josuke is legitimately better than all three previous jojo's imo
joseph's overrated (and so is battle tendency, although i still like them)
part 4 in general is much better in the character writing department than the previous three parts, because araki actually started paying attention to the characterization and drama more from that part onward
jojo is not really something you go to for subtlety unless you're talking about part 7 onwards

Ace Attorney: I really want to say there's no reason for this to exist. The entire point of the games is to make the cases simple enough for any player to solve on their own and feel their own personal eureka moment that they immediately apply by presenting the proper evidence (except in some unfortunate situations where you have to present the wrong evidence first to make the story flow properly, but no one said they're perfect). In an anime though, that just makes for a really stupid and obvious mystery that serves no real point whatsoever.
That said, the staging was absurd enough to make me smirk so I guess they did something right. I probably won't look forward to watching it though, in the off chance I don't off-handedly drop it.
Kagewani: Shou - Wasn't expecting a second season of this but it is still as interesting as the previous season if you can get past the animation style.
Terra Formars: Revenge - Unlike Kagewani, this wasn't like the previous season, seeming to have had a massive beget cut and is lacking in any gore. There also seems more comedy than the previous season which is a little odd and not what I was expecting.
Ushio & Tora - Continuing on in the same vane as its previous season, although with an amnesia plot twist. Seems like it will be as entertaining as ever.

Luluco: An absurdist comedy short by Trigger. It makes little sense but I found it pretty funny. It stays for now.
Mayoiga: It's like being trapped in a bus full of weird, annoying people. The first episode was not so good, but I think I'll watch the second one at least, just to see how crazy this is gonna get.
MAN~! THE JOJO ANIME WAS HYPE!!!
Sadly the Ace Attorney anime was kinda boring....
But there are some more anime that I'm looking forward to!!!
Mayoiga is going to be a train wreck, but with a cast full of crazies it is going to be an interesting train wreck.
Jo Jo and Kagewani manage to live up to their predecessors.
Endride is something I decided to watch just because there aren't many shows airing yet. And the most memorable part is Mr. Big Bad fighting with a giant paper clip
.
Mayoiga just seems too heavy handed in its presentation to be taken seriously. I'll keep watching but have not that much hope when in a sense all the people in that bus might as well be chuuni imbeciles.

OH GOD WHY AM I A CAR!? - ForzareLet's see...
- Ace Attorney: Well, it's certainly a faithful adaptation. Right down to the sound effects and camera angles. If the games had animated cutscenes, I imagine they would have been copied down to the last pixel here. Well, if nothing else, it makes playing the game unnecessary? Assuming it doesn't suddenly do its own thing halfway through, anyway.
- The Lost Village: I kind of figured this was supposed to be silly, just going by half these people's names. It should be a lot of fun.
- The Asterisk War: Still pretty entertaining, and didn't waste time recapping stuff. Always a plus.
- Space Patrol Luluco: Wasn't really sure what to expect from this, aside from massive amounts of Trigger. First episode managed to entertain, so I'll keep watching.
- Re:ZERO - Starting Life In Another World: Boy gets sent to a fantasy world. WITH A TWEEEEEST. And a double-length episode, so that's twice the fun. I dunno why, but I loved Subaru and Satella's interactions, plus Felt and Rom were pretty entertaining too. Really hope that doesn't change, given what's actually going on here.
- Kuma Miko: ...I'm torn between finding this surprisingly amusing, or being horrified by the last quarter's "bears sleep with sacrificial virgins/shrine maidens" jokes. Hopefully that won't be a thing throughout.
Not many people seem to have liked Luluco... Well, I did. It was dumb, cute fun exactly as I thought. Funny also how it exaggerated the "I Just Want to Be Normal" angle. As a monster girl fan I'm waiting for the arrival of the half-alien girl, Midori.
I also already have a theory about it: When in the promo Luluco saw the boy she likes, she said it was like a "big bang". He's named Alpha Omega, that is, the Beginning and End. He's probably a super-powerful entity able to erase and re-create the universe at will.

"Effective Altruism" is just another bunch of horsesh*t.Re:ZERO - Starting Life In Another World: ninety percent of this was great and the interactions between protag and main squeeze felt pleasantly konoSuba-esque, but why didn't somebody established as genry savy not figure out what was going on as soon as it happened?

Pan de Peace: A fairly accurate adaptation of the manga. Which is to say, mediocre
Re:Zero: The purely anime aspects are quite strong— The art is detailed, there's a sense of life to the locales, and the direction works well. The problem is that the dialogue (and monologue. MC talks to himself a lot) is awful
Kuma Miko: Bears, cuteness, talking bears, rustic setting, sexy stuff...involving bears. What more do you need?
The bear has a wonderful singing voice.
Endride: Watched half the first episode and found it strangely awkward, may or may not check it out again later on.
Lululco: Well then. I'll continue watching for now. The ED is good.
Gyakuten Saiban: Bringing back the nostalgia. I've read all the V Ns released stateside, but I'm used to the English localization. Since the cases get much better with time, I look forward to seeing more as the show goes on! And to seeing Maya and Pearl and Gumshoe and Edgeworth and everybody! ^_^
Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.Mayoiga: When I first started watching, I thought it was gonna be like "ah, everyone's an unlikeable jerk, why bother watching?" But, I am actually very intrigued by all the mystery and the atmosphere!
Train wreck as in bad anime, or train wreck as in shit goes down people die? Both?
So long as it's entertaining, well, y'know, that's that.
- Re: Zero: Boku Dake, meet Konosuba. This time starring Megumin as main half-elf heroine and with excellent direction, showing that the a fairly generic premise can be turned into gold. The double-length pilot is already better than most of Winter's offerings and I hope it will continue for the next 24-5 episodes.
- Boku no Hero Academia: Along with Luluco, this season has no shortage of amusing reaction faces. Fairly classic plot so far and strongly resembles OPM (perhaps intentionally). Looks enjoyable enough for me to stay.
- Phoenix Wright: I already doubted that PW can work as an anime and I was right. For anyone who haven't played the game, please stay away from this anime, I beg you, and play the games instead.
- Kumamiko: Besides the rocking ED it's a fairly simple, nice show which will compete with Flying Witch in genre.
I see this season is shaping up to be really good.

IT BEGINS
Mayoiga: Kind of ridiculous? Like, it's well enough made, but the personalities are too extreme to take seriously. Still, not an immediate write-off for me. Episode was mostly set-up, after all
Luluco: Yeah, this isn't my speed
Jojo: Better production values and visual artistry this time, and the plot looks like it might have potential. On the other hand, it still has zero subtlety and I think I hate the main character
