Controversy Around Netflix's Jinn Highlights a Cultural Divide in Jordan and the Middle East
Jordan is that autocratic? Damn.
Just saw potential spoilers for Birds of Prey on Twitter regarding the plot and Black Mask. Considering the source I think it'll turn out to be untrue but if it turned out to be true, it'll make me start questioning what's going on at WB/DC again after they gave us good movies like Aquaman and Shazam. The supposed plot will be about Black Mask, who will be portrayed as a flamboyant gay man trying to get back dick pics that are hidden in a diamond
Intersting, the show try to portray jordan as a place were people can talk and express and the goverment condemn the show, therefore playing on the very same steriotype the show try to advert.
…I highly doubt any sober producer would greenlight a plot like that for a superhero blockbuster. >.>
That sounds so ridiculous Id expect it in an anime.
That's hilarious but I don't think any mainstream superhero movie would be interested in tackling dick pics, if only for rating reasons.
I am calling bull crap. It sounds like a Garth Ennis comic.
Tbh, it’d be interesting to see Black Mask be portrayed as a sly smooth-talking gay man a la Javier Barden’s Raoul Silva from Skyfall instead of the screaming hysterical Big Bad Wannabe we see in Arkham Origins and Under the Red Hood.
The film critic who said that Black Mask rumor also claimed that Oscorp would appear in Spider-Man: Far From Home. It doesn't.

Yeah, Beyond the Trailer should always be taken with a grain of salt.
Poor people from Jordan.
Zero: Netflix to Debut First Ever Scripted Series With Afro-Italian Protagonists
Soooo, is it bad if my first reaction to that paragraph is "God, that sounds pretentious as hell"?
Be interesting to see how far it goes
Quite a bit, usually "I can see past aparience" is very easy to code "im better than you" in it.

I mean, I definitely find that description pretentious, but that is because I dislike rap
...is "Rap" supposed to be his name?
From the looks of it yeah
I think the writer meant that rap will be featured heavily in the show.
Yeah, that's bad. What, is there also gonna be a Mexican kid named Mariachi? What the hell?
I hope so, because naming your black protagonist Rap kinda shoots your message in the foot.

No no,the family will be called called Mariachi and together they form the band!
>Rap will be one of the protagonists of the story because rap is the language of our age
Yup. Pretty sure that's his actual name if I'm reading the sentence right.
In which case..... .
