The banner ad at the top of the page loads after the thread list or article contents do, which pushes the page down, which causes me to mis-click a lot. The problem is especially bad in forum view, because there are so many links close together; and especially bad on a mobile device, because the delay until and size of the move are both greater.

Can the space for the ad at the top of the page be "reserved" at the beginning of the page load, or something, so that doesn't happen?

It certainly is annoying. I'll see if we can reserve the space so the page is not adjusted when the ad loads.

~rodneyAnonymous, is this still an issue? Because if so, it needs to be reported in the Query Bugs noticeboard.

No, the space is "reserved" in the new layout.
