This thread is dedicated to image suggestions for pages without pics (including those where previous images were pulled by Image Pickin').
Guidelines
- Please read How to Pick a Good Image and Just a Face and a Caption before suggesting an image. Additionally, make sure to source the image in your post.
- If you have multiple suggestions you'd like to field for a single page, that can merit its own thread. Otherwise, use this thread.
- It is recommended that you upload your suggestions as you would like them to be formatted on the page.
- A crowner will be generated by a moderator. with suggestions which will be voted on as normal. Crowners will run for up to 7 days.
- Each crowner will generally contain 12-15 items, but may have up to 20 if there's a backlog of suggestions. Please do not add items to a crowner once it's running.
- After 3 days, anything with votes at +10 or more and a ratio of at least 2:1 can be added to the page.
- After 5 days, anything with votes at +7 or more and a ratio of at least 2:1 can be added to the page.
- After 7 days, all remaining crowner items with a positive ratio of at least 2:1 will be added, all items below the 2:1 ratio will be rejected, and the crowner will be closed.
- Suggestions will generally be processed and added to crowners in the order they come into the thread.
Crowners on this thread do not count towards the Image Pickin' Special Cases Multiple Threads rule (which applies to "pages that have had three or more IP threads").
Templates
- Selected images will be tagged using this template (which goes above the image):
%% crowner link
%% Please do not change or remove without starting a new thread.
- If one or more previous images on the page were pulled, those forum links should remain on the page as well, but the accompanying templates should be replaced by:
- Captions selected by crowner will be tagged using this template (which goes under the image caption):

I'm puzzled by the objection. If you are familiar enough with The Simpsons to know Springfield is wacky enough to have a Golden Age pirate captain in the modern day, you should also be familiar enough to know that the man in the picture is the 200+ year old town founder, Jebediah Springfield.
But if you are not familiar with the Simpsons, the image shows a modern child looking at an ol-timey wanted poster for a pioneer and a pirate. The article's header next to it makes it even more obvious.
That being said, I can post suggestions from other shows between today and tomorrow.

I'm familiar enough to know that it's a silly cartoon where silly things happen. Why would that suggest I'm up on the lore of random characters? Heck, until now nobody even pointed out the founder, everyone was more focused on the clothing and paper's appearance. I'm not alone in thinking it's weak, but others also think it works, so I guess it should go on the crowner for the true answer.

I've seen the episode, I know the truth about it—I was just trying to take the perspective of someone who hadn't known too much about the show before. So yeah.
Being the founder of the town is irrelevant to the discussion, hence why I didn't really bring it up; it could be anyone from a hundred or so years ago.

I think the idea is that someone with an unfamiliar perspective of the show would just think that guy was an ancient pirate/explorer at face value.
You can't have "maybe it's a silly character because the Simpsons does it all the time" as an unfamiliar take, because you're acknowledging familiarity by being aware of what the Simpsons does.

The bare minimum of familiarity because it's one of the most famous and longest running shows of all time. Again, I genuinely do not see how that would translate into knowing actual lore about anything, especially being able to recognize a random ass character on a poster that I already said I thought Lisa herself was hanging up. You guys are trying to poke holes in logic that isn't even an attempt at a "gotcha", it's just genuinely what the image looks like to me with the knowledge I actually have.

Not a big fan of captions that are just quoting something else, especially not on work pages.
Let's focus on the images first before discussing the captions. Use this thread
instead
For Family Theme Naming: a tiny part of this fanart
of A Song of Ice and Fire by this artist
. (They released a crop/detail separately
)

Extremely Cold Case again, but with a quote and the black line cropped out:
Or more accurate to the plot:

Here's my suggestion for Funny.Party Crashers with a caption tied to it this time:

You'll need to start a seperate Image Pickin'
thread if you have multiple suggestions.
In light of Jurassic World: Chaos Theory being out recently, here's my suggestion for NightmareFuel.Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous:
