One thing I just learned looking for Stealthfin Trout to get the final upgrades for the Sheikah Set is to wear one piece of Shiekah armor for stealth, and two pieces of Zora armor for swim speed. (Or use some stealth food and swimming armor in combo.) It's the ideal mix for swimming right up to fish and grabbing them before they run away, without needing to bomb them or lure them with food or do something else fancy.
That IS unnecessarily fancy though. Just Ice block the lake or river your on and hop from block to block and dive in on top of them. Wear whatever you like.
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youI really built my stamina wheels, so I usually just went in with the full Sheikah suit (which, to be honest, is what I generally wore if weather wasn't an issue), leisurely swam up to the fish, and just yoinked them out of the water.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.Shock arrows. Shock arrows for days.
Yeah, I'm lazy.
I just use bombs like a hick.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! This right here is the beauty of BotW. There's no one way to do things; everyone has their own methods.
Switch FC code: SW-4420-1809-1805Decided to kill some time by going back to Master Mode. Recently did Eventide, which is really tricky when enemies can regenerate health. Bashing the Bokoblins near the top of the island is a bad idea since they have too much health for my meager weapons. But they need to be gone to have easy access to the orb pedestal. Then I stumbled upon a way to get rid of them easier. Lure them to the narrow part of the cliff on the side of the hill and bomb them off to the sea. Worked surprisingly well.

So, how do you guys go about killing Lynels?
Wake me up at your own risk.Shoot them in the face, get on their back, and bash away for damage with your strongest weapon (as this is the only time that it doesn't degrade weapon durability). If you still have stamina left after they shake you off, shoot them in the back of the head a few more times.
Don't try to fight them from too far a distance. If they take out their bow, rush in close. Lynels are better archers than you.
Beyond that, it's really down to what they're wielding. Sword-and-board Lynels are really easy to consistently dodge and flurry rush. Crusher-wielding ones hit like freight trains, so run if they're about to perform a spin attack. Spear-wielding ones like to jump, and cause shockwaves on landing.
Switch FC code: SW-4420-1809-1805Oh, also, Lynels with hammers can lock on, and jumping won't save you due to the MASSIVE area of effect they can do. Hope you've been practicing that Perfect Parry
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youUse bomb arrows if possible. If you have Urbosa's Fury it's even better about stunning them so you can climb on and smack them. When they put their weapon away to charge barehanded, that's the easiest time to side-dodge and Flurry Rush. They're very nice about setting the grass on fire so you can use updrafts for bullet-time aiming.
I agree, the crusher lynels are literally the worst ones in terms of damage output and ability to dodge and parry. They're murder you quick. If I had to pick a lynel type that was the easiest of the bunch to manage, it'd be the spear wielding ones. they literally have no close range melee attacks outside of their dashing rush. They'll always hop back to gain some distance.

It's always middle distance too. The perfect distance to put an arrow in his face.
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youYou will break at least one weapon, so you might as well make it the Master Sword if you have it.
Regarding Lynel archers mentioned above, they cheat. They can see through solid walls, and their arrows will even go through a ceiling over your head to hit you (personal experience in the Colosseum, where I flubbed my "sniping from the shadows" routine; 30 arrows to the head from an Ancient Bow, while wearing Ancient Armor at L2 or higher for the Ancient Proficiency buff of +80% damage with Ancient/Guardian weapons, for the curious).
All your safe space are belong to TrumpWear armor with elemental resistances if you plan on bow dueling a Lynel. Not that I'd recommend that even then. Remember that Lynel bows are shotguns.
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youWait a minute. How did that Lynel shoot those trees full of electric arrows that you can then collect? Elemental arrows explicitly break on impact. So how did that lynel shoot up some trees with them?
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youThe only answer I can think of is because it wanted to.
One Strip! One Strip!Because the quest would be impossible otherwise.
Qui odoratus est qui fecit.Like I said: Lynels are better archers than you.
Switch FC code: SW-4420-1809-1805Calamity Ganon is dumb on Master Mode. Long invincibility periods + quick regenerating health if not fun to deal with. Not that bad if he starts at low health, but rushing to him at the beginning of the game must make him a nightmare.
Your preferences are not everyone else's preferences. So, out of all the allies to fight the Beasts with, which one is your favorite?
Wake me up at your own risk.I like the Rito warrior. Instead of just giving you an ride or just being in the way, at least he's actually risking his life instead of being in the way.
Plus, the music that plays during that segment is awesome.
Answer no master, never the slave Carry your dreams down into the grave Every heart, like every soul, equal to break
Honestly though just start grabbing fish.
Ohhhh ohh, look for TINY waterfalls. You know that thing carp are famous for leaping? I dunno if bass do the same thing, but I KNOW I've seen SOME sort of fish attempting to leap those.
