Actually the best strategy to killing most Youki in this game is a rather well kept secret that I don't think is even mentioned in game. Try to low stance and apply two different debuffs on the Youki. I think Wind or Earth makes it easier to apply the second debuff but if you successfully apply the two debuffs you get a third debuff called Chaos which instantly drains the stamina and reduces the targets defense by alot. I've been killing most Youki like this since I've found out about it. Problem is is that it's risky to constantly attack trying to debuff the target without getting hit but man it's worth it when it works.
Hyped for Hyperdimension Neptunia V 2It's way easier to get Chaos if you use a couple different projectile spells, since they apply status extremely quickly.
Yokai. Not Youki.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.Man, The Sekigahara segment is my favorite in the whole game yet. It feels like I'm actually there. Shima Sakon is one badass Motherfucker, thats for sure. I love how he just grabs and headbutts you.
Watch SymphogearOkay, I beat the game, and then I check youtube. Speedrun of it in 2 hours 32 minutes.

Hyped for Hyperdimension Neptunia V 2Almost done with the main story. Just have to defeat Yamata no Orochi (Where's Ammy when you need her?).

Watch SymphogearGood luck. In other news, Koei has told us how they plan to support Nioh in the next few months.
Hyped for Hyperdimension Neptunia V 2I still can't believe they havent patched out the Kusarigama sickle pull thing, since that move breaks the Revenant fights almost completely.
Now, onto the post game. That difficulty spike, though.

Watch SymphogearThe golden Nioh armor looks badass. Kinda looks like a feudal GARO.
Watch SymphogearYou know what's both funny and kinda scary at the same time? Nobunaga pretty much treats everything like its a game after coming back from the dead, including fighting you. If he actually was serious, he probably could have single handedly killed Orcohi Edward Kelly, storm the Tower of London, and murder John dee himself if he wanted to.
Watch SymphogearWell he doesn't have time to kill a bunch of Englishmen, he has to go and fight the Black King.

That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.I haven't been able to play this game yet due to not having a PS 4 but I looked up the soundtrack and while it's overall not my favorite some of the songs are really good.

The soundtrack is very nice.
Watch SymphogearThis theme is probably the best one, or at least in the top 5 for me:

Watch SymphogearBump, Version 1.06 is out. It adds a whole bunch of post game missions on the Way of the Samurai version of the map and some bug fixes and balance patches (you can actually pause the game for real now, yay!)
Watch SymphogearA new bump, because the first paid DLC has its launch trailer for the Dragon of the North, out worldwide tommorow:
PVP will debut with this DLC as a free update, and we have a new weapon type in the form of Odachi's

Watch SymphogearHuh, looks like we have a Nurarihyon in that DLC.
Oh, and the Kappa(?) at the end was cute.
I liked Nurarihyon's head better when it was a non-Euclidean hairdo.
but HOW?I've only just begun, and maybe it's because I'm not a genuine Souls fan - though I did play Demon's Souls - I feel like I'm out of my depth here.
I appreciate the appeal to Japanese mythology, the demons, the art style, the fighting styles and the stance system - but the game just starts. There's some lore pasted in the loading screens and it just starts. I killed an executioner-turned-ogre and my Fairy Spirit got kidnapped and then I went through the tutorial and now I'm some Japanese guy exploring a fishing village. Which has been sacked by bandits, all the people are dead, I can draw these people's spirits to me and listen to their dying thoughts, and I can even reactivate the corpses of ancient, demonic warriors and fight them to steal their soul power and their clothing.
That's not even getting to the part where you summon a wolf guardian spirit that sets your weapon on fire.
And then there's the little green spirit that seems to be hiding in random places for him to find.
So:
- I don't know enough about Japanese folklore/myth for any of this to make sense
- the game explained it and I wasn't paying attention
- it's going to be explained later just not right now
- The explanations are all in the notes you pick up when you're not trying to avoid an axe to the face
- This game is just weird.
This is the first console title I've ever played that's asked me if I want the game to play in "Action Mode, 30 FPS mode," or those other two options.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Just started Nioh today and beat Derrick and the Onryoki. Really fun and I may find it more fun than Bloodborne. Also since I'm transitioning from that, I decided to go for defensive build with high equip load for armor which I think goes well with the axe since it seems to involve face tanking enemies. Fun weapon with high risk but I think my secondary will be the spear as the safe weapon
"If music be the food of love, PLAY ON" - William ShakespeareCan you find Odachi's after downloading the Dragon of the North D Lc on a regular New game?

Some of them are very vulnerable with low stamina, but others aren't so much; I'm not sure what reducing an Onyudo to red Ki accomplishes, for example. If it rams into a wall it'll be stunned, but otherwise there's seemingly no change in their attacks.
