I'm not even sure how you would use Windows to make origami, but like life, Clippy finds, uh, a way.
It's been 3000 years…This is interesting. No one knows who wrote Super Paper Mario.
EDIT: I've found an interesting debate between Color Splash fans over whether or not Huey is alive in the Golden Ending. Some take Peach's word that he's watching over everyone and happy, while others point out that his eyes are closed when he returns and he bounces into the fountain lifelessly.
DOUBLE EDIT: Found some epic and funny Origami King fan art!

The Protomen enhanced my life. The North American website updated with more info on characters and locations.
That Captain Toad has an actual name- Captain T. Ode. He helps you sail the Great Sea. Where have I heard that before?
The elemental guardians are collectively known as Vellumentals.
The reason why Kamek is wielding his broom is because he’s taken up cleaning as a hobby.
Bobby is just Bob-omb on the site. He sees Mario as a big brother.
Locations named include Toad Town, The Great Sea, Whispering Woods, Shangri-Spa, Scorching Sandpaper Desert, Shogun Studios, and Autumn Mountain.
The Protomen enhanced my life.I dunno how happy I am about this game but I sure am in awe of Captain Harlock Toad.
I had another weird Paper Mario dream. I don't remember too much of it because my dream-self deliberately skipped all the cutscenes to avoid spoilers, but I do remember some sort of crafting/food system (I made a Mistake For The Whole Family), there being a Non-Standard Game Over at the start, and Mario having secondary professions as a writer and detective.

The Protomen enhanced my life.Found some neat Paper Mario-like art on Twitter.
Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢Origami King seems to be open-world!
The Protomen enhanced my life.I get happier the more news there is.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.I'm not because there's almost no way any RPG elements would mesh with that. Can't wait to find out that combat is pointless again because you get nothing out of it.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Never played a Paer Mario game myself so I'm kind of excited for this.
I hope you like it! ^^ My favorite PM games are 64 and Color Splash.
I think you get confetti to repair holes torn in the landscape, a la paint/hammer scraps from Color Splash. (I wonder if we'll get those figurines seen in some trailers after combat, like CS's enemy cards!)

The Protomen enhanced my life.Yeah, this is personally a bit disappointing to me.
I hope its Superstar Saga style open world rather than BOTW style. Too many choices will be difficult to balance the RPG elements unless they go for scaling or something.

"But if that happened, Melia might actually be happy. We can't have that." - Handsome RobMy guess is it'll be kinda like Mario Odyssey where you go in a generally linear path but with choices at specific junctures, and Toad Town has been confirmed as the center hub. The fast-travel pipe room and vehicles for each area sound like good ways to break the monotony of walking back to Toad Town every so often for new shops/stuff.
I can't wait to try the aerial battle stuff and the minigames!
The Protomen enhanced my life.Couldn’t they just have the levels increase after every major area is completed? That would probably help a bit.
Oh God! Natural light! This post speculates it may have been a mistranslation. " I think he just means open world like not level based like the last two paper Mario games. we’ve seen too much evidence that the game is still very linear like the first three games. The cable car that takes us to the autumn area is blocked off by the red ribbon, so we would need to get the red ribbon in order to get the blue one. Plus the fast travel pipes have numbers that correspond and hp that corresponds as well. It just seems like it may have been worded wrong"
Either way we'll find out soon!

The Protomen enhanced my life.Still expecting Bowser to be the game's final boss. At most, it'll be a Bowletta situation.
I think we'll get Origami Peach and/or Bowser as the penultimate boss followed by Olly as the final boss, possibly fused with Olivia.
...if we don't get Origami Peach as a boss at ALL after all the buildup I am gonna be so confused/disappointed. XD

The Protomen enhanced my life. And deprive us of standard Bowser as the last boss in a giant form? Surely you jest!
Mileena MadnessThis video has an interesting idea, that we as a fandom should consider the Paper Mario games two separate trilogies under the same name; the "Storybook Trilogy", where the paper style is mostly used as an aesthetic, and the "Pop-up Book Trilogy", where everything literally being made of paper and papercraft is part of the plot.
Honestly, I like the idea.
Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢Huh. That's actually a neat idea. And yeah, I honestly prefer the "Storybook Trilogy" to the "Pop-Up Book Trilogy." Never played Sticker Star or Color Splash, and I'm hedging my bets about Origami King because of the whole Breakable Weapons thing (and mind you, I dislike that trope on principle).
×5
Olly taking over Bowser?
"They truly were a Aqua Teen Hunger Force"Imagine an Origami Peach using Origami Toads as her minions.
Bowser does seem to spend most of the game in a folded up state.
You never know.

RE: Link's Awakening, Wikipedia has the details. Koizumi created the story on his own, and Miyamoto was just involved as producer and testing, with his suggestions leading to the latter half of the production stages. It also took inspiration from Twin Peaks.
"YK: The situation is totally different now. There are so many people with so many different job titles. But back then, the people who wrote the manuals often became the people who came up with most of the backstory for the entire game. The first real game work that I did was on Link's Awakening. But at the same time, I came in to write the manual, as I did on the previous game. But they had nothing in place. So I ended up making an entire story to go along with the game. The dream, the island, that was all mine."
EDIT: Apparently the art director for Paper Mario 64 was the one who came up with the idea that Paper Mario should be paper after SMRPG 2 was retooled. He was then not very involved with TTYD or SPM's art direction, but he then returned in Sticker Star and Color Splash.
