"Well...that does sound like a bootcamp, at least," Makoto said. "I didn't think they dissected EV Os though, since you could just cure them." Maybe she was missing another reason why someone would want to look at them like that. Perhaps to develop effective weaponry against nanites?

"I'll try to find the episode where we started searching for leads on Kaneshiro then. That's the target that I joined the Phantom Thieves to help with." At least this computer had some small summaries to help figure out what was going on. Episode 10 sounded right when she read it. "I think it's this one," she said, selecting it. The waterfall directly in front of them displayed an actual image as the episode started, and Makoto went to look for a seat.

The streets

Kelsey insisted it was a waste of time to fight her instead of trying to find his friends. Ben shook a fist in Kelsey's direction.

"Well it's murderers like you and Huntbug and the plant lady who kill good people! You're part of what's wrong with this stupid city!" Ben shouted. He turned towards Cole, who started tearing apart Ben's argument, before asking what was wrong. His fiery anger was staring to subside, as his body shook slightly.

"The huntbug and the plant lady... they k-killed Rean and Eve right in front of me. Ripped them into b-b-b-bloody chunks. Hercules tried to stop me from saving them. If I could've saved them... if they didn't have to... have to d-die... And then the Writer... and the Writer...." Ben looked up into the sky and glared up at nothing in particular.

"You're... you're not going to kill anyone else, you big dumb bully!" Ben suddenly shouted at the top of his lungs right at the sky. "I'm gonna stop you, I'm gonna bring you to justice, save everyone! I'm gonna... I'm gonna..."

His voice choked a bit.

"I'm gonnaa-a-aaa-aa!!"

Ben yelling at the sky quickly devolved into Ben wailing loudly, standing there in the streets. Tears pouring out of his eyes.

In the streets

Cole didn't say anything for a moment, just watching Ben quietly, before walking over to him, reaching out to pat him on the back slightly. "You should sit down, Ben. Or we should find somewhere to rest. You've overworked yourself too much and there is too much stress in you. You can't do everything."

Ben slumped down onto the floor, sitting down on his rear and just crying his eyes out.

"I c-c-can't j-just— just re-est," Ben stammered through his sniffling and sharp breaths. "People need us, they n-n-need the City Kn-Knights... they need... they need me...!" He sniffled a little more. "I let Eve and Rean down, I let them d-d-die... I need to make it up! I need to... I need to set things right! I can't just let more people die!"

In the streets

Cole shifted a bit to sit down next to Ben, just watching him for a moment...seemingly almost a bit dispassionately, though without any evident malice or even annoyance, just a sort of...resignation. Finally, when there was a moment of break in Ben's ramblings, Cole spoke.

"Ben, what makes you think you are letting anyone do anything?"

The streets

Ben sniffled and looked over at Cole.

"I could've saved them," Ben said with a shaky voice and a sharp wavering breath. He rubbed his eye a bit. "I could've kept them from dying. I wouldn't have had to... wouldn't have had to see their... b-b-blood all over the p-place... wouldn't have to watch the Huntbug... rip... rip Rean's s-spine out..." Ben's hands shook as he balled them into fists.

"But Hercules... Hercules stopped me from saving him! Diamondhead could've stopped Huntbug from killing him, I could've helped!" Ben looked pained. "The Huntbug... he... h-he killed Eve, I... I watched her die... I couldn't just sit back and let him get away with it!" Ben shook his head vigorously. "I just couldn't...!" Ben continued sniffling.

In the streets

Cole tilted his head slightly. "I was just at the buffet with Eve. She is all right. ...somewhat concerned about the mental states of the people around her, I think, though with everything that everyone has been through recently, I think I understand. ...I don't know who 'Rean' is, but they are certainly somewhere now and whole again as well. So far as Hercules, if I am...remembering him from the...camp?...correctly, he seeks to be a hero as well, doesn't he? So...was he stopping you, or...was he trying to protect you after you both witnessed what sounds like a massacre?"

He leaned forward a bit, hugging his knees and resting his head on them to look at Ben again, seemingly content to sit in a slightly balled up position. "And you didn't really answer my question. You say you couldn't let something happen, as though it is an absolute given that you could have absolutely stopped it. But you and I both know that there are some things no one can stop. There are people in this city in pain that neither you or I could ever know of nor reach. You can't be everywhere at once and you can't save everyone from everything. So why is it that you continually insist on trying even though I can see, right now, that it is destroying you?"

According to the cloaked man he was looking for a sorceress with white skin, white hair, red eyes and possibly wearing red as well. Due to the fact that Herc had no idea what a sorceress was and the description was very vague that it was safe for him to say that he wouldn't have seen such a person.

"Doesn't ring any bells I'm afraid, sorry." Herc apologised to the man sincerely for not being of much help in this figure's search for the person he was looking for.

Hospital roof

Fastanook made no verbal response, but one of his ears flicked, and he made a bit of a grimace while clutching his stomach again. He stepped forward, walking into the little zen garden. The stones lining the edge of the garden started to glow with runes, and Fastanook let out a bit of a gasp, falling to his knees. If Fastanook's emotional state was like an erupting volcano, then going into the zen garden was like putting that volcano under the ocean; it didn't solve the underlying reasons it was happening, but it did cool down the problems at the surface as several different kinds of magic started to work. Riley could even sense a few of them with his aura, radiating waves of calmness

Fastanook lowered his head a bit, letting out a sniffle, then started silently crying.

In the streets, with Cole and Ben

Down the street, Kelsey flinched when Ben started to wail, then turned back to look at the boys, then looked towards the colosseum again, and back and forth a few times. Though her face was hidden under the helmet, her body language conveyed a clear sigh of defeat, and she started treading back towards the boys.

Another bystander was first to say something though. "Hey, hey, kids what's wrong?" a certain bosmer man said as he approached, but then paused and blinked in mild confusion. "Wait, Ben?" Tuudol asked, recognizing the young omnitrix user.

Grocery marketplace

The man stayed silent for a moment of staring at Hercules, then turned his gaze to Rean. "And you?" the man asked simply, his eyes also narrowing just a little as he seemed to be sizing Rean up slightly.

Lewis, library ==> outside, ok ok time to actually do things i guess

"Don't need to tell me twice," I told her in a feeble attempt at a joking tone. As much as I wanted to play it off, I really, really wasn't eager to die a fifth goddamn time. "Anyway, thanks," I then added, examining the crossbow before slinging it on and tucking the bolts in my bag.

Having packed my things, I wandered out, not knowing what I was looking for and with only a vague idea of what I was trying to do.

Coming to what seemed like a reasonably clear space, I drew the crossbow, trying to make sure I at least knew how to use it before running into anything I might actually need it against. I wasn't too worried about being all that proficient, it was only gonna be a crossbow for a few hours, I just needed to make sure I wasn't completely clueless.

Just...load the bolt, pull back...wait, no, string, then bolt (the hell?), aim (at a conveniently-placed tree) and then...

!!

"Wow, soft trigger."

Hospital Roof

As much as Riley wanted to stay close to Fastanook, he also wanted to give him some space. The warring desires caused him to awkwardly follow Fastanook a few steps behind, stopping every other step hesitantly. That is, until the roof's magic kicked in.

At the same time as Fastanook, Riley gasped. The sudden wave of calm was almost as overwhelming as the guilt and regret that had been radiating off of Fastanook just a moment before. While he enjoyed the peacefulness, it was still overwhelming in a strange way. It was different from feeling someone else's emotions; it felt like he was having calm forced into him from all sides.

Taking a deep breath through his nose, he tried to use his aura to block the zen garden's effects. It was distracting him from the main purpose, being there for Fastanook. Still, he found it difficult to speak and disturb the tranquility, so all he could do was gently place a hand on Fastanook's back as Salamence laid down behind him, apparently deciding it was a good time for a nap.

I say that aloud too sometimes, just: "man, no life."

Yuna Yuki (Library) - Serious Talk Time

Yuna stayed behind and let her friends have their talk, instead opting to provide some support for Veela by being there... and... mostly by being there. That whole situation was still a bit alien for her, so she did not quite know what to say to make things better. Rachel seemed to have everything under control, fortunately, so she just focused on providing some moral support and some human contact. Maybe Two was right, and the two of them just needed a bit of thing to process things before they could talk things out. So that'd probably have to wait a little bit. Until then they could just... kill time by taking a walk or something? Maybe go somewhere nice where they could have some fun... like karaoke! She could use some karaoke!

It was while thinking this that Two approached Yuna with the intent of speaking to her. The city knight-in-training did not wait even two seconds to answer.

"Ah, sure!" she exclaimed, jumping up from where she was sitting, after which she momentarily turned towards Veela and Rachel. "I'll be back in a bit. Let me know if you need anything, okay?" She let herself be led away somewhere a bit more private, although she could not help noticing the expression on her friends' faces... well, on the one without the mask, obviously. "What's up? You look a bit upset."

Ben was relieved to hear that Eve was fine, but then Cole tried to speak some sense into him. Ben, already shaken, shook his head further, looking at Cole with pain and denial.

"Because... because if I don't do something, it'll destroy me more!" Ben insisted. He sighed, putting his hands into his hair. "I can't not do anything, this isn't... this isn't right! I have to do something! I have to, or it'll get worse! And I can't take that!" Ben's breathing quickened again, and he looked down at the ground again, only vaguely acknowledging that Tuudol had approached.

"Everything," Ben muttered. "Everything is wrong."

In the streets

Cole glanced over to Kelsey for a moment, then up to Tuudol as he approached. "Ben thinks that if he isn't always fighting and always trying to save everyone from everything in this city, that it means that he isn't a good enough hero," Cole said, still rather emotionlessly, all things considered, before looking back at Ben.

"Ben, when soldiers back home spend too long in battle, too long away from their homes, their families, their comfort, they begin to become...not people. They start to lose themselves, lose what makes them who they are, what makes them real. They become cold, unfeeling, and prone to anger, disruptions, striking out at everything and everyone, because they are in so much pain that they cannot see anything but battle anymore. You see enemies in places where there are none, see dangers where there isn't any, and put all the blame for things that you couldn't have ever been responsible for on yourself. You are exactly like one of those soldiers now."

He pointed towards Kelsey, tilting his head towards her as well. "That is what I think has happened to her. She was hurt so much, so badly, by the demon, that now all she can feel is pain. Is that what you want for yourself?"

Cinema — The show is about to begin

"Some EVOs I can't cure. Providence finds them a purpose, or at least keeps them away from innocent people. It could be worse" Rex answered. Even he knew he couldn't be everywhere at once and even if that were possible, there was only so much one person could do.

Makoto soon recalled the first target she took down with the Phantom Thieves. To Rex it just sounded like some random guy but the—probably heavily edited and not completely accurate—retelling of that was about to play and it was interesting going in without having an idea of what to expect.

"Kaneshiro? Sounds like bad news. But you took care of that. Let's see how the famous Phantom Thieves do... whatever it is they do. I'm sorry, what was it called again?" Rex asked, taking a seat next to Makoto.

Cinema- Looking Back On Your Awkward Phase

"Oh, so not all of them are curable..." To think that there were people and animals that were permanently changed who had to just deal with their problems the best they could, if they were even able to think clearly anymore. That must be horrible... "We call it taking hearts," Makoto said. "But it's really more like... taking what they think is worth the world to them so they realize just what they've really been doing." Makoto wasn't quite sure what was going on when the episode started at first... until she saw her extremely poor attempt at tailing Ren as he left school. This was the right episode after all, to her mild embarrassment.

"...I didn't think I was that bad," she said quietly. At least the sequence ended fast, and then cut to the opening. It was laid out almost like a comic book, dynamically cut and sharply colored. She hadn't expected to see Sae in it at all, but she supposed that it made sense if Sae really got to interrogate Ren when he was captured. The golden eyed twins dressed as jailers, however, were a mystery to her. It continued on to show the second year students' trip to the television station, which was fairly boring (and a little gross when that old man hit on Ann) until the interview with Goro Akechi came up. Right, she remembered that her friends had been there for that recording, even if she'd only seen it on television the next day.

Looking at Goro's behavior in hindsight made him seem so much... faker. Even as he played the innocent "Detective Prince" part, he was subtly manipulating the public into thinking that the Phantom Thieves could be the true villains. He'd planted the idea of their group manipulating and killing people into their heads months before Okumura was murdered. No wonder the city took to that lie so fast!

"The worst thing you can do is change someone's heart." What a smug, murdering hypocrite he turned out to be in the end. His words sounded nice and logical on the surface, but everything he did was false and calculated. And to think that the only reason they had known to watch out for him was when he slipped up and responded to Morgana's voice when he shouldn't have.

"It's worse hearing him talk like he's the hero and knowing that he's a traitor..." she mumbled, crossing her arms as the TV Station segment ended. And now the episode was back to her and the Principal's "friendly chat". He was stringing her along and she knew it, but she'd been too timid to push back. And of course, she went ahead and took on the task of helping with the blackmailed students as well. She remembered the principal dumping that responsibility on her too instead of calling the police. All for the sake of Shujin Academy's stained reputation.

The rest of the episode covered her own attempts at getting the Phantom Thieves to work with her and help stop the gang activity targeting students. To prove their justice before she handed them over to the police. Honestly, they were lucky that she'd gotten them on tape and not someone else, but she still felt kind of like dirt for twisting their arm like that. Hearing Ann call her out for not doing anything to help with the Kamoshida incident was bad enough, but maybe that was the wake up call she needed to realize that she was doing nothing but drifting through life, letting other people dictate what was right and wrong. This episode was a little more compact than the actual events had been. A lot of the information on Kaneshiro's gang had been dug up by the Phantom Thieves themselves, and she had just tagged along to look around Shibuya and check on their progress. The one time they had a good lead, she'd effectively lost it again by being too straightforward with her questioning. No wonder they thought she was useless... Ren certainly had more connections than she thought though, if he was able to get a reporter to exchange Kaneshiro's name for an interview with a student.

"...We didn't exchange numbers like that, by the way," Makoto said. "I called his guardian and asked for his number to contact him. Said it was for school." She sighed. "I just wanted to thank him for helping me out in the alleyway when I pissed off a gang member, but I guess that didn't make it into the episode." The rest of the episode showed how they figured out the keywords to get to Kaneshiro's palace, and she had to admit how creepy the floating bank looked, surrounded by a twisted city filled with broken people drained of all their money. After the ending credits rolled, the last scene was a shot of Shadow Kaneshiro, though there was a dark figure that had to be the "Black Mask" that they'd been wondering about. Akechi was keeping tabs on this case too then. How long had he been watching the Phantom Thieves from the shadows as they worked?

"I'm almost happy that they skipped what the people in Kaneshiro's screwed up world looked like. He just thought of them as cash machines he could break and throw in the trash. They were barely able to speak. I think I join officially in the next episode though, sorry..."

Somewhere outside, with Lewis

Miss Tairee only responded with a nod to Lewis before getting back to her scribbling. There weren't many people about, and those who were didn't bother Lewis as he got to his target practice; especially after he got started with that, actually.

"Swishee?! Swishee?!" a voice called from somewhere down the street. Eventually Louie came walking into view, looking around with a concerned expression. "Swishee, where are you girl?!" the trainer continued, sounding a bit desperate.

Hospital roof

Fastanook's mild shaking stopped when Riley put his hand on the gremlin's back, but the crying continued on still. It remained like that, relatively quiet, for a good while. Finally, Fastanook's crying seemed to calm a bit. "... I know, it's not fair for Veela" Fastanook muttered, in a guilty tone. "I'm just scared... Scared that, what if I start to like her, but she's still dead when I go back home? Or if it's a different time, then she'll meet a Fastanook who doesn't know her; he'll still hate her for being a loyalist..." the gremlin went on, the words not seemingly directed at Riley.

Grocery market

"Hm, very well then" the man said quietly, and turned to leave. Hercules and Rean would quickly lose track of him once more unless they specifically paid attention to him; although Rean could still detect the man's position going away from them.

In the streets, with Cole and Ben

"Uh... I'm not really sure what I just walked into, but come on, I'm sure we can find something to make you boys feel better" Tuudol offered, crouching down somewhat. "Are you hungry? Tired?" the bosmer asked.

Kelsey's approaching had remained with the same, uncertain and defeated sort of walk until Cole pointed at her and spoke about her issues. "What? Let's get something straight here; that feathery bastard didn't hurt me, he made me hurt other people! To go through this, it's the only way I can ever pay for that- you wouldn't understand, you're just kids" Kelsey said, her fists clenching. "What's with you talking like that anyway? No three year old talks like that" she added.

"You, you were in Ruckus?" Tuudol asked, eyebrows lowering in anger as he stood back up.

"Did you think we were talking about some other demon?" Kelsey asked sarcastically in response.

Lewis, outside, when two trainers' eyes meet...
though i suppose one trainer and some dude being intermittently stalked by a wild pokémon would be more accurate. eh. close enough

The first bolt struck clearly higher than I'd meant, by virtue of me overestimating how hard I needed to press to launch it. It actually looked...decently recyclable. I was tempted to pull it out and reload it right that second but, eh. It'd be less time-consuming to launch all my other ones and then collect them all at once when I was done here.

I loaded another one, this time more mentally prepared for the soft trigger press. Still off, but not wildly so. It'd be close enough to do damage, anyway. It wasn't so unlike a gun. Wasn't hard to tell that having to reload after every shot made the thing outclassed, though. Seriously, Two was kind of op today if you didn't account for magic and sufficiently advanced science converted into magic.

Still didn't feel quite sure on having showed her how to use the thing. Ahah.

I shot another one, and was in the process of loading a fourth when I heard someone calling out, and lowered the bow to make sure I didn't accidentally point it at anyone. Oh, just Louie. He can handle himself, I could keep going as long as he wasn't dumb enough to step between me and the tree I was shooting at.

...was what I thought to myself, anyway. In reality, I ended up quietly staring at him, sensing something wrong. Why would he be calling for his pokémon, unless they had a fallout or got split up? Not that I really acted on that masterful deduction, partially from ambivalence but mostly because it's not like I really had anything helpful to tell him even if I did set that aside.

...maybe I should...grab those bolts before they vanish on me...what the hell animal just opted to try and act as an impromptu comb.

I raised a hand to swat whatever it was out of my hair, but felt a whole lot of nothing there. Confused, I turned to look, and again found a whole lot of nothing. And then suddenly a loud screech behind me.

"The fu—" I half-raised the crossbow at, go figure, just Cascabel, and then lowered it again realizing that no, it was just a lazy screamer prank more or less. "Don't do that. Seriously, I almost shot you for god's sake." Well, I wasn't deaf anyway. Yet. "That wasn't even clever, surely you can do better than just a cheap jumpscare and being mildly invasive."

It looked pretty pleased with itself, until I insulted its elite pranking skillz, which seemed to bum it out slightly. Only slightly, and possibly not even very genuinely, considering it just as quickly brushed it off to give me a confused look.

"What—oh! Oh. No tricks, just me. I'm exactly who you think I am, if you're wondering what I think you are."

The shuppet gave this slow 'okay...?' nod, apparently understanding but still being intensely weirded out.

Hm. A wild pokémon and a trainer within a few feet of each other. And me. Wonder how this was gonna go. Well, the screeching probably caught his attention anyway.

Louie did in fact hear the screech, though he didn't seem to think much of it until he got closer and got a clearer view of Cascabel, to which his eyes widened just a little. "What? Another pokemon?" Louie thought out loud, tone a bit worried along with being confused. "Are you its trainer? You should keep them in a ball" the trainer commented, jogging over and staring at Lewis for a moment to add, "... you seem familiar..."

Riley listened to Fastanook ramble, glad to see that he was at least getting to a point where he could say what was on his mind. He couldn't deal with the problem if he didn't acknowledge what was going on in his head. So, Riley didn't interrupt, just continued rubbing soothing circles in his back as Fastanook continued.

"But I'm not a soldier," Ben insisted. "I'm nothing like a soldier! I'm... I'm a hero! I just..." Ben sighed.

"I just can't handle people getting killed, spilling blood, suffering... I know I can make things better, I know that I can keep it from happening! Lewis, outside, i mean honestly a midgame ace trainer vs an Actual Noob doesn't seem fair anyway

"Um, I don't know if I'd say that. It just, stalks me intermittently. We don't really have pokémon where I'm from, so I haven't—" I registered mid-sentence that he was struggling to recognize me. Oh yeah, that apparently took effort. "—wait, you don't...?"

I sighed. "Right then. I'm no one special, just Hot Pink Anger Issues Guy. It's a long story." Maybe I should make a sign going 'before you ask, yes, it's me, Lewis, this is a challenge thing, don't tell Ben he'll never shut up about this' so I can hold it up whenever anyone I've met looks confused. Cinema — It hasn't quite ended

Rex couldn't help but laugh as Makoto's frankly awful attempt at being stealthy. Just five seconds ago things had started on a pretty boring note but now it was hilarious. He tried to control himself since he wasn't trying to make Makoto feel bad about herself but that idea went out the window once he noticed another detail.

"Oh my god, the magazine is upside down!" he slapped his knee while laughing "Ok, I'm sorry it's just... you weren't joking about the lack of subtlety"

Soon enough, the opening started and while it was relaxing and mellow it confused Rex a little. He could recognize the Phantom Thieves but he also had no idea who a lot of the other characters were. On top of the normal questions like the identity of such characters or if any of what they were doing had anything to do with the story, Rex was also curious to learn about the title. Seeing it on the big screen had made him realize he didn't know why it was called that.

"What's with the 5? What happened to the other Personas?"

Unfortunately, things went back to being boring and mundane. By the looks of it the students were visiting a TV station or something, Rex wasn't really paying a lot of attention at this point, at least not until Ann's assets were showed up front and center thanks to a very creepy advances of one of the TV workers. Rex dealt with that by coughing and looking away from the 'screen' for a moment.

"...awkward"

But that was about as interesting as it got, since it was back to a boring interview. At least this actually was about the Phantom Thieves. And to be honest there was a very good argument to be made about the morality of changing people's minds against their will if it made things better for everyone but Makoto had already explained the truth was more complicated than that. There was no reason to think she wasn't doing the right thing. Plus, her attitude made it clear that whoever this discount Light Yagami was, he was quite the unpleasant guy.

"I think I remember the frog-girl mentioning something like that. Speaking of, where is she?"

The episode continued, and Makoto finally showed up again. She was tasked with investigating the Phantom Thieves, something that had apparently been going on for a while from the looks of it, but she had no leads. Her conversation with the rest of her friends—or not, given they weren't friends yet—brought something up that somehow discredited Makoto's usefulness. Rex didn't really know what to make of it, but he silently agreed with Ren's words that stopped the fight. Dammit, he was reasonable.

Regardless, Makoto surprisingly showed she had recorded the incriminating conversation and actually blackmailed the Phantom Thieves into helping her deal with a dangerous criminal if they didn't want to go to jail. First day on the job and she wanted to take down a mafia boss. Impressive.

Her approach, however, required some polishing. Acting like criminal activities are a cool thing really only works on movies. Honestly, if Rex hadn't known any better he would have assumed she was wearing a wire. The way she asked for Ren's number was a little familiar. After all, 'if it ain't broke don't fix it', right? Sure, Makoto explained the episode twisted the facts and things hadn't quite happened as they did on-screen, but it was still fun to make jokes about it. And it was still hard to believe they had only met a few days ago.

"I bet you tell that to all the guys you date"

The tail end of the episode had the team figure out how to affect this Kaneshiro guy which somehow ended with the city turning into some kind of twisted version of itself with the Phantom Thieves already wearing their uniforms. A lot of things were going over Rex's head and this labyrinth thing was just the biggest one of them.

"Whoa, what's with the Breach-y looking transition? Is that how it looks like to steal hearts?"

And that was it. There was an extra scene with a fat guy Rex could only assume was the so-called crime boss and some other random evil looking dude. The concepts of Personas, Shadows, and Palaces was already something Rex was struggling with so it meant nothing more than there was another bad guy they hadn't considered pulling the strings. Makoto felt a little bad about not having much of an impact on the episode though, but that was no big deal.

"It's okay, that opening scene made it worth it"

Cinema-Episode 11 Part 1

“It’s fine, I don’t think I realized how ridiculous I looked until just now anyway,” Makoto said, starting to laugh with him. “Now I’m happy that I stopped when I did.” The question of why the title was Persona 5 was understandable to have, since she’d been confused about it too.

“Apparently this is a sequel story. I only have the books for 3 and 4, but they aren’t really connected to this one. They’re pretty self contained except for having Personas and Shadows involved. The events and places they’re centered around did happen in the past though, I remember some of it being on the news.” If anything, those two books explained what had really happened.

“Oh, Futaba? She didn’t join the team until after this case. She’s probably still in her room, now that I think about it.” She wished they could have helped Futaba sooner now, but she knew that’d be impossible considering Futaba was the one that had approached them in the first place.

“I-I swear that it really was just to apologize!” Makoto said, blushing. “I mean… I kind of felt bad lying to get his number anyway…” As the Phantom Thieves finally got into the Metaverse, Rex wasn’t entirely sure what was going on.

“That’s what it looks like when we use the Metaverse App,” she explained. “It takes us to the other world where people’s shadows are. That version of Shibuya is what the city looks like in Kaneshiro’s distorted head. His Palace is the floating bank that was drawing in all the money, and that’s where we have to infiltrate to take the treasure he keeps inside.” Makoto got up to start the next episode, though she hesitated as she remembered exactly what happened before she got her Persona. Well… as much as it had hurt, she’d gotten over it and she didn’t see the need to hide it from Rex. With a sigh, she tapped Episode 11 and sat back down again.

“Uh, I'm just going to warn you that this one might be a little less funny…” Makoto said to him.
