Seedy Part of Town
The Don sighed and gave a resigned shrug. "Can't say I expected any better from you."
He took a second to take another drag before speaking. "Well, I can't say I didn't try. Peter. Roger. Escort our good friend Dionysus off the premises." He pointed at the two goons closest to the god with his cigar, then turned his seat around. He motioned for a few others to open the drapes so he could look out onto some of his territory.
The drapes opened up to a grand view of a casino, filled with money-wasting diversions of all sorts. Lives were wasted here on a daily basis, families ruined, and bank accounts emptied. The kind of stuff Don Macui enjoyed.
The two mafiosos closest to Dionysus, made motions to grab at his arms to bodily lift him off the chair and onto his feet. Another one opened the door to the room.
G was here - 2/9/24Art Park -> En Route to Apartment
After a while, Vanth closed her sketchbook and stood up. It was nice to have some time to herself, but she couldn't stay here all day. If nothing else, she'd run out of things to draw.
For lack of a better idea, she started heading back towards her apartment. She might as well keep track of the news, especially concerning the park situation. Even if she couldn't help with containing it, she could probably help deal with the aftermath. All she needed to know was when it was all over.

"<Ah, perhaps I heard wrong, then,>" Inari said thoughtfully, nodding. "<I plan to do some exploration of my own tomorrow, to see what I can find for myself.>" She gestured over toward the center of town, where a thick pillar of smoke, underlit by angry red firelight, was beginning to cloud over the sky. "<Is that something we should be concerned about, I wonder?>"

Tsetse quickly dodged out of the way of Nyx's punch. She hissed at her, spitting flame out of her mouth, and charging at her like a flaming fireball, attempting to chomp her razor-sharp teeth into the other Goddess's face.
Nusku watched Anansi for a moment, before moving over close. The spider god would see the rock from underneath the webs bubble and burst out, magma spilling all over them and making them burst into flame, undoing his good work.
"Arachni. For a god of knowledge, you are very ignorant of what you do."
Venice Beach Pier
The monstrous krakens screeched out from the arrows, and as they were torn into and became mutilated, they split apart, making more and more smaller and even angerer squids that continued to destroy everything.
Kanaloa lazily opened one high at the god yelling at him, sighing and standing up and moving his wave closer to the pier, but still barely moving an inch. "And who are you supposed to be?"
Seedy Office
"Oooh..." Dionysus giggled as he was lifted up by the men. In a motion that was strangely both very quick, and seemed to happen extremely slowly, he moved his body around, wrapping his arms and legs over the guard's bodies in a very provocative manner. He moved his face close to one of them, pressing his lips up against the guard and holding a long, sensual kiss for a few moments. He then shifted his weight and flexible contorted his mouth towards the other guard's. Slowly, their senses went hazy, for the taste of the intoxication on Dionysus's lips overpowered them, making them very calm and downright feeling good, and they slowly sank to the ground, and Dionysus casually sat on the pile of man, using them as his chair.
"Mmmmm... Just so you think I can be taken advantage of, Donny... Even though sometimes I like being taken advantage of~ Ah, I hate when we fight..." Dionysus did his classic pout that sank ships and ruined kingdoms.
Forest
Anansi flipped away from the magma, landing a few yards away from Nusku.
"Is that so?" The spider god drawled, although his posture was tense. "Then would you care to relieve this young god of his ignorance, old timer? 'Cause it looks like you and Tsetse up there were planning a human barbecue."

"You would think a god of drunkenness would at least have a little bit of tolerance to your wiles. I suppose the opposite is true. It was a gamble really, and you know how much I love those."
The Don didn't bother to turn around. Instead, he seemed content with lookin over his 'kingdom'.
"Be a dear and walk yourself out then, would you? I'd rather not find out how many of my men you can subdue before you run out of energy."
G was here - 2/9/24"A concerned citizen." Hephaestus replied flatly. He wasn't going to associate with the Gods right now; he was just doing what any citizen with his power would do, and honestly at this point Hephaestus couldn't tell how much of his craftsmanship was still supernatural anymore.
He flicked his left wrist, retracting the machine gun, and instead aimed the net gun on his right arm. Bullets weren't working, but the nets should work to just stop them until he took care of Kanaloa. He made sure to cycle the chamber once, though; he'd loaded that one special net, the one he used to ensnare Ares and Aphrodite, but didn't want to use it yet. He kept walking towards the edge of the pier, now trying to manage the squids by launching expertly crafted nets at them, trying to get them tied down. "You're gonna stop killing people, understand? You don't got the right to do this, man."

<"Hmm...no, I do not think so. It would be best that we avoided it, just to be sure."> She said with a nod, turning away from the angry red cloud. <"Perhaps the pier would be nicer.">
"I am nature's weapon. You are unfit to carry on your species, and I shall ensure that you do not do so!" - Charles Darwin, XCOM SniperAmongst the things Neith expected to happen when she threw out that barrage of arrows, them splitting into smaller squids was the last thing she expected, she gave a giggle even because it looks goofier in real life than in cartoons that these usually happens.
Then she realized that the smaller squids are still a threat to the folks on the pier and made haste to her car, this time disabling the autopilot and drove it down to the road herself. "Warning: this spot is not suitable for parking according to the traffic law-" the Lamborghini spoke before Neith turning it off in peeve, this shit was as talkative as that talking paperclip on Windows, Neith once complained to her co-workers.
She switched to another quiver in the trunk and ran into the fray, surveying the situation and more specifically, where's the squid and the civilians.
That robot's doing work, Neith admitted offhandedly in her mind when it netted some of the squid, which should not be much of a threat to warrant an arrow, but let's see how his negotiation with this water god goes.
http://www.last.fm/user/sgtpendulum Yo, check out what I'm listening, it'll be heat, brah :^)After escaping that jewelry store fiasco and suffering head trauma from a viciously thrown lemon, Hermes followed the two women who were about to head to the pier, for he suspected that the one called Inari was a goddess in disguise like himself. Cautious as ever, he was reasonably distanced away from them, blending within the crowd well, it would take some difficulty to notice that he was stalking them. In his hands were the golden rings he stole from the store, he idly rubbed his prize, "Man, I feel like a hobo taking scraps, there were days that I could have gotten a mountain of this stuff."

"<Not at all,>" Inari demurred. "To the pier we go."
Fortunately, it wasn't much of a walk before the ocean became visible, the black liquid wash glittering dully in the artificial light of the city and the boardwalk. Inari kicked off her shoes as they reached the cool sand, burying her feet down to the warmer underlayers with a sigh. "<It's been a while since I've been to the beach,>" she said happily, letting her accent come through thickly. "<Ages, really...>" She paused, all but perking up her ears. "<My Lady, did you hear that? It sounded like a scream, from the pier...>"

The Sun Goddess turned her head to the pier, having heard the scream as well. <"It seems the city refuses to be silent tonight...perhaps we should investigate...no, we definitely should. It is our duty to protect and guide the mortals, even if they do not wish for it."> She said with a nod to her fellow Kami. <"I trust you did not come unarmed?">

"<Of course not,>" Inari said, smiling. She fished around under her neckline until she snagged her necklace with a fingertip, pulling it out so that the four jewels there rested across her chest. She also shrugged the walking stick off her back, the tip sinking into the sand a little as she rested her hand on it. "<Shall we?>"

Tsetse allowed herself to be attached by Nyx, barreling down towards the ground. She let out a cackle and flipped around, wrapping her feline body around Nyx and bursting into flame, chomping down on her in the process.
Nusku paced around Anansi. "Hmph. The humans don't matter. The destruction does. There is so much more going on than these fools realize. We are just doing our part, and you would be wise to not interrupt."
The Pier
Kanaloa sighed, obviously not really caring about Heph's threats. He held out his hand, and a huge blast of water with many pounds of pressure barreled at the God. The Hawaiian god stood up on his wave. "I'm not the one you should worry about. They are."
The squids continued to multiply and multiply, becoming harder to wrangle up.
"Goddammit!" Hephaestus took a knee as the blast of water slammed into him, lowering himself so that the attack didn't knock him totally off balance. "I got enough to worry about without assholes like you killing people!" He raised his left arm and again exposed his machine gun. "Water-cannons can only take you so far, you know. You should consider packing a gun if your actual powers won't hack it." He struggled forward against the water and opened fire, arm again rattling as dozens of shots flew towards Kanaloa.

Just off the pier
<"Good, you will need to fight as I talk, more than likely."> Amaterasu spoke with a nod as she looked to the pier. <"I will fight if necessary, but as it is night I would like to avoid doing so...">

"<Of course,>" Inari said, nodding. She shifted her grip on her cane, taking it in her left hand, and walked closer to the confrontation unfolding on the pier. Someone in a mechanized battlesuit was spraying bullets wildly across the pier and the beach; no need to ask why, given the monstrous squid currently attempting to destroy the wooden structure.
"What's all this nonsense about, gentlemen?" she called, raising her voice a little to be heard over the cannon. "You're disturbing a lot of people here."
It's been fun."This is interesting," Hermes said as he came out of his hiding place, he wore a balaclava to disguise himself from Inari so she wouldn't be able to spot the one who stole her wallet. Hermes casually strode into the pier, palms raised upward, putting up his best charm he said, "Everyone, everyone, there's no need to fight on such a beautiful night especially in front of two lovely ladies. I have no doubt that you would all put up a splendid battle against each other, but what will it serve to further your interests? Violence is clearly not the answer, but surely we may all open our hearts even if just to pay attention to my concerns?"

Tsetse barreled down, slamming into the ground. Her body went limp, and she curled around Nyx, assuming a position much like a ball, flaming and attempting to completely surround Nyx. She twitched and cackled out, her body taking some damage from the crash.
The Pier
The squids continued to rampage, some of them attacking the Gods. Their tentacles could extend and were very sticky. Kanaloa sent out whips of water with ease, using them to guard himself from Heph's shots. His water could be shaped into very complex patterns and shapes, often looking like human hands that would slap the bullets away. "A little bit of water never hurt anyone...But a lot can kill you."

"<My Lady,>" Inari said by way of assent, stepping forward to walk beside Amaterasu. "<On that note... I have to admit, I'm already worried about my search. While I was in San Francisco, I heard that the Greeks have taken over much of this city. Is that true, or just hearsay?>"
It's been fun.
