Turns out, all of your friends deaths was all for the entertainment of the people that are watching this game In-Universe. Immense Mind Fuckery and Fourth Wall Breaking ensue, with the Author Avatar of the company, who also works for the In-Universe version of said company, getting killed after the In-Universe Audience Surrogate thrashes the set, after which the survivors leave the now destroyed set, supposedly back into the real world. Itís unknown whether The Reveal was true or just one big ruse.
