I am personally hoping for Todd Haberkorn.
Hmmmmmmmm, I think it might be Haberkorn who is voicing Betelgeuse, if Kawaii Kon's latest Ask An Anime Character is anything to go by...

Any further word on that continuation/OVA/whatever that teaser trailer was that came out a few months ago?
It's been fun.Aside from the aforementioned OVA trailer, nothing as of yet.
Konosuba and Re:Zero were the first isekai anime i watched (unless you're counting digimon, but that's not similar to modern isekais), it's kinda hard finding out which isekai to watch next, because everything else will seem like a letdown compared to those two
fun experiment: watch Konosuba and when you're finished with it, jump straight into Re:Zero
also i finished Re:Zero just before the rewatch on r/anime started, so i joined it, there are a lot of foreshadowing you miss the first time. the rewatch also included the Ayamatsu IF and the Rem IF chapters along with the real Arc 3 ending: https://www.reddit.com/r/anime/comments/8dijtw/spoilersrewatch_rezero_starting_life_in_another/
Crusch is Best Girl
Bumbleby is best ship. busy spending time on r/RWBY and r/anime. Unapologetic SocialistThe real Arc 3 ending will probably be ep 1 of the inevitable season 2.
That will be quite the kick in the teeth for Rem fans.
Watch SymphogearIt is definitely something they'll have to address, especially since the novel seems to be pushing more for a triad ending.
It's been fun.I do like how the author makes What If? stories based around the Seven Deadly Sins. From the crime boss Purge King Subaru for Wrath to "I could totally have saved Emilia and beaten Elsa without you interfering Reinhard and I'll prove it by burning the country to the ground as a willing member of the Witches Cult!" for Pride.

Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.I wish Mr. Teppei wrote an extended version of What Ifs. I really love the Ayamatsu IF. Only one sin left: Gluttony, unless... Mr. Teppei will rewrite a Lust IF...
I'm surprised that Re:Zero isn't more popular on TV Tropes, considering that it was the most popular anime in 2016 and by far the most discussed. i would have expected it to show up on more trope pages, but there's very few trope pages with Re:Zero examples
Bumbleby is best ship. busy spending time on r/RWBY and r/anime. Unapologetic SocialistI think not a lot of people want to wade into the webnovel, which is a shame. Admittedly, I haven't had the time myself.
That said, I will be going to go see the new OVA, Memory Snow, in theaters tomorrow. I can post my thoughts here, if people are interested in reading them. I'm not quite sure what to expect, though, given the (as far as I know) complete blank of information on what the OVA is actually about.
It's been fun.I want to watch that OVA...
I hope someone will make Pantheon entries for Re:Zero characters...
The OVA was pretty okay. It's set in the middle of the series, right after Subaru's fight with the giant warg (the Mansion arc, basically, right before the Capital arc where things go to shit and stay there). Overall it was cute, though it wasn't the highest quality, either in animation or in writing - poor Rem gets reduced to her flanderized 'yes, Subaru-kun' self from the end of that arc without any of her character development from later on.
It's been fun.i find Subaru to be a better attack on the otaku than Shinji could ever hope to be, because he wasn't abandoned by his father, he's simply a high-school dropout without a job. his flaws stems from him being an otaku, rather than parental abandoment like Shinji, thus his flaws always come back to him being a NEET and how he acted in the real world
Bumbleby is best ship. busy spending time on r/RWBY and r/anime. Unapologetic SocialistI wouldn't say Subaru is an otaku, per se, he's just Wrong Genre Savvy for the first arc or two and gets too caught up in his own head afterward - which makes sense. After spending so many loops with people, it's not hard to see how he grew more attached to them than would be acceptable from their point of view - and after watching them and himself die painfully over and over, it's little wonder that he starts getting desperate and rushing, even though any one loop could be the one that gets saved.
Poor kid starts out thinking he knows what he's doing, but he doesn't, and even when he thinks he's got things figured out, he doesn't. And it's not like he has anyone to talk to about it, even if the others are willing to support him in other matters.
It's been fun.I wouldn't really call him Wrong Genre Savvy; he's basically correct about what kind of story he's in, but he runs into problems when he tries to shoehorn the tropes he wants in before they'd fit naturally into the story. They only genre thing he overlooked was that it's the kind of story that likes to put the protagonist through hell, and he can hardly be blamed for not seeing that coming.
"Canada Day is over, and now begins the endless dark of the Canada Night."i have some happy(?) news, Volume 9 translation of Re:Zero drops February 19th
Bumbleby is best ship. busy spending time on r/RWBY and r/anime. Unapologetic SocialistIt definitely feels like White Fox is intentionally blue balling the fandom in regards to anime news at this point.
Watch Symphogearthe second OVA hasn't come out yet, but if there's gonna be a time when they announce a second season, it's most likely after the second OVA
Bumbleby is best ship. busy spending time on r/RWBY and r/anime. Unapologetic SocialistYa'll ready for another season of suffering
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Uh, that depends. Do you have something to link, or just a vague question?
It's been fun.I can't read Japanese, but I think this is the announcement talking about Season 2.
EDIT: ANN source.

"But if that happened, Melia might actually be happy. We can't have that." - Handsome RobThe text at the end of the announcement trailer reads "I see. So that is the basis of your greed." Or 'desire', perhaps, to avoid Sin references. Also is possibly a response to the quote in the description - 'I'll die as many times as it takes to save you'.
I really do wonder what they're gonna do for the start here. If things play out the way they do in the novel, then Subaru finds out Rem has been unpersoned when he tries to raise the question of a triad marriage to Emilia, who doesn't know who he's talking about. I'm assuming we'll be starting right after the end of season 1, so...

It's been fun.
Bump. For those not in the know, the English dub cast has been officially revealed by Funimation. It's a Bang Zoom dub.
Initial thoughts:
