We Have All Been Genderflipped 2.0

What it is now is that the title is basically an artifact title. You're strongly encouraged to play a character of the opposite gender of yourself, but your character doesn't actually have to genderflip in-universe (and in fact shouldn't unless you can justify it). So, in other words, you can just make your character have been female the whole time and it would work just fine.

Mind if I think for a bit? That does kind of mess with the original draw of the RP to me.

Eh...I know I really should be here because I was on the original game, but I'm just not feeling it. Sorry.

Name: Dave Blackman
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Species: Human
Personality: Autistic (like me, since I don't know how a normal person acts), a very bright man who loves to find the good in everything, even if there is none - which can potentially be bad since he'll go past others' limits. He succeeds expectations for IQ, though cannot express it correctly through his actions. Very introverted and anxious, but is working on it as much as possible. Loves food a lot, tends ti excessively talk about things people don't care about
Appearance: Short black hair, a mid-olive skin tone, and hazel eyes. Has a scar on his nose. Not extremely tall, just around 5'4", which is shorter than average. Very defined face, slightly muscular chest.
Backstory: When he was little, he was playing with a mirror, and it shattered on him - which is how he got the nose scar. There was always something different about him. Wasn't able to walk or talk until 3. He had therapists talking to his parents, but they couldn't find anything wrong with him. Anyways, schools he always was good, until high school came - 9th grade, his brain stopped developing, since it did that ahead of time. Since the sudden stop, everything seemed different and he couldn't get through as well as he used to be able to. He had some tragic events with his father (abuse) and developed PTSD. People in 9th grade would bully him to no end, so badly he had to see a therapist. His mother, after school, did not let him go to college.
Strengths: Heightened senses, all of them (again, so do I). Excels in creativity and IQ, and being able to build things. Also took tae kwon do for a period of time.
Weaknesses: Sensory overload, phobia of needles and blood, and mild to severe anger issues.
Abilities: Well, nothing too great but I mean he kinda changes demonic when he gets mad, like slight appearance changes such as horns and ashen skin and red eyes. That's about it.
Miscellaneous information: (N/A)
Equipment: a backpack full of food, sketchbook and pencil, and headphones. Some little scraps in that backpack as well, because he's prepared for when he's bored and wants to build something small or something

Figured since I was a big part of the beginning of the first RP....

Been working on this way too long, I know the backstory is kind of short but normaly I develop those though play rather then.....

• Name: Imuka Yukimura
• Age: 21
• Gender: Female
• Species: Kistune
• Personality: Kind of meek and shy to interact Imuka no less likes to be around people, and is in fact quite afraid of being alone, she has a natural affinity for working with machines, and is very adverse to spiders.
• Appearance: Small frame, short height, with long white hair, her ears and tail both have black trim, blue eyes... something like this◊, although she more often wears elaboratly styled dresses like this◊
• Backstory: Born to the Yukimura clan of kitsune Imuka never quite fit in with the rest of her clan, more interested in tech and constructs then the magic foxes are known for. As such she has been.... Very close to humans, distancing herself from her clan in general. Currently residing in the US to attend Caltech, she got lost on the way to comicon.
• Strengths: Sensitive hearing, Very accurate, Good with tech.
• Weaknesses: Unable to see color, her sensitive hearing is as much of a downside as it is a plus... posses navigational capabilities of getting lost in a backyard (without aide from a phone)
• Abilities: Being a kitsune she is capable of shifting her own appearance yup.
• Miscellaneous information: I dont even know what would go here....
• . Equipment: Well multiple dresses, family katana, high end laptop with lots of games, a quadracopter drone, and a high end cellphone.

SSSSSSSSSSOOOOOOOOOOO...I'd like to join this RP myself. Why?

Well, I want to become a writer so I figured I might as well get some practice here. I've also made up a absolute SLEW of characters that are just lying there with no story so I might as well use some them here. Honestly, I want to try to develop some of the characters I've made and haven't done anything with and I figured, why not here?

Just want to get a few things clear here:

1. So the character I use is the opposite sex of my IRL sex? I'm male so I make a female character? Or is the character supposed to be my sex too and he gets genderflipped through events in the RP or in the backstory?

2. Can you please tell me what has happened in this RP so far and how I may include my character in events so far?

3. What kind of mythology or creatures are in this RP or are allowed?

Hey Fredhot!

1. The former, although the later is possible should that be the what you wish to do. We like giving people options wherever possible.

2. Not too much has happened that can really be tied into, things have moved a tad slowly so we're still in the startup phase. All that's really happened is the characters have, one way or another, found their way to a mansion on the outskirts of a small town in Oregon.

3. Within reason, anything. The mythological characters here draw from a wide variety of mythologies, we're not restricting the options to only certain ones. The ones that I know are directly drawn from right now are Japanese, Celtic, Norse, and a few other mythological beings that I'm not sure the direct origin of but are in the public consciousness.

1. Can I play two or more characters or just one character?

we did allow someone to play a set of twins when we were getting things running but i can't tell you what sort of issues that might bring to the table since i haven't seen that player for about six months now. in the past, every acceptance has been on a case-by-case basis, so it would heavily depend on what you were thinking of doing with more than one character. in any case, i'd ask that you stick to two characters at most since more than that can get really crazy quickly.

Name: Nari Yo Age: 20 Gender: Female Species: Kitsune Personality: Is really into technology, and anime, and has a fondness for learning about japan, though she's never been there. Really smart, but prone to random bouts of shyness, is trying to work on that. Backstory: He's from a middle class family had a rough time in high school, due three things that really stacked the deck agist him, He's is an introvert, has aspergers, and is not remotely atheltic. After high school, he went to college for Web design. Found the clases on topic easy general classes where hit and miss. one day when he was in the park, looking for a out of the way place to fly his drone he he stumbled accross a kitsune in her full fox form. thinking it was quite amazing to see a fox he tried to get closer but that got him pulled into a battle she was fighting. He managed to help the kitsune win but he got hurt badly in the process, to thank him for saving her she did what she could to save him, this ended up turning him into a kitsune as well. the Other kitsune helped her get back to a human form, and left. She tried to follow the other kitsune, but wasn't skilled enough to keep up, when she got back to school she was relived to know her Id's and such changed with her, everyone she wanted to reconize her still did. so now she's got these powers she's not at all fimular with. acidently burned down a garden shed when she was trying to experment to see if she could use her new magic to do somthing to pice of wood she pulled out. and well insted of just affecting the wood she shot out a collumn of flame like a flamethrower and lit bouth the wood and the shed. This is when she also found out about her heat endurance as it odly didn't feel hot beeing near the burning shed. when she failed to put out the fire she was able to get all the stuff inside out before it burned. She's working on getting money to pay them back for the shed. Strengths: good at electronics in general, and even better with computers, is good at mediating disputes between friends. Weaknesses: a bit shy at times, doesn't allway catch social cues, can get overwhelmed if having to talk with a large group, does need some alone time every so often. Has rather limited knowedge of her Kitsune abilitys or how to use them, Also is more sensitive to the cold then a normal person. Abilities: really strong heat endurance [can handle crazy hot tempeture easily, verry hard to burn],magic flamethrower Miscellaneous information: only shy arround people she doesn't know, is working on that. while daydre is correct that the 2.0 version has closed down are you referring to the original thread? if so i'd be happy to look over your sheet.

I wasn't to sure on what the difference are between the two versions. are. but the char is basically me. up to the point where I run into the kitsune, As before I'm a human male and that is the reason I got gender swapped and given magic powers. and then it's me in that new situation.

so if there is a rp of some kind still going on, I'd like to get into it. So yea for the original (I hope) I can always revise it as needed.
