Exactly What It Says on the Tin.

What is the craziest, weirdest, most messed up, insane, or just plain unorthodox idea you've ever considered for a story?

It might be something you've actually done; it might be something you want to do; It might be just an idea that's popped into your head and you've never had an opportunity to act on it yet; it doesn't matter.

I think I have at least two, but I want to hear what others have to say before I give my own.

So lets discuss!

Hm, well I did write an epic fantasy war story kind of thing featuring anthropomorphic fruit and vegetables, really dangerous rubber ducks, and numerous references to things I made up on the spot. It was also my first attempt at writing a Lemony Narrator and at breaking the Fourth Wall.

Still a great "screw depression" song even after seven years.

Damn. Didn't expect this much craziness right off the bat.

Best I've got is an idea where two female characters are each others Mom's through time travel.

One gives birth to the other, the daughter travels back in time, and ends up giving birth to her own mother, who then travels back in time so that she can can give birth to her daughter who is her mother.......

Still sounds weird now that I write it out.

Also got an idea for Vampires and Werwolves being so diametrically opposed to one another that Vampire bites can cure someone of Lycanthropy and Werewolf bites can cure someone of Vampirism. Their blood and saliva works as well.

I really like that one, and I'd like to think it's never been done before, but I doubt that because damn near everything has been done before.

I once had an idea for a fantasy world that looked like a reverse-pyramid-shaped "planet" connected to its sun via giant chain. Up and down were set not by gravity of any of those bodies, but rather a giant black hole that sat underneath this small system (don't ask why black hole's pull would work on humans, but not "planet", sun and chain). I can't quite recall the story, but gist of it was that humans were living inside the "planet" and one day they had to set out for some grand mission that involved them climbing up to the surface of the world and going on the aforementioned chain to the sun. For some reason I can't quite fathom, rather than using some passage leading from the inside to the upper surface, the plucky heroine had to make a climb up the steep wall of the "planet". Also, she was accompanying by an anime rabbit which could use its ears like Helicopter Hair.

On another note, the idea of werewolves curing vampirism and vice-versa sounds interesting, and I don't think it's been done before.

Rejoice!

A guy has a relationship with his sister. The sister dies, and her corpse is used in a reality-warping spell that turns the world in a JRPG-esque world, and the resistance is leaded by a creepy goth girl now turned powerful sorceress, and that is the only one that remebers the old world, and the hero only remembers because of her pet crow sitting on his shoulder when it all happened.

How to unmake this and return everything to normal? Now the hero, and only the hero, must kill his resurrected sister and their unborn and monstrous child, now born. The goth girl, aware of this, have sex with the hero to make him "forget" his sister. Did I tell you the crow talks?

That's what happens when I try to make my own concept of harem anime.

What is anime? Anime is...only a weeaboo way of saying animation, really.

Yeah I'm feeling greatly outmatched by the weirdness in this thread, which is escalating at a quicker pace than WWI.

My weirdest story is probably the Sun Wukong (from Journey to the West) and Baron Samedi (the Voodoo Loa) Buddy Cop Comedy in which they are tasked by a heaveny council to go through "The Road" (which is basically a collection of supernatural afterlives stacked along a endless road) to find and foil the plot of Grigori Rasputin, who seeks to take over the Road as his own personal kingdom. Grigori Rasputin wears a fur jacket, a purple suit, platform shoes and wields gold-plated machine guns in this story, also he talks in russian accented pimp slang (and his Villain Song is Boney M's Rasputin). Across the Road Sun Wukong and Baron Samedi become a budding friendship as they fight Rasputin's machinations, Nazi, Samurai, Robots, Vampires, Pirates, Mobsters Martians and all kind of menace to the supernatural world in the form of a massive, psychodellic Road Movie.

The most oddest...well, it's more like out of my mind story.

So here's how it goes. It's a standard Medieval European Fantasy setting. There's this evil overlord, who cooperates with this monster called Breeding Mother who pops out armies of demon children. Many warriors have gone to defeat them, but nobody returned. One warrior sets off to find his little brother, accompanied by a mage girl.

Then upon arriving at the villain's lair, it turns out that the Overlord and the Breeding Mother is one entity; it can change genders at whim, so it can both impregnate and get pregnant. Oh, and it can change genders of others as well, and it also turns out that it has captured all the heroes so far, turned them into women, stuck them in the dungeon, and forced them to give birth to its army. They give birth to a child every day because the children are very fast growing.

Oh, and that mage girl, who he had slept with, is actually his little brother who he was looking for all this time and now pregnant with his children. Yes, its triplets.

The hero commits suicide by setting everything on fire.

It was a very rough time when I wrote this.

Nothing that can be dignified by calling it a story, but rather concepts of on-the-cheap modifications of military equipment and putting together things that really shouldn't be put together. UAV'd MiG-25s as level bombers after discovering that the autopilot almost allows that already, or the realization that a tablet computer and some wiring lets you convert an old Sk-60C jet trainer into a precision-strike craft.

(Occasionally to discover that real life has upstaged me.)

A teen genius and his friends in middle school try to destroy the resident queen bee utilizing mecha, which eventually develops into a all out war (complete with soldiers, logistics, and field promotions) ending with them fighting back a conspiracy. Somehow, the government didn't take notice of this until the second series.

Even weirder, all the characters were cartoon birds of some kind. Yes, really. I was on a MLP kick when I was writing it, so that MIGHT explain it.

There was an idea I had which was like this. It takes place in an alternate Earth where North Korea managed to develop high tech (nukes, mechs, lasers/plasma) in secret. Then they demonstrate their power to the world by launching a nuke over the sea to Japan... which lands in a forest that's haunted by Yokai.

Of course, the Yokai are NOT happy with North Korea for blowing up one of their sacred forests and killing a lot of them, while the Japenese Government isn't happy because North Korea nuked Japan without provocation. Thus, both of them cooperate temporarily to destroy NK's forces.

Cue The Magic Versus Technology War that pits the supernatural Yōkai (and some of Japan's army) against North Korean hi-tech.

Ideas for the MC were varied, but in the end I came up with a half-Kitsune who's in the Japanese army (and is one of the people who helps to get the Youkai to co-operate with the army). Has illusion powers thanks to his mom, making him great at disguising as the enemy's regular soldiers (and fooling them). Works like a charm... up until said illusions fail against the North Korean infrared/motion sensor/ID tag-sensing mech and Powered Armor forces.

Not sure what humans/youkai/half-youkai the other allied characters would be.

@HandsomeRob: Strangely enough, something similar to the Vampire v.s. Werewolf thing has been done, except more extreme (Vampire bites turning Werewolves into Vampires, and Werewolf bites turning Vampires into Werewolves). See Western Animation under the Individual Battles on the page for Fur Against Fang.

[up][up]You mean the old The Real Ghost Busters episode right?

Yeah, I know that one. I can't say for sure, but it was probably one of the inspirations for the idea. I'd always thought that was a pretty cool ep to be honest.

Especially when the Ghostbusters all decide to just get the fuck out of there.

Most of the ideas I come up with don't get very far and can't compare with most of the craziness here.

However, a while back I was taking a college class about speech development. One class has us watching a short video where a little boy was telling to tell the person holding the camera about a spider in his room. Given that the point was to show off an intermediate stage of speech development, his vocal capabilities weren't quite developed. As such, it sounded an awful lot like he was talking about a spider in his womb.

That gave me an idea where a poor couple hope for a child, only to wind up being the proud parents of a giant spider. Despite their fear, they learn from a soothsayer or someone like that that the spider will make them prosperous if they let her live.

Years later, they do indeed become prosperous thanks to their daughter's silk works. Unfortunately, they also make sure to keep the spider locked up (don't want the customers to know where the silk comes from, for understandable reasons). As you might guess, the spider isn't so happy about this arrangement and dreams to get out and explore the world.

It didn't get much development beyond that, but it's an idea I'm considering coming back to someday.

And I found another weird concept. Would probably make a short story since... the protagonists are able to fix almost anything by themselves.

It's one of the very few instances where the MC is an ludicrously powerful Reality Warper (can create/destroy universes with a thought and more) with full control over her powers so that any "accidental thoughts" wouldn't be made into reality.

Basically, said MC has a number of children and students, each of which are reality warpers of similar caliber. And she trains them to do her job within a Pocket Dimension of their own.

Sounds OP? Well... it would be, if not for the fact that their adversaries are of similar power.

It so happens that the MC is one of an indefinite number of "good" reality warpers, who fight the efforts of a similar amount of "bad" reality warpers. The reason why the multiverse hasn't exploded yet due to a bad guy's thought? It's because the job of these good guys is to us reality warping to counteract/nullify the reality warping of the bad ones, both of whom are performing a near-infinite amount of reality warping thoughts subconsciously.

Whenever unprecedented and unnatural good or bad events occurnote , it's due to one of the bad guys or good guys respectively getting overpowered.

Most likely, the story's reveal would be revealing the actual job of these good guys, and the eternal war of reality warping they're all locked in.

[up][up] I want see that story. [awesome]

Help, i want your opinions of this concept to a world. I want your personal opinion because given who both share some simillar opinions in somes subjects you can help me more than others.

I write about a expy of Superman fighting against The Imperial Japan with Magic. Is the most weird and epic thing who i´ve write.

Well, is a sort of prequel of my other story, setting years before. Like fifty years before, in the equivalent of 1950. Brave City and his allies cities and invaded for the Empire of Viska (Imperial Japon WITH MAGIC AND PSYCHIC POWERS!) who try to Take Over the World because is the right of The "Sun King", his loved Evil Overlord.

The war is way more destructive to Brave City and when is invaded all seems lost...but a man came from the sky, destroy the weapons and beat out the enemy soldiers. That man is a user of a strange power called PSI Weapon but with a peculiarity, his PSI Weapon...is his own body. He don´t need use the normal process to active his powers, he is always in mode to a fight. He is superior to all the other users, he has a lot of powers who made him a A-rank user in less to one day. He is a Superman. He is terryfing to others...but the mysterious man just smile, is a Gentle Giant and say a few words who change the course of the war: I want join to the army.

And the story show the story of the man and how he choose join the army to stop the invation of Visva. He was a kid who was founded by a millitar general in a sort of capsule. Said millitar raised him not like a soldier but like a normal child. The millitar a really good man, eventually said child choose Walking Around The Earth like a freelancer periodist and them the Invation of Visva start. He see how Visva, a awful dictatorship start his genocide and when he try to stop the madness with a fight against the generals..he was stopped, Visva has many powerful PSI weapons users. And when thank of the help of some people our Hero get into the chamber of the king, he discover who the king is...a bit more than human. A Human with a fake body, decadent but powerful. And said King beat out the crap of our poor Hero.

Then he manages to run and back to Brave city. And he now with knowledge of the horrors who suffer the people in Visva try to stop The Sun King and his council. He made a group named AEON and they lead the army to stop the invation...and was hard, really hard.

Some heroes die, many villains die and the brutality of Visva is show. Eventually the army start to become more desesperate and take more extreme messures. AEON try to stop it but is hard.

Eventually Visva fall after the death of the Sun King and our heroes can live happily...and have a long time fighting against the PTSD.

The world is a better place. The End. For now.

Watch me destroying my country
