Wikiwand style hover for definition?

Wikiwand changes wikipedias layout and adds some useful features, specifically the ability to hover over links and show their first paragraph. Have a gander at google images.

I know Tv Tropes is long form and informal, so this isn't always going to cut it, but the tabs unopened and man-hours saved will change the lives of countless millions.

If the site cant be changed, perhaps a chrome extension could be made much like wikiwand?

Doing a bit of "bug wrangling" here: ~ribblle, is this request about creating a Wikiwant like extension or about displaying page text of linked pages upon hovering over the link?

Might be better to use the laconic than the first paragraph

Unfortunately, the admins have said that such a change may reduce our pageviews to an unacceptable degree (revenue-wise), so it can't/won't be done. Sorry!
