I like this series, but there's something I don't get about the anime adaptation. They said they want to make it 50 episodes long and they are filling the heck out of it, right? I don't remember the last time they gave an anime such a long run in the past few years. But, why Pierrot decided to do it with a monthly manga that is only at chapter 30 now? I mean, they were the ones who adapted Tokyo Ghoul and that one was a weekly series with more than enough material for 50 episodes without much filler. So why did they decide to do 50 episodes for this one? 26 would have already been pushing it.

Eh it's been awhile since I've read Binbougami Ga! So I don't exactly remember an example, I just remember the manga throwing stuff at you that surprised me. For a gag manga, it goes into some really serious topics, especially later on. It never completely forgets how bizarre it's setting is though, it's climax pulls off turning everyone in a city into something that would probably be ridiculous in other mangas.

Episode:
Oh god, Mayura, shut the hell up. Quit butting into things that are none of your businesses.
Wait no, stop. What is this anyway. They are skipping ahead this far? Adding more stuff to pad the story is one thing. Omitting a crucial part of the plot is completely different. The hell?!
Seigen, what a dick.
So, I thought the first few episodes of this was pretty interesting, so I read the manga. Wow, they've really diverged since introducing Seigen. It was fairly similar before except for the order of events, but now I guess they're gonna to add two years of filler to go with the Kamui and 2nd Yuuto battles.
In new exciting episode of Twin Star Exorcists Rokuro and Benio... go on a wild goose chase after quirky middle aged woman that inexplicably hasn't aged for at least the last decade.
Also, porn books, giant enemy squids and love based telepathy.
Well, those last two episode were filler, but actually a bit entertaining ones, mostly thanks to Subaru being Subaru.
Looks like we might be heading to something important next week, with a new arrival.
Episode out:
Finally we get back on track with Kamui arrival. Probably my favorite fight of the series.
Benio special, so nutritious it can kill. In case anyone's wondering, the whole thing about dinner was in the manga, except it occurred immediately after they moved in together, which is why Rokuro didn't know Benio eating habits.
Benio backstory is just super tragic, isn't it? Poor girl.
Next episode is the fight against Kamui. Hell yeah!
Well, look who's back. I guess it's 50 episodes after all.
This episode we learn what happened to Benio's parents. Man, that's traumatizing. Poor Benio had a lot of awful things happen to her.
Rokuro finally starts growing into a cool guy he's supposed to be. Admittedly this happened a lot earlier in the manga, but they shuffled things around here.
On of the most awesome moments in the whole series... The Spiritual Resonance. Thankfully they gave justice to how cool this moment was.
Kamui survives, because he's too important of a bad guy to get offed in his first appearance.
Pfft, that ending always cracks me up. Rokuro can ruin a moment even in his sleep.
Next episode we go back to fillerland, but that's to be expected. It's actually kind of nice to follow a series that doesn't end at 12 episode.
Episode out:
Tanabata celebrations, which mean Yukata's and wishes. Rokuro thinks Benio looks cute in hers. He couldn't stop staring.
Man, not a fan of what they are doing with Mayura. Turning her into caricature. Sigh.
New Op is way better than the first one, both in terms of music as well as animation.
Mostly a recap episode, but worth watching for the Ohagi Man segments alone. Those were hilarious. Also the ending is adorable.

Well, destroying all Kerage is something Rokuro was always claiming he'll do since he was a kid, so at least that's consistent. Same thing with Benio.
