My sheet's gonna be a work in progress, at least until there's more information on the other groups.
- Name: Catherine Byrne
- Alias(es): CAT-H8, no. 12
- Age: Appears to be in her mid-twenties. Actually about 10 years old.
- Race: Supposedly Human Synthetic Gynoid, a sophisticated biomechanical artificial prototype
- Gender: Female Though Artificial, she's fully functional and anatomically correct
as far as any one is concerned
- Appearance: Catherine, or Cat/Cathy to her friends, stands at exactly 5'9" tall with a svelte but athletic frame and long, elegant legs. She is stunningly beautiful, an understated hourglass figure and alabaster skin marred only by a few freckles and blemishes, a few calluses on her hands. She has no tattoos and her only scar is a neat line on the back of her neck - Cathy believes it was from a childhood accident, however in truth it simply covers up a computer port. Her face is friendly with blue-green eyes and a wry smile often resting on her soft lips, her wavy red hair is long and kept in a loose bun with a few stray locks perpetually falling on her face.
- Despite her 'natural' beauty, Cat mostly hides it behind her work overalls and grease or dirt. She hardly ever uses make up, not that she particularly needs it, especially since she spends most of her time around the machines she fixes as a opposed to human company. When not at work she prefers simple clothes, T-shirt and jeans with practical steel-toed boots.
- Though Catherine looks completely human at first glance, beneath her skin she is purely robotic in construction and, as she lacks cells in the traditional sense (or the associated DNA, so prone to errors) doesn't age. Her materials are biomechanically based, however, with structures similar to conventional organs and requiring oxygen, water and food to power herself. That being said, she processes them with greater efficiency and requires less than a normal human, able to survive longer without them as well. Her 'bones' are carbon fiber composites, internal structures generally mixtures of polymers and nano-structured gels interwoven with conductive pathways and sensors, a blood-like liquid used to transport required nutrients throughout (Albeit naturally blue, pigmented later to become more reddish). As a result she is more durable than most organic life though regenerates from injury at a slower rate, generally requiring conventional repair. In terms of other distinguishing features from organic people, Catherine's core body temperature is roughly room temperature as opposed to the normal 37.5 degrees Celsius. Her pulse is also very low when resting, though many athletes have similar phenomena.
- Abilities & Skills:
Active/Known Abilities - Near Genius Intellect - Catherine is exceptionally bright and of a quick wit, learning and applying her understanding with ease. Though not a true genius, nor necessarily the smartest person in the world she is rather creative and fond of improving or creating her own mechanical inventions. She is attentive to what people say, do and try to hide and can apply good deductive reasoning when the situation calls for it, quite curious at all times. Cathy does her best not to flaunt her intellect, however, and tends to pretend she knows far less than is truthful allegedly because she dislikes attention.
- Engineering/Computational Expertise - Catherine appears to have been highly trained in mechanical, electronic and software engineering though she insists she has received no formal training. She believes it was her father that taught her these skills and has quite a talent for design, tinkering with her own programs and devices in her spare time. Cathy feels very comfortable around mechanical beings and artificial life, very good at repairing robots or computers or many different makes or builds. She enjoys programming and is an exceptional hacker of security systems, though rarely advertises this.
- Artificial Durability - While she has taken precautions to forget her true, synthetic nature Catherine nevertheless retains the durability and benefits of her artificial body. Her carbon nanofibre composite endoskeleton is stronger than steel but as light or lighter than bone, the composite gel-polymer of her internal also fairly resistant to impact. The polymer covering that acts as her skin is somewhat harder to cut than that of organic people but not particularly difficult to damage. She is immune to most poisons and drugs though some do affect her metabolic functions, despite their unique format. Cathy is able to repair damage via nanomachines that cohabit her body, like white blood cells and self-replicating. However, this healing is often slower than in humans and more serious damage requires external intervention and/or specialized materials. She is susceptible to EMP and other weaponry targeted at synthetic artificial life though can be more resistant than others due to her unique design.
- Artificial Athleticism - Catherine's muscles are composed of durable fiber and sophisticated molecular motors, overall capable of greater strength, speed and endurance than humans. Not designed for physical jobs, Cathy's athleticism is above average as far as human capability, possibly on par with organic athletes despite her lack of training.
- Override Command Failsafe - As human-like, independent and sentient as Catherine acts her mind was nonetheless programmed and designed by people. As giving complete free-will to a physically superior gynoid was deemed too dangerous, a command to enable immediate deactivation and reprogramming of CAT-H8 was introduced. Dr. Brayne was one of the few to know this command, it not falling into the hands of her kidnappers. However, advanced programmers with access to her central processing unit may be able to find and activate this command.
- Direct Computer Interface - While the access port is currently covered by her 'scar' and skin, Catherine can link directly to computer terminals and other compatible ports in electronic devices. This enables faster, better hacking and data mining from said devices, uploading of data or direct control. During this she is vulnerable, however, as her senses and body are inactive during more complex procedures.
- Sensory Control/Expansion - When aware of her synthetic nature Catherine is able to access the higher range and sensitivity of her artificial senses. She can hear, see and feel (via tactile means) a wider range of stimuli and at lower amplitude, able to see into the ultraviolet and near-infrared spectra and hear almost as well as certain animals. Cathy can switch off her sense of pain completely.
- Inventory:
- Simple Locket: Supposedly belonged to Cathy's deceased mother, always wears it. Actually is a sort of literal memory stick, containing the memories of Catherine's past and true nature. Removing the photos reveals a port to connect with her own.
- Tool Box: Rarely goes anywhere without this smallish, plstic case filled with basic mechanic's tool and a few electronic or computational devices for repair and hacking.
- Stun Baton: Catherine's shop and home are in a rough part of town, one where you can't afford to go out without some form of protection. The baton is retractable but, when extended is a little over a foot in length and electrified at the end.
- Smart Watch: Looks like an old fashioned wrist watch but is capable of calls, text, GPS, internet access and, of course, telling the time. Catherine's own design.
- Wallet: Contains a few ID cards, very little cash and an alarm that goes off when any one tries to open it without holding a particular section. Cathy lives in a rough part of town and can never be too careful with money.
- Backstory:
- Conception: Since Kyle Jones and the unmasking of novel, advanced levels of knowledge previously undreamed Kaiser-Neo had arisen to push the frontier of human development and technology - and not always in mutually exclusive terms. The particular obsession of many amongst their number was the design of artificial lifeforms - some sentient and some not; some organic and others synthetic. Many were created as tools and servants to the causes of man but Dr. Byrne endeavored to create a synthetic lifeform close to humans but better. A new kind of human. Years of research followed, both in the structural composition of artificial humans and, perhaps more importantly, the development of personality algorithms, neural networks, synthetic brains and other simulacrums of human thought. This would become Catherine, then designated 'CAT-H8'.
- As Homunculus: CAT was the latest in a line of increasingly human-like biomechnical artificials architected by Dr. Byrne, a highly sophisticated prototype. Almost the first year of her life, if it could be termed as such, was occupied with tests and challenges on her physical and mental capabilities. Not to mention the question of whether she was truly sentient or simply acting out a program that made her seem 'alive'. Nevertheless, CAT proved herself to be very intelligent and curious, Dr. Byrne came to be quite fond of her. He started to teach her about robotic, mechanic, electronics... Eventually she began to assist him in future projects, the older scientist seeing her as almost like a daughter.
- Unfortunately, Byrne's department of Kaiser-Neo had a few employees with ulterior motives. They had connections to a criminal organisation specializing in the exploitation and selling of artificals, paid to smuggle out new designs and the occasional whole 'product'. They pretended there was a malfunction or an accident that destroyed the robot to cover their tracks. Four years after her creation, the success of CAT-H8's model was apparent and the traitorous employees attempted to leak Byrne's designs. However, the doctor discovered them in the middle of hacking his files and was killed in the resulting struggle. CAT tried to stop them as well but they knew her weakness to EMP, knocking out her electronics while they disposed of Byrne's body. They couldn't continue working in Kaiser-Neo but took CAT and sold her to the organisation to cut their losses.
- As Plaything: CAT-H8 was the most realistic artificial the crime bosses had seen and, unfortunately for her, was designed to be aesthetically pleasing. They shipped her off to one of their brothels, making sure to keep her inactive until the heat died down. There were many attempts to reprogram the unit like they did with most other that posed a risk, but her design and neural network was to complex for it to be successful. CAT tried to escape many times before realising its futility - they were well prepared for dealing with artificials and no one would help someone like her. So, she played along and pretended the reprogramming worked for 3 years. She went by any name the clients wanted, only called 'no. 12' by her 'employers' and fulfilling whatever sordid little fantasy the scum that paid had.
- Escape and Erasure: She had almost lost hope of escape, of being anything more than a plaything for the crime syndicate and its customers when opportunity struck. One of the crime bosses at the brothel decided to employ CAT-H8's 'services', forgetting he still had his gun in his pocket and falling asleep shortly afterwords. Seizing the moment, she took the side arm and strangled the boss - firing would have caused too much attention, and she was stronger than she looked. She proceeded to shoot her way through the rest of the criminals running the building that had been her prison for 3 years in a bloody massacre. The syndicate was bigger than a dingy little brothel, people would come for her head - CAT had to escape. The gynoid stole every cent she could from the dead men, used her hacking skills to gut their bank accounts and fled the state. It wouldn't be enough to run and she didn't feel she could return to Kaiser-Neo, but she had a plan. She found a skilled roboticist, one sympathetic to exploited artificials and gained his help - they changed her features, manufactured a past, a name and memories and she used her funds to buy up a small, two-story shop in a new city. Finally, the part that needed external help, she erased her memories of her past and her synthetic nature. A copy was kept in a faux locket in case the truth was discovered.
- Catherine: CAT-H8 became Catherine Byrne, a young mechanic in a rough part of the city from a small town in Canada. She believes her family died in a house fire 3 years ago, prompting her to immigrate to America and start up her own business using the inheritance. She lives in the top floor of her shop 'Byrne's Bots & Bolts', repairing and tinkering with all manner of mechanical devices from toasters to artificial limbs as well as the occasional programming gig. After a year she started helping out, then joining the Cybernetic Underground as her empathy with non-organic life continued beyond her memory erasure. Cathy mostly supports from the sidelines, fixing up or adapting new technologies they acquire or writing hacking programs.
- Theme Songs: Just for giggles...

“Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?”Its all easy to understand the Groups. Kaiser-Neo is a leading company in the science game (primarily Artificials), Genesis Seed is an Eldon group believing everyone should have access to the same tech, the Artifium are Arts fed up with humanity's abuse, and Cybernetics Unbound is something of a police force crossbred with gangs.
"The Omniverse is the collection of all possibilities, and all possibilities must eventually come to pass."- Name: Vincent Mercer
- Alias(es):
- No Mercy - When entering drinking contests.
- Death Dealer - If drug dealers distributes drugs then a death dealer distributes death.
- Age: 43
- Gender: Male
- Race: Human
- Appearance: http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/bladerunner/images/5/59/BladeRunner_PC_Game_%28Front_Cover%29.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20051217125108
- Abilities & Skills:
- Marksmanship: A reasonably experienced shooter.
- Quick Draw: One of the fastest drawers around the world.
- Reaction Time: He can perceive a threat and neutralize it by the time an ordinary human would have recognized it.
- Physical Fitness: Above average, but well below an athlete's fitness. His job is to find and shoot criminals and chase them while driving cars, not run after them.
- Improvised Weapons Maker: He can make bombs out of his own piss. He can brew up a deadly and untraceable poison with the right plants. He can even blow up an entire block using a bottle of vodka. (I was kidding with the last one.
) This only comes into effect if he has lots of time to think and if the right materials are in place.
- High Alcoholic Tolerance: There is a reason why he's called, "No Mercy" when he enters into drinking contests. This comes in handy when talking to suspects who might spill the beans accidentally when drunk. If they refuse to take a drink, that's a clue in itself.
- Inventory: DUE TO THE SHEER AMOUNT OF AVAILABLE INVENTORY, VINCENT CAN ONLY CHOOSE A FEW ITEMS AT A TIME.
- (Note: You can ask why Vincent got each of these items in the first place. There's a story behind each one.)
- Unbreakable Fighting Umbrella, in case he can't bring his other weapons. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ozeDlXeEH78
- Gas Mask, he keeps one in his car.
- Combat Gloves, durable gloves that can withstand extremely hot temperatures.
- A picture of him smiling with several of his old colleagues who all died in their line of work. This is his most prized article, he keeps copies of it in his pocket, in his internet account, and around his house so he wouldn't lose it.
- An advanced Glock 50 that has three modes: semi-automatic, automatic and burst-fire. Semi-automatic allows you fire one shot at time, giving you the optimal chance for accuracy. Automatic allows you to shoot all your bullets at a target, ideally if the target is near. Burst-fire allows you to fire several shots off at a time, spreading the bullets everywhere, like a shotgun. (Note: Only the owner of the Glock 50 can fire this gun, otherwise this weapon would self-destruct in the person's hands if the wrong user squeezes the trigger.)
- Ammunition: Armor-piercing, spread-shot, high capacity. Armor piercing has a load of 20 bullets, and can burrow deep into the armor of its target if it doesn't penetrate it. Spread-shot is intended for dealing with multiple enemies at a time; it has a total of 10 modified bullets that function like a shotgun shell. High capacity can carry up to a load of 50 bullets at the cost of causing less damage; this is to serve as suppressing fire to keep a target from moving.
- Explosive Magazine, occasionally Vincent will leave a trap magazine for other people to pick up, only for it to blow up in their faces.
- Night vision goggles, whenever the place gets too dark for his liking.
- A pack of cigarettes that contain cyanide.
- A box of cigars that explode.
- Vincent likes to take the saying, "Smoking Kills." To new and incredible heights even though he drinks like crazy.
- A bottle of vodka.
- A couple of pills to drug someone to sleep.
- A couple of pills to spike someone's drink so that person would be more open to suggestions.
- A couple of pills that are actually traps, and they explode when you try to squeeze them.
- A small packet containing ricin to poison someone. The poison has no taste and it will take about a day and a half for the symptoms to show the effects. People would usually think that you died of natural causes, the perfect poison.
- A highly durable bulletproof trench coat. Perfect to hide multiple weapons. One of the pockets carries a notepad.
- Notepad, another trap. If you touch one of the papers, a deadly poison will seep through your skin. You'll need immediate medical attention to survive it.
- A tie that will automatically electrocute you if you grab it. This is because people with ties can get choked, this is a precaution.
- An undershirt that is resistant to electricity.
- An equally durable slacks, it carries nothing but his wallet.
- Wallet, is actually a trap that contains explosives.
- The wallet has a claymore that is modified to explode in one's face when its opened. Vincent usually says, "I knew your face was up for redecoration." When he's done with the thieves.
- Large boxer shorts that carries a concealed pistol within it. Said boxer shorts is as durable as the rest of his clothes.
- Concealed pistol, this is actually an extra Glock 50. If he happens to be reaching for something in his pants (this is pretty suggestive) he is actually... reaching for his gun.
- Groin Guard, to keep his dick safe.
- Suitcase, this actually carries a bomb that explodes when someone cracks open the lock. On one side it is written, Here be my diamonds.
- Smart Grenades, a grenade that quickly identifies artificial lifeforms and fires several explosive projectiles at it while it's mid-air. Vincent carries about 4 of them at a time. They can be altered to hit biological targets, but Vincent expects to hunt down machines not people.
- Stun Grenades, this can temporarily incapacitate an opponent with an extremely bright flash and a loud bang. Vincent carries around 2 of these at a time.
- Shoe Knife, knife underneath shoe.
- Shoe Bomb, he has an explosive there too.
- Impossibly resistant socks, it's hard for it to get wet and it's just as difficult to burn it. If Vincent is electrocuted, he would be saved by these socks, for it is resistant to electricity as well.
- Shock handcuffs, if the cuffed one tries to fiddle with it without the keys, he gets electrocuted.
- Artificial Life Scanner, an iphone that's designed to scan artificial life. It can play music too.
- It's an X-ray device that can see past your clothes and show if you really have a beating heart with all your internal organs in it. The strength of the X-ray can be adjusted accordingly if the person has lots of clothes on or has body armor. Once Vincent finds out that the person isn't organic but has a bunch of machinery to keep it in place, he'd know it's a cyborg. It has a camera that records all the pictures taken. Unfortunately, it does not explode like so many other of Vincent's devices. Occasionally, Vincent maliciously snaps photos of women passing by and he designs his own personal porn magazine.
- Wristwatch, an advanced one at that. It even contains a GPS.
- Performance enhancing drugs, using these would come at a severe cost to Vincent's health. He uses these as a last resort.
- A pack of condoms, every man has to be prepared for everything.
- Medical Report: I've decided that it would add some dimension to the character's personality if he some measure of past trauma.
- Post Traumatic Stress Disorder - He has experienced many life threatening situations to be able to life comfortably. This is permanent, even after suffering a temporary amnesia once he was always sad, it was as if the pain could never go away.
- Paranoid - He's always on edge, and thinks everybody's out to get him. (This explains why he has too many explosives.)
- Depression - He has been pushed to the verge of tragedy, at times he even thinks about taking his life. Sometimes he fails to stand up for himself because he thinks that he's worthless.
- Tinnitus - He can hear ringing in his ears because he fired guns too much. Due to this, he cannot hear as well as normal people.
- Alcoholism - He drinks away his sorrows when he's alone. In fact, he can't bear to be alone since he needs his work to keep his mind off the things that's happened to him.
- Backstory: Unaligned, available to the highest bidder.
- Overview: A fearsome bounty hunter whose name strikes fear into the hearts of everyone that even mention him. Vincent Mercer's paranoia is so lethal that the sane people that know him take cover behind a makeshift barricade before they converse with him. He prefers to solve cases by confronting his adversaries directly, for he does not believe in subtlety; he would rather face the undisguised horrors of the world head on than be tackled by a puzzle that spins his world around.
- Vincent hates lies so much that he is severely tempted to kill people for it. (This is rather ironic when he tends to dodge questions and answer with half-truths. Consider this a moral myopia.) This is another reason why he hates advertisements, and wants to shoot the TV with a 12-gauge shotgun and throw it into a burning pit. (Well, he's done this a few times to relieve the stress.)
- Vincent is a misanthropist, he hates everything including himself. There are a few things that he likes, such as sex and the occasional beer. When one remarks that beer tastes like piss, he'll reply that life is full of shit, so he'll take that crap anytime. When asked why he loves sex so much, he'll reply that every man is born between shit and piss and that we are the best pieces of shit ever despite being pieces of shit.
- There are few people he trusts, such as the guy who keeps bringing him beer. (Vincent pays him extra for making sure it's not poison.) The prostitutes that he... interacts with frequently, and that's about it. However, his favorite girl turned out to a gynoid that he had to take down, so he doesn't trust the hookers anymore. He trusts his family to a degree, but doesn't know what they're like since he's been away from them for so long.
- Early Days (Ages 0-19): Before becoming a bounty hunter, Vincent was a kid that grew up in a poor neighborhood in which people like him were treated like dirt. In his youth, he made friends, went out on dates, even graduated from high school in spite of having to work to pay his tuition. His parents desired the rich and glamorous life, so they borrowed from a bank and gambled their way to fortune, and the Mercer family was rich at first. Then they pushed their luck and lost all their money in one bet. Vincent had 3 other siblings that were working hard to keep them from declaring bankruptcy, but it wasn't enough to satisfy accounts, so Vincent took one of the most dangerous jobs on Earth that compensated with a decent paycheck that might just be enough to settle everything...
- He fell in love with a girl named Riley Williams. He didn't confess his love to her at this time for he was afraid that he would get rejected. They did date but Vincent never got around to it. Plus, when he found out his financial situation he had no time for love.
- Vincent got the job partly because he needed the money, mostly because he wanted to escape his tattered life.
- Imago - Hell on Earth (Ages 19-23): Vincent worked as a police officer in the city of Imago which housed every kind of lunatic and criminal you could think of. There were dirty cops, cultists, psychopaths, atoners, blood knights, and dark messiahs strewn all over the place. Of course, the Mercer family would never have accepted this if they found out that Vincent was working in such a hostile environment, but these were desperate measures for a desperate situation. At first he thought he chose this for the money, but later it was revealed that he chose this because he wanted to escape his miserable life in poverty and experience the thrill of being in a place where you could be the hunter that takes down his prey. In the end, he regretted his decision to come here in the first place. Shocked by this revelation, he shut out contact from his family because he thought they didn't need a monster for a son and ran away to another city where he took up bounty hunting because killing things was the only thing he was good at. His family tried to look for him, but they still had to pay the bills and they were so poor that nobody cared.
- From this he learned his Marksmanship from his police training. His Reaction Time developed during this time because people trying to stab you once in a while tends to keep you alert. He also developed his Quick Draw because officers who couldn't draw their pistol in short notice tended to not last long in the streets of Imago.
- Vincent started to drink alcohol as a consequence of witnessing the cruelty of Imago. (It was so bad that he wished he was in hell.) He couldn't enjoy the things he enjoyed before. He's seen things that no person should ever see. This caused him to adopt a melancholic personality that constantly suspects that people are up to no good.
- The New Bounty Hunter (Ages 23-28): Vincent started taking jobs as a bounty hunter that chased criminals down the street and blasted their brains off clean from their heads. The locals didn't take too kindly to his violent methods, so they picked him only when the situation was rough. Vincent's notoriety as a ruthless bounty hunter spread on from here.
- By chance, he met Riley Williams, his childhood love interest. She, now a he, has taken an operation that changed her gender into a male. Vincent only found this out when he confessed to him that he loved a certain Riley Williams in the past but couldn't get around to confessing to her about it. (He didn't know it was her or him at the time.) After hearing this, Vincent excused himself and sobbed in his room.
- Tools of the Trade (Age 29-32): Wandering far from the city one day to escape from the immense pressure placed on him, he stumbled into an extremely psychotic anarchist out on the woods that became his closest friend after said future friend tried to cleave him in half with a bastard sword, ensnare him in one of his labyrinth of traps, and blow him up with a hidden detonator. Vincent subdued the loon, and asked him his name. His name is Dr. Bastard.
- Vincent asked if the Doctor knew who he was, and if he was afraid of him. The Doctor said yes, but Vincent was the least of his worries when the apocalypse was going to come with angels, aliens, and worms coming to destroy the earth in the future. Vincent was baffled at this claim, but since the Doctor wasn't afraid of him they became friends after the incident where Vincent wanted to retire from his responsibilities for a while before heading off to the city again. (Vincent says, "Why? With all the shit that happens to me I deserve a fucking break.")
- During Vincent's tenure in Dr. Bastard's madhouse, he learned a few things about making improvised weapons from the Doctor. But it couldn't compare to the Doctor's more creative designs.
- Earning Your Name (Ages 32-39): Vincent came back to the city to take on jobs that have killed people already. The criminals he was facing were on par with his abilities, so figured that he might need support in dealing with these threats. So, the Bounty Hunter's Guild was established to unite bounty hunters to take down their targets.
- Rise of the Bounty Hunter's Guild: Vincent established a guild to gather people like him together in case a job was too dangerous to go alone, but the pay was too high to ignore. The people would split their earnings based on their contributions. The guild ran small-time and Vincent made friends there for a while until...
- Fall of the Bounty Hunter's Guild: Someone put a hit that paid millions on Vincent, and soon every bounty hunter's loyalty was put to the test. Some sided with Vincent because they favored long-term work, but others sided with the mysterious employer because they were out for the quick buck. The skirmish was so violent that in the end there was a body count of 43 people lying around the field. This was enough for the Bounty Hunter's Guild to disband and for Vincent to take his work elsewhere as the other bounty hunters did.
- Fame: After the Bounty Hunter's Guild incident that left 43 bounty hunters dead, news broke out from every corner of the world covering the event. This is how Vincent came to be a famous bounty hunter though there were other bounty hunters like him that could boast of even more daring feats.
- Settling Old Debts: When Vincent arrived at his hometown and found that the Mercer family was constantly being harassed for not being able to pay for the gambling debts, he swooped in and paid it all while concealing his identity. He was referred to as the "mysterious benefactor".
- Home Alone (Ages 39-43): Vincent spends his time idly drinking away his sorrows in an ancient house that is dilapidated to the point that nobody dares enter it. Vincent doesn't mind it collapsing on him, since he's just waiting to rot and die from whatever circumstance that might kill him. He doesn't just outright kill himself because he hates life and death equally, they're just both the same to him. In life, you can die thousands of times but in death you die forever. (Vincent says, "What's the fucking difference anyway?")
- Employers: A list of people that routinely assign Vincent missions. He trusts them enough to not disclose his location to the authorities; he even personally suspects that these are people that he's acquainted with but they never reveal their identity to him. The employers generally send text messages or couriers to inform him of a task to be done. Vincent rarely meets them in person, and they don't give out their names so Vincent gives them nicknames based on his previous interactions with them.
- The Perverted Blade Runner - He always seems to give missions that pertain to dealing with robots. He also seems to give the most amount of missions that involve killing them as well. He is given the moniker, The Perverted Blade Runner, because the employer always asks Vincent to use his Artificial Life Scanner on anybody he remotely suspects of being an android/gynoid. Mostly the employer points to females though, and Vincent isn't complaining because he receives extra pay for every picture he takes.
- Pay Grade A - Vincent is a professional bounty hunter with over 15 years of experience under his belt. He can get paid in a job that ranges from 500,000-100,000 dollars. He receives a monthly salary of 50,000 dollars to keep up with his living expenses.
- Savings - 5,000,000 dollars.
- Notoriety: After being listed as a suspect in the Bounty Hunter's Guild incident, the authorities issued a statewide manhunt on him. Quite a number of people have forgotten him already after searching for him for 4 years. Most of the public have seen his face once, but the event happened so long ago that they can't piece two and two together.

"In the grim darkness of the future, there is only war."I need clarification on what you mean by wacko. The common folk after all would consider any that disobeys humans to be insane. In addition, do you mean any mechanical lifeform or just androids & gynoids?

Project: CHIMERA
Subject: C-317/M48
- Official Designation: C-317/M48
- Name: Mireille Lavigne
- Race: Bio-Engineered Human
- Appearance: [[LOADING...]]
- Abilities & Skills:
- Through its Fennec ears the subject is able to ear exceptionally well, making this a great ability to gather information.
- Personal Note Prof. Li: Show
- Due to its Crab genes C-317/M48 is able to sever its own limbs and regrow them. The growth process leaves the subject with little to no energy left and takes from 10 minutes to a few hours, depending on how much energy the subject had at the beginning and how much of a limb is lost. Since the subject is nearly defenseless during this time doing this is extremly risky in a mission.
- C-317/M48 has special glands in its arms that produce the deadly Tetradotoxin, along with the offensive capabilities the subject is able to let tiny amounts of the toxin circulate in its body to supress its own pain.
- C-317/M48 has silk producing glands in its mouth enabling the subject to excrete extremely durable silk from its mouth.
- List of notable Crosses:
- Vulpes zerda (Fennec Fox)
- Idolomantis diabolica (Devil's Flower Mantis)
- Ocypode ceratophthalma (Horned Ghost Crab)
- Hapalochlaena (Blue Ringed Octopus)
- Caerostris darwini (Darwin's bark spider)
- [[ERROR: SECURITY LEVEL 6 REQUIRED TO VIEW ENTRIES]]
- Vulpes zerda (Fennec Fox)
- Through its Fennec ears the subject is able to ear exceptionally well, making this a great ability to gather information.
- Inventory:
- Wasp-Type Needle gun: The Wasp-Type Needle gun or Needler is a deadly weapon, it works by firing tiny fletchettes that can easily shred flesh, but won't pierce body armor. These fletchettes are created by shredding a polymer-composite block and fired by a burst of compressed gas, making the Wasp noiseless with little to no recoil.
- Explosive-collar: C-317/M48 wears a collar around its neck, to prevent enemies from salvaging useful information from its body the collar explodes should the subject ever die, at first this was also used to keep the subject in line but as the subject got older and older it came to accept its situation.
- Personal Note Prof. Eisen: Show
- VI-Device: Since no gene modification could allow C-317/M48 to hack into digital devices the subject carries a memory core containing a Virtual-Inteligence. Since there is a possibility that C-317/M48 can't inject its serums by itself (for example after a T-28 dosis which leaves the subject without functional hands) the device is able to inject her serums via voice- or remote-command.
- A few doses of T-28: The Type 28 serum targets the cells in the arms to enter a state of rapid mitosis, growing a chitin exoskeleton and spikes, so that the subject's forearms and hands resemble the raptorial legs of a Mantis. This process costs C-317/M48 a lot of energy, which is why the subject is discouraged from using it without sufficient reason.
- A few doses of T-34: The Type 34 serum targets the silk producing glands in C-317/M48's mouth forcing them to produce silk in a much higher rate and enabling the subject to expel the silk by force.
- A few doses of T-95: The Type 95 serum targets special glands in the subject's arms, these glands produce Tetradotoxin which they will upon injection of the serum secrete to cover C-317/M48's fingers (or its spikes in case of an active T-28 injection).

"One may feel fear in the face of danger so long as one banishes fear when danger actually arrives"Well you technically could play as Homunculi and other magical critters, though that means everyone will treat you as an Illegal (so either constant threat of murder or abduction). Technology has become greatly advanced by Kyle Jones' actions and some HUNTER security laxing, so an Aging Fluid exists amongst other alternatives. Thus if you can 'mundane' it any option is possible, so the only limit is your imagination. In addition, you could just focus on their Inventory instead, making the clothes the superman than the man himself.
Well Vic, got an operating medium for the jobs in mind? There's also the Uni group, who consider only humans to be right so they would send out jobs to deal with rogue machines.
"The Omniverse is the collection of all possibilities, and all possibilities must eventually come to pass."I'm currently pending between two general ideas.
Either a scientist/agent for Kaiser Neo
Or a bio-engineered retord-baby that went rogue/agent
Maybe a mix between both

"One may feel fear in the face of danger so long as one banishes fear when danger actually arrives"As in not naturally conceived but instead from an egg-cell that was both fertilized and born in a laboratory.
Traits would be crosses with animals to make a better agent (hearing like a cat for information gathering for example) I'm thinking about something along the lines of TerraforMARS

"One may feel fear in the face of danger so long as one banishes fear when danger actually arrives"It would have to be something that can be easily concealed so not everyone would notice you're an agent out for information, as opposed to TerraforMARS where everything was optimized for pure combat. But also a bit that can be used to easily get out of combat. I'm thinking about a cross with a Fennec (Desert-Fox) As long as she would wear a hat nobody would see the pair of ears. Maybe also a bit of chamelion genes for stealth ability, I'm not entirely sure yet but it will probably be something along those lines.

"One may feel fear in the face of danger so long as one banishes fear when danger actually arrives"Use mostly underused species, to further highlight she was explicitly engineered as an agent. Though regarding them Robits, there is a wide variety of designs. Thus some gynoids would be fully functional (though if that means more robits, cyborgs or straight humans varies). However I'm just bringing that up to know why you stopped.
"The Omniverse is the collection of all possibilities, and all possibilities must eventually come to pass."Her normal arms would turn into those of a praying mantis, maybe only her hands, giving her blades to fight.
They would look like this

"One may feel fear in the face of danger so long as one banishes fear when danger actually arrives"I would say less a transformation and more growing mass over her arms. Thus she needs sufficient energy prior, not the best in a fast paced battle, and she'll need the weaponized carapace surgically removed before she can use her arms normally again.
"The Omniverse is the collection of all possibilities, and all possibilities must eventually come to pass."I love that Vincent is so prepared... The condoms were a nice touch. I think This
should be amoungst his themes.
Also, since he tracks down criminal Artificials I have an idea regarding your character and mine... I might PM you later.
“Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?”I don't know which side to pick because I'm not familiar with the factions. I would think that he's better suited to be unaligned because he's a bounty hunter, but he can also take on the role of a mercenary if necessary just as long as it pays.
Note: I'm even thinking of adding a car with its inventory systems of its own... I want to stop... adding inventories but I'm already addicted to it.
Just a question, if you were to tropefy my character, what would it be?

"In the grim darkness of the future, there is only war."He's like Batman with so much crap... Does he have anti-shark spray?
I'd say - Defective Detective

“Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?”

Cyberphile is a roleplay set in an alternate future of Vitality Underground, and focused on the negatives of letting growth run untempered. Thus one of the main focuses is on racism of Artificial and Altered life. Thus, with little exception, the Players cannot be a member of Servants or Eldon (as they would be completely cool with the 'freaks of science').
However, the intention of the roleplay is to gradually work out who 'Kyle Jones' is, thus the Story follows four routes: Kaiser-Neo, Cybernetics Unbound, Genesis Seed and The Artifium. Each route works to reveal elements of this world, and with all four routes completed the 'Final Route' will begin.
Though, bringing your own touch to things is also acceptable, and I would indeed like to know how your character views the world of Cyberphile.
Artificals At Work:
Artifium: Terrorist group made of Artificial lifeforms, primarily mechanical, who deem humanity outdated and in need of extinction. Though the organisation is rather secretive, in the past few years the Artifium have been responsible for several events. Most notably is how they were responsible for destroying Kyle Jones' Cyberphile company, the leftover pieces assimilated into what is now Kaiser-Neo. Still, there are some who can bring themselves to say the Artifium are in the right, though they're obviously deranged to believe that.
Augmentation: Though it has only been twenty years, giant leaps in genetic engineering and cybernetic implants have taken place. Though Gene Mods are easier to take the younger one is, cybernetics have become commonplace enough that one needs a license to own any combat-capable piece. Thus, unauthorized use of deadly cybernetics means they'll be forcibly taken away.
Cybernetics Unbound: Vigilante organisation that's been around for eighteen years, they are dedicated to enforcing the laws the police can't bring themselves to. However, technically criminals themselves for taking the law into their own hands, the members of Cybernetics Unbound have to be stealthy. Thus to that end they end up collecting illegal technology from the people they take down. Though, while they may act individually there is indeed a leader to their organisation.
You guys already understand things overall, and I'll just finish the Societal Changes section later. Just been wanting to put this up, so yeah.
Application Format
Anywho, I'll need at least one person for each Route, though you don't need to do anything special to count. Just state which Route you want to follow and I'll set things up from there.
