So, this could use a thread.

I rather liked the first episode. The artstyle and animation are good, and the fights were fun to watch. Benio is a fun character and she and Rokuro play off each other nicely. It's bit hard to tell what the plot will exactly be but I have good feelings about this one.

I've been reading the manga and although some things were a bit different I thought this was a great first episode so far. It's a cool series.

I read the first volume of the Manga as well.

Didn't realize this had been around long enough to get an anime series. Now I want to read the rest of it to see what's going on and how different the series is.

It hasn't really been around that long, and its going to be 50 episodes. I think we can expect a lot of filler.

[up] The fuck!? Really 50?! Who still does that in this day & age!?

It's... not impossible (primetime series), but four-cour series are getting pretty rare, and there's not enough material for that

It replaced Gintama in that timeslot, which was 51 episodes. Reddit says the official the chinese streaming site's twitter says 50 episodes.

Maybe someone else here can translate it too?

I wonder if there's more raw chapters out there that hasn't been put online. Although I kinda doubt it.

Then again this Pierrot. I have a feeling their gonna milk this series for all its worth.

[up][up]Scanlation is catching up, but yes, this is the correct answer. We're quite a ways behind.

[up][up]I don't doubt it, but the manga only has about 20 some chapters out. This might be a huge stretch, even for Pierrot.

[up]So are you saying there are raw chapters that aren't online at all?

There are 8 collected volumes in Japan. Just the first 4 are 15 chapters, so there should be about 30 in volume form, then add those not yet in the volumes.

That is much more than I thought. I guess that gives them a little more content thankfully.

A bit over 30 chapters isn't enough to cover 50 episodes when the first episode covered the entirety of the first chapter. Along with some new material

By the time we get to 50 episodes, 12 more chapters will added, meaning a bit over 42. I think they'll manage, but I agree this is too early. They'd be better off with 12 episode series ending with a certain fight.

Boku No Hero Academia was announced pretty early in it's run too, although they're being smart with it by doing 12 episodes, and there's a lot more chapters now so they got lucky I guess.

Oh, and let's not forget there's also a timeskip and some glossed-over training they can work with from the manga.

I would definitely like to see some extra stuff about what when on between the time skip. I know there's some extra chapters, they could adapt those too if it they fit in with the canon. Especially interested in Extra 4 between chapter 20 and 21.

I checked the first chapter of the manga. They moved some things around, but overall the first episode did a pretty great job adapting it. They even explained why Benio was falling from the sky like that.

So she did fall from the sky, I thought so but couldn't remember.

Episode 2:

We get to see how splendidly Benio and Rokuro get along, there's a cool battle and at the end the bomb is dropped. This was a good episode.

Except that fox familiar. What a pointless addition.

Episode 3: That dream sequence... the engrish.

Benio continues to be awesome. That girl is dedicated as hell. Rokuro continues to be wimpy and annoying. He really should get a move on, he only puts people in danger while he hides his head in the sand.

Oh here comes the load... I mean Mayura. Well, she's a bit better than in the4 manga, so maybe I'll even come to like her.

Just who the hell came up with the idea of that stupid fox familiar. He adds nothing to the story and is loud obnoxious and annoying.

Rokuro's indecisiveness is somewhat more tolerable considering he's just a middle school kid. It still doesn't make for compelling TV though.

His friends are putting their lives on the line while he's busy being a drama queen. I wonder ho he would react if something happened to them.
