"Well... the normal age for a Cenn to start studies is 8, so I am a bit early, though that is also the age we commonly agree to be 'adult' in your terms, we age quite fast in the first few years of our lifes before aging comes nearly to a stop at around 25." Mireille said
"One may feel fear in the face of danger so long as one banishes fear when danger actually arrives"Nos Lycarin, Shard Starport, Private Docking Bay 30X:
"Is story long, would rather not talk about..." Torvahk replied when asked about what happened to his civilization's lost technologies. "All must you know, is soldier I am, and guard security I can be. From long line of soldiers I come from, and weapons heavy specialty mine. Years of training I have, since 15 I was, am now 24." He then added.
((I"ve noticed that people use different text colors to identify different characters, and I just wanted to point out that I do know how to use that text effect, but I've already decided on Torvahk's speech being represented by the default black color.))

Living The Fever DreamShard Starport - Private Docking Bay 30X
"I learned biology, I'm aware. It's just that it's been a long time since I've seen a Cenn, and the few I've encountered are more than 20 years old. It's remarkable, really." Val says the first part to Blake and the second to Mireille.
"Cenn learn very fast during their early years, Val. And after that they slow down. I should know." Mitch adds, before getting back to Torvahk. "I see. I think you'll be a good crew member. Let's get you both inside so you can take a look." He says, directing both him and Mireille to the ship's main entrance.
Shard Marketplace - Ice Cream Stand
Izzie just continues to chuckle while eating as she watches Chris and Kyerine.
"I get teeth freeze sometimes." Peter comments before taking a bite out of his ice cream.
Nos Lycarin, Shard Starport, Private Docking Bay 30X -> Troperia
Mireille also followed into the ship, looking around everywhere, only restraining herself in so far that she didn't slowed the group down.
"One may feel fear in the face of danger so long as one banishes fear when danger actually arrives"Bridge
"Well, here we are. There are maps in quite a few places, so I'm pretty sure you won't get lost." Mitch says, walking down the hallways towards elsewhere. Val follows him too.
Ending the scene a bit early because I won't be available for a couple days.
Dominic & Mitch's Room
Dominic sets down the serum boxes on his desk, then opens up his laptop.
"Hey. How're you doing?" A voice says from the other end.
"I'm fine. I have an update on Peter, though. He's learned to use an unrefined form of superfocus. I wouldn't be worried, except for the fact that we never trained him in it and he used it to rip someone into pieces."
"That's interesting."
"Interesting, huh? Caring as always, I see." Dominic chuckles a bit darkly.
"Relax, I'm sure you can point him in the right direction. You already have those serums."
"True. I just hope he doesn't have to go through what Mitch did..."
"Yeah... Anyway, I've got my own update on the genome test we've been working on for a while. The geneticists went nowhere; for a bunch of people with Ph.Ds, they act like idiots sometimes. They keep running the same tests over and over again with no major changes."
"Maybe you should tell them what to do."
"I did, actually. I had them switch the algorithms. Instead of just looking at the primary donors, we look at their relatives and possible secondary donors too. It's a lot more complex, but it'll point us in the right direction."
"Nice work for you to think of that." Dominic pauses for a moment before continuing. "...What if this is our kid, Mike?"
"We'll get to that when we get the results. It'll still be a while from now."
Troperia Bridge
Torvahk would follow Mitch into the bridge of the Troperia, coming to a stop to look around and check his surroundings. He would not notice Mitch and Val's departure, too focused on what he was seeing. "Is nothing seen I have before...big how is ship this?" He wondered aloud.
((To be honest, I'm at a complete loss as to what the interior of the Troperia actually looks like. Is it built in a sleek, new-era style kind of like Everything Is an iPod in the Future and Ascetic Aesthetic sort of design, a Used Spaceship, or possibly even something a little steam punkish? Also I noticed a continuity error with Torvahk's history in the Mehketaran Army in one of my earlier posts and corrected it.))

Living The Fever DreamTroperia, Bridge
Mireille looke at one of the maps Mitch spoke of. As Torvahk she didn't notice Mitch and Val departing... or rather only noticed as they were just leaving the room, before the door closed completely she shouted a "Thank you for bringing me here" in their direction. She loooked where the Arboretorium was on the map, just as she was abou to leave she remembered that she probably should speak with the capitan, so she looked around in the bridge.
IIRC the Troperia itself looks like the Normandy from Mass Effect
, so I think the interior is looking accordingly, though I'm not 100% sure

"One may feel fear in the face of danger so long as one banishes fear when danger actually arrives"The Troperia - Matthew's Rylan's Quarters
Matt just continued to lay there in near silence, he had stopped his music and just listened to his own breathing and the humming of the ship... His brother would come eventually and let him leave eventually. He will forgive him right? Right?
The Troperia - Nexus Construction Area
It infact after the incident with David slipped his mind that he grounded his brother...
Going to the area of the ship he cordoned off, the door covered by a large holographic warning sign saying "WARNING: CONSTRUCTION AREA: BEWARE OF FLYING DEBRIS" usually it was falling debris but with the number of drones moving about on construction duty flying was more apt.
Meanwhile Blake had taken position and began welding and reinforcing bulkheads and columns. This area was gonna need to be a lot more secure and solid for the experiments ahead, and reinforcing the hull of the room with extra plating and support was a first priority.

((Considering that I played the whole trilogy, I think I have a good reference in terms of designs, thanks for informing me.))
Troperia Bridge
Torvahk looked around the bridge a bit longer before finding another one of the maps that were mentioned earlier. Whether it was a traditional LED or LCD screen with button commands, a touchscreen, or a hardlight display, he would find it easy to use due to intuitive design. Out of all the rooms the Troperia might have had, Torvahk was hoping to find three in particular: An Armory, A Virtual Training Center, and possibly a Security Control Room. He also wondered where the barracks were, how many of them were on the ship, and which one he would be stationed at, which seemed like something the captain of the ship would know.
"Thanks many for helping me leave Nos Lycarin. Stranded I would have been." He told Mireille as he also began searching for the captain.

Living The Fever DreamIce Cream Stand
Greg chuckles, and clears his throat before he suddenly points critically forward at nothing in particular. "THE WORD OF THE FIREBALL CAPTAIN IS LAW, DAMN IT!" he screams, flames billowing out of his back as his eyes and hair turn a blazing red. "...Yeah, that'd probably keep me in line, too." he continues, the flames subsiding as he speaks calmly. He goes to take another lick of his ice cream...only to find it's completely melted all over his hand.
"...Shit."
Tor can't help but laugh at Greg's display. "That is one way to keep people in check, yes...humor also seems to work well, too, clearly."
Delta Dash Arcade
"DDR? Dancing...?" Amos sounds slightly less enthusiastic about this one, but shakes his head. "Well, alright, but my coordination isn't...the best, haha..." he says, idly scratching his head in embarrassment as he follows them over. Michael seemed interested, so he'd give it his best, regardless of how awful he knew this was likely to play out.
Old habits die hard, especially when no one else lets them die either.Ice Cream Stand
Kyerine bursts out in laughter for a few moments before having enough composure to speak. "Yes sir, fireball captain sir! ...and no sir, you cannot have this one, sir!" He proclaims jokingly before taking another taste of the icecream, and trying to avoid getting brain freeze. It was super sweet, so even with brain freeze it was kinda worth it.Delta Dash Arcade
The group went over and arrived at the machine. It was pretty quiet, except for the few individuals behind the group following due to Russell. "Only two can go at a time so why don't you two go first. It seems fair."
The suggestion is met fine, with Michael stepping up and bringing Amos up as well, laughing a little at his reaction. "It's fine i've never played before so we can screw up together." Michael was a clearly happy with this idea, maybe hoping he had a chance of winning.
The Troperia - Nexus Construction Area
Blake continued the welding work on the hull. The various droids moving around and establishing platforms and scaffolding for the new walls, doorways, struts and rewiring the electrics for the region.Blake was in a almost constructive trance, only looking away to grab a drink of beer from one of the droids he programmed with the single purpose to head to the Longue and grab one.
"After time adrift among open stars, along tides of light and through shoals of dust, I will return to where I began."Training Room
Lex nods and sits beside Kijo as he pumps iron, she's close, but not overly so, not as intimately close as she normally might be with Jiko, and she doesn't look at him as she speaks, "Maybe you're not, but you're as close as I have. We might as well be civil at the very least. I'm glad we are...now."Ice Cream stand
Chris hands over his cone to Greg as he rocks with silent laughter, "Heh, the cutest fireball I've ever seen. You can share my cone with me if you want, I know cheesecake is your favorite."Training Room
Kijo chuckles. It's a dark sound.
"Spoken as if he isn't still there," he says, switching arms, "Or that he won't at some point get his body back. For now though, I agree - better we be civil than at each other's throats. Even with the psychological advantage I still think I'd be shit in an actual fight with you. Plus I lack most of the physical portion of all the training."
Shard Marketplace - Ice Cream Stand
Peter and Izzie laugh at Greg's antics, before the former 'scoops' the melted ice cream back into balls and spins them around to trap some air, then freezes them. All of this seems to take quite a bit of effort for Peter, judging by his complex finger movements and time taken compared to how he controls normal water and air. "God, you're so cute." Peter says, practically making a ^w^ face.
"Your fluid control's improving pretty nicely, Pete." Izzie compliments him.
"Wait until I can do this by just blinking." He replies with a slight grin, eating more of his ice cream.
Ice Cream Stand
"Hehehe..." Greg chuckles in embarrassment at Tor and Kyerine's apparent amusement, as.well as Peter calling him cute.
"Thanks, Chris." He says, giving his cone a lick before giving him a kiss on the cheek. He looks surprised and Peter works his magic on his melted ice cream, turning the salvageable bits back into a sphere. "Oh, wow...thanks, Pete! That was cool. I didn't know you could so that." He says with a grin.
Delta Dash Arcade
Amos takes a cursory glance down at the dance pad then back up to the screen. "Huh...I don't know music all that much, so, maybe you should pick a song, Michael..."
Lounge
Seems like Rakiri found himself here...and into another of the assorted bottles of liquor, as he's sitting at the bar with head face down, muttering drunkenly and holding his stomach.
Old habits die hard, especially when no one else lets them die either.Ice Cream Stand
"Woah how are you doing that?" Kyerine asks to peter pointing at the ice cream. A clear light of trying to figure it out churning in his head.Delta Dash Arcade
"Hehe, sure. I'll do something slower since it is our first go." As Michael scrolls down a not very complex but currently popular song and puts it on. The game getting ready to start and Michael giving a nervous smile to Amos. "Incase we both make fools of ourselves, i'm sorry.""You will be fine, now its about to start!" Russell says to encourage the pair to start.
The Troperia - Nexus Construction Area
Blake moves over to one of the large crates and opens it up, drones helping unclamp and move parts. Inside revealing huge amounts of computing equipment, hard-disks, computer cores and a ton of cabling. This was gonna take a long time....
Wait where's that beer gone..?
"After time adrift among open stars, along tides of light and through shoals of dust, I will return to where I began."Troperia, Bridge
Seeing that no one looking like the captin was around Mireille decided to explore the ship a bit instead, after all she likely would stay here for a while now, looking at a nearby map she soon discovered what looked like the arboretorium - so in other words: the place where she was headed to now.
"One may feel fear in the face of danger so long as one banishes fear when danger actually arrives"Heading out of the Troperia
I AM IN NEED OF SERVICING.
"Huh? What do you mean?"
SUSTAINED DAMAGE. STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY AT 70%. Arif looked at Aria. She did look a little dented. ADDITIONALLY, MY WEAPONS NEED CLEANING.
"So... We need to patch you up. Any ideas where to go?"
LOCATING. LOCATING. FOUND ONE SUITABLE LOCATION FOR REPAIR NEARBY. IT IS 450 METRES NORTHEAST.
"Alright..." Aria lead the way, with Arif's optics holographically overlaying the path ahead of them.
Arif followed along, before seeing everyone at the ice cream.
"HEY FRIENDS!" Arif greeted them enthusiastically. "Ice cream!"
ARIF YOU ARE VEERING OFF COURSE. Aria beeped, infuriated.
Arif purchased a caramel-ghajula ice cream, licking it. It reminded him of home.
"So, this is space ice cream...?" he says, turning to the others.
Ice Cream Stand
Chris grins like he's the luckiest man in the universe and nuzzles against both of his boyfriends, "That was neat, baby. We'd better get a move on, loves, or else this ice cream is gonna melt and screw up my arm. And I'm still not a fan of mechanics digging around in there. And we do have new crewmembers to meet."Chris smiles at Kyerine's amused amazement and then turns and waves the the approaching figures, "Hey, Arif, Aria, how's it hangin'?"
Training Room
"I know he's there.. and that he'll be back.. just harder to reach him now without invading your and his privacy. And, er, speaking of the difference in physicality.. you're probably going to feel some things kinda unfamiliar to you, ya know? Unless you experienced them via Jiko."edited 20th May '16 12:17:32 PM by GhostElm
Training Room
"How thoughtful. Not that you'd find anything from me you wouldn't find from him," says Kijo, setting down the dumbbell and rolling that particular shoulder. He smirks when she mentions physicality, and it is one thing that the two seem to share (the fact that they have the same body not withstanding).
"Oh yeah?" he says with a glance, but his gaze falls forward mere moments after. "I am quite familiar with all of the limits of this body. Well, more or less. He's never really tapped into my side of things,so I can't say what it can take in that area. Either way, there's not a lot new for me other than that. Not even what you two did."
Troperia Bridge > Hallway leading to Training Room:
Eventually Torvahk Grevom would get sick of looking at the map he was using to browse various different rooms throughout the Troperia. He decided to head in the direction of the training room, hoping that it had Virtual Reality capabilities as he didn't wish to expend the scarce amount of real ammo he had that would probably be impossible to find and very difficult to recreate at this point. The alien figured that the training room would be one of his most important areas to visit on the ship, rightfully thinking that in order to be an effective member of security that he'd need to keep up his reflexes and physique through a strict training regiment much like the one he had back in the Mehketaran Army.

SYSTEMS OK, THANK YOU. WE ARE ON OUR WAY TO PERFORM MAINTANANCE TO SUPPORT MY CRITICAL FUNCTIONS.
Arif nodded. "Aria just needs some patching up." He eats some of the ice cream.
ADDITIONALLY, ACCORDING TO MY KNOWLEDGE BASE, THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THIS FOODSTUFF AND THE TERRESTRIAL COUNTERPART TO IT, IS THAT THIS FOODSTUFF IS MANUFACTURED IN SPACE.
"Uh... Okay."
ARIF WE MUST RESTORE MY STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY. Aria could wizz off ahead, but that is against her protocols.
Arif nodded and waved goodbye to everyone. Aria rolled ahead of him, walking a short while until they got to the store.
UNITED ROBOTICS RESTORE POINT
"Well, I guess UR give carte-blanche to these places." Going through the doors, they see clean, minimalist design; shelves lined with robotics parts, components, and a few people buzzing around.
"Hello sir, and..." the shop assistant paused, as if waiting for something. "Autonomous Robotic Intelligence Assistant. How can I help you today?" He smiled warmly.
"Yeah, I just need some diagnostics and some repairs done on the Aria, if that's okay?"
"That's fine. If you would just like to head to the back of the store to our repair room."
Aria and Arif followed his instructions, arriving at a room in the back. It was fitted with a platform in the middle, several screens, and a large chair.
DEFECTIVE UNIT SHOULD BE PLACED IN THE CENTAL PLATFORM
Aria beeped grumpily at being called defective, but she rolled to the platform. Two arms came down from the ceiling and scanned her.
A readout on the screens appeared.
