A Game of Gods Season 3: Renaissance

Go To

The Malone Report of 21600 confirmed the suspicions of many.

For all of known history, there have been legends of heroes and villains, men and monsters who came to this world from others. At first people theorized they were legends of beings beyond the stars, but as civilisation expanded across the final frontier, we learned we were alone in the universe.

As more incursions came to light, we realized that although we were alone in the universe, our universe wasn’t alone.

We were a playground of the gods, those with enough power to travel across the void, to punch holes in the fabric of reality. No hole was the same, though: some were ragged wounds, left carelessly open. Others were dainty incisions, sealed as soon as their creator’s business was done.

Over time, we learned to peer through these holes. Although we could not travel, we could observe. We learned much, copied some. Some worlds were primitive, some advanced, some filled with awesome technology, some powered by magic, and some a mix of all four.

Then one day, a universe turned black. Here one minute, gone the other. No threat to the universe was observed, no reason for it to suddenly stop existing. As we watch, more and more universes died.

The first, and most prevalent theory, was entropy. From what was observed, a universe’s energy did bleed through open holes in it’s fabric. Some of the disappearances conformed to all the hallmarks of a universe that simply ran out of easily accessible energy.

But some did not.

The Malone Report was a product of nearly a decade’s research. It took into account all recorded cases of a universe disappearing of our collective radar, cross-referenced all the data, and came to a conclusion.

Holes in the fabric of reality didn’t only threaten a universe with entropy. It threatened them with instability. Enough instability that a universe could simply cease to exist at any moment.

There was panic. Riots. Revolution.

But with a threat so huge, it would have been irresponsible for the Malone Report to not provide a solution.

Under seemingly random conditions, a hole could self-seal. Although it was rare, a universe could have the punctures in it’s reality sealed, and become stable once more. If a way could be found to seal the wounds, our universe would be saved.

On the 19th of October, 21606, we found our solution.

Through one of our observation posts, we spotted a figure entering another universe. Whatever means she used sealed the hole behind her. That began the years of research on this figure.

Her name is Rook. She’s a woman, or the female of whatever species she is. According to legend, a being of enormous power stole her away from her own world, and set her a series of challenges. She overcome everything thrown her way, and at the end of it all, she refused the reward offered. Over the course of her trials, she had grown to love the lonely god, and the god her.

The god gave her technology out of the enormous cache they had accumulated, and let her wander the multiverse. And although it is supposed to be impossible to find the home of the god, Rook would always know the way.

This woman has the power to seal the holes in our reality. But we’re on a race against time. Our universe grows more unstable by the day. Through observation of Rook, we’ve developed a way of temporarily reopening the holes she makes as she passes. But it can only be done once. Any team we sent would be on a suicide mission, never to return home.

Because even if they found Rook, even if she sealed the holes for us from the other side, our universe has grown so unstable that we can only afford one more hole, however temporary, before the next one destroys us completely.

But there are more universes out there. Through our observation, we have discovered people of great powers and abilities. Although their universes are unstable, they’re more stable than ours. If we can open Rook’s holes to those universes at the right times, we can gather a team. A team to hunt Rook down.

The problem is, once we’ve reopened those holes, we can’t do it a second time. They have to find Rook or never return home.

We here at the Center for Universal Survival took a vote. Unanimously, we decided this plan was completely unethical.

Unanimously, we decided there was no other way.

Hello, and welcome to A Game of Gods: Renaissance, a third-generation AGOG game. Despite my long-winded spiel up there, the premise is simple: a dying civilization has dragged your characters together to hunt down a woman named Rook, who holds the key to saving their universe.

The catch? Our heroes (or villains, or neutrals) have been chosen because their universes are unstable too. And if their universes collapse, they too will cease to exist.

But what does “unstable” really mean? What it means is that the universe is changed, liable to outside forces. Effectively, a “stable” universe is a canon universe.

And thus, to be played in this game, any character must be an Alternate Universe version of a canon character.

What counts as an alternate universe version of a character? Any change to the canon. Perhaps they were born the opposite gender, and this affected how society viewed them. Perhaps their lineage was different, and thus they were born with different abilities. Perhaps the entirety of their society has changed.

Or maybe, just maybe, the big change is that they’ve been a part of the game of gods before.

What we want from our players is creativity. Think long and hard about the change you’re making to the character. How does it affect their story? Do they even go on the journey they do in canon? Does the change affect their status in society? Would different treatment as a result of this change affect their personality? Would the change hamper or help the development of their abilities?

Please also remember that if you giveth, you should also taketh away. A Spider-Man who kept the power-enhancing black suit would have major changes to his personality, and infact may be more monstrous than the one we know and love.

We’re asking you to take the dominoes canon sets up, and knock them down in a new and strange way. Maybe even keep them standing.

With the help of a Handler feeding information into their ears, and a mobile base of operations/portal generator, our Alternates will track down Rook and save their own lives, as well as those of billions of innocent people.

And if that’s not enough motivation, legend has it that Rook knows the way to a cache of godlike technology. Technology that their Handler is all too willing to give as payment.

Despite this being a sequel to two previous sets of games, you don’t have to be an AGOG Veteran to join in on the fun, and inexperienced players are completely welcome. The plot connection between this game and previous games is extremely loose.

So, your mission, if you choose to accept it…

Rules:

Signup Rules:

Characters must be A Us of canon characters. These A Us may be created by you, inspired by other people’s takes on the character, be a “canon” AU (for example, House of M, Marvel 1602, Flashpoint, or that one universe where everyone is evil and Spock has a goatee), or simply be a character who has been in an AGOG game before and remembers the experience.

One character per player. Any more than that will be taken on case-by-case basis, but if we believe that you’re able to handle it, we’ll allow it. Try and stick with two maximum to start with, though, even if we believe you could handle three or four.

Duos are allowed, but we’ll taking it on a case-by-case basis. In the past, “duo” has meant characters such as Jak and Daxter, where only one is combat-effective and the other just serves as someone to bounce off of, personality-wise. If you feel like your character’s personality works best when they have their constant partner around, but both are combat-capable (for example, Grif and Simmons from Red Vs Blue work best as a double act), send the pair at us and we’ll discuss it.

We’d also like to keep powerlevels at a reasonable standard, but anything can be nerfed. Even if you think your character is too powerful, send them our way and we’ll discuss it. Rule of thumb, though: if your character can cause or fix natural disasters single-handedly in a short length of time, expect some nerfs.

Gameplay Rules:

No real specific rules, but keep to general R Ping etiquette. No ghosting (simply ignoring any attacks sent your character’s way); no autohitting (whether your character’s attack lands is up to the other player, not you); no taking control of other people’s characters, etc. Of course, this being etiquette and not laws, you can make breaches if they’re discussed with the other player beforehand.

The only real rule is that GM rulings are final, and must be obeyed, though if you have objections these rulings can be politely discussed.

And of course, please obey all Forum Rules, especially those relating specifically to the RP Forums.
Once you’re done here, head on over to the Discussion Thread (Don’t try and read it all, we prefer our players alive) and the actual game thread.

Your G Ms (Makaioh, Meanken, wikkit and Katarsus) hope you enjoy your time playing in A Game of Gods: Renaissance.

Works for me, though the flattening only affects most Mook level Heartless in-universe, so I've got no qualms with this arrangement and the same goes for the Zero Gravity spells.

Can I use a character from outside DC Comics and make them a Green Lantern?

Huh, I kinda figured, but still wanted a second opinion on the idea. I'd imagine anyone that has Determinator as their core character trope to be overly qualified as a GL.

  • Name: Abrams Tank
  • Age: Came out of the War Factory two moments ago.
  • Appearance: Show them stars so we can earn stripes!
  • 'Universe: Mental Omega.
  • Personality: You know the cliché of the jingoistic American? That's our Abrams. Doesn't believe in non-lethal force, comes in when treaties fail, and is very happy to shoot anything the commander tells him to, up to and including units and buildings of his own side.
  • Backstory: What backstory? The tank was just assembled a few moments ago and the crew magically appeared in it, ready to fight them Dirty Commies.
  • Powers/Abilities/Equipment: It's a heavily-armoured Abrams tank sporting a 125mm main armament (for buildings and other tanks) and two "Saturn" laser systems (to fry infantry with). It's also pretty fast for such a large tank.
  • Differences from canon: Real Abrams tanks don't get lasers.
EDIT: In case somebody can't tell, this is meant as a joke. I couldn't resist.

  • Name: Specimen 11, a.k.a Susan Person, a.k.a. Xilonecho
  • Age: I don't know, probably at least of drinking age.
  • Appearance: Now in amazing technicolor! Standing at a good six and a half feet, her unnaturally long arms end in large claws, and her body is oddly thin. Though, aside from pronounced collarbones, it's hard to tell because her clothing is very loose fitting and her face is mostly normal. Susan has a predilection for red clothing and is currently wearing an apron. Her eyes are red, her eyelids baggy, and her teeth are pointy.
  • Universe: Spooky's House of Jumpscares
  • Personality: A mostly kindhearted woman who greatly enjoys seeing the smiles on people's faces when they partake in her cooking. She's pretty optimistic about life, because so far even after everything's tried to knock her down, she's kept on moving. Though she's generally very nice, she has a few goals in life, and she will do, and has done, anything to fulfill them. It can be very hard to convince her that she's wrong on certain things, but on other points she'll fold like paper. She doesn't get scared easily when presented with frightening imagery, but put her life in danger and she's a bit of a coward. The most important thing to note is that she has one thing she doesn't like at all: bringing in outside food into her kitchen.
  • Background: In the gilded age of 1993, with a speed unforeseen in the world of the fast food industry, a new restaurant appeared and dominated the market with an incredible furor! Susan's Beefhouse, with its incredible financial backing, managed to outpace and even consume many of its competitors. Though how this was managed remains a mystery, it's hardly anything compared to the enigma of a woman who titled and owns the company.
    • Which is probably a good thing. Susan Person is the descended form of a very minor deity of the Mexica, or Aztecs, whose continuing existence isn't dependent on sacrifices or ritual like many of her equals. She needs people to eat the flesh of their own kind. The way that she achieves this should be obvious. Soon, if business keeps booming, Susan will be able to return to the height of her power, and guide humanity into a golden age of benevolence and piety!
  • Skillz:
    • 100% Pure Beef: She is capable of freely generating infinite amounts of hearty, filling, inexpensive, delicious, nutritious Beef at will. It appears out of a small hole in reality (which presumably directly links to the many cattle farms working under the Beefhouse corporation) and extrudes at a rate similar to a fire hose. Comes uncooked but in many varieties of cuts, some of which are unknown to man. Ground Beef for everyone, forever!
    • Fingernails: They aren't claws, they're fingernails. As large and as sharp as swords, and attached to disturbingly long arms, but they're only like that because she insists on manicuring them well.
    • Phase: She can fly, and will herself through solid surfaces. She can only see as well as anyone else could, being perfectly human, so for going through things thicker than a few feet she is in danger of getting disoriented and lost. And let me tell you, it isn't easy to find your way through complete blackness, and there's a very long way to go if you accidentally head into the Earth's crust. Susan's intangibility has the additional stipend of only lasting for about 10 seconds at a time.
    • Shift: She is capable of returning to where she came from temporarily. She is insistent on calling this place the Beefhouse Beef Storage Facility, because it seems to be an endless maze with every surface entirely made of Beef. According to her, Beef is a cheaper construction material than anything else available. It takes about ten seconds to tear open a hole in the fabric of spacetime to reach the Warehouse, uninterrupted. She can also take others along with her, but only if they are on the verge of dying with no possible recourse. There's probably something about "The Veil is thin for those at death's door" or whatnot but she isn't one to remember such grim things. She can't use it to travel anywhere, as it only leads back to where she opened the portal. Nothing else lives inside of it, aside from her, and her Beef.
    • Cooking: She is unendingly good at cooking meat, and little else. It's gotten to the point where she can add things to her world-class meat dishes like vegetables in a stew, or assembling burgers, without screwing it up. However, it doesn't go much further than that.
  • Differences from Canon:
    • Her 100% Pure Beef doesn't cause people to go insane after consumption.
    • Specimen 11 isn't normally a nice lady.
    • Specimen 11's origins are a mystery.
    • Specimen 11 probably doesn't wear clothing.
    • Specimen 11 probably doesn't live in North Dakota.

@GCR: Okay, let me break this down. Keep in mind, this is all based on the gameplay from Injustice, but scaled down to keep him from being ungodly tough.

Without the power ring on, Nightwing's strength is such that his hardest hits look something like the ones that launch people into Stage Transitions. His durability is such that he can survive any of those Stage Transitions—at least, the first time. If he takes multiple hits like that, he goes down. If he was to get hit with so much as one Super Move, it would kill him.

With the power ring on, Nightwing's physical strength does not increase. However, his constructs can dole out more damage than that. The energy blasts are essentially lasers; I'd estimate their power as on par with that of a shotgun fired at point blank.

@GCR and other Gm's: Well... I'm actually having second thoughts about the character, either to cut the magic part down to a minumum; IE having him have a talking wolf companion and a magic electric sword, or making another one, a Henshin Hero version of The Question from DC, one of the Crystal Gems turned into a more typical Magical Girl(or Girls if I choose garnet), an alternate version of the doctor with magic/magitek instead of science and memory transferral instead of regeneration, or another Kakashi but cyberpunk instead of medieval... er any thoughts?

Xigbar The Freeshooter and Ami Kizuki are accepted.

Ud: Only if you flesh out the crossover elements. If the difference is just "this character got a Green Lantern ring", it simply isn't enough of a difference and is clearly only being done to give a character extra power.

I was halfway through nerfing Abrams Tank before I read it was a joke. Your G Ms are under a decent workload and are slightly frazzled, so I would request that you don't post joke signups for at least a month.

Also, the M1 Abrams had a 105mm cannon, and the M 1 A 1 and M 1 A 2 have 120mm cannons. The 125mm cannon is a Russian design.

Specimen 11 is the strangest signup I have seen in my five years of roleplaying, and for that I applaud you and hope your chosen deity has mercy on your soul.

But are you sure a psychopath who will become murderous the first time someone insults her "beef" (it's human, isn't it?) is the best choice of character? It's likely to be a bit disruptive.

Sano: If you wanna swap, it's fine. If you wanna continue with your idea, it's fine too.

Cedar: Yeah, I think something similar to the Anchor would be needed. We are somewhat wary about 40k characters, but send it our way.

Nitrous: Okay, so, he's not tossing people through multiple buildings. Two concrete walls, max. As for durability, I'm gonna assume that while he's more resistant to blunt force, he can still be stabbed and shot.

When I said "impolitely" I really did mean that. It was supposed to be a bait and switch thing, you know, you click on the spoiler and *boo* normally you'd expect some kind of dark secret, but no she's just a bit peeved about it

In any case, people talking about her all-natural, healthy Beef in anything less than glowing terms just gets her furious, but not murderous. It takes more than just badmouthing her product to get her killing. When she's starving for worship and the criteria for worshiper is "has a functioning digestive tract" and "is mentally capable of consciously choosing to partake in the Beef", she tries to avoid killing any potential adherent. Also, why murder someone when they're:

  • A: Perfectly capable of being sued for libel
  • B: Ultimately unlikely to put a dent into her fast-food empire, considering it's already one of the top brands in her world with the only competition being THAT FUCKING RED-HAIRED CLOWN BASTARD
  • C: Telling lies, because people have put her 100% Pure Beef under the microscope many times and all reports from that says it's indistinguishable from Beef
  • D: Desperate. You see, when people are about to die many of them wish for someone, anyone to take them and save their lives, under any cost. They'd give the world to live just one more day! Luckily, since Susan will outlive every living thing on Earth, she can be there when someone who slanders her product happens to die, and all they have to do is apologize for not telling the truth. If they do, Susan will take them to her own Heaven, and give them a whole lot more than just one day.

M-Izanagi has Atom Smasher which is Izanagi smashing his large blade on his opponent 1 to 2 times with a small chance of causing fear to the opponent. Maziodyne will be a severe electrical shock spread among 5 nearby foes at maximum. Magurudyne meanwhile is a severe blast of wind probably equivalent to a powerful whirlwind that also will only hit 5 close enemies of around...5 feet or so. Megidolaon is a couple strong beams of light that come from the sky and will hit 5 random enemies on the field. Power Charge meanwhile will strengthen Atom Smasher or another physical move. Heat Riser will strengthen an ally and have them hit harder, feel less pain and seem to sharpen their reflexes (hit/evasion up). Lastly is Vorpal Blade a very strong physical attack that drains a lot of energy out of Yu.

Isis meanwhile has a strong healing ability that will heal those around Yu, the ability to hit one foe with an extremely strong ice attack that lowers the temperature slightly, a barrier that can be around one ally and deflect one physical attack while Isis herself can absorb ice attacks while active and can very slightly refresh Yu's energy and stamina. She also can do the ice attack but spread that strength among 5 close foes weakening the attack slightly. Lastly Isis can heal her allies to near-full energy and has an immunity to severe electric shocks which transfers to Yu while active.

Sraosha has low accuracy light moves that will target only one foe but do severe damage if it hit instead of the insta-death it is is canon. Outside of that most of his attacks are similar to ones we've seen from Izanagi like the strong physical moves and the Almighty move Megidolaon.

Beelzebub meanwhile first shoots one extremely powerful flame at one foe, does a similar 5-target ice move to Isis, can extremely buff up one magical attack but that act takes a decent amount of time and has a small chance to do a darkness version of Sraosha's extremely damaging light spell. Beelzebub can also survive one light based attack that would kill Yu but leave him extremely weak in the process.

Asura can deal an extremely powerful to 5 foes, can focus one extremely powerful but draining to Yu physical attack towards one foe, can increase the defense of his close allies for a small period of time, and has a small chance to deflect physical attacks directed towards Yu and halves the stamina cost of Yu's magical attacks while Yu is active. Lastly effects like confusion and the like are invalidated while Asura is active.

Shiva interestingly enough can also do severe electrical attacks both to one foe or do a close group of 5 or can deal the severe whirlwind to a nearby group of 5 as well. Shiva can sometimes fully restore Yu's health in near-death situations though the stamina drain is not cured and lastly can use her arms to deal severe physical damage to multiple foes near Yu and just like Asura halves the stamina cost.

Attis can cure non-severe ailments for those around Yu, increase defense of allies, heal a knocked out ally to near full health and can deal both strong fire and potentially strong darkness attacks to multiple foes.

Zaou-Gongen has a powerful fire attack that targets 5 foes, the ability to charge a physical attack as well as a strong physical attack to focus towards one foe, the ability to sharpen his reflexes and to strengthen fire attacks done by Yu.

Any other questions?

Mancunian Candidate

  • Name: Asuka Langley Soryu
  • Age: Fourteen and change. Born December 4th 2001; died 31st December 2015.
  • Appearance: Basically. Sharp chin, pointed nose, prominent ears. Tall for her age, bit of a beanpole. In terms of physical differences, in this instance that left eye is a mess of scar tissue and cataracts. There's also a thin but otherwise neat line of scar tissue running up the length of her right arm and a mess of bite marks on her abdomen, along with assorted stab wounds pretty much everywhere. Girl got it rough.
  • Universe: Neon Genesis Evangelion. Welcome back to 2003, fuckers.
  • Backstory:
    • Asuka was born in December of 2001, just short of two years after a combination of catastrophic natural disaster and ensuing civil and international war wiped out just shy of half the population of Earth. Born intro triple citizenship by way of a German-American father and a half German half-Japanese mother, the latter a scientist working for the organisation unintentionally responsible for the state of the world, she was nonetheless raised in Germany.
    • When Asuka was four years old, in the name of science her mother Kyoko took part in a limited-activation experiment involving Evangelion Unit 2, a clone of the entity which almost ended the world. Although she survived, Kyoko came back with about half mind and was quickly admitted to a mental institution - Asuka's father burned all possible bridges with his daughter by responding to this turn of events with a badly-timed and highly audible affair with one of the doctors responsible for Kyoko's care. Asuka lived with her grandmother during this time, visiting her mother often.
    • Kyoko's mental state continued to deteriorate over the course of the six months, until she eventually began recognising a doll as her daughter and lost the ability to recognise Asuka altogether. This culminated in an attempted double murder-suicide in which she hung herself and the doll with ropes made out of her own bedsheets. Because the doctor was busy fucking her father, Asuka was fortunate enough to walk in on this first-hand. Her father had remarried before the funeral.
    • Asuka grew up and in the process was chosen as the pilot of Unit 2, and then the events of NGE happened. Since everyone knows the basic premise of NGE and everyone who gives even the remotest fuck about the exact events of NGE already knows that they are, I'll just give you a handy little rundown of how those relate to Asuka and this AU:
      • Starts off as the best-trained and highest achieving pilot. Attempts to pursue a romantic relationship with Shinji Ikari, another pilot involved in the programme, but this files due to Shinji's inability to understand or reciprocate her feelings. They wind up on uncertain but generally friendly terms, with Shinji's permitted distance changing depending on Asuka's mood and Shinji being too riddled with self-doubt to push any closer than he thinks she'll let him.
      • As the situation deteriorates and Asuka starts to understand exactly what it is she's piloting, the stress catches up to her and her ability to pilot begins to leave her, leading to a vicious cycle of frustration and failure. Following a particularly vicious mental attack by one of the monsters of the week, this eventually culminates in complete emotional and mental breakdown and attempted suicide, in turn leading to a short coma.
      • Asuka wakes up as the Evangelion project is being liquidated by the local illuminati, and is the first and only member of the cast to work out the Big Secret - Evangelions contain the soul of the pilot's mother, in this case Kyoko's, and she'd been there the whole time. High on the resolution of some mummy issues, Asuka takes Unit 2 and proceeds to kick ass kinds of ass. In this particular AU, Shinji gets there in time to help her. They both push back for as long as they can and then die horrible, horrible deaths.
      • With those loose ends tied up, the local illuminati initiate Instrumentality, which is a too-vaue-and-complicated-to-effectively-explain process that essentially involves removing the souls of the entire human population and jamming them all together so nobody will ever have to be alone and everyone can understand everyone else, aaaaw. In canon, Shinji winds up being gifted the overseeing of this process, which he immediately rejects due to being too scared of intimacy to ever go through with it. Without him the result would probably be about the same due to the next candidate being chronically indecisive - Instrumentality goes through almost as intended, but those souls joined in bondage have the ability to return to the human world. Asuka, along with however many others, chooses to. Shinji, for whatever reason, does not.
    • I promise this is all less retarded-sounding in the actual show.
  • Personality: So the shortest possible way of putting this is that Asuka's a crazy bitch in the way of damaged goods with stunted emotional development, while also being dangerously intelligent. The long version is boring and pseudo-psychological, but you gotta read it anyway. Fuck you.
    • The basest level of Asuka's issues stem from all the Fun Things concerning her mother up in the backstory section. Essentially she suffers from crippling issues of self-worth and associated depressed, for which she overcompensates by attempting to construct a strong, uncaring, and occasionally warrior-like personality and self-image based around her (often very poor) understanding of which traits and behaviours constitute adulthood - child Asuka was weak and worthless, so by nature adult Asuka won't be. Although the underlying mummy issue behind all this was or less sorted out over the course of the show, the traits and issues of identity built on it were not due to effectively being problems all of their own.
    • Like I said, Asuka's a smart cookie, almost to the point of being a prodigy. This led to a long pattern of habitual overachievement which became tantamount to propping up her self-esteem and vital to her self-image, leading in turn to returning depression and frustration on the occasions she's incapable of living up to own expectations. Because of the ease with which she passed through childhood, the standards by which she judges herself are often ludicrously high, which in times of self-doubt can make her very easily shaken by minor setbacks failures. In order to disguise this weakness she generally responds with anger, which is where the entire tsundere archetype came from.
    • Similarly, she exhibits a reluctance to let herself get too close to others emotionally, a self-defence mechanism motivated by both a fear of rejected and a reluctance to let go of the idea that she's the only person she can count on. In a pinch and when surrounded by people she doesn't trust, Asuka has a bad habit of rushing ahead and trying to solve issues on her own. When forming friendships or other relationships, she has a similarly bad habit of hiding or disguising her interest and leaving it to the other party to initiate, a 'safe' scenario in which rejection cannot take place. Alternatively she'll attempt to get there first with pre-emptive rejection, for identical reasons.
    • As you probably noticed, Asuka also displays a number of symptoms of PTSD concerning her early childhood experiences, for which feelings of rejection and helplessness seem to be primary triggers. Although this particular one doesn't exhibit the pop culture panicky fight-or-flight response, throughout the course of the show she also suffered numerous traumatic incidents during combat that would, although the triggers for these would be much more specific. In particular, attempting to use any kind of intrusive telepathy on the poor girl is going to make her extremely not fun to be around. Or be.
    • Most of these are dependent on her mood, being not really issues at all when she's in good spirits and aggravated severely in times of depression - her main issue isn't so much being miserable all the time as it is being maladapted and badly equipped to deal with periods of low mood or challenges to her self-image. As you can see from back-story she'll be entering the RP at an exceptionally low ebb, so expect all these to be exacerbated for a short while before she adjusts.
  • Powers/Abilities/Equipment:
    • Marksmanship Training: Asuka possesses basic marksmanship knowledge and could probably puzzle out how to operate the majority of non-esoteric firearms. However, there's nothing to suggest she possesses (or has any reason to possess) any knowledge of disassembly or maintenance.
    • Close-Combat Training: Including knife fighting, various pole-arm techniques, and a smattering of hand-to-hand joint locks and strikes. However, being an Eva pilot, the majority of this training is designed for use in a body weighing several hundred tonnes and possessing enough strength to lift more than triple its own body weight - Asuka is a fourteen year old girl who probably doesn't weigh more than a hundred pounds or so, making their applicability extremely limited. Still, she knows how to fight, even if she's not at expert at it in her own body.
    • The Fun Eye: Being functionally blind in her left eye and having not yet adapted, Asuka has difficulty with depth perception and has a large blind spot around her lefthand side. Also it's fucking gross.
    • Nerve Damage: Asuka suffered severe nerve damage in her right arm, leading to recurring pain, numbness, tingling, and severely limited mobility with that hand. Weak grip and an inability to fully extend her fingers, worsening along with the pain in inclement weather.
    • Being A Fourteen Year Old: Although reasonably athletic, Asuka is in all other respects an ordinary fourteen year old girl and as such outclassed in every possible physical attribute by the adult world.
    • Plugsuit: That red thing she's wearing in the picture. Thin and not particularly insulating, with no particular armoured qualities. Has a built-in defibrillator, but there's no longer a command unit able to activate it. Likely to be ditched at the earliest possible convenience on account of being useless.
  • Differences From Canon:
    • Shinji got there in time to help her out in the fight against the Mass Production Evangelions, and as a direct consequence died right there with her. After the conclusion of Instrumentality he chose not to return, either due to having died too hard and simply not wanting to. Asuka has no idea which.
    • Alone again.
    • Probably going to swear more due to no longer being in a mid-nineties dub.

Did you know this section has a character limit?

Nitrous: Nope, seems fine. Damian "Nightwing" Wayne is accepted.

As is Asuka Langley Soryu, who is the first character I've ever looked at and thought needed a buff.

So is Yu Narukami. It's a diverse set of relatively powerful powers, but it's limited by both energy costs and the fact that they're summoned and controlled by a very squishy 17-year old.
wikkit: Well, okay then. We'll need some sort of limiting factor on how fast she can produce beef, and a charge-up time for her portalling to the beef maze.

Also, what happens to the dying people she brings into the beef maze?

They do have medals for almost, and they're called silver!

Well, considering they're made of Beef, and everything around there is made of Beef, they sort of just get shoved in along with the rest of the Beef and become part of the maze, but if you think that's pushing it a little I can ignore that bit.

Alright here's mine. A familiar face to you vet wankers

Introducing the Silver wolf, the greatest mortal hunter in human history, (yes click the link I changed the theme song from last season), the immaculate son of a virgin.

Hey!" Nico objected, and I realized he had stabbed a finger at me. "He's a boy!" — "He is not!" — "Yes, Aren, actually, I am. And kindly don't make me prove it." I swear, I was this far from actually doing so.

Armani Dove

Universe:

Modded Percy Jackson series, specifically from the Broken Bow fanfiction.

Age:

18 to 19

Background:

Alright, so I'm going to copy over his shit from S2, then say what kind of shit has gone on since then.

His birth story is a tad complicated. The titan lord Kronos was still more than a decade from his rising of power, but he wished to test his returning strength. He had recently enlisted the aid of the chaos god, Eris, and told her to devise such a test for him, one that he knew — knowing her — would enact chaos on olympus. So Eris whispered into the ears of king Midas, who was in the fields of punishment; to make a rather long story short, the man blamed Apollo for his eternal torment in hades, and Eris told him of a plot that would allow him to enact vengeance on his hated enemy. She gave him the ability to walk away from the fields, and he was brought to the edge of Tarturas where Kronos used his power to send him to the surface world as a shade, and formed with his abilities a crystal weapon that was capable of holding the living essence of beings.

Now, how to exact revenge on Apollo? The best way — or so figured Midas — was to use Artemis, his beloved sisternote . Attacking the goddess was suicide, unfortunately for him, so he came up with a much more creative method, one that would mirror his own punishment in the underworldnote . He contacted a man named Hippolytus — one of Artemis's oldest and greatest of subjects, whom she granted eternal life in exchange for maintaining her temples — and arranged a meeting with him, whereupon he plunged the crystal into his side and absorbed a portion of his life force; he tried to absorb the full thing, but armani time travels and winds up saving his life and he instead gets thrown back into ancient rome and it's complicated, but he only needed partial amounts to make it work. So, the crystal now containing a mortal's life force, Midas completed the plan and tricked Artemis into letting him approach, whereupon he plunged the weapon into her side and absorbed her godly essence into the same magical artifact of Kronos. He was decapitated by her as soon as he was finishednote , but he cared not; with his last breath he commanded the finished crystal, now bound with the mixed essences of artemis and hippolytus, to fly to Apollo. He was of course nearby, fate telling him he would be needed here today.

So when his chariot/flying car was hit by a glowing projectile, he went outside and what did he find in a crater nearby? Why, a silver eyed infant bound in a cloak which bore his sister's symbol; Armani dove, as apollo would soon name him note . Sensing who he was, despite his obvious disbelief, he made the fateful decision to not tell Artemis of him that day; she was the goddess of childbirth, and he was born wrong. He was afraid she would kill him in a fit of panic, and he refused to allow his sister to stain her hands with her child's blood, no matter the cost. He took him away to an orphanage and he believed that was that, but unfortunately for everyone it was not.

The actual punishment for Apollo? Armani was incomplete; his soul was torn, and it got worse and worse. Witnessing this, Apollo tried to heal him, but it was to no avail; his sister's essence was the exact opposite of his, and being of her his own soul would always reject his 'patch' after a certain amount of time had passed in smaller and smaller intervals. It was clear to Apollo that before he came of age, Armani would not only die, but fade entirely into oblivion, his soul ripping itself to pieces. Just as Midas had been doomed to always try and save his daughter, always knowing he would fail, his fate was now mirrored in Apollo. No matter how hard Apollo tried, all he could do was delay the inevitable; every time his patch failed, everytime he had to feel his nephew's soul begin to degrade, it was as if he was feeling Artemis herself fade away. It obviously wasn't the real thing, but it was the closest Midas could ever get him to watching Artemis slowly die, and Apollo was indeed wounded beyond words.

Since Armani's condition would worsen when he used his artemis-inherited powers, Apollo took him in when he was 5 and put him under house arrest; he was allowed to do whatever he wanted indoors and under supervision outdoors, but there was to be no hunting of any sort, as little contact with wild nature as possible, etc, so that he would use as little of his power as possible. Armani spent most of his childhood studying — and would later be responsible for Armani being extremely learned as a young man — with some combat training being the most physical activities he usually had, if only to keep him in shape.

This depressed Armani beyond words; his soul yearned for open environment, to run and play and discover and travel and most of all to hunt. To a hunter, being caged is a horrid fate, and one that he had to endure. Worse, by the time he was a teenager Artemis's genes had begun to turn him into a psychological mess; it's never stated why, but around this time he began to have unshakable feelings of self loathing that never ebbed; possible explanations include his lack of being able to hunt which made him internally feel inadequate and Artemis being a man hater and genetically encoded to be so, so his own genes were constantly telling him that he was worthless and that no matter what he did or how good he was, he would always simply be worthless and undeserving of his nature. Combined with his dying soul, Armani wasn't a very happy person growing up, and it all came to a head the night of his 16th birthday, when he finally met his mother. To make a VERY complicated story short: The two had a less than agreeable introduction — Broken bow 1 is a really dark book — but after clashing, her hunting him for a couple of days, and a series of explosive encounters, he finally revealed to her his identity. She was heartbroken, nearly destroyed Apollo, and ultimately found a way to restore the wound to her son's soul when he was moments from oblivion. The two pretty heartily made up, and Artemis banished the woes of his mind as well as his body, and also gave him the hunters gift to help keep him safe in her absencenote .

So, much happier ending than he and Apollo thought he was going to have, he departed for Camp Half Blood while Apollo repaired their condo (Artemis pretty much totaled the building in her rampage)....Uh, three more books happened. I take him from the end of book 3, where he literally gets blighted out of the universe because the goddess Eris sets him up in a plot that nearly causes the entire multiverse to collapse before he sacrifices himself by getting hit with one of his uncle's arrows built for wiping someone out of space time. All in good fun, he has a happy life.

Anyway he woke up on a space ship, and this is where S2 happened. He journeyed with some people, saw the sights, fought some shit, winged about how he missed his mom. Then he got his soul torn into two piece (the other half is sapient and represents his hindbrain, it's a long story), which causes him to this very day to feel perpetually hollow and depressive, he absorbed Thor the comics hero, half of his friends got horribly killed (one killing the other in fact), and in the end he said goodbye to them all in order to journey to find his lost second half who had been thrown into the multiverse at large, determined to find her before he let himself go back home, for loyalty and for fear that his family would reject him if he went back with the 'god' half of his demigodhood missing.

A couple years (or less, or more) pass. He still sometimes sees his remaining friends from S2 when he stops by in S2's endgame location (bigass ship that let S2 vets port to any verse they wanted). Not enough to stave off loneliness, but enough to not go insane. And then, right before he found her again, he got kidnapped. Again. Man, the 18 years of Armani's life sure have been downtrodden ones haven't they.

Powers:

His powers have been quite affected by the fact he a) got his soul ripped in half, with his godly half going (mostly) to the other side and b) him absorbing Thor.

  • active power:

    • Summon bow and arrows; the bow is Artemis's own bow (it's kind of an atom-by-atom divine-for-divine copy), so it's powerful enough. It can pierce through kevlar, never needs stringing, never breaks, and is godly accurate to where it somehow lets you shoot multiple arrows at once (so long as his own aiming is up to snuff; it can only cover itself, like how an extremely well made barrel doesn't make up for user error with the rifle).
      • The arrows, meanwhile, are made out of moonlight and are sharp enough to be equivalent to armor piercing...arrows, which don't exist but roll with the simile anyway. Also they probably have mystical qualities to them, meaning they might be able to hit things that can only be hit by magic or that kind of thing.

    • Animal affinity, influence and vaaaaague communication: He can influence animal's actions, and can kind of read how they're feeling by touching them. Can't outright tell them what to do, though. Used to, then his god side got boned right out of his body by fate's bad times stick, and took the greater power of this with it. All animals are predisposed to liking him, on the other hand, and at the least will get a warm comfortable feeling from being around him.

    • Summon ethereal wolves: Luckily for him, he still kept the ability to summon some wolves for himself. They kept him company, helped to form a gentle shining light in the dark along with the general feeling of nature always around him. Besides company, they're also vicious direwolves; not superbly bigger than real ones, but a bit moreso, and faster and stronger. They die pretty quickly though, like real wolves. He can summon two into the field at a time, and has available about a total of 4 at any time. When they die they just retreat into nature to regenerate, which takes about a half an hour or so I'm just going to say (no word on such times in canon unfortunately so I'm rolling with it. Call it my AU element if you really want). Which means he can deploy 2, and when he's all out of the 4 he has to wait at least that long before he can bring the out again. The wolves simply appear out of his own aura and disappear into smokey white when thrashed like the bitches they quite literally are.

    • Stealth field: Once had the ability to go nearly invisible. That got rekt when old man Tatu went to town on his soul like he was on iron chef america whipping up some armani salami, so no longer here.

    • Moonlight aura: He can generate a glowy white moonlight aura around himself. Or it just can leak out on its own if he's stressed. Great for lighting the place up at least. The lava lamp look is very distinctive.

    • Heightened senses: Exactly what it says on the tin. He's got the smell of a bear, the hearing of a deer, the eyes of an eagle...though let it be said that this is also a rather big weakness; being in a sewage infested street forced him to sit down and focus his mind on ignoring it to avoid being incapacitated, and heaven knows what would happen if he caught the brunt of a flashbang.

  • Thor shit:

    • Super strength and super speed: Thanks to Thor helping buff up his body, he not only retains his last season stats but gets a pretty big boost to them. He's a very quick sprinter — I dunno, let's say 60 mph at most, which he can't stop easily at (40 mph is the edge of his speed while retaining his agility)— and has limitless stamina. He's strong enough to catch cars with a hand, is his upper limit there. A couple tons an arm.

    • Super reflexes: not as good as it used to be, but he has extremely good reflexes, which combine with his acrobatics to give him a really bizarre fighting style. His best case is to where he can deflect bullets, though only from the one direction.

    • Super durability: His skin is like, super tough yo. Things made out of steel cannot penetrate him, though specifically armor piercing things and super duper sharp things can.

    • Combat mastery: He's a champion of pretty much any kind of weapon. Thor be good at his job.

    • Immunity to and control of lightning: Lightning won't hurt him, and if he somehow gets blasted by it he can rebound it back. A holdover from when he had the hammer; he doesn't now, so he can't actually call down lightning to attack, he just can reflect it defensively.

  • Passive Powers:

    • Extremely good shot: Also exactly what it says. He's seemingly capable of meeting a modern sniper's abilities with his bow (if he has something to be able to see that far, time to calculate wind direction and his target's movement, etc etc...), and he's just as good with snap shots. It's his main role, really; he's pretty good at melee combat thanks to Thor, but his preference remains the long range bowing.

    • Stealth apptitude: He's capable of moving extremely quietly, and instinctively has a knack for remaining unnoticed. Not really a power, just a skill.

    • Immunity to pathogens: He's immune, as it says, to disease and some poisons. Though magical diseases could test this.

    • Mental protection; he's capable of guarding his thoughts and mind so that the god's can't peak into his head. This has broader functions in that it allowed him to do things like shrugging off Jane's mental-pain-inducting-psychotelepathic-attack, much like Bella was capable of doing to her in that book series. There are exceptions though; he's susceptible to things that are directly physically implanted instead of psychically probed.

    • Savvy instincts: He retains his subdued spider sense-like instincts. Basically it just means that if someone's about to one shot him he'll suddenly have the urge to get out of dodge.

    • Other random effects of his nature: While not really any powers about them, the fact that he's part nature, hunt, virginity, moon, fertility, childbirth, and...hill (that one is always kind of the odd one out) could have some strange effects on certain situations. Who knows what kind of shenanigans could be done with his fertility and childbirth affinities, for example. Not really anything to speak of, outside of shenanigans or from making NPC's who are part of these domains have a personal connection with him, maybe being able to predict the lunar cycle, etc etc small things like that. He's lost a lot of his affinity but still retains a bit of influence.

  • Equipment: Admittedly, quite the holdover from S2

    • Carries around a sword made of stygian iron. It's a dank sword, it's got anti shadow magic and anti necromancy properties, extremely tough to break, and way sharper than anything of human make.

    • A second sword as well, this one of celestial bronze. Also super sharp and great for cutting normal materials, but will pass straight through anything of biological make, or at least of non-magical-organisms make. It can transform into a spear that's also of stygian iron though, so it's not entirely useless in combat.

    • A couple of iron daggers

    • He carries also a hunting bag; in canon it's apparently limitless in storage, but I'm restricting its hammerspace. The cool thing about it is that it's other power is that if the owner doesn't want you to see something in it, you can't, so it's great for hiding crap.

    • Smoke bombs, for when those are useful

    • Has a few net arrows on him still, those shoot arrows that deploy into nets. The nets are made out of celestial bronze interwoven with rope, and are quite a bit harder than steel to break.

    • A handful of explosive arrows remain in his inventory

    • Several pounds of nectar and ambrosia: This shit is basically healing potions. They can recover almost any wound, but the more armani takes, the closer he comes to burning to death from the inside out. He can take a few shots to regenerate normal wounds before burning up, and can regenerate one lethal wound by consuming a whole crapton of it that will leave him unable to take even a drop of more for at least half an hour, the universal cooldown when he hits his healing limit.

    • celestial bronze chainmail with the same consistency as noted above.

  • Non-superpowered abilities:
    • Medical knowledge; since he spent most of his years studying under apollo, he has a very large amount of knowledge in the realm of medicine. While he obviously can't do something like field surgery — no tools, anyway — he'll be able to identify most conditions people can normally develop, IE Dehydration, broken bones, internal bleeding, collapsed organs, concussions, and probably a wide variety of pathogens. He can come up with many field dresses and a decent knowledge of how to deal with any of these, though without proper substances he can't do much outside of theoretical if it requires more than what he can deal with on the spot.

    • Random general book knowledge: Highly book smart. Not sure if this will EVER matter, but I'm putting it here anyway.

Appearance:

Auburn neck length unruly hair, with a few braids hanging over his face and large bangs. He's small in stature, 5' 3". Very toned physique — not bodybuilder, but slim while being very apparently muscular. He's been commented on as being a very pretty young man; like most demigods to their deity-parent he very much resembles Artemis, who's been described as a jaw dropping beauty, and it shows on him, much to his continual annoyance. He's been mistaken for female more than once by the more short-sighted and somewhat cloudy characters; this will hopefully be brought up as a gag in the RP.tongue His features are pretty, but in a very predatory manner; you could cut yourself on the sharp lines of his face, there's no softness to it.

His most striking features are his eyes; pure almost glowing silver the color of a full moon's light, with sprinkles of yellow. Other people's reactions have implied that they're very entrancing, both because they're very beautiful and because they're at the same time unnerving, as there's something very predatory about them in a way that's hard to verbalize but speaks to your instincts. He has a pretty epic glare.

Personality: More or less the same as it was last season

Usually feels perpetually cool, preferring to remain calm and rational. He's usually quite mild mannered, but very blunt and doesn't do wordplay unless he feels there's a use for it, if in the proper situation. Otherwise he'll state things as they are. His sense of humor is somewhat trollish, as he enjoys teasing people immensely, and against people that he doesn't like or his enemies it can get rather vicious, IE advising atlas to lift with his legs, after saying that he could offer him some help. He's one of the most sarcastic demigods in the verse, as well, and his sarcastic rants are legendary. He does have a penchant for getting annoyed somewhat easily, and can be quick to anger. When he is aroused, he's a pretty big drama queen, raving in frustration and outrage about whatever it is that has provoked him, and is prone to overreacting spectacularly. He's very insightful to things such as threats, but cheerily oblivious often with certain social aspects; innocent is probably the best way to describe him. He thought it was a great idea to tell a girl that was feeling rather scorned that he was harboring feelings for a different woman, as he believed 'honesty is always the best policy', and boy did that predictably backfire and he was shocked. He can also be very dense sometimes, especially anything regarding romance. He has absolutely no idea why the different genders change away from one another, for instance. : P

Unlike the rather gray moraled artemis, he has a large well of compassion that he'll usually freely draw from, standing up for those wronged with a fury and doing small things like paying for a hotel's structural damages after a couple of gods tore the place apart so that the owner wouldn't go bankruptnote . He's also got quite a nasty tongue on him for those he dislikes; he takes after artemis very much, and she's never been the most hold-your-tongue-esque goddess in the world, and neither is he. Usually only explicit threats of death that he genuinely feels threatened by will make him be silent.

His tongue isn't quite to silver levels, but he understands how to lead people around in circles. He absolutely hates lying and never will, but is perfectly happy with omissions and other such half truths. He's very good at dodging questions, redirecting attention, and just plain controlling a conversation's flow. This actually is a problem of his; one of his biggest weaknesses is his tendency to run away from problems he has or from taking responsibility, and when pressured will often try and lead people away from the sensitive issues while ignoring them himself.

While much of the above is his 'moon' and 'maidenhood' aspects, the ever calm persona and the innocence, his personality is also massively influenced by his hunter side. He loathes large groups, feeling trapped, oppressive authority, or anything that makes him feel limited in his freedom. He's a free, independent and solitary figure. He doesn't like to be alone, per se, as he enjoys having a small handful of friend with him, but he's definitely introverted and can't stand large groups. This is one of the largest things that keep him away from artemis and her hunters; he wouldn't join if he could, because the thought of spending all his time with 20+ people surrounding him makes him have a panic attack. While he doesn't usually seem bloodthirsty, he comes alive when he's hunting something down, revealing in the kill of whatever he's chasing, the thrill of the danger, the adrenaline of the chase. He's disturbingly cold when on a hunt or in combat; he strikes without emotion or pity very hard and very fast, with no build up or warning and goes straight for their weaknesses, rarely fighting with honor and utilizing whatever resources he has to put the opposition down. He's feared immensely at camp half blood — not only because he's greatly skilled, but because he's absolutely brutal. Most of his spars, unless the opposition is someone like clarisse or percy, end in a couple of seconds with him immediately rushing in, breaking a few of his sparring opponent's bones, dislocating their joints, or — one of his more famous tactics — lifting them into the air with a low attack and cutting them down from above afterwords. Not particularly well loved by the less combat-oriented members who have the bad fortune of meeting him in combat, as he has no mercy generally no matter who the opponent is — though it can be assumed he goes easier on the younger members, at least.

While it should go without saying, as a artemis spirit there are few things he loves more than the wild, forests especially. He doesn't feel at home unless he's embraced by untamed nature; naturally, nature spirits take to him very quickly. His tastes in life are rather simple; once again to use artemis's behavior as a measure, she's known as the goddess who does her best to stay away from olympus and modern troubles, preferring to spend all her days in the forest with choice companions and hardly wants for more in life. Armani doesn't need much else besides what he has; he spends his days away from camp half blood and the troubles of olympian life, and would be fine spending the next century of his endless lifespan living in his home — a condo/temple of artemis tucked far into a corner of the US — with his girlfriend and his makeshift little sister tree spirit, spending all his time hunting. The finer aspects of life — ambition, money, power — are things he just doesn't care about.

He is usually quite loyal to the people he takes as companions. Also, he's a bit of a Momma's Boy; after their rather explosive first meeting, the two make efforts to bond and by now are probably the closest deity — demigod pair on olympus note Her lack of presence all over these years has been devastating to him; his primary motivation in getting back home is to get back to her, as well as his uncle and friends. Also cause he's had quite enough of this crazy train and is starting to seek the brakes.

Armani is VERY sarcastic and is somewhat gloating, and has a tendency to lampshade everything that's even remotely ridiculous about his situation — which, with his life, gives him a lot to deadpan about. The man is very witty at times; his oddball, sometimes cloudcoocoolander sense of humor is one of the most apparent things about him.

  • After the events of S2, Armani is more prone to being moody and introverted, and can become drained very quickly if put into too stressful a situation involving other people. But, he's also more of a warrior poet these days; part of why he's still capable of normally being so serene is due to Thor's influence helping him remain stable despite the chaos of his life. He's more likely to try to play the part of 'older brother' to his comrades around him, and to take charge and lead in situations whereas previously he preferred to stay in the background. More of a team player now.

  • He desperately tries not to let his Thor aspect influence him TOO much; normally he keeps a mental block against the god's memories to remain somewhat separate. But it's definitely changed him, as evidenced above. He sometimes peruses Thor's memories when seeking inspiration or amusement.

  • His Thor side ALSO gave him Libido, which conflicts hilariously with his maidenhood mindset. He's even worse at dealing with girls now than he was last season.

other

  • He's super ageless. Appears 16.

  • One of his greatest fears is of the undead; it offends him on a conceptual level — you hunt something, it freaking stays dead — and gets very nervous when they enter the fray.

Differences from canon:

  • M8 I don't think the canon involved him getting kidnapped by a pair of incompetent space gods, this train has sailed clear off of the AU train, circumvented it, and returned laden with exotic spices.

  • Also uh no clue how a couple of the timings on his mechanics work in canon, such as him needing 30 minutes to regenerate his wolves here vs no info whatsoever in the books. So...that's AU I guess.

Name: Jenny Topside - aka Subject Delta
Age: Technically mid-forties/late-thirties, but due to spending a decade dead before being revived, is really in her mid-thirties/late-twenties if you exclude that.
Appearance: Wears a giant suit. Stands at 7'1" in the suit, resembling a large man. About half a foot shorter outside of it, and she's a tall Nordic-looking woman with black with hint of purple, and a red scrunchie. As a note, the light from her helmet normally glows yellow, though it can be red or green depending on mood.
Universe: Bioshock 2
Personality: Jenny possess a powerful, looming presence that gazes out into the world and understands that she has to do what's needed to survive. Extremely protective of the weak and helpless. Despises slavery, as she was once under a heavy mind control until her daughter and another friend undid the heavy psychological conditioning. When her suit is on and the helmet is in place, she is highly focused and not inclined to talk idly.
Backstory: Jenny was a deep sea diver who accidentally discovered the wonderful underwater utopia of Rapture, which became her new home, and the locals took to calling her "Jenny Topside" due to her being from the surface. At least until she was thrown into prison and subjected to horrific experiments that altered her mind and physiology. On New Years Eve, 1958, Jenny was killed after a crazy blonde woman named Sofia Lamb with whom she was in a "custody battle" with decided to hypnotize her and make her shoot herself in the head. Ten years later, though, her daughter Eleanor managed to use her computer hacking skills to override the steam pipes that controlled the mysterious "Vita Chamber", resurrecting her. After a few days of traveling through the city, which had now been turned into a contested war zone overrun by superpowered drug addicts, she managed to kill Sofia, and rescue her daughter and several other children, but was mortally wounded in the process. As she lay dying, her daughter said she was going to do something to heal her, but she wound up floating in the void and winding up [wherever the RP starts or whatever].
Powers/Abilities/Equipment: Jenny is a skilled combatant, capable of using melee weapons and firearms with expert skill, and able to make quick decisions in the battlefield. She also is a deep sea diver with expertise in that field. As a result of experimentation, Jenny has an extremely powerful and hardy body compared to normal humans. She is about twice as strong, fast, and agile as a bodybuilder, Olympic runner, and gymnast, respectively, able to fight through any pain that she endures, and her mind works fast enough to let her notice and react rapidly to things in a fight. She has several "gene tonics" and "plasmids" that give her slight supernatural boosts, or fantastical powers, respectively. She is skilled enough with weapons and plasmids that she can use one in either hand at the same time. Her plasmids are powered by EVE, which is a substance that allows her to utilize her plasmids. She generally carries enough EVE in the tank in her suit, and generates enough during typical fighting, that running out wouldn't be a problem, however liberal use of her plasmids would cause it to run out faster. EVE can also be restored by drinking non-alcoholic liquids, or taking recreational drugs. She is also an expert hacker... of the obscure steam-based technology of the city she comes from.

  • Gene Tonics
    • Armored Shell makes her more durable, letting her take much more damage than a regular human has any right to.
    • Drill Vampire lets her regenerate a bit of health and EVE when she drills a living creature.
    • Electric Flesh makes her immune to electrical damage
    • Fountain of Youth lets her accelerate how fast her body heals when she is standing in a pool of water, or underwater, as well as generating EVE.
    • Medical Expert lets her use medical tools to restore health.
    • Natural Camouflage causes her, as well as what she is carrying/wearing, to turn invisible when standing still for at least two seconds.
  • Plasmids
    • Cyclone Trap shoots out a mini tornado that remains on the ground as a trap, and which can be combined with other elemental attacks.
    • Decoy spawns a hologram at a location that distracts enemies.
    • Electro Bolt shoots a bolt of lightning at something, or chain lightning if she charges it beforehand.
    • Incinerate shoots a beam of fire at something, with intensity increasing if she charges it beforehand.
    • Insect Swarm: BEES. BEES! NOT THE BEES! spawns bees from her hands which in turn attack people.
    • Scout allows her to project a "ghost" form from her body which she can control.
    • Telekinesis pulls an object towards her and allows it to be thrown with a flick of her wrist. The objects top out at the size of a 3-foot-cube crate, and it only works on non-living things.
    • Winter Blast lets her shoot a cold blast at something, potentially even freezing a person in place if given enough time.
  • Equipment: Jenny has a suit and several weapons.
    • Suit: She wears a suit that resembles a deep-sea diving suit, which is heavily armored to let her survive volleys of attacks, insulated and pressurized with an air tank to let her walk on the ocean floor, and has a mounted drill that can be quickly popped on and off of her right hand for immediate use. The drill is a powerful melee weapon, and is powered by a supply of drill fuel that can let it run for about a minute before it runs out, although even without power it can still do some serious damage when it smacks into people. Electromagnetic dynamos in the drill cause it to deflect metal projectiles when spinning. The other tank on the back carries a large reservoir of EVE. The helmet has a voice modulator that generates loud, grotesque, demoralizing roars that may scare weaker-willed opponents. The suit's gloves have openings on the fingertips and palms designed specifically to accommodate the necessary contact with the environment which Plasmids projectiles require, while the sleeves have IV ports that connect directly to her EVE supply. A camera attached to the top of Subject Delta's helmet allows her allies to watch from her perspective. There's also a pair of lights on the upper chest that can provide illumination even underwater. It also has integrated weapon mounting points that let her store four other guns. The four she has are:
    • Rivet Gun: An accurate gun that does decent damage to targets at a decent fire rate, akin to a battle rifle. It can also be used to put rivets on things, as it is a construction tool.
    • Shotgun: You know what a shotgun does.
    • Spear gun: An enormous weapon, this is Subject Delta's most powerful gun. Firing a lengthy spear projectile with high accuracy, it can punch through thick armor, but fires extremely slow.
    • Machine gun: Essentially a Tommy Gun in a quad-barreled Gatling package, it fires a lot of bullets that have less power and accuracy than her other guns but at a fast pace.
Differences From Canon: Female, able to remove her suit (was never completely clear in canon, only implied due to being able to remove the helmet), didn't wind up "dying" again and being mind-merged into Eleanor, saved the Little Sisters, her vocal cord modulator is in her suit instead of hardwired into her throat, and has a more developed personality. She also only has a few plasmids/tonics instead of 8+18.

[up][up]Aw. Was hoping he'd be in Terminus. Part of the reason I picked Summoner as Jey's class was because of the potential for crossover metaphysical shenanigans, and Armani learning to summon an Artemis-Egi would have been amazing. Instead he gets Dark Jey (signup pending...).
