I am VERY mixed on his approach to original animated films. I understand pushing IP but you gotta build new franchises too!
At least adapt some books or comics or something! We cannot dine on SpongeBob and Smurfs alone!

You’re Gonna Carry That Weight.…Okay you have a point. In my defense, the reviews were kinda bleh.
But the point remains. You gotta invest in new things as well as the old.
If you need to use IP, there are comics and books you can adapt. Like maybe Lumberjanes, if things don’t work out with WB there. Or they could give Bone another try.

You’re Gonna Carry That Weight. It's easy to say that when its not you investing millions on movies. Sure I understand demanding this from Disney and even Dreamworks but not everyone has such deep pockets. And again, its not like he Zaslav'd movies out of existance.
EDIT: Ah, I see that added part and I agree... but Paramount would have never been my first choice to adapt Lumberjanes anyway.
EDIT 2: I actually have to say NO ABSOLUTELY NO to Paramount adapting Bone.

As long as this flower is in my heart. My Strength will flow without end.
I’m sure they’ve matured from the last time they tried! Different leadership and more filmmakers familiar with the material.
Failing that, maybe another video game adaptation. Like a Hat in Time or something. Personally, I would love to see them do a live-action Persona but that’s an aside. We’re focusing on animation.
You’re Gonna Carry That Weight.Mate, the CEO directed NORBIT. They are literally better off NOT adapting ANYTHING that requires actual talent and quality.
EDIT: If you dont know Norbit, it is a GODAWFUL movie. Like REALLY godawful. I know you want to have faith and believe they can do good but sometimes you just have to wake up and face reality-
As long as this flower is in my heart. My Strength will flow without end.I just read the article. I’m wondering what films he considered commercial outside of Nickelodeon and Hasbro.
You’re Gonna Carry That Weight.Wait, WHAT? The guy who directed that movie is the CEO of Paramount?! That's... certainly a career path.
Disney100 Marathon | DreamWorks MarathonHoping Dead Reckoning Part One picks up the slack next weekend. Hopefully its next drop isn't so bad. Saw it, thought it was GREAT and that it's my FAVORITE movie of the year so far.
We'll see how Barbenheimer falls/fairs this weekend. While I don't expect Barbie to drop much, if Oppenheimer dropping more so boosts Dead Reckoning Part One, that'd be ideal.
As for Barbenheimer, meaning to see each one soon. Both sound like they each got a lot to offer—to varying levels though.
I saw MI yesterday, can confirm it was great. I planned on doing a Barbenheimer double feature but my brother did one and told me it ended up being more exhausting than fun (though he liked both). I'll probably just see one at a time. I'm off work tomorrow, so I might knock one out then. Haven't decided which, I'll probably flip a coin or something.
Disney100 Marathon | DreamWorks MarathonMission Impossible just strikes me as that vanilla flavor of action movies nowadays. The "Consistently good, but unable to be great" niche. It needs some spice to up the game for me. Back when I was a kid the spice was blood and muscle as Arnold and Sylvester rocketed back and forth and nowadays I guess it's Superheroes or Carjacking.
Everyone's been taking Ls this Summer but Paramount seems to be the studio completely unable to dig up even a single W. Guess a lot of eyes are on Mutant Mayhem.

You are not alone. They’re already announcing a sequel. So fingers are crossed.
I bought tickets for the sneak peek Saturday. Also apparently they are open to a D & D sequel as long as they can do it cheaper.
You’re Gonna Carry That Weight.
Yeah I figured Spiderverse was basically standing alone atop a mountain of tentpole corpses until recently.

Dn D getting a sequel would be a dream. That movie fucks in the best possible ways. I don't know if you could do a better version of that film honestly. I know the film's doing great on streaming so at least a lot of people are actually watching it.
The Scrappy of the Trope Pantheon, God of Thumps
The movie does fuck but Paramount didnt want anyone to know that.
Also, I do think NORBIT man is along the same lines as Zaslav since he also followed the, “Tax cut beam” technique Zaslav showed everyone.
Pantheon server for all who click here. Lost too much money and time, this coaster ain’t stopping.
The Scrappy of the Trope Pantheon, God of Thumps
Not tax cut the Dnd movie, I mean tax cut some shows off Paramount.
I know a good chunk of those shows weren't good but no work deserves to be culled from distribution just to sage for a yacht.
Pantheon server for all who click here. Lost too much money and time, this coaster ain’t stopping.Good, because that's not the movie I meant either. I meant that weird Under The Boardwalk animated film. And I didnt argue about any shows. I feel bad if they are getting written off, but I wasnt talking or even knew about those.

I... Actually do agree with him a lot on this. He's FAR from being a Zaslav clone, all these seem reasonable.
