Hall
Though he also feels a little awkward, Jiko keeps walking and tries to keep conversation up as he can.
"Nothing much, just going to see if I can fix Lex's shower, the hot water is kind of...broken," he says, holding up one of the parts, "how about you? Getting situated?" Very good, now ask how the space weather is.
Hall
"Well. I just spent about a half an hour feeling up a damp, hairy, muscular man, so. Pretty well, I guess." he shrugs. "Turns out this being human thing is rather...enjoyable. Well, pretending to be one, at least. So...how's the asshole?"
Kitchen
Greg works on mixing the ingredients in a bowl when he finishes cubing the tofu. "Sure, no problem." he says with a smile. He grabs the salt, adding just a little to the dry mixture as he starts heating his oil. "How're you feelin'? You look pretty happy."
Old habits die hard, especially when no one else lets them die either.Hall
Jiko glances over at Rakiri as they take a turn, continuing on toward the Library. At the mention of his feeling up someone, Jiko considers asking him he same question, but merely smirks instead.
"Yeah, being human is interesting, I'll give you that. You'll get used to it. Er, I should think." He takes a pause to think for a second after this.
"And he's still an asshole, but thanks to Lex I know a little more. Apparently he was a soldier."
The Kitchen
"Yeah I guess so..." He says giving a small chuckle as he dries his hands. "Guess seeing you get sprayed with a fire extinguisher made you seem less threatening. No offense." He says defensively but jokingly as he walks over to help.
"After time adrift among open stars, along tides of light and through shoals of dust, I will return to where I began."Hall
"Soldier, huh? You find out a name? Or rank? Or division?" he asks one after the other. "Might have known him."
Kitchen
Greg chuckles, handing Michael some of the tofu so he can dip it in the batter. "Well, that's good at least. While I wasn't exactly thrilled when he was blasting me, I'm kinda glad my face didn't go up in flames. That woulda been kinda bad."
Old habits die hard, especially when no one else lets them die either.Hall
Jiko purses his lips for a second as he remembers.
"No...he claims he's shattered. Missing his name, his memories are barely there...there was this huge battle...ships littering the sky, lots of them falling like flies..." he holds his forehead for a second and slows down, leaning against the wall, as if pulling this memory back up is stressful for him.
"He was fighting a Kirina before they just...disappeared. Teleported away or something before one last ship dropped some sort of energy ball..." his eyes glaze for a second, "Faran'Tali Aellba...Neurological Energy Disruptor..." he shakes his head, before looking at Rakiri.
"Sorry...does that...does that mean anything to you?"
Kitchen
"The fire system would have at-least put you out if it did happen." Michael says jokingly as he batters the tofu. He was a decent cook, no expert but knew what he was doing at least.
"Glad you seem to be doing better now Captain. The others all risking themselves to help you out, really help each-other out when we've had trouble; despite us only knowing each other for a short time... Its nice to be surrounded by almost a family I suppose." He says happily while musing.

"After time adrift among open stars, along tides of light and through shoals of dust, I will return to where I began."Zak slashed at Ness with his sword, and she rolled under it, avoiding his stroke entirely, and pulling her crossbow towards him, aiming at his back. She fired, just as she realized that Zak had already brought his shield to bear. The crossbow bolt bounced off of the steel shield, and Zak grinned through his bushy red beard. He slammed the shield into Ness, and she fell to the ground. Zak stabbed down at her, and the simulation ended. Zak lost his beard and several inches of height as well as his heavy knight's armor, and Ness lost her warrior-maiden garb.
"Good job, Ness. You have to work on your awareness of your opponent. Never look away from whoever you're fighting."
"Yes, sir!" Ness replied, mock saluting with a lopsided grin on her face.
"...!"
Rakiri immediately stops in his tracks at the mention of it. His expression goes rather dark and he finds a sudden interest in the wall. "...A lot. That was the weapon my infiltration team failed to stop. Decimated our numbers in a near instant...it was...awful, to put it lightly." he answers, looking as if he were recalling the events as if they happened only yesterday.

"Family..." Greg trails off, thinking about the word. It was something he never had. Something he often found himself yearning for, even if he;d never admit it. He was way to proud for that...though, it was never a thought that was far from his mind at any given time. "...I like the sound of that. It...makes me really happy." He says before dropping some of his tofu in the oil to fry.

Michael paused watching Greg's slow but positive reaction, handing more of the work required in the meantime before nodding strongly. "I like the idea of it as well! I like the ship as well, it beats trying to make a living with just music aboard a space-station." He says quite warmly and a little excited.

"I'm...sorry about that, if it's any consolation," says Jiko, a little awkward. He suddenly isn't sure what he could possibly say. Instead, he reaches out and puts a hand on the Echirean's shoulder and patting it lightly. He can feel the energy coursing through him and has a feeling that might be mutual. Or maybe not, who's to say.
"I'm sure you did what you could," he continues, stepping toward the Library (which he notes isn't that far off), "war is hell...I've heard."
No issue, we understand, these things happen.
Hall
Jiko notes Dominic's approach with a curt nod, taking his hand away.
"Depends on what you find important I guess...but you're not interrupting or anything," he says, taking a few steps closer to the Library doors, not as if he's trying to get away or anything - just getting closer to his destination...and he feels a little awkward having brought up the memories.
Hall
"Yeah...I hope it's not something you ever have to experience." he answers simply. Jiko might note that Rakiri's energy seemed to fluctuate a bit at the contact before he removes his hand.
He notes Dom and Lex's appearances, and just looks at them both for a moment. "Nothing, really...just...memories."
Kitchen
"Or stealing cars or hacking ACD (Automated Credit Dispensor) Units and bank accounts for a living." Greg says, agreeing with the sentiment. He looks over into the empty lounge, seeming to be in thought. "...Ya know, sometimes I wonder where I'd be if I never ran into Pete and Chris that day and they helped me clean up. Well, mostly clean up." he says idly. "I didn't exactly use to be the best person, I guess."
Old habits die hard, especially when no one else lets them die either.Hall
"Oh," says Jiko, surprised at Lex's sudden appearance but leaning into her nonetheless, "yeah...I mentioned what we saw the other day with...Mr. Energetic as you called him. I was just on my way to your room to...do something." It takes him a second, but he realizes how he sounds and awkwardly holds up the parts he picked up, "gonna try to fix the hot water. Er...your hot water...in...in your shower."
The Hangar Bay
Almost a insistent wispier joins the pain running through Matthew head but it is incomprehensible, he has no choice as he collapses to his knees, removes his helmet and summons his black, reinforced psi-case and unlocks it. (The lock is a biometric psi-lock) In his impaired and clearly pained state he fumbles with the packet of mental dampeners, dropping quite a few which just hit the ground; seemingly melting and evaporating against the metal floor. Eventually managing to handle and swallow one and coughing slightly, not having anything to wash it down with.
The pain continuing for another minute or two before lessening. Just panting and sweating on the floor.... That was no usual psionic headache... That was no mental punishment... What the hell was going on...
The Kitchen
Michael falls silent at listening to Gregs story a sad look creeping onto his face. "I'm glad they did or you wouldn't be here with us right now and I would still be trying to find some one willing to employ the homeless fourteen year old." He says remembering the four months he spent on that space-station and having nowhere to go but security depots and shelters.

Chris wanders in, his hair in the classic bed head pattern, having slept for most of the day, and catching the tail end of what Greg was saying. Smiling he gently tussles his hair, "I wonder where I'd be without Peter or you either, hon."Hall
"Oh?" she asks, looking between Jiko and Rakiri, "You guys figure anything out?" she then chuckles and kisses Jiko's cheek, rubbing his side, [["Aww, that's so sweet."]] then looks into his eyes, trying to broadcast a brief message to him, and, preferably, unless Dom happens to force his way in, Maybe we could test it out when you're done. it's probably rather difficult to tell whether she's being serious or not, given the capabilities of rudimentary telepathy, though, her wide grin may give him a hint.Hall
Jiko shrugs when she asks about what they'd found out. He can't really be sure, but he thinks maybe Rakiri may be less inclined to capture him now. Kinship, or something.
"It's not really that sweet I..." he trails off as he gets the message and blushes brightly, "...buh...I...er...m...maybe I should just go try my luck, huh?" He parts from Lex carefully (and a little regretfully) before waving off to the others and stepping into the library and all the way through to Lex's room and bathroom, grabbing his jacket as he passes in the Library.
Lex's Bathroom, a few moments later.
Jiko has managed to open a panel in the wall. First thing he feels he should look at is the one thing he'd actually be able to work with - the electronics behind the whole ordeal.
"Come on...let me get lucky," he says, putting his hand to the wall and sensing out the flow of power through the machinery. This is enough to distract him from whatever...less than appropriate thoughts he might be having at the time.

Lex blushes lightly as Jiko hurries off to fix her shower, squeezing his hand lightly before he's completely out of her reach, "I really do appreciate this, hon. Best of luck."She then looks over toward Dom and Rakiri, mostly the former since the latter seems to have...do Echireans fall asleep? She couldn't quite remember from her history classes; she was leaning toward no, but Rakiri was certainly doing...something. Meditating, perhaps? His eyes were closed, and he was swaying a little, so.. she also notes that he smells like that Mitch fellow who'd seemed to take a liking to him, and also carried the scent of... certain other things. She'd have to ask him about it later.
Addressing Dom, and adopting an air of perfect innocence as natural to her as breathing, though, seeing as he seems to be as learned a telepath as she is, if not more so, it may not do her any good, she smiles, referencing Jiko, "Well, he's got a sudden determination to fix that for me all of a sudden. Wonder what triggered that." she shrugs.
"Ya know, we've never really..talked. Not for very long at least. You always kinda disappear too fast for that. I've had a..probably really silly idea, if you wanna hear it."

Seeing how Greg is swaying back and forth with exhaustion, Chris quickly picks him up and gently carries him in his left arm, helped massively by the fact that that arm is a ton stronger thanks to it..well.. being the one that's part of the reason he's called a cyborg by some these days.Captain's Quarters

Lex's Bathroom
It doesn't take long for Jiko to find the issue, feeling the sudden resistance in the flow of the electricity that he had learned meant there is a short in the wiring. Or a bad wire. Or just a bad connection. Regardless of which of these things it might be, Jiko breathes a short sigh of relief.
"All right, I can...I'm pretty sure I can fix that," he says to the room, getting the sound of a single drip from the sink in response, "Thanks for your support." Looks like he gets a little weird when he's alone, talking to sinks and such.
Using his power, he manages to unscrew whatever screws are in the way with electro-magnetic energy (something David had helped him work out) and puts them in one of the pouches of the belt around his waist before opening another section of the paneling, revealing a mess of wiring. He puts his hand back to the wall and feels out which is the culprit. When he thinks he has it, he pulls.
Which turns out to be a mistake.
As the wire comes unhooked from the socket it is connected to, the lights in the bathroom flicker off, leaving him in the dark. The solitary sound of another drip from the sink reaches him as he takes a moment to breathe.
"Hush, you."

Observation Deck
Thanks to his enhanced concentration due to his meditation going so well, ChrisAfter a minute or two, he locates the wire in question, and works on magnetizing the frayed ends back together, then welding them into a whole wire once again. The lights should start coming back on in the bathroom soon after.
That done, he rolls his shoulders again, and gets back to his previously scheduled activity.

The Kitchen
"Sure can do." Michael wanders over and starts to have a look. Eventually having to stand up on a chair to reach the top of a shelf to get them down, why they are at the top shelf no one knows? "Yep we've got them all. Can you make me up some as well?" He askes geting down and placing the stuff on the side. Then taking the opportunity to go wash his hands.
The Hangar Bay
"-the the hell is up with her why-... Matthew mutter in blaring pain as it continues for many more moments, sudden rapid images appearing in his forethoughts but it just hurts too much and they're moving too fast to comprehend...
