Alright, I'll start things off with...
'Boss Wolf', eh? I want to know more about this guy. He looks intriguing.
Oh, joy of joys, we're barely six posts in and already folks are getting ninja'd.
Basically, yes; he's literally a stock photo I edited in MS Paint. I can't remember what exactly inspired it, but it's a show or comic concept I had. The Pitch
Meanwhile, that is the sentient divine essence of Art, as depicted in the most hard-to-get ending of The Stanley Parable. Just watch this video, and everything will make sense. Barely.

"Terrence Two"- You always play this character but I don't know where he's from. Was he just a stock photo that you made up a personality for? Either way, it was pretty cool.
I dunno, actually. I just snapped a picture of a really pretty looking teacup I saw at Home Goods, and, tada, an original avatar!

Whats so special about this cup?
I actually don't know. I saw it on Hideki Naganuma's Twitter and thought it was pretty funny.

What the fuck is that?!
That, my obscure-animation-loving friend, is the forehead of Jack Douglass, a youtuber known for is disgustingly massive forehead. Thus the file's name, "The Monolith."

Absolutely.
i bet the avatars that are soviet cartoons are going to be picked
Frank R. Paul's version of a Saturnian, one pictured on the picture of a Saturnian city, Crisium, constructed in the crater of a vast volcano, heated by geysers and inhabited by weird spider people.
◊ A better view.

Who is this ghostly-looking cat/fox girl?
It's a character that I created on MS Paint. He's supposed to be a Non-Ironic Clown puma, but unfortunately, some tropers still think he's creepy.
edited 24th May '16 9:18:51 AM by DrNoPuma
Oh, that's Kyubey, humanized.
What is this?
Oh, that's just Frank R. Paul.
The avatar itself is a Jovian,
whose city has the glorious GOD-EMPEROR OF SHARKMEN STATUE.

Neat artstyle, whats the source?
Christiane Génessier, from Eyes Without a Face.

What's this creepy thing?
that is Beth and Jerry from Rick and Morty, more specifically what they view each other as.

The one on the right seems familiar, but who are these two?
T.W. Barker from Sonic Boom. He's a Repulsive Ringmaster, which not only ties in to the fact that I like circus-related stuff, but it's also a trope I created. Also, he's a wolf. See the first post.

Who is it?
That, my friend, is Stu Pidface, a GMod monstrosity created by somebody as part of a fad. He's able to do pretty much anything as long as it's funny.

AH! AH! AH!
You bet it is!

Is this The Room?
Maisie, from The Brave Little Toaster to the Rescue. One of the pet animals who lives at the Younger Master's room. Has three kids.

Who is this? It looks like a gender-swapped version of Duchess.
That's Urpgor from The Dreamstone. I like his Deranged Animation and the fact that he's a Mad Scientist.

Please, answers. please.
As previously mentioned, that's the forehead of Jack Douglass. He's known for having the planet's biggest forehead.

...why?
Robots from RWBY. I used them as mooks in an avatar RP.
edited 24th May '16 11:55:28 AM by TooManyIdeas
This is not something I'm aware of.

I already know that most of your avatars are of obscure origins, but this is... something else.
That's something I drew myself, exposing my terrible art skills for all to see. He's supposed to be Alex (my favourite Street Fighter character) if he lived in Zootopia. For reference, this is what Alex normally looks like.

Cool lion. Who is he?
The Great Fusilli from his self-titled episode of Courage the Cowardly Dog. Creepy Awesome as #$&%. Just look at this
!

This. Who is this and what is he from?
Yeah, that's about as obscure as it gets. He's Cag, from an RPG I'm trying to make.

??????
MC Ride, rapper and frontman for Death Grips. He acts crazy on stage but is actually very quiet in interviews. Specific image comes from this music video.

Who is this guy?
Next Page: I just simply like how affable the mailman is in that picture when he tells people that he's psychotic. And able to keep it all in a calm face.

Have you ever looked through another troper's avatar gallery and wondered "What is this particular avatar? Why does this troper have it in his/her gallery?" This game is meant to answer those questions.
Here's how it works: You choose an avatar from the above gallery that confuses you. Maybe you don't even know who or what it is, or maybe you just don't understand why anyone would want it as an avatar.
Then, the person above you edits their post, and starting with a down arrow (
), gives a brief explanation of what the avatar is and why they have it in their gallery.
It will be easier to demonstrate when someone replies to this post.
One rule: Only one avatar per post!
