I am steadily being driven mad by every line of dialogue that extends over two lines. I read faster than it scrolls but if you press to skip the scrolling then the log is needed because it skips right to the end... and there's so much reading in this. What purgatory have I fallen into?

That doesn't help the problem, which is that I read faster than the text scrolls on screen and your choice is: A) read to end of scrolling, or B) skip to end of dialogue line, even though that is often longer than the visible text box.

It's the name of a CE called "Fragments of 2030".
The bloke there collected 2030 SQ Fragments for the sake of the pun.
He'll spend the following year using a straight jacket, but at least he won't catch COVID.

For one, the name of the CE is "Fragments of 2030," which is one of the best CEs in the game for crit teams. The player amassed 2030 SQ fragments, and labelled it as Fragments of 2030 for a bait and switch. The reason the joke is so great is because it takes two and a half years to collect that many fragments. It's a long con of a joke.

@Muffins My opinion of Gotterdamerung is basically meh, outside of a few moments. It wasn't bad, just didn't actually care about the stories they were telling.
The characters or the prose made you apathetic?
Just think about how many Servants would be disappointed in us/angry.
