How is this a reboot if it's starring Danny's sister? That's a spin off.

[up][up] It's a franchise reboot, not a Continuity Reboot. You can have the former without the latter. I don't think anyone doesn't consider 'Film.Mission Impossible a reboot, even though it's not a Continuity Reboot.

Spinoff doesn't feel right either since Danny's sister... didn't super exist.

Ooh, also, Helen Mirren. She was awesome in Red.

...At this point, I'm not sure if I want a cast for female-led Ocean's 11 or female-led Expendables. [lol]

Shouldn't Lucy Liu be playing Yin's role?

Shouldn't Sandra Bullock be the actual leader? Since she's also attached to the role. tongue

I wonder if Julia Roberts will make an appearance again?

Just use the same gag but with Jlaw. The real Jlaw can be disposed of by tripping her down some stairs.

If the antagonists also decide to have female muscle, I'd really love Ronda Rousey, like in Furious 7.

I always hated how evenly matched the fight was. Mechanic my ass, her character should have folded Michelle Rodriguez's character in half in three seconds. [lol]

Agreed.

But I'd rather not see her again, honestly. The Expendables 3 left a sour taste in my mouth about her, which I suppose is a bit unfair but I really don't want to see her come back. Now, Gina Carano? After Deadpool? I'd be happy to see more of her.

Sofia Boutella from Kingsman could also do a pretty fine job.

So, a female-led reboot that people here are actually kinda excited to see?

Why not? It's a relevant question.

Like a bunch of people have already said, Ghostbusters was never a Sacred Cow of nerddom before the news of the female-led reboot came out. Then it suddenly became "the funniest movie of all time, starring Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis."

So let's see and run the numbers, and see if all the actresses I think would be great does fit 11.

  • Sandra Bullock
  • Julia Roberts
  • Ronda Rousey
  • Mila Jovovich
  • Jennifer Lawrence
  • Emily Blunt
  • Uma Therman (Not that she would be able to make it, but hey)
  • Helen Mirren
  • Melissa Mc Carthy (Not exactly great, but I wouldn't mind her)

Hmm. Taraji Henson and Amy Acker from Person of Interest, I would like to see them as well.

Then again, I'm not sure if there will be exactly the same 11 assigned roles as in 2001 or original, or have whole new ones.

Because you can't have too many muscles, to start with. XP

Let's not bring in the Ghostbusters reboot in here, please. I only made my earlier comment as a joke that I admittedly should've marked with Joking Mode.
