I am loving the atmosphere of this episode, especially the literal atmosphere, how the sky outside turned green halfway through the episode. It was so ominous and did a great job of amplifying the menace.
I checked the manga and this and last episode were pretty straightforward adaptations, hardly anything was fully cut, just rearranged a little (like moving Psycho Helmet's speech to last episode when it actually happened instead of here with Reigan showing it to Mob on the computer). I'm impressed, that's some good adaptation work right there.
That said, (manga spoilers) there are around 140 more pages left before the end of the arc, so I totally get why one of the artists made that earlier tweet hyping up episode 6. I think they're splitting the final confrontation into two episodes, around 70 pages each. I'm betting episode 5 will cover Mob and Dimple's conversion, Mob vs Teru, then the first half of Mob vs Dimple, up to Dimple revealing his God form. Then Episode 6 covers Mob vs God Dimple, the reconciliation, and then Dimple vs Psycho Helmet.

By the way, now that we're at this point, I can reveal the biggest spoiler in the Season 1 OP to the anime-onlies:
Starting from 0:53, energy flows into Mob's chest, which triggers a mushroom cloud explosion that transforms into broccoli. That's from the end of Season 2. BUT THEN, the broccoli turns into Dimple!

Kinda off topic, but why is there a trend of calling psychic (or telekenetic) characters 'psycho'. I know the word is similar to psychic, but it means something quite different, the only similarity is that they're both related to the mind. I suppose the answer is simply that it sounds cool, but I'll ask anyway.

Yeah, that was amazing. Splitting the climax of this arc into two episodes was definitely the right decision. Mob crying made for a great mid-episode twist, and the fuckin' shirt reveal made for an amazing cliffhanger. I forgot how much dialogue there was here and how much it conveyed the themes of the arc.
As for next episode it also looks amazing, and like they're expanding the material a bit.

I love the speech about Tsubomi. This arc started with Mob and Tsubomi talking for the first time in forever, and we saw how insecure Tsubomi was about her own friends seeing her in an embarrassing position. Now, Dimple says that Tsubomi is so strong-willed that she resisted the brainwashing even through peer pressure, only won over in the end the same way Reigan was. These two episodes have done a great job of characterizing her, in a much deeper way than we'd ever seen before.
Wow, this episode was peak Mob Psycho 100, and I'm 100% sure the next one will be even more so.
It's a small-ish thing, but I love the brainwashed Reigen part. Dimple's hypnosis didn't change anyone's personality - the guy would be that slimy and manipulative with just a little shift in his priorities. He's not a villain just because the well-being of Mob (and lately, of his other protegees) ultimately comes first for him.
Dimple is a friend. A true friend. He's blunt and honest because he cares about Mob and worries about him. He just wanted to live out his lifelong dream with his best friend Mob, and Mob blew him off. Neither one of them even realized that's what that conversation was about until later. His lifelong dream was a bad thing, but only because he was channeling his insecurities into a bad mindset, and he really just needed a heart-to-heart conversation to make him see reason. Then he sacrificed himself to save Mob from the consequences of his actions. Dimple was a friend.

In mildly related news, ONE is making a new manga called Versus. ONE is the writer, while Azuma Kyoutarou is the artist. The tagline: "47 Heroes selected to fight against the 47 demons of the Demon Lord". And here's a leaked image:
