I think this trope is showing a lot of promise, but it needs a little work. It probably belongs under Trivia rather than YMMV, as it's describing an objective fact of a work's critical and popular reception, rather than a subjective opinion of an individual regarding a work. The description is mostly fine, but a lot of the examples are rather vaguely worded and don't do enough to describe the respective ghettos and how the works in question broke out of them. It also need more examples and cross-wicking.
