Nic followed the rest of the group, quite a lot quieter than usual. He was really enjoying the scenery. It was idyllic. It might be nice to live in a place like this. As Trabesh started talking about his powers, Nic cast his gaze over to the Sith lord.
"Mind control?" Nic asked. Before he could ask Trabesh to try it on him - That way he'd know if his mind was being controlled in the future - Setsuko split herself in two.
"Ooh! Throw me!" Nic said, raising his hand.
The Wrath looked at Nic when he asked about him mind controlling.
"Yes, though that Force power only works on the weak willed, and I only use it calm those who seek to become aggressive or harm others. I doubt any of you shall be affected by it. He said to Nic, though he then went to the furred woman to send him to fly over to the river. While his Force Jump power letted him jump great amounts of distance without harm, he preffered to let the others go instead of him.
Though what the Sheikah said interested him.
"Interesting...your role in that royal family sounds similiar to the Imperial Guard of the Sith Emperor, though instead of birth, they are personally hand picked from the best soldiers by the Emperor himself to protect not only him, but the people of the Sith Empire too."
Popstar, River
Alvin was very attentive during the past few minutes, so attentive that he forgot to talk a couple of times. But like, seriously, he was totally paying attention there and didn't vanish or anything. 'Twas best to listen and not chatter at times. Of course he couldn't keep quiet for long, especially when they reached the problem of an impassable river. Or like, improbably passable. It was finally then that he decided to speak up.
"Well, prolly better to state who could get across, then figure out who can't." He gestured to a few of the party-members in turn; "Those're penguins. That thing can float. Samson teleports, and I can just swim across." He folded his arms and shrugged. "Anyone else?"
Having been listening and following along, Samson was considering the others' abilities. "Sure, antimagic may come in handy but I really don't trust that guy. Baseline human, though, would be a valuable distraction if she avoids dying. The guy with a guardian entity really needs to train, but this Force thing sounds useful. Hm..."
Looking out to the river, Samson waits around, frost still forming, to see the others put their abilities to use. "Hm"ing a bit disappointed at the lack of action, though looking on with definite interest at the monkey girl. Tilting his head side to side, Samson finally speaks up "Alright everyone, behold why I'm called the Frosthold King!"
Cloud of frost floating above and in front of him, it condenses and straightens- Becoming a thick plank of ice. Curving it, forming stairs and raising the sides so no one falls over, Samson gently lowers it. Giving a sweeping bow, Samson calls out elegantly "Everyone else, you may go first. I'll stay over here and make sure you all can get across."
"The Omniverse is the collection of all possibilities, and all possibilities must eventually come to pass."Popstar - Inside ???'s House
Fenris would find that his head would hit the ceiling if he decided to return to tangibility, but beyond that the house appeared to be a fairly ordinary single bedroom house. There was a little bed sitting underneath the window, with what looked like a miniature version of the giant beanstalk outside with a large purple flower growing on top of it growing in a pot to the front. A blue circular carpet was spread out over the floor. A fireplace was attached to the opposite wall, above which was a set of three pictures.
The first picture depicted a group of four; a Waddle Dee wearing a blue bandanna, a regal-looking penguin-like creature, a blue spherical creature wearing a mask that obscured all but its yellow eyes and wearing a cape and knight-like gauntlets and boots, and at front and center a pink spherical creature with short stubby arms, red feet, and a face that consisted of two black eyes and a smiling mouth. The second picture had a pink-haired fairy wearing a red shirt and a girl with short black hair dressed in artist's attire. The final picture depicted a large blue sunfish, a great gray owl, and a white hamster with orange spots with a particularly large spot over its head.
Unless Fenris found learning about its inhabitant interesting, there wasn't much of use in here.
Popstar - By the River's Edge
Pomo-tan wouldn't see any bridges the higher up he went, though with Samson's trick there was no longer much of a need. However, he and the others around the bridge would see someone they probably didn't notice before.
Not too far from the group, a pink spherical creature, around the size of the Waddle Dees, sat on the bank of the river holding a fishing rod. It had short, stubby arms and red feet. Its face consisted of two mostly black eyes with some blue, blushes on its cheeks, and a mouth. It seemed perfectly content watching its fishing.
However, the activity of the group didn't escape its notice. When Samson created the bridge, the creature turned towards them with a confused expression. Then, upon realizing that it wasn't alone, it dropped the fishing rod right where it lie before running up to them. Once it was close enough, it stopped before tilting to one side curiously, right arm raised to just underneath its mouth, with a curious expression on its face.
Icon by Civvi the Civilian!Well, that activity had been a bust, though Fenris had to admit internally that he wasn't sure he'd recognize a useful item even if he did see it in this strange place. He stayed hunched to avoid hitting anything, but finally deemed the investigation a waste of time, and turned to phase his way back out through the wall.
"Well, unless we need to know that some of the tiny creatures of this world are pink instead of brown, I was wrong about learning anything useful..."
His attention was caught by the nearby, familiar-looking pink creature, and he was quick to finish stepping out of the house and letting his glow fade out. "Oh. Well I wish I could say this was the first time I'd been caught breaking and entering."
Popstar
Hearing the sound of something small approaching, Jack looked to see a small pink puffball stop close to the group and look at them curiously. The Stand user looked back at the puffball and tilted his head slightly in wonder. "...Hello there?" He offered, waving a hand to the little creature.

Popstar - Crossing the river
Lun Lun listened carefully to everyone's explanations of their abilities and then watched in amazement as Sam constructed an elaborate ice bridge. With an expression of pure awe of her face, she said, " Wow, you have definitely earned that title, haven't you, Sam? That was truly amazing!"
Then she watched with everyone else as a small and round pink creature walked up to them. She heard someone say its name was Kirby, at which point she turned around to see that it was the flying furry thing from earlier. With a confused look, she asked, " Excuse me, but how do you know their name? They haven't said anything yet and neither has Director Celesty, so I'm curious."
"Okay!" Said Setsuko, hoisting Nic up and lifting him above her head, preparing to toss him over the river. Then Samson used his ice powers to make a bridge. "Or that works." She set Nic back down.
Before they could cross the bridge, a little pink puffball appeared. A friend of Pomo-tan's? He seemed to know the little puff's name. Wanting to be polite, she walked over to him and bowed, smiling.
"Hey there, my name's Setsuko." She said. "Nice to meet you!"

What is so amusing about this? Why do you take lives? How can you forget?
Looking on with confusion towards the sudden appearance of a pink sphere creature. Becoming even more visibly confused as the not-rabbit seems to recognize it, Samson looks on for several seconds- Before inelegantly exclaiming "What's a Kirby!? Is that its species name?" Clearing his throat as a sign of embarrassment, Samson begins gliding around the Kirby calmly.
Stroking his chin, Samson speaks more composed "Seriously though, did anyone at all notice this 'Kirby' beforehand? What if this thing is baiting us, examining us before attacking? Cause I would be highly worried if no one saw it earlier." Glancing over to the Sith, Samson calls out once more "Hey, wanna give us a crash course on using the Force or do you wanna mind poke this Kirby by your lonesome?"
"The Omniverse is the collection of all possibilities, and all possibilities must eventually come to pass."Pop Star
"I think I saw him in a video game," Pomo-tan said to Lun Lun. Upon hearing Samson's statement, he also added, "I don't really think Kirby is like that. I think Kirby is supposed to be friendly, unless you try doing something bad to him. Though, I should mention that he tends to eat a lot, and when he eats people, he also gains their abilities and stuff."
After a while, the group created a ice bridge..he found that interesting, as there wasn't any Force power that that could create ice. Then..some kind of purple tiny thing appeared, with Samson asking if he could try reading it's mind to see if it isn't a hostile.
"While I'd rather not intrude into peoples mind, I know well enough that appearances can be deceiving after all.." Just like Nomen Karr.. "Though I feel that this...pink alien has no ill-intentions against us." Trabesh responded to Samson.

Sheik tilted her head slightly as Trabesh joined the conversation. "Is that so? I suppose it would not be a role unique to my world; it is only natural that those of import require protection, after all." She was curious as to how the monarchies of Trabesh's and Cecil's worlds differed from her own, but a new arrival halted those thoughts before she could formulate them.
It looked to be a pink ball, fitting in perfectly with this world's aesthetic, and... How strange. She was certain she'd never met this Kirby before, or any creature that resembled it, and yet it still seemed somewhat familiar. Almost like déjà vu. She wasn't sure how to interpret such a feeling, and so kept her distance from Kirby for the moment.
they/them || "Forgive me, regent of queer amphibians" - Lt.BGobShepard was first drawn to Kirby. He didn't necessarily look hostile. She turned to Samson. "Celeste stated earlier that anything that looks friendly here is generally friendly. I doubt this Kirby here is somebody we don't like. By the way, thanks for making the bridge." She proceeded to head towards the ice bridge, but waited for everyone else to finish screwing around with Kirby beforehand.
"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp."
Looking clearly horrified upon being told Kirby eats people to get their powers, Samson looks worriedly over the group before looking back at the Kirby. Holding a plate of ice between himself and the superpower cannibal, Samson calls out to the group with clear discomfort in his tone "Celeste has also absolutely failed to find a purely altruistic universe, so she clearly doesn't know everything."
His fingers flexing uncomfortably, Samson continues, not taking his eyes off the Kirby "Besides, I'm familiar with people being able to completely mask the truth. Met an misfortunate bloke who was cursed with an overwhelmingly evil aura, despite being good at heart. My point is, the omniverse is full of insane oddities and ways to obscure the truth. Heck, my universe can only be truthfully viewed from the inside!"
Reluctantly looking away from the pink ball, Samson calls out a bit stronger "Thus, we can only trust what we see for ourselves! Lots of stuff happens even if you don't observe it, so just because this... Thing seems good, doesn't mean it isn't salivating the thought of killing us all and eating our bodies to add to its collection of powers! Could easily just be a pragmatic monster, working to make people trust it so they're too surprised to fight back!"
Clearly shaking in fear and anger, Samson's hands clench before calling out with barely restrained emotion "I don't trust anything that kills others and mutilate their bodies to use their powers for itself! So unless the fair Sith can peel through its thoughts, I will not allow this monstrosity to go unsupervised. It does anything out of line, and I will brutally eliminate it before it kills any of you."
Frost cloud growing anew, Samson glides away from the pink ball, his eyes fixed on it. Letting out a breath, Samson's body calms down, finally speaking with a more subdued tone "So, not-rabbit, what else do you know about this thing? It might not apply to this version, but some knowledge is better than none."
His eyes glancing over to Lun Lun briefly, Samson calls out more generally "So, how much has everyone practiced with their skills, abilities, and equipment? Originally I didn't know how to reposition myself when I teleported for example, and the ice bridge was something I had to develop."
"The Omniverse is the collection of all possibilities, and all possibilities must eventually come to pass."Popstar, river
Marva was about to port over before Samson made the ice bridge and Kirby approached. She walked over and knelt down to look at him.
Aw, cute... Wait, wasn't he in that game about smashing that I had...?
Seeing Samson's apparent anger, she turns to him. "If he is what I think he is, I don't think he'd do that... Like... Erm... Pomo-tan-" (Silent sigh of relief as she remembered his name ) "-said, he usually only attacks those who've wronged him first. And about practice, well.... I've worked with weapons for much of my life, so I'm quite good at using what I have. My teleportation skills are also top notch as well."
we will survive.Samson quite promptly responded to Shepard's rather calm observation with immediate anger, and that stopped her from travelling along the bridge, and instead caused her to turn around and stare him down.
"And what if it is peaceful and all your talk makes it act out of self-defence? Just because the... Jesus, I can't believe I'm saying this, just because the multiverse is a mean place doesn't mean you should stop assuming good faith. It might be what paves the road to Hell, but it's a better alternative than killing everything in sight for fear it'll all kill you first, because in the end that path is a self-fulfilling prophecy."

"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp."
Frustration flashing across his face, Samson rubs his forehead before speaking a bit fiercely "Just because you're familiar with a incarnation of this reality and a incarnation of this 'Kirby', doesn't mean this reality & Kirby are the same ones. The omniverse is a collection of every possibility, and thus there are infinite versions & variations of this reality."
Flexing his fingers, Samson's cloud of frost continues to grow as he continues "So do not assume you know this universe and its inhabitants inside out just because you know a version of them. Sure, by very definition there has to be good versions of this Kirby creature... But that also means there are bad, evil versions. Thus the problem..."
Forming three figures of himself, each looks different- One steadfast looking just like Samson, one with a demonic-looking arm and implied blood on its face, and finally an emotionally "dead" looking figure with cracks all along it. Samson taking a breath and sighing, he speaks more calmly.
"Just because someone is an alternate incarnation of someone or something you know, doesn't mean they're exactly the same. Sometimes there are drastic differences, like a moral opposite or a 'broken' version. Thus, just because I'm a heroic cyromancer, doesn't mean there aren't evil telepathic versions of myself across the omniverse."
His hands calming down and rubbing at his finger, Samson calls out once more "Factor in all the potential oddities and variations between the two versions of this universe, nothing is certain or guaranteed. The greatest mistake you can make is assuming you know what is going on. So sure, maybe this Kirby is good... But he could also be malevolent. Celeste isn't all knowing, so it would be foolish to assume her knowledge is wholly correct."
"The Omniverse is the collection of all possibilities, and all possibilities must eventually come to pass.""You... you do realize one of the holograms - the one you're intending to be evil - has a demonic arm, right?" Shepard cocked her head. "That doesn't do a good job of proving the point of 'looking nice doesn't equal being nice'." A moment later she wondered why she had even gotten involved. There were enough of them that even if this Kirby thing was evil, they'd be able to take it down.
Nevertheless, she checked to make sure her submachine gun was working. A quick mental ping confirmed her biotic barrier was still in place. Even if this Kirby thing turned out to be evil, she was confident she could deal with it.

"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp."Trabesh sighed at Samson and Shepard discussion..though he didn't knew why, but the soldier's voice sounded way too similia to the Jedi Grandmaster Satele Shan.
"If to settle this whole debate I have to look into the being's motives, then so be it.."
After a moment, Trabesh emitted a red and blue aura, closing his eyes as he attempted to use the Force to see into Kirby's mind, and see if it had any dangerous intentions against the group.
Popstar - By the River
Kirby, for that was indeed what his name was, effectively confirmed everyone but Samson's suspicions about him when he gave the ice wielder a look that was most certainly offended.
"Poyo!" he shouted, before immediately putting as much distance between himself and Samson as possible without fully breaking away from the group. Samson's DRD would translate this statement as something along the lines of "You're mean!"
His foul mood didn't last very long, considering everyone else seemed nice enough, although the look he gave Pomo-tan seemed to be his way of thinking the rodent was not all right in the head. To everyone else, he stood on tiptoe while waving his arms wildly wearing a big smile on his face. Then he calmed down and gave them all an inquisitive look, with a little squeak that sounded vaguely like "huh?"
Trabesh would find that Kirby was now extremely suspicious of Samson; he seemed to be comparing the homonculus to a few other beings, notably a spherical jester and what appeared to be a stout, yellow-eyed alien in a similarily jester-like outfit. Beyond that, he did indeed feel Pomo-tan was a little crazy, but was simply curious about who the group was and what they were up to.
Celeste noticeably took a while to translate for everyone else. When she did finally speak, her words were clearly aimed at Liliana over anyone else.
"Please do not refer to me by that name," she said with a noticeably firm tone of voice, a surprising amount of emotion coming from her. A few seconds later, and her next words were in her usual emotionless tone. "Forgive me. It looks like this local has taken a bit of an interest in you. He seems pretty happy to meet you, homonculus aside, and wants to know a little more about you. I think it would be worth your while to try getting to know him."
Her next few words were clearly aimed at Samson. "Am I to assume you're a multiversal traveler yourself? Because for someone who presumably before now had never stepped foot outside their home universe, you're assuming an awful lot. Either way, the fact remains that your behavior right now is simply going to alienate everyone you meet if you keep it up. Sometimes it may be justified, but most of the time treating everyone like they're going to stab you in the back at any moment will just make everyone treat you the same way. And I will tell you right now that it's in your best interest to try and make some allies among the worlds you'll be visiting. You may as well start now."
Icon by Civvi the Civilian!Fenris just stared for a moment, then shook his head, sighing. "I can't believe I have to be the diplomatic one here."
He stepped forward, more into sight of Kirby, and immediately resumed the same position he had on meeting the Waddle Dees, going on one knee and bowing his head slightly, speaking in a soft, measured voice. "Forgive my companion, we are all still adjusting greatly to our travels. We have come here seeking aid against a force threatening to destroy this world. We are hoping to meet with a king we were told of in order to further our exploration and find the threat. Do you have any further ideas of what we could do to help save this place?"

"Ah, I apologise for getting ahead of myself. I am Sheik, of the Sheikah. A pleasure to meet you both." She used the introduction to segue back to his first question. "We protect, yes, but we also support, and care for, and advise... Whatever is needed, we provide. In that way, we are the shadow of the royal family."
"...That is, we provide our aid on the understanding that the rule we support is a righteous one." There was a steeliness to her tone, but it reverted back to calm as she continued. "But I trust in my instincts, and they tell me that you are not of an evil mind. May we all work well together."
