You would think the exorcists would have a plan for this considering there have been at least two invasions.
It also really undercuts the tension when just have Rokuro wipe out most them.

I feel like whatever tension and capabilities the Exorcists had evaporated completely when the Generals couldn't even kill a single Basara in the last invasion despite throwing literally everything they had at them.

It's like if the Captains in Bleach didn't kill a single Espada even if they all used Bankai.
It makes the exorcists look massively incompetent to not have any sort measures in place for the worse case scenario.
Also am I supposed to expect the Rokuro and Benio to not waste the Basara comong towards them? Rokuro effortlessly worfed Gabura and he was even stronger than when he killed the two captains.

I was thoroughly uninterested in what was happening tbh. They cut from the the intriguing part before anything interesting happened to focus on people I do not care about. The fight was also kind of bad.

This chapter had a magic giant mecha fight and I didn't care because I don't give a shit about these characters. They failed togive them initial lasting impact and intrigue beforehand.
It doesn't help that the author unceremoniously kills a bunch of them for shock value constantly.

Yeah, I'm trying to be optimistic, but another dud is a real possibility.
Though the stuff with the newborn Basara and Gabura seems to be moving in a weird direction, maybe Benio will actually get to do something since it's not like Rokuro will actually be able to talk it out with them.

I think the author just really likes drawing those.
