The Trope Games, season 23! Unfortunately, Azir and Xerath didn't make it in because there's one team that filled the last two slots (Ichigo's). Azir and Xerath should be saved for season 24, though.

• Bloodbath
  • Lots of people arming up! In particular, Ratchet and Varrick get weapons they're not particularly familiar with for some reason.
  • Kojima scares an alien overlord away. Probably because he has that Pyramid Head aura around him.
  • I guess a tome of light just can't match the strength of an ancient king.
  • For most everyone else, they simply distance themselves from the chaos.
• Day 1
  • A most unusual hunting party, led by Momiji.
  • Why and how does a magical book take a bath?!
  • Cure Muse is being unusually merciful today.
  • Heat Man thinks Luigi/Lightning is this season's OTP.
• Deaths in order: none

Yes, this season does drag on for about an in-game week. There is an arena event, though.

Frankly, I'm surprised the Light Prognosticus put up a struggle for that bag. What, was it just on top of it? Is the Light Prognosticus really that big of a Door Stopper?

First it was trains dying from tracker jacker stings and hypothermia, now it's bathing books.

I keep thinking it should be 'tracker jackets'... is it actually 'jacker'?

One does not simply fight the Ultimate Sadistic Creature for a bag.

You see, the Dark Prognosticus has to take baths every century or so because some punks think it's funny to draw penises on all of the pages, and that only comes off with water.

The ink doesn't come off because it's actually a special blend made with pure darkness and the blood of the innocent.

  • Talion tries to snipe an unicorn - but alas, what he bagged was a magical girl instead.
  • That's a very weird pairing...
  • CATS, organizing a slumber party? Really?
  • Why and how does a tome of magic sleep?!
  • Dorothy Ann tries to convince Hooker to commit infanticide.
  • Luigi can't sleep alone, I guess.
• Day 2
  • Kamiya considers Yuuka as inspiration for his newest game.
  • A chicken-mask wearing man, two magical tomes who are diametrically opposed to each other, a bookworm unicorn who would love to have the aforementioned tomes in her library, and a zombie apocalypse survivor play a children's card game...
  • Kojima, you sly bastard.
• Deaths in order: Cure Muse

Playing poker against books that predict the future is the worst idea I've heard yet.

We'll speed up a bit, because this season really is quite long for a size-24 game.

  • Lightning refuses to kill a child.
  • Clank attempts some maintenance.^note I just realized I used the wrong gender pronoun for him. My bad.
  • Kojima bonds with Momiji, while Kamiya leads a sing-along. Well, considering their respective jobs, they are supposed to create some fun...
  • CATS and Hooker...these just keep getting weirder and weirder.
  • Cure Beat shows her power, non-fatally. That's...unusual.
• Day 3◊
  • Lightning gets the Super Vegito treatment from Clank.
  • You really shouldn't expect for a benevolent tome of light to kill you even if you asked for it.
  • Really, Kamiya? Luigi and Heat Man? Really?
  • Ratchet gathers some unlikely allies for a hunt.
  • The pages of AZ's diary must have yellowed from age by now.
• Night 3◊
  • Another slumber party, this time organized by Jacket.
  • Why and how does a tome of magic climb a tree?!
  • Even alien overlords still need to hydrate after all. It's basic biology, CATS.
  • Twilight uses her magic force to keep her bonfire 'sterile'.
  • Luigi misses his brother.
• Day 4◊
  • Fluttershy sends in medical supplies for Twilight.
  • AZ bathes along with two kids...no, wait, it's not what you think it is! Really!
  • Why and how does a tome of magic steal from a person?!
  • Varrick finds some "business partners" to "buy assets" from Talion's camp.
  • Honey writes a shipping fic while high as a kite.
  • Michonne strongly disapproves of prostitution.
• Deaths in order: Lightning Farron, CATS, Hooker

Oh boy, hoping for a Roaring Rampage of Revenge by Jacket.

Really, I think the biggest question is how the Prognostici are locomoting.

I think they might just be I Am Bread-ing around everywhere. Complete with flapping their pages in order to fly.

Truly a fine example of a Cargo Ship.

"My prose isn't nearly as flowery as it should be to suit your tastes," appeared the words in the Dark Prognosticus.

"Oh, but it is..."

Okay, never mind, I can't do it. I can't write something that dumb.

Seeing as we've had trains and books entered thus far, I'm kinda tempted to nominate a few starships at some point just to see what would happen.

Poor Hooker. It really wasn't her choice you know, and she was getting better.

I also bet Jacket's gonna get pissed.

  • The Light Prognosticus holds off a very enthusiastic reader.
  • Michonne takes Kamiya in. Okay...
  • Clank doesn't realize there's no respawning here.
  • Cure Beat continues to non-lethally rack up wins. Pacifist run, anyone?
  • Jacket plans some revenge while talking with Heat Man and Yuuka.
  • Honey finally manages to do what time and nature has failed to do.
• Day 5◊
  • Yuuka took a liking to AZ, it appears.
  • ..and in return, Kamiya becomes Michonne's medic for the day.
  • I imagine the bush that Heat Man hid in would go up in flames very quickly, thus rendering it ineffective.
  • A game designer chases a magical girl...
• Deaths in order: Clank, AZ

So, Dorothy Ann somehow managed to defeat Talion, an experienced ranger of Gondor who's bound to an elven spirit, in a fight... What I wanna know is how she could've pulled that off.

It sure has gotten quiet in this thread... Too quiet, if you ask me...

Aaaand it looks like Kojima played Michonne like a damn fiddle. Oh, well, at least she got a couple good kills in, and I like to imagine that she didn't go down without a fight.
