So I'm done running around like a chicken with its head cut off looking for shrines. Now time to run around like a chicken with its head cut off looking for upgrade materials, which requires, among many other things, killing at least ten Lynels and Hylia only knows how long it's going to take me to get all the Star Fragments I'm going to need.
And yeah, I don't actually HAVE to upgrade every piece of upgradeable armor, but if I don't then the game wins. And I'll be damned if I'm going to let a bunch of 1s and 0s get the best of me.
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!Talus enemies are FANTASTIC mining opportunities. Better than traditional mining ore deposits. I highly recommend seeking them out and farming gemstones from them.
Also, to get money fast, I've discovered making elixirs you don't need out of simple and easy to catch ingredients can get you anywhere from 200-400 rupees a pop.
...I don't use the speed elixirs all that much to be honest.
Maybe sometimes, but most of the time I don't bother. Thanks for the tip.
One Strip! One Strip!Daruk's Protection cooldown is only about, what, 10 minutes? Compared to Mipha's Grace being 30 minutes. So don't hesitate to use it!
I also sell food/elixirs for money. It's amazing how many rupees some of those recipes go for, and half the time, they're not what I like to have on hand anyway.
All of the Champion's Blessings are some form of Game-Breaker (except Mipha's Grace if you're death-prone), and all recharge reasonably fast. Do not hesitate to use them when necessary.
I find Falco's Gale to be the most useful for just exploring, personally, and Daruk's protection reflects guardian lasers, so it's useful to have if you're learning how to parry them. The best shield to have for that, though, is the Hylian Shield, because being frame-late doesn't mean the shield breaks, and being frame-early only results in a few lost hearts.
Qui odoratus est qui fecit. Is there some trick to getting Octorok Eyeballs. I've killed like a bajillion of them and not having much luck.
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!I'm pretty sure those things are rare, but not as rare as those Ancient Cores.
Answer no master, never the slave Carry your dreams down into the grave Every heart, like every soul, equal to breakHell Yeah! I not only got the Ancient Armour, but I was able to immediately upgrade it by two stars. Whooo!
Now it's time for that break from Zelda while I go back to Xenoblade. It'll be a while before you guys hear about my progress in this game again...
...but I do have one question: What's Ancient Proficiency (sp) exactly?

One Strip! One Strip!Reduces damage from Guardians. The laser spiders.
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders! That's Ancient Resistance, Ancient Proficiency increases the damage dealt by ancient and guardian weapons by 80%.
you're still not invulnerable, and they can still stagger and ragdoll you. don't drop your guard. Continue to use cover, or if you've learned to perfect parry, do that.
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youRight. gotta keep a cool head.
It is nice to know I can dish out more pain to them however.
One Strip! One Strip!with full Ancient armor and proficiency, you'll make mincemeat out of anything of those Guardian type enemies. The only ones left who would give you 'any' amount of trouble, are still the damn Skywatchers.
Does anyone know what this entry from the game's work page is on about?
"The very first tree you can climb once you start the game has the exact height to reach the top with a full stamina wheel. If you happen to fall by accident, you will take two and a half hearts of damage, which is just enough to not kill you."
Not only do the trees outside the Shrine of Resurrection only take half a stamina wheel to climb, but falling from the top of them won't even hurt you, much less leave you with exactly half a heart.

I'll hunt around tonight to try and find it.
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youGuys, they were right. It's the tree marked by the little "V" symbol. That tree right there, if you climb it without jumping, will let you just barely reach the top with one full stamina wheel. If you leap off of it by pressing "y", you will lose two and a half hearts fall damage.
I don't know if that's by design or just incredibly serendipitous, but that's actually pretty cool either way.
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youThat link doesn't work. But either way, I'm skeptical you're linking to an image of a tree even closer to the start of the game than the ones right outside the Shrine of Resurrection.
It's literally like, the third one to the right right outside the gate. Also, try now. I've changed the privacy settings.
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youFriendly reminder, if you're sneaky, you can hop on top of Guardian Stalkers' "heads" and, by moving away from the direction you want to go due to their programming for trying to get the fuck away from you, you can use them as exotic, robotic murder-horses.
Qui odoratus est qui fecit. What's the best way to accomplish that maneuver? Float down from above? 'Cause I'd love to try it.
Probably, yes, though I've not tried it myself.
In general the monster AI seems to have issues aiming at you when you're paragliding, as long as you're not just sitting still and gradually sinking down.
All your safe space are belong to Trump
Daruk's Protection regenerates pretty quickly compared to Mipha's Grace, at least.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!
