Honestly that sounds like a step down from siccing his viwers on whoever's making the accusations.

Is that why the subreddit is now inundated with "Gremlin" memes?

If the video is to be believed he's being stalked IRL, sent weird threatening packages at his home address, swatted, and is at risk of losing his day job. I think he's at least a little justified.

Well, like what one commenter said on the Youtube video, it's quite possible that in his highly stressed-out and depressed state, Yandere Dev might have genuine trouble telling the genuine critics from the "gremlins" that are harassing him. In fact, it appears some of his critics did perceive this video as lumping them together with the gremlins (whether or not that was his intention, we don't know), and many of them reacted with outrage at that notion.

Speaking solely for myself, I feel like he's forgetting something very crucial: While the gremlins do indeed take utmost pleasure in being acknowledged, it's also true that they tend to get just as pissed off when people reject their propaganda and instead rally around and defend the target of the abuse, especially if it starts to drown out the aforementioned propaganda.

Yandere Dev doesn't need to stoop down to the gremlins' level. Let the fandom take up that sword, vent their outrage on the bastards and debunk their bogus "claims" on the battlefield of the Internet, smear them instead. Because it's only fun to do the smearing until the tables are turned against you.

Unfortunately, until the game actually sees real progress the people supporting it won't outnumber the people wondering where Osana is.

And even unfortunately, it appears that he's sliding into a full-blown Creator Breakdown already, if this Twitter conversation that I've found a link to on the main YanSim subreddit is telling the truth. To sum it up, the two conversing actually tried to talk him into taking a break (from social media at least, maybe everything except working on the game and his real life) over the past few days to wind down, but apparently he will not be swayed and is allegedly planning to release another "drama video" because he opted for the minority option on his own polls... which apparently isn't the first time he did such a thing.

I... am honestly at loss.

I mean, to me the tipping point was when he made his own official subreddit so that he could delete negative posts as a mod, since he didn't like the criticism on the original subreddit. That was definitely the point where I saw that his attitude towards social media detractors was pretty unhealthy.

And if Marq is correct, not only is he not doing the healthy thing and taking a break from social media, he's supposedly planning to make another video about it.

I'm only reporting what I saw was being said in the Twitter conversation, so it's rather "If the source Marq is pulling the information from is correct".

Man. Well, that makes the point made up there Harsher in Hindsight.

He's lying/embellishing in that post, by the way. Yan Dev admitted on Discord that he paid the mods thousands of dollars to give him the subreddit. The mods themselves mentioned that the reason things got so out of hand was because they didn't have enough free time to properly manage the sub, not because of a shady conspiracy of harassment.
