Maybe I could learn something from her," she kept pondering. Meeting Lusamine would be among her first priorities.

But then Chaika spoke. She made the heavy seem to speak like Ozpin in comparition. At least she had a sword. Maybe she could fight? Ruby did teach her not to underestimate innocent looking people. "It might be a good idea to meet her first," she thought to herself.

Chaika - Forest Area

The floating creature didn't move particularly fast, roughly at around the same speed as those magic vehicles that only Selma could drive, which made it rather easy to hold onto it, and to keep the coffin in place as well. Curiously enough, its first destination was a small river nearby, where it stopped to drink a little. Maybe it was thirsty.

During that time, the woman introduced herself again. Her name was Lusamine, and she was from a place called Alola, which Chaika had never heard of. She had to wonder just what kind of things lived in Alola. Nonetheless, Lusamine promptly asked for Chaika's own name in return, and as a soon-to-be Empress, she could not refuse that request.

"Chaika G- wrong; Bogdan," she immediately corrected herself. "Chaika Bogdan."

That was a close call. She would have to be more careful; after all, she could be a soon-to-be Empress, but she was also still basically a fugitive.

Weiss Schnee—Forest

After hearing what the Locksmith said, Weiss entered the portal to start her quest. Weiss was able to spot and then approach both Chaika and Lusamine. The huntress initially gave her the back to the other new comers. She ran as fast as she could towards them. But when she arrived she was noticeably panting to the point she had to lean downwards and touch her legs to catch her breath.

Nevertheless, she was still able to over hear Nitori and Toph presenting themselves. She gave them a quick glance, before turning her attention back at the duo.

"Excuse me," Weiss interrupted both Lusamine and Chaika. "I figured that if we should have a chance of getting this reward at the top, we might as well work as a team. I'm looking to join forces with the very best," she smiled putting her hands on her hips." I'm Weiss Schnee," she introduced herself offering her hand.

"That's a strange use of your semblance, using those balls to summon those weird Grimm, I mean," she commented to Lusamine, "I'm still having trouble doing my summons."

Then to Chaika " I see you're a fellow sword user. But I lean more towards using a rapier." She unsheathed Myrtenaster, waving the weapon at her side to show it to her.

Lusamine - Forest Area

"Chaika... Bogdan...." Lusamine said to Chaika with a smile, sounding out her name slowly and deliberately. "That's a very pretty name. Did your mother come up with it?"

"Oh my," she said, turning her head around to look at the newcomer. A young girl adorned in white and red, someone who carried a sword. "And what do we have here?" she asked.

While she knew that they were all gathered from different worlds, at least if the... Clockmaster? Keymaker? ... whatever his name, even if he were to be believed, she definitely would not have thought the girl to be out of place in the Kalos region. Her hair, her dress, those definitely scored points with her. The whole white ensemble spoke of purity, yet the red flares hinted of rage and passion buried under the surface. She could do without that positively gaudy metal band she had in her hair, though. It definitely soured the entire outfit. All told, it was definitely an outfit that was on the right track.

If the girl was dressed like that, she definitely wasn't some common pauper off the streets. She could work with this.

"I don't have a semblance," whatever that may be. Arceus forbid she ever see a 'Grim' that the girl was talking about. Even the name sounded ugly. It definitely couldn't compete with the beauty of any of her Pokémon, especially not Milotic. "This is a Pokémon. My Milotic thought that it was a good time to stop and take a drink, and I can't help but spoil it and let it indulge. In any case, the pleasure is all mine, Weiss Schnee. You may call me Lusamine."

The World of Two Swords

As KOS-MOS took control of the power of Light, the power of the Twin Blades locked the two raging powers into a harmonious balance. Reimu's eyes widened as she felt the power of the gods that rushed from this union increase exponentially. The whole was greater, far greater, than the sum of the parts. What kind of gods had they been, to wield this much power, and leave their world in such a state? Well, she would handle that afterwards.

"Magician," Reimu spoke, her voice tinged with a curious echo. "What lies to the south-east that you would bring us to?"

"A temple," Myrdin answered quickly, eager to assist. "The temple to Halva, the Daughter of Shadows. A ploy of the God of Darkness, she siphons the magic of this world through a magic artefact in the heart of the temple. I warned King Letrael about this, but he was dependant on the priesthood to rule, so in the end he had me thrown out-"

"Yes, thank you," the shrine maiden cut him off. "I think there is an easier way to do this."

With the harmony of opposites, it was a simple matter for Reimu and KOS-MOS to extend their consciousness to the temple. A grand pyramid of polished dark stone, it loomed over the landscape and glowed softly with the power from the shadows of the setting sun. Reimu could sense the divine power that rested upon the grounds, but whatever powers the priests and their patron goddess wielded was futile before the power of the Twin Swords. Reaching beyond the stone walls, breaking through countless barriers of protective glyphs and holy sigils, KOS-MOS and Reimu found the artefact nestled in the heart of the stone structure. It was an orb, about a pace wide, and seemingly crystalline in nature but with roots growing into the solid rock as if it were a plant. Reimu reached out with earth, and forcibly ripped a tear through the stone ceiling for KOS-MOS to send a ray of fire and lightning to shatter the orb.

"It is done," Reimu said, and Myrdin made a start. Not even five minutes had passed, and only those who had coincidentally looked towards the south-east would have noticed the ray from the heavens. "Next."

The magician was stunned for a moment, and King Aligels seized the opportunity. His advisors tried to hold him back, but he shook them off and approached the two swordwielders.

"The Lightwell is the blood of the God of Light, his lifesource sapped from his metaphysical body," the King explained aloud. "The mythology says that elvenkind was made to live on the world that the gods made, but that is a lie. In truth, we are but parasites, who evolved to drink from the wound of the primordial gods. This has been kept a secret among the royal bloodline, passed along with the Twin Blades, and shared only with our closest advisors."

A shocked whisper grew among the soldiers as they protested, and many of the elves present looked upon their king in shock.

"After doing his research, my brother concluded that if we were to kill the gods themselves, their lifeforce might spill into all of creation, and make all water and all food capable of passing on immortality. I refused and moved to take the Sword of Darkness from him, in fear that he would enact his mad plan, which was why he fled the kingdom with his closest associates and mages."

Myrdin nodded slowly. He seemed to be only one of the local elves that did not seem shocked at the King's revelation.

"I can confirm that this is true," Myrdin said. "I was one of the archmages who went with King Letrael."

A stunned silence seemed to reign for a moment, before Reimu broke it.

"KOS-MOS, please follow my lead."

As the miko drew the full length of the Sword of Darkness and the gynoid opposite her followed, Reimu and KOS-MOS became the eye of a storm of magic as the power of the gods ran wild. Light and darkness fought for dominance in the sky, while the winds whipped up a storm and the ground rumbled. And then-

World of Two Swords - River Clearing - By The Gates to The Tower

Suddenly, the river clearing grew crowded indeed as all the Climbers that had been scattered across the region were gathered in front of the black and gold gates. Carried along light and shadows, all the Climbers had been teleported to their next destination now that their work was done.

Reimu sheathed the Sword of Darkness, returning it to its rune-inscribed scabbard, though it was hardly necessary any more. The gods had left the two blades, free at last to inhabit their world and creation. The elves had tried to suppress their gods this whole time, and suffered greatly for it. For too long they had misunderstood the balance and harmony between their powers as strife and conflict. Finally, the twin gods of this world could drive the cycle of life forward, and the elves, creatures that fed off the magic of the land, would thrive from it as a result. Already, the forest at night seemed fresher and revived, and soon magic and life would return to this world.

Their work here was done, at last. It was time to move on. The shrine maiden moved towards the black and gold gates with the Sword of Darkness, as usual not looking behind her to see if the others followed.

Patches, Tower Gates
Having spent the remaining time before they departed packing up his gear, neatly putting it into bags and hoisting it up on his back, Patches took a step outside...

And immediately saw just a few people appear with the required swords in hand.

Well, blimey, this was going to be a lot easier than he imagined! You didn't even need to do anything if you just had people go before you, it turns out.

He shrugged, and prepared to walk right back into the tower, when some cute Eastern lass, in another impossibly tight-fitting outfit appeared along with the rest, and immediately said a string of nonsense which he couldn't decipher in any way at all. So, he looked to her, and asked for some clarification.

"Excuse me, what?"

Kashira Lavellan - Tower Gates

Kashira was relieved, if nothing else, that the king acted before it was too late and spoke the truth about this world and its gods and magic. It was, like most such things, a bitter brew of honest misunderstandings and differences of opinion that ran wildly out of control, resolve to do whatever was necessary to maintain things as they were, and the other innate flaws of mortals overwhelming their virtues. But it was true and it was spoken. That was more than she herself had ever had the courage to do, even to her own people. He would, she hoped, make a good king.

As to whatever the Sword wielders did, the whirlwind of magic was beyond her, but she caught a glimpse of its power and majesty and watched, awestruck, as magic poured into the world. And then, between eyeblinks, it was over and they stood once more within the forest, at the gates of the Tower. All was as it should be.

She let out a long sigh of relief, putting away her staff. Thank the Creators. A world saved. Again. There's never an end to crisis, is there? Who will carry on after I'm gone? A thought for another day. For now, as they were finally out of danger, and their number was considerably reduced. Although, they appeared to have picked up some newcomers. She would need to speak to them. But first, all the questions burning at the back of her mind were demanding to be addressed and she turned to Theron.

"My apologies, I'm sure you've heard this before, but...are you the Hero of Ferelden?"

All her reserve and composure melted away in a burst of eager curiosity, leaving her looking like a child on her name-day.

Heavy - Near the Gates

At first he was informed of a small group of "enemies" as he anticipated mowing them down, until he saw that the group was moving towards him, but with swords of white and black. Yet, his new allies had not engaged, so he hoisted his minigun to let the other climbers pass through before beckoning the others to the portal. These must be the other "Climbers" the Locksmith mentioned, the giant thought to himself before entering the gate himself.

Kled and Skaarl- The Tower- Goodbye my Territory

I was THIS close to turn them interlopers into a puree for Skaarl to eat, suddenly some humans appeared out of nowhere, with two very interesting looking swords. Not only that, but they were leaving to enter the damn tower again. Those damn humans got the swords before he could even could! Wait a second, would leaving this place mean I would not be able to come back to this property once again?

....Nahhhh, if I weren't able to return to my property, I would not be called High General Advisor Lieutenant Sergeant after all. I'll just have to find my way back, kick them trespassers away and this territory will be once again all mine! Just have to play along with the humans around here, I guess.

I was ready to enter the gates of this damn tower once again, but I noticed that over the sea of trespass- I mean, humans, There was finally one Yordle cousin after all! Though this yordle seemed a little bit larger than normal...must be the mushroom juice making me see things. Eh, I'm sure it'll pass. Judging from the outfit he was wearing, he definitely must come from Bilgewater for sure. It's a good thing too, means he isn't a Bandle City or Demacian loving pansy, after all.

"Hey cous', glad you came to visit!" I give him a toothy grin while Skaarl gives him a dumb smile and waves at him merrily with one of it's feet before me and Skaarl move on to this tower gate. There's more territory for The Great Hussar Kled to gain!

Theron – Tower Gates

So all was well, huh? Theron could scarcely believe that KOS-MOS and Reimu weren't possessed by demons, but they both seemed fine and neither of them started behaving like demons (or, for that matter, had their faces and bodies twisted). With a sigh, he sheathed his swords and turned to Kashira. The change in her demeanour made him chuckle.
"Yes, I've been called that," Theron said. "I've managed to kill an Archdemon, so I guess it makes me a hero." He looked to the side. "Fame is… useful, I think, but also a burden."

World of Two Swords

-While everyone was standing around looking impressed, Toph was left with a lot of waiting. To her disappointment, even releasing the spirits trapped in the swords had failed to turn into a decisive battle, and the sudden change in the ground's density and composition nearly threw her over. Still, she was able to put the fear of Toph into a bunch of soldiers, an activity she didn't think she'd be able to partake in after the whole third Spirit Portal business, so all in all not a bad first outing.-

-Idly wondering what her younger self has been up, Toph senses new heartbeats, most moving and disappearing once they move past the same point.-

The Crow Currently Known As Qrow - Forest Clearing

Well, that was easy.

Qrow hopped into the air, and with a few flaps of his wings, propelled himself onto a nearby tree. He surveyed the area, and found it to be the forest clearing they had emerged into earlier that day. Complete with the door into the tower.

However, Qrow could also spot, what with his bird's eye view, that there were a few more unfamiliar faces. A bald mountain a man, a light-blonde woman, a girl with white hair-

If he had lips right now, he'd smile. Kid looked like a Schnee, but wore red instead of the usual white. Of course, it couldn't be a Schnee. There were only three Schnee children, and the youngest girl was Yang's age (in fact: exactly Yang's age. They were teammates in Beacon. How the hell Ozpin had set that up, he'd never know.). This kid looked younger than Ruby.

There was also the fact that youngest Schnee woman was standing right next to her.

He couldn't resist. A quick flight deep enough into the woods that no-one would see the transformation, and Qrow was back in human form. He staggered his way out of said woods, and right up behind Weiss.

"You know," he began, not bothering to warn her of his presence. "When they said there'd be riches at the end of this, I should've expected a Schnee to come claim them."
