The reddit post links to the website for these numbers but I got a forbidden screen.

Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup threadWell, let’s see how FF is doing in a month. It’s at least gotta make more than Thunderbolts.
Even if this is evidence of SuPeRhErO fAtIgUe (bleh) we’d at least need to wait and see how Supergirl and Spider-Man perform next year.

You’re Gonna Carry That Weight.Movie does well = no superhero fatigue.
Movie doesn't do well = better see how the next one does.
MCU is 3 for 3 this year as far as Box office disappointments go. It's sad but that's what it is.

IT HAS ONLY BEEN TWO WEEKS can we not call this a flop until it’s out of theatres?
You’re Gonna Carry That Weight.Again, let’s wait and see instead of calling films disappointments early on.
It may just be that DC does better than Marvel for a bit. Hardly Superhero Fatigue.

You’re Gonna Carry That Weight.David Zaslav himself began the DC victory lap as early as Superman's opening weekend and the hero's welcome James Gunn and co received at SDCC despite Superman just reaching $500 million at that time and treating it as if it was a billion dollars kind of indicates they're seeing something that neither the Box Office Redditor nor the ones still stuck in 2010s box office mentality are seeing.

Set! Avenge! "Henshin." Black General! Bujin Sword! Ready, Fight!I mean the hero's welcome was def more of a sign of the movie actually being very good, and that it was the first good Superman movie in decades.
"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"Good. Because if The MCU has to fizzle out for a while, l’d at least like DC to keep the fire burning.

Reminder that Batman Begins had 150 mil budget against a 375 mil box office. That less than what Superman has now and while that was two decades ago, it inspired interest for Dark Knight to push a billion. Superman doesnt need to make the most money in the world, it needs to kickstart confidence in the brand.

Pantheon server for all who click here. Lost too much money and time, this coaster ain’t stopping. We should also get rid of the mentality that it's a flop if it doesn't reach a billion dollars or if it doesn't make triple its budget after a week. It's not the 2010s anymore.
Set! Avenge! "Henshin." Black General! Bujin Sword! Ready, Fight!I’d love that. It’d means more movies could have chances.

You’re Gonna Carry That Weight.Nobody does that beyond strawman. Doom posting by those against comic book movies in general aside, the general consensus on Box office subreddit is that Superman is a moderate success.
A moderate success I can live with. And yeah, there’s a lot of anti-superhero snobs on Box Office Reddit.

They must be those hate-monkeys kidnapped by Doom.
Pantheon server for all who click here. Lost too much money and time, this coaster ain’t stopping.Even a few here on this site began doomposting and declaring Fantastic Four's cursed as soon as the box office drop is 67%. Hollywood Press has been widely reporting the box office drop as well as if the sky's falling on Marvel's head. And these are mainstream press such as Variety and Hollywood Reporter, not tabloid rags such as worldofreel.

Set! Avenge! "Henshin." Black General! Bujin Sword! Ready, Fight!Sites want click bait, but using the opening weekend and second week drops to calculate the final total is mostly reliable outside of anomalies.(Emphasis on this, you can hope, but not expect that your desired movie be an anomaly)
To me, there is a narrative agenda at play if the press is making an obsession with Friday's box office as oppose to the weekend earnings, which is what you should do if you want a non-bias accounting of the box office earnings.
Mainly because a lot of people can't tell the difference between Friday and Weekend box office headlines.

The actual number for F4's second weekend 38.7 million
67% drop.
