To be clear, you get random Yiga ambushes after you clear the Yiga Hideout minidungeon and "rescue" the Thunder Helm from their clutches.
But you don't actually get to wear the Thunder Helm yourself until you clear a different sidequest after stopping Vah Naboris.
Yiga ambushes aren't a big deal, though. They're pretty easy to deal with, and only seem to spawn around roads; never had them ambush me while wandering the desert, or snowy mountains, or anywhere else off the beaten path.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! So, could you defeat any Blademasters in the hideout?
Wake me up at your own risk.
So they won't be a thing while I'm dealing with some Guardians or Lynels then? Good to hear.
But I did hear someone got jumped by them while farming Dragon Parts. Like I said, that's something I'm trying to avoid.
One Strip! One Strip!I killed them all myself. It was fun.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! The mission went with me starting by trying to sneak around them, fucking up, and then killing everyone inside
good times
"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaeFull Sheikah armour is your friend. It's rather poetic, bringing down the renegades while clad in the garb of the loyalists. For that reason, I made a point of staying in full Sheikah gear when I fought Mastr Kohga.

Ukrainian Red CrossThe Yiga Blademasters? I killed the ones that spawned in the first part - there's a certain distance that you can stand where they'll just approach instead of trying to teleport right on top of you or swing at you. If you can find that distance and bunch them together, they're quite doable (mostly with judicious headshots). I suppose it's theoretically possible against the big room of Yiga, but kudos to anyone with the combination of elan and skill able to pull it off.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.Or Blizzard rod to freeze them en masse so you can engage them individually, as I saw done in one video I watched ages ago.
(Me, I just sneaked around, though one time I accidentally hit the horse whistle and drew attention to myself, I used an Ancient Arrow on the guard to zap him before he could sound the alarm. Can't whistle for help if you're completely vaporized in one hit. )
All your safe space are belong to TrumpHell yeah. Just got that scale from Farosh (though I didn't use the method from Reddit, but I'll try that later once I start seriously farming).
Now it's time for Dinraal. Someone mentioned going to Great Tabantha Bridge at 5:00am. I tried that, but he wasn't there (though I was a little late and it was raining, which I suspect would have some affect).
Anyway, I need a place where I'll be able to easily grab the scale afterwards too, so any assistance on that would be nice. Once I've done this, I'll make my way to the Gerudo desert.
One Strip! One Strip! The nice thing about the Tabantha Bridge is with a stable right there, if you miss the dragon you can sleep until the next morning and try again. And the canyon limits the possibilities for where the scale can fall; you can mark where it lands (on either wall or the canyon floor) and glide there from the bridge.
I see. Then I must have been there either at the wrong time, or because it was raining.
He's supposed to come at 5:00am right?
One Strip! One Strip!@Nohbody: Even going in with freezing weapons (I assume, with sufficient stealth, the freezing melee weapons are equally solid options), you still need a certain level of verve and skill to pull it off. Perhaps a bit easier, but you still have to have a really solid grasp of the guard rotations and the right combination of skills and equipment.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster. The video was after the guards had been alerted, so they were all coming to attack. The video maker (I forget who, offhand) wasn't taking them out der schneaky vay.
All your safe space are belong to TrumpAlright. I took care of Dinraal's scale as well.
I got only one Shrine quest left: Cliffside Etchings.
The thing is...that is a long trip, and it looks like there's a lot of goons in between me and the top of the cliff.
I was able to get my hands on a treasure chest with a radiant shield however, but I didn't get too far in the end.
Debating where I want to keep trying and get an even 14 spirit orbs before I buff my health, or give it up and head into the desert proper and hope to find a normal one.
One Strip! One Strip!Ugh, that was an annoying one. I think I approached it from the desert side, over the tops of the highlands, since I explored every inch of them.
Just off the top of my head, there are three normal shrines on the road to the desert (including one by a stable), and one shrine quest. That’s before you even get out to the sands.

You can also distract the Yiga guards by dropping bananas. They won't ignore you in favour of bananas, but you can lure them into a place where you can snipe them.
Ukrainian Red CrossThere's a shine in or near every town and stable in the game fwiw
Heart of StoneYeah, I know there are shrines at towns and stables, but I still kinda want to finish this one before I head there since it's the only shrine quest I have left and all (at least right now).
Still, it looks like an annoyingly long slog. I may just work on other things instead and then get to the Gerudos.
I can just stop and take care of side quests again once I've gotten the stables there and the like.
One Strip! One Strip!Since that particular quest requires you to go to the Gerudo Highlands, and once you meet the Gerudos they will also send you to the Highlands, you may as well go to the desert first.
Double Post:
I made my way into the desert, or at least tried to, but got stopped just after meeting a dude who wanted to borrow my horse (which I didn't give him, but I might go back and give him one of my untrained horses) by some rocks forcing me to get off.
I never got far enough to worry about the heat because I went back. This is mainly because I came across some Bokoblins on horses with Arrows (one of which was silver) and I realize I'm not very good at fighting on horseback. I need to find that place where you learn to do that.
I also missed the tower on the way there, so I need to do that too, though it looks like it's hard to actually get to.
The desert seems like it'll be fun.
One Strip! One Strip! That guy doesn’t borrow your horse. You give it to him. You don’t get it back.
Right. I mean give. At least he pays me though.
Like I said I'll give him a lesser horse so I can make room.
Anyway, I need to completely re-analyze how I'm going to go through the Desert, and how I'll get to the tower.

One Strip! One Strip! It doesn't even need to be a registered horse. You can steal one from those Bokoblins you mentioned and give it to him without going to a stable first.

I see. Then I should work on getting the last piece of the rubber set. I think I'll put that on my to do list as well.
