You know now that you mention it she is kinda hot...
WAIT.
HOW COULD YOU.
NO.
IT'S ALL COMING BACK.
NOOOOOOO.....
You can't get it wrong if it's the truth!Saying Pyrrha is the coolest is like saying Obito is the coolest.
Watch SymphogearNot even in the same ballpark.
‘My ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.’A.K.A., an opinion that someone can totally have.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel....Obito is pretty cool though; who else has an intangibility well, ability, that works by literally transporting the parts of your body that would get hit into a pocket dimension? Really, nothing that works on conventional intangibility is going to work on that.

Let's see if you can get past my Beelzemon. Mephiles, WARP SHINKA!I wanted Asuna's fight to be against Weiss. Good fight though.
The problem with Pyrrha is that she's so low on the electromaster bar, either Magneto or Mikoto could take her apart. Mikoto vs Magneto would probably be a better match, Mikoto comes from a setting full of broken characters.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Exactly, which is why I hate most anime. They have all these broken and OP characters for little to no reason and when they DO have a reason it is a contrived and stupid excuse.
Look at Dragonball Super and tell me Goku's not learning all these OP abilities.
I prefer characters that aren't ridiculous, like Pyrrha and Magneto. Sure they can be powerful, but they aren't planet busting or anything like that.
You can't get it wrong if it's the truth!I'm fairly sure that Magneto has made wormholes before actually. Because Magnetism.
Ok, who let Light Yagami in here?I haven't read the comics in forever. Maybe he did.
You can't get it wrong if it's the truth!Just checked. Yep.

Comic Books.
Ok, who let Light Yagami in here?Magneto's a fucking boss. I like him.
You can't get it wrong if it's the truth!Anybody else feel like this was a massive middle finger to Screw Attack?
(5)Wellll... about that. Anime characters aren't completely unique in that regard. Anime just gets a worse rap because Japanese geek culture, I think, focuses more on abstract, kung fu mysticism and philosophical explanations for things, like ki energy and soul power. Whereas Western comic book characters have equally ridiculous reasons for Charles Atlas Superpower, they're usually rooted in science fiction moreso than Training from Hell or The Power of Friendship and nakama. That probably makes it less cheesy and a bit easier to swallow.
Magneto, The Flash, and Superman are examples of ridiculously OP characters, to the point where the only way they function as characters is to nerf them. Seriously, there was a discussion on how stupidly powerful the Flash is in the Death Battle thread a little while ago, there are very few non-god characters who could stand up against him while he's at full power.
-
Also, while I'm alone in opposing this, there are a number of RWBY fans who would, in fact, call RWBY an anime, because it more or less is at this point - it has a Japanese dubbing, it's very popular over there, cosplaying community, it has a prequel manga (yeah), it's got a Chibi spin-off, and visually its animesque to the letter. And Rooster Teeth called it an anime in one of the descriptions, though I still don't think that's what it originally was meant to be - just a work with animesque designs and tropes, like Avatar the Last Airbender.
Spongebob is technically an anime by some definitions.
More to the point, Pyrrha would also be, in a sense, an overpowered anime character. Her power makes her capable of defeating almost anyone in the main cast since electromagnetism > everything. Fortunately the show doesn't let it get that far.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Different strokes for different folks I guess.
I dunno. To be honest, Pyrrha isn't anymore overpowered than say, Yang.
Even then, they found Yang a suitable opponent in Tifa Lockheart. I guess my real issue is with power scaling and the fact that some characters are just too OP to be stacked against others.
You can't get it wrong if it's the truth!WHICH I STILL CALL BULLSH'T ON-
Hrh hrm.
-straightens tie-
-leaves-
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Wow, so that Asuna vs Orie fight was counted? Bullshit.
To be honest. Asuna herself isn't a worthy opponent. When did the everloving-fuck did they allow her to join OMM? Because most characters from SAO are weak.
Let me tell this into perspective:
- Characters don't have special powers.
Judging from the cast, most especially her. Their virtual avatars are considerably weak. Now compare her fencing skill to let's say Weiss and its pretty obvious she'd lose thanks to her Glyphs. Hell, other fencers like Lady Maria of the Astral Clocktower would win thanks to her skill. Her fight with Orie just ended up being a Curb-Stomp Battle to say the least.
Another problem is intelligence. Now outside Asuna, the rest of the cast don't fare much better. Kirito isn't smart and all he does is barge out into the fray and hit the enemy. That's isn't smart. Compare this to Berserk's Guts, who is not only super-strong, but intelligent as well.
Lastly, is skill. Not one of the characters are the best at what they can do. I'm definetely sure that none of them are even smart at their own skills. If they were pitted against the cast of Log Horizon, they would lose to just Shiro himself. Hell ANY UNIVERSE can win against the entire SAO cast. The Team Fortress 2 Mercs, Overwatch, Hell even the ones from Chivalry of a Failed Knight would win against them all because they can't even be competent with their skills.
This land is peaceful, its inhabitants kind.. ∩(·ω·)∩ WAIT, is this supposed to be the mistress herself?Yeah but that doesn't matter in One Minute Melee. The real problem here is that she didn't have any really cool moves.
Well, I know about two episodes or so worth of Asuna and SAO, and absolutely nothing about Orie or her show. But even I saw the curb stomp.
Still, it was a nice battle.
You are saying that only because it featured SAO character. The battle wasn't shitty at all. It looked really good, albeit because they actually had good sprites for the battle.
I mean, if you were complaining that Asuna won, then you are sort of free to complain. But you are complaining how much SAO characters suck when Asuna lost? That just feels like massive Fan Dumb.

Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru!Hey, I have no bias against or towards either of those characters or shows, but I wouldn't call it the worst battle. For a melee involving two fencing fighters (both which I knew very little about), which is all it was for me, it was pretty good.
That Yang/Tifa fight was 100% accurate.
Yang won that fair and square.
You can't get it wrong if it's the truth!@Mee: Have you ever considered the possibility that maybe some people, at least those who are neutral to SAO, are just so sick and tired of people constantly bashing it? I have no interest of actually reading/watching the show, but I am just sick of people constantly talking smack at it.
Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru!AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.....you think Yang beats Tifa...your kidding right
Judging by recent events, I'd say she's the hottest.
