There is also Amon which is the name of both an Egyptian god and a demon of the Ars Goetia, which we kind of see in Camelot. Christianity back in the day had a track record of making other gods into demons and whatnot.

My favorite example of the demonization thing is Beelzebub, whose name means Lord of the Flies. Because it may have been a pun on the name Ba'al Zebul, which means Lord of the Manor. Witness how I have deconstructed your name into an insult!
And just to drive home how much the Romans did this shit, besides being Hermes and Thoth Mercury was also Odin and the Irish Lugh, god of having max skill ranks in everything. Heck, one of the reasons the empire considered the Jews such a pain is that they wouldn't go along with the idea that their god was Jupiter under an alias.

You think syncretism is weird, look up the Proto-Indo-European religion sometime (what little we know about it). Long story short, there's a believable-ish argument to be made that Susanoo and Thor descend from the same religious figure, and so do Izanagi and Orpheus. There's even a Celtic sky god with some similarities to Zeus, all because the PIE religion spread across greater Asia.

So it seems that what happened with whole Nyarly thing is that when BB was setting up whole ServanFest, she got curious just how good Chaldea's celestial body observation is so she went into the Hawaiian branch and used their telescope to observe space and came across the whole "stare into the abyss and the abyss stares back", and ended up synching up with a devil from outer space. Also even though she got synched up, she wasn't overwritten, which is why she is still MoonCancer.

This summer event feels a bit weird due to the length of it, I've been grinding a fair bit over the last 2 days and I'm sitting at 400K in one set of points.

They're derived from specific beings. The Twelve Pillars were the Ayylmaos that became the Olympians/Romans who are their incarnations/Bunreis.
There were native Gods alongside the Twelve Pillars, but most were butchered by Altera.
